The gentleman at the counter was really nice. They work 6 days per week because they are short on staff. They changed my oil in under an hour and didn’t try upselling me on other products. Something I always experience as a female when I’ve gone to oil change places. I’m on a tight budget and really appreciate just being charged for what I need and not being scared into paying for things I don’t need just yet. I will go back here when I’ve saved up enough money for my brakes.

Initially I had called around to different shops for pricing information and everyone was pretty rude and would not really provide me with an estimate. I then called Meineke and spoke to the manager who took his time to accurately answer all of my questions and went over pricing options. I was so pleased with his professionalism over the phone that I took a chance and brought my car in. My car was repaired in a timely manner. The repair was affordable. Excellent service. Had an alternator that was failing. Couldnt keep up with the electrical load requirement of the car. Lights were dimming and engine would feel like it was going to stall every now and then.Scott at Meineke answered all my questions, was fair, and honest with the work. He also followed up a few days after to check in on the work just to make sure everything is running well. Ive taken my cars here a few times and have always been happy and impressed. Terrible place. If I could give zero stars I would. I will never come back. They didnt even know how to reset the oil change light and had nerve to ask me if I had a warranty on my vehicle still as if I was going to take it to the dealership to have it reset. I had to wait extra long for them to reset it on top of a long wait already. Plus for them not knowing something that simple they told me a out the door price before I came in and when they billed me it was not the out the door price given. When I confronted them about it. The older man denied it and he told me he didnt quote me a out the door price and I was basically liar. For warning the people on Folsom Blvd. Meineke do not have good customer service as well as good knowledge on cars. Dont spend your money here.

I would give negative stars if I could. Went in for a basic oil change. After the oil change they struggled with getting the oil light to turn off. After turning my vehicle on and off over a dozen times sitting in the parking lot they come in and hand me my keys and told me its all done. When returning to my car I hop in and start it, to immediately notice the light is still on. So I went back in stating the light is still on. So after another 30 minutes of me standing in the sun and 3 techs later they tell me sorry cant turn it off. And wanted me to go on my way. When going back in to talk to the man running the desk I expressed my concern and was responded to with well what do you want me to do about it, then offered 10 dollars off my next visit, I told him I had no intention of ever bringing my car back to this place of business and began to walk out as he ran after me screaming for me to never come back! Extremely unprofessional if you ask me. So if you would like a possible oil change with a side verbal harassment and unprofessionalism I would 100% suggest you visit the Meineke on Folsom.

My Ford truck was towed in for repair. I drove it home 9 days later so they did fix it. Their mark up on parts was ridiculous. I looked around online for starters. Looks like the mark up was 100%.Fender & floor mat covered with grease.They did keep my truck full of tools safe & secure while in their possession.

I had amazing service from Meineke. I took my car in for coolant diagnostic although my car was not overheating they did see some leaking and changed my thermostat for a very reasonable price. Great service and exceptional work done on the car. Thank you!

My experience was a constant drain on battery even when the battery was only 2 months old. Replace the alternator and still not charging. So then battery light came on and took it back for the 3rd replacement alternator and everything seems backed to normal and no more dead battery and the alternator seems to work. So Scott the manager help me get this resolved and the mechanics were right on diagnosing the problem so many thanks to all from keeping me from going to the dealer.

Had an appointment, got at 730. Sign says hours if business of 9...wth. took off from work rented a car. What a waste of time money ...day off. Never again. Got a confirmation email as well.

Front office guy is a joke. Told me 30 minutes for my oil change. Took 1 hour while it was in the booth. Told me “your car has a shield underneath it takes extra 30 min” I’m a former mechanic and let me tell you a shield doesn’t take that long. Nonetheless oil change is a 20 minute job at best. Very unprofessional to me and multiple others while I was there trying to up charge the women. 0 out of 5 if it would let me. DONT GO HERE! GO TO DANNYS AUTOMOTIVE!

