Just called for a quote to install a single universal cat, quoted $875...Which is twice the price of a OEM Magnaflow C.A.R.B approved direct replacement that requires no welding necessary (bolt-on). Only reason that quote is justifiable is to those who are not mechanically inclined or just to busy. Either way if you dont mind paying twice the current market price then by all means indulge away.

Paid 30$ to repair someone elses work. He used a mechanic stethoscope to identify where the exhaust was leaking from just before my muffler and confirmimg my own test, very top notch, I wish i would of come here first. Called and they got me in right away.I will definitely be coming back here.

The Muffler Man Exhaust was Excellent Expertise Professional timely about they cheddar and about that muffler life they rock hard I will return to them for muffler needs it took them 30 minutes to install my husbands muffler on his Silverado Z71 off road truck clean shop even tho its a bunch of dudes working there.

Failed smog due to check engine light on and PO420 code in my 2005 Honda civic 1.7L EX. 95% chance it was the catalytic converter, 5% 0xygen sensor. An upstream sensor will cost about $150-$250, I was quoted $1300 for a new catalytic converter over the phone at some place in Folsom. MUFFLER MAN looked at my car (for free) diagnosed it was the CAT converter and said it would be $475 out the door (parts and labor). Was in and out in less than an hour with no appointment and have a 7 year warranty. DONT get ripped off, GO TO MUFFLER MAN!!!

The service I received was wonderful! Patricia has great customer service and knows all about vehicle repair. They are very honest and provides service with a genuine smile. I took my car there expecting to pay over $100 due to an automatic door locking issue but I didnt have to pay one penny! It was a simple fix and I truly appreciated their honesty because Im convinced any other auto repair shop would have charged me over $100 for a diagnostic and anything else they could add. It is hard to fimd an honest mechanic. So many have the ability to rip people off. I have never experienced a more honest, reliable, hard working auto repair shop then Muffler Man Auto Repair. Patricia is the best. I took my truck in for an exhaust leak on both sides of my engine. I heard it was going to cost a fortune. They repaired it within the same day and had it back to me the same day and for much cheaper than I was quoted by other shops. Later I had a crankshaft code come up. Took it back they repaired it. Same great service. This month I received another crankshaft code. After trying to service it myself and failing. I took it in to them again. I worried it was going to be something worse as in only an eight month span the part went out again. Patricia called me at work and told me that they got my truck started and cleared the codes. Said it was a bad crankshaft sensor. She said the part was just out of Warranty but she called her part supplier and they agreed to replaced the part. She said my truck was ready to be picked up. I asked how much the bill was. She said nothing is owed. Said thanks for my continued business. Are you serious? I’ve never left a mechanic without paying something. I told her she has a customer for life. They could have just made a problem up or charged for labor. They didn’t. I hope they stay in business forever and wish them great success. I highly recommend them as an honest mechanic.

My cousin took his car to jiffy lube and they told him he needed a new racket pinion and tried to charge him 1200 I refered him to these guys and they said they do it for 700 then he brought it in to them and there was nothing wrong just some things loose and only charge him for a diagnostic

This is the best place in town. They are so down to earth, honest and fast! Ive brought two vehicles here and even came in once, on a whim, with vintage barstools that needed welding. They didnt even bat an eye and told me they could do it, and they did for a great, fair price. Honestly cool people that Doo great work.

This place has promise. The support staff are friendly and helpful. Sadly this all changed when the person in charge showed up visibly irritated and unhelpful to both customer and staff.The staff seemed to respond to his demeanor the same way I did, we all wanted to get the hell out of there despite more staff than customers.I would hesitate to go here for any job bigger than a small weld or repair.

I seriously dont know what I would do if these guys went out of business! I recently made a big life decision and downsized to an older car. Kind of scary! Daniel and Patricia walked me through a pre-sale inspection and let me know what things I needed to watch out for. A small problem eventually did come up after I got the car. They not only got the it taken care of, they also set me up for a return visit just so they could double-check to make sure everythings OK after I drive the car a bit. I have taken my 96 Jetta to Muffler Man for a couple services.The first was a “hard start” issue that turned out to be my ignition switch, once that was fixed my car fired right up!! More recently, I was faced with a very scary situation of my brake pedal dropping to the floor while I was approaching a stop sign. I took my car over to the shop, and once again I am just floored with how kind, professional and overall amazing this mechanic shop is (not to mention their prices are great!). They lay everything out on the table before the work was done so there were no unexpected fees when I came to pick up my car. I cannot recommend this shop more to anyone who needs work done on their car. Being a woman, you never know the treatment you will get when you need your car worked on, and as always I am so so so happy that I took my car to Muffler Man the first time, and I will continue to do so for all of my vehicle needs. My jetta feels amazing to drive today, the brake issue is solved (needed a new master cylinder) and I feel safe driving again.

I needed a new catalytic converter for my vw cabrio, called and set up a time to come in and everyone at Muffler Man *exceeded* my expectations--it was better than I could have even hoped. In and out in less than an hour--they did the initial inspection, said they had the part I needed on hand, and told me itd take about 45 minutes--it took less than that! It was amazing.Quote from calling the dealership for parts: $1500+.Quote from the first mechanic I saw for parts and labor: $830 + $550 for an oxygen sensor.Quote from Muffler Man for parts and labor: $375. Also informed me that I did *not* need a new oxygen sensor.Saved me at least $1000!!!!

Run away from this place because I wish I never went here. Rude service and dishonest all around. Was going to walk out but was already there. Was quoted a firm and final price but charged differently. Surprised theyre still in bussiness but then again its probably hanging by a string since the guy overcharges.

Went in and the man was very honest and direct no screwing around. im not very knowledgeable in cars but i told the man i wanted my 2001 chevy silverado to sound louder and badass and i wanted to buy a muffler and he said so you just want the muffler or everything cuz if you want it to sound nice and loud youre gonna need more than a muffler. straight to the point. i told him lets do it. Said it would take about 2hrs. got a call in 1. best $425 i ever spent my truck sounds exactly how i wanted it to. Recomend anyone to come here.
