First time here and I absolutely love it! They have a nice variety of breads and goodies. It was very clean inside. I ordered a Zebra Oolong Milk Tea, Hawaiian Chicken Bread pastry, and a Hokkaido egg tart. Each item was delicious. The prices werent too bad either. I can definitely see myself coming here time and time again. I give it 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 emojis.
Clean and bright inside. What a wonderful coffee and bakery shop to stop in or stay away.I saw maybe a handful of sweet options for gluten free. I would say seeing more options available for food sensitivity would be amazing. No Chai tea lattes either. But honestly they have plenty of other choices available.
Amazing good and drinks. I got the Taro cake thing and a Thai tea boba. Both amazing and wonderful service. I was with my friend and she had gotten a tapioca cake and the rose flavored boba. I had a taste of both and they were also wonderful. I definitely recommend for a sweet treat, but they also have lots of savory options. It was the first time I have been there, and for sure not the last. 😍😍
This place is pretty cool. Has a lot bread and pastry items. Also has some coffee, smoothie, milk tea, and regular tea options. I got a mocha with light ice and extra chocolate. It turned out really good. I have had their bread before and it was good too. Would suggest and will be back again when Im in the Sacramento area.
Really good bakery with lots of varieties to choose from. They have a few savory items as well including a vegetarian / vegan Impossible bun. I love their pastries given the fact that put right amount of sugar and not making things too sweet which is the case with most typical American desserts.
Nice fresh bakery products here. They have a large variety of bakery items so you can select what you feel like eating today.A simple loaf of bread or get one stuffed with meat or other fillings. They also have the regular muffins and white toasts.Arrive and grab a tray and a tong. Do not use your hands to grab the bakery items otherwise they may scold you. After you are done picking, bring it to the counter for payment and then enjoy.
Love this bakery. Our favorites are the milk tea bun and chocolate roll. Ordered several cakes from them and always beautiful out together and delicious. Wish they would open one up closer to me.
Great self service bakery/drink shop. Fresh pastries are made constantly throughout the day. Gets crowded at times, dont be in a hurry because the checkout lane is slow due to the fact that they individually wrap each piece of item. Carry out or dine it style cafe.Located in front of SF Market shopping center with plenty of parking and easy to see from the main road.
Walked in to just get a water and mans offered me a medium or large. I am touched first time I’ve ever been treated with such kindness. Didn’t get the guys name but 10/10 give his man a raise and a promotion
Very nice selections of breads, baked goods, cakes and individual desserts. Included with my purchase was their strawberry shortcake. Love that their desserts are not sweet and loaded with sugar.
Bought 1 milk tea bottle and 1 coffee bottle and tried it, and what do you know, BOTH OF THEM DONT HAVE SUGAR ARE U SERIOUS WHAT KINDA PLACE FORGETS THE SUGAR SO PATHETIC
We were finally able to come to this Cafe on a weekday before the crowd. The place is designed well. One would easily know to grab a tray and tongs and choose and take their baked goods of choice. The items we got were really delicious and the drinks were too.The staff here are awesome, willing to answer anyones questions at any time.
Variety of pastries with decent prices! I love their rose tea drink, it is so unfortunate that rose tea drinks arent more widely available in this area. The seating in the lobby is comfortable, even the outside patio seating allows for one to sit there and take their time to enjoy their food and drink. Unfortunately no restrooms onsite
Very nice and organized bakery. Lots of yummy treats to choose from. The staff are super nice.
Great selection of sweet treats. Friendly staff and fast service; extremely popular with a lot of customers.
Love, love, love this bakery! Sweet or savory you wont be disappointed! Plus the service is awesome and the prices very reasonable. Also a great place to grab road trip quick bites!
Its changed a bit since Covid started. But it still a great location and easy access.
Very different bread shop that delivers on there goods, nice chill place, also try Cool Tea Bar in same strip mall
The cakes were alright, but the breads and buns are the main star here. Extremely fluffy, buttery, and glutinous texture. The cakes are too light for me, but I would give the breads alone a 5 star rating since theyre the best Ive had from any bakery.
Always love the sweet breads. The drinks are great too. Fast service. So bad for me, but so good.
Delicious breads, deserts, cakes and sweets. Ive been here twice for things like Spinache danish, chicken pot bread, matcha bread etc, and all has been great! Will definitely keep returning whenever I am around the area
Fresh bread and its so good. My favorite place if Im in the mood for some delicious carbs. Also a decent place to get a milk tea drink. Selection is limited recently because of the pandemic. Limit 10 in store at a time so a line can form outside. Remember to wear a mask! 😷
The baked goods tasted great! This place would have recieved 4 stars but it was filthy. I probably would not have bought anything but it was too late when i noticed. Trash was overflowing to the floor and kicked around by people just walking. Also, they ran out of trays and were scrambling to get more out. They brought out wet trays that we had to dry ourselves. I visited the one in Berkeley which was way better. I assumed it would be kept up with. The food was good but you have ti wonder how clean the kitchen is if Terry cant even clean the public area.