I made an appointment for an oil change which should have been quick and easy. When I checked in, the man who I assume was the owner was fairly rude. He didn’t say anything to me except sign here and it will be 30 minutes. He then spent my entire wait time on a personal phone call. After an hour and 15 minutes, it was finally done. No one acknowledged that they were late and again, it was just “sign here.” When I questioned how long it had taken, he argued with me about a surprise safety check from corporate and tried to give me a note pad which I had no interest in. Upon leaving I noticed that they forgot the sticker that tells me when to go back. Maybe that’s good because I won’t be returning.

I bought the full synth oil change package. They had me in and out in less than 45 minutes. Didn’t try to upsell me on any nonsense either. Pretty good.

I was able to get my AC charged in less than an hour. I appreciated the speedy work, and the AC is working great now.

Called them to know if I can make an appointment they said for oil change I don’t need appointments it’s walk in when I drove 16 miles and arrived there they said they can’t do. Waste of time.

Made an appointment online for an $19.99 oil change. The above was confirmed and they sent me a coupon. When I arrived at my appointment time, the business was not open. I waited 30 minutes only to be told they do not even carry regular oil and it would cost $65 for full synthetic. They offered no discount and blamed online for the error.

I went to Meineke because they were advertising a coupon for a $20 oil change, my fault for not reading the fine print which states this offer is only valid for vehicles that take 5W-30 oil. What a scam. The actual oil change cost me nearly $50. Im changing my own oil from now on.

I was in Sacramento on business when my f250 engine light came on. I went to AutoZone and had them scan my truck. I then to Meineke . They work on my truck up in Las Vegas where I am from. I explained everything and when they ran there test the code did not show up that Auto Zone pulled. They noticed Noticed a small crack in my fuel filter cap which was causing air to get mixed into the desil. They changed my fuel filters and a seal on my fuel intake.My truck runs better now than when I first got it. I highly recommend Meineke.As I said I was in Sacramento on business. The owner and employees were nice and when they had to wait for the part to come in the next day, they gave me a ride back to my hotel.Thanks guys

I took my vehicle here for an inspection on an issue with the power steering . After they confirmed the power steering pump needed to be replaced , I decided to do the work. After taking it there multiple times because the problem would not go away . They told me give it a couple weeks and the noise would go away. Afterwards I took it to the dealership for another inspection just to confirm that they never corrected the issue. The dealership recommended replacing what I suppose my already paid for. They are under qualified to do any mechanical work and are impossible to deal with. I will never be coming back

Took my car into get a tire fixed, I hadnt realized I barely had any tread left, the manager or owner alerted me to this also stating it is illegal to plug a bald tire. The car is 16 years old and I didnt want to spend a lot on tires, so he priced me out two very decent tires at a very fair price. With the money I saved I asked if he had time to do an oil change, and a general service if I left the car, he accommodated me with this and the car was ready in probably two hours. I was happy with the work and the car did drive nicely. He sent me off with some recommendations on what some of the future needs would be on the car too, this was a big help so I can actually plan and budget for them. All in all a very good experience. Let me advise on one thing, if you are looking for a cheerful greeting, dont. The gentleman is a mechanic not a party planner. He gets the job done and his prices are fair. Its about car repair not personality. I mean absolutely no offense to this gentleman.

I rarely give 1 stars, and I am doing so with several 1-star experiences with this Meineke location under my belt. My issue with this experience, the final straw, is that they allowed me to schedule a 7:30 am appointment knowing that they would be closed for routine maintenance today. Another bad experience was when the mechanic tried to convince me that my steering wheel axle would break and cause a car accident on my road trip the next day if I didnt get it fixed with them. Of course, as I lived to tell the tale, this was a sales tactic meant to prey on my youth and ignorance of rudimentary car mechanics. Another mechanic looked at my steering wheel and said it was fine 🙄.I no longer live here- I was taking in my parents car today- but I will never again frequent this car service shop. I know that they have undergone lots of changes in management over the years, but they have been too consistently bad for me to give them another chance.

On October 1st I brought my 2007 F150 in for service. I was getting my spark plugs and coil packs replaced (brought in my own parts). I originally agreed to a price of $375 but to be expected I was up-charged to $450. The real issue arose when I noticed that my A/C that previously blew cold air, would now only blow ambient air. Living in Sacramento, this is unacceptable as the A/C was now blowing 90 degrees and up. When I brought the car back on October 2nd I was assured it was not their fault and they refused to look over the issue. However, they did offer to recharge my A/C system for $149. This is service is not needed and I believe they are in the business of taking advantage of unknowing customers. I would like a refund for my service or for my A/C to be repaired after they caused damage to the system.

Everything about the service was fast and well priced. Only complaint is that the manager wasn’t wearing a mask while dealing with customers, and that the employees were allowing customers to sit in the waiting room without a mask...i actually left while they did the work due to this and returned later to get my car. Rather deal with the heat than Covid. When the governor says do something, just do it, mandates are an effective law people.

Hours online are different from actual hours. I’ve had an appointment showed up and it was closed. Once I finally got in the service was fast however I asked for a basic oil change and they charged me for synthetic.

I called the day before with specs of RV asking if they can do oil change and ac inspection, charge. The assured it would fit. I received estimate. When I got there the estimate was much higher and rv did not fit. They did the work outside. They said my serpentine belt was cracked I told them to repair it and save it for me. My belt was NOT cracked in fact it was almost new. It appears like the ripped it with a screw driver. I was then told I needed brakes. They stated I had 10% left and that back brakes were drum. Estimate approx $800. I said no I’d do them myself. Well, they couldn’t inspect brakes if they didn’t take off wheels. Brakes are all disc (not drum)and in perfect shape. This company is dishonest and I plan on sending belt and my brakes to the automotive association. I will also be asking for the $150 I paid to change a perfect serpentine belt!

The shop should have chairs outside since social distancing only allows 2 chairs inside and 2 men were using them. A bit more that I expected to pay for Synthetic oil change, with tax and recycling fee $85.00. The Posted price listed was about $69.00. I could recycle the oil for free. The owner was super nice, fit me in without an appointment. Waited less time than he said I would wait. Overall I will go back.

Owners keep changing so the next person doesnt really know how to take care of customers and customers leave feeling like I need a new mechanic. Just ask the protester whose standing out front complaining about the work done to his car that still isnt dont.

Customer service was definitely an A+!!!!!! Matt helped me so much I couldnt thank him enough. He is very knowledgeable about what hes doing. He went beyond and above my expectations. The other workers were also great and very friendly. I got my brakes done and they were a decent price very affordable.

The oil change was fairly quick, but I made an appointment on the website for 8am and they didn’t open until 9am. They don’t accept the coupon listed on the website that specifically states it’s valid for the location. I paid for the oil change package, which was supposed to include tire rotation. They did not rotate the tires and now I don’t know if they did anything else that was supposed to be included. I can understand adjusted hours, but the pricing and service feels like a bait and switch and is extremely frustrating.

First when I got there I was not greeted by anybody in a friendly manner it was very cold. They told me my oil change was 3495. But then if I wanted my tires rotated and my fluids checked it would be$ 54.95 instead of $34.95 which I agreed to. My bill came up to $86 because I had to have extra oil which he didnt mention taxes and whatever else he added onto my bill that went with the oil change that he never explained to me. I had another appointment after so I asked him how long I would be he said 30 to 40 minutes I was there an hour and 20. When I went to leave I asked him if my car had all the fluids done to it and he said Im not sure let me go ask I had to wait another 10 minutes to find out that they had done it. I wont go back to this location. It was right down the street so Im a little upset

They did not offer the basic advertised price, but surprisingly, offered the pricier ones. They told me my car needed the most expensive oil, when I had been getting the blend for 5 years already. I think they were trying to take advantage of me, because I was a woman. Be wary of this shop.

Well, my car had been dying for about a month, and I had already poured about $200 into new parts. Sparks, Wires, even a new Fuel Pump. Nothin was working. I kept putting off the dreaded task of getting the thing diagnosed by a mechanic for $60 because I had mechanic friends trying to help me out for free, but eventually had to give in.I called up my friend and we pushed the car to the shop in the 100+ degree heat. Meineke was a little bit packed when we got in, so we were waiting for a good 20 minutes or so. The manager gave us a couple free ice-cold bottles, and helped me through the procedure. I signed the paperwork to get it diagnosed, and came back the next day.Well the car actually couldnt spit out an engine code. Engine kept dying before it could. The mechanic who worked on my car went under the hood to figure out anything he could. Turns out that my radiator is cracked, and my brand new sparks had completely fouled in under a week. He gave me a run-down of everything he could, and said that whatever was wrong with it, its not worth fixing it. My hope just about died right there, but he assured me he would quote me just in case he was wrong.The quote ended up being some $500. Dont have that money. The manager came out and they were talking for a bit, before signing off the paperwork that I didnt have to pay them for the diagnosis. Sometimes life doesnt work out the way you want it to, and sometimes people just get how you feel. Glad they knew what I was feeling.😂The Meineke crew pushed my car back into their parking lot, and I called up my friend to help me push it back to my apartment again. In the hour that it took him to arrive, the manager gave me another free bottle of ice water and gave me suggestions as to where I could get the most money for my car. Ended up getting a better offer for it on Facebook than PicknPull.Thank you so much for your kindness. We ended up getting the car scrapped for $150, but the guy towing it said I could take out any anger I had on it. Im excited to say that was the first time I have ever keyed a car!And to the guy who runs the Meineke google account and is replying to other peoples reviews, I hope youre having a 5 star day too. Your website says you open at 730am, the sign on your establishment says you open at 730am. I make an appointment for 8am, i show up on time. Your business doesnt open til 9am. Thats not good business, you make appointments to be convenient for both parties. My time of waiting more than an hr was not compensated.. im still working, im not sitting at home collected an unemployment check. My time is valuable just as your business!!

Car literally sat there for 2.5 hours before getting looked at. The workers were argumentive and claimed well the service is free and I should basically be grateful. Would not recommend this location on Folsom to anyone!

To get the negative out of the way, its a strange location. Thats it. For the positives, the staff is great--very professional, courteous, consistent (after coming here 4 times for regular service) and welcoming. Their work is thorough, even when they appear very busy. So, even though its a strange location, Ill keep coming back and recommend it to others.

Went in for an oil change for a road trip. They said I needed to replace a sensor thatll cost over $200, plus I went in with a working A/C, left with a broken A/C and of course, they deny doing anything. Definitely not going back, going to spend hundreds fixing my A/C in a Camaro at that.

This company.... always tells you there is something wrong with your car. So please if you are reading this please be aware that they will tell you something needs to be replaced or changed. Please please get a second opinion. They are trying to take advantage of you ( specially us women) and in these hard times... we dont need that.

Very professional and quick! I have been a customer for almost a year now and they always do a great job on getting my oil changed or handling other small repairs. The man at front desk is always very nice and flexible with pricing as well.

Shady place. Always telling me I need work done that I know I dont. When I was there, someone from the local mechanics association came in to talk to the manager about the recent complaints about this shop. Youll also have to wait more than 90 minutes for an oil change and the manager claims theyre out of non-synthetic.

Best automotive repair shop. Decent rates and quality work. Manager is really friendly and work things out with the customers regarding cost of the repair. Always take my ride here and have no complains regarding the work these people do on my car.

I came here on a whim needing an oil change. Jiffy lube changes me $90 for an oil change. Meineke charged me $60. That alone makes me happy. Also, I had a coolant leak but I didnt know where it was coming from. I asked them to find it and they did. They also offered to fix it but Im not from the Sacramento area. So I didnt have them fix it but at least I knew and when I got back to SF, I had it fixed. Very polite staff and good price.

The tech didn’t even know 100 % if my diagnose was accurate. After $80 for a diagnose, I went to auto zone grab all my parts for $52. Then found a mechanic for $500. To fix my problem. After they had told me it would be a 3,500 fix. Talking to a couple other mechanics, they had told me that they were ripping me off and that I can even do the job myself. Be care people! Do your research! I know business might be slow but don’t take advantage off people! Do the right thing !

The scheduling process totally a fail. I recieved an appointment for 8:00a. On line & when I arrived at 8:00 for my appointment... They werent even open for business till 9am according to the schedule on the door. Then I was late for work and proceeded as a walk in after waiting for another customer with the same issue I had with scheduling.