Finally, this awesome bakery is in Sacramento. I have been to the ones in Bay area and Southern California many times. Cant go wrong with any pastry and cake here. I am so excited to see they opened one here in Sacramento. I have been here twice already and they just opened this morning as a soft grand opening so they can train their local staff.
My kids love a specific chocolate bun from here. Pretty good! Garlic bread and a few of their other bakery is good.
My go to place for cakes for any small birthday party.
Cheap staff! I got a latte and it tastes like milky tea.
Black Forest cake is still very good on third BF cake purchases even $4 higher than that of Ranch 99 supermarket that maybe a smaller size cake with the same name.
They have great coffee. Not too expensive and its really good coffee...
I love the 85 coffee. Great blend every single time.
Fresh baked bread and goods. Clean environment. Pastries, breads and other desserts all done really well and very fresh. Cheese garlic bread and cheese dog were really good.
Fresh pastries and buns as well as beautiful cakes and desserts. Plus a good selection of milk tea.
Excellent service and the products being showcased are other worldly! Delicious. Best chocolate croissants ever!
I lived in Sacramento for 49yrs and never heard of 85° bakery! I moved to Louisiana 2 1/2 yrs ago and just came back for a visit ! My sister took me here and I fell in love with the White Chocolate bread! Awesome!
Good little bakery with a wide variety of choices. The coffee is really good
All the pastries and drinks are the best! My favorite bakery ♡
Great baked goods, bot over sweet but light and fluffy. Reasonable prices, great quality!Lots of cool variations on traditional breads and danishes as well as delicious custard buns. Salted coffee is absolutely amazing, perfect foam and great taste. Service is friendly and fast, shop is immaculately clean!
My daughter loves the breads here especially the mangos.
Love there tiger Boba tea.and pastries..
I stopped by today to order a birthday cake. The cashier lady was very rude and seemed like she didnt care for my request. I asked if I can get the cake on a specific day and she said she is not sure since they dont make the cake themselves. Her attitude was beyond horrible and she doesnt care about the customers. I have been to other locations for this bakery but none of them were this bad. This is the only one that has this kind of service!
Best bakery around! Wish we had one in our town. Will be back anytime I visit Sac! Thanks 85C!!
Nice clean bakery in a strip mall. I didnt even know this place existed in Sacramento. There is another 85c in Pasadena that I frequented. The pastries are displayed nicely and you can eat them on site at the bakery. Some of the items were a bit pricey like chocolate truffle cake. Its best to stick with the more Asian inspired pastries for good price and value.
The best boba milk tea and Japanese pastries around!
Delicious. Expensive compared to similar stores like Wheat Harvest in San Fran, but just as good and they make great drinks!
Absolutely love their pastry especially the coffee one. Its a must have every time we go there.
One of my favorite places! Always friendly people working and always clean inside.
Im familiar with 85°C Bakery because of their Bay Area locations. This review is just for the baked goods, as Ive never cared to try their drinks. Ive enjoyed most of the bakery items Ive tried. I love taro, so their taro pastry is my favorite item here. They were restocking a couple of their baked good items, bringing out fresh trays while I was there, but it does seem like they have less of a selection than other 85° locations. The location is the typical set up of every 85° - get your tray & tongs, grab the items that appeal to you, and then go check out. The cashier was friendly and service was pretty quick despite there being a decently sized line formed. Id recommend trying a few of bakery items here if youve never been to a 85° before.
I dont think Ive tried anything from these guys that I havent loved! Excellent stuff.
So tasty! A must! Great variety and yummy drinks :)
Pros: I would give this place a 3.5 star. Im impressed with the variety of pastries and desserts they have available. You get a tray and pick up which ever bread you want. The packaging is quite cute and fancy. They have sweet to savory breads. The smoothie was good.Cons:First time trying this place out. I tried the chocolate mousse cake and its mediocre. The bread inside the cake makes it somewhat dry. Looks better than it tasted.
Be careful because you will fall in love and be addicted to the pastries!!
Theyre being great about social distancing, wearing masks, and everything! There are separate doors for exiting and entering. The pastries are all individually wrapped. Tongs and trays are still grabbed by customers, but you cant put them back if you touched them. You return them once you purchase your pastries.
This place is really good in my opinion. The cakes, breads, and other delicious desert items are scrumptious. I ordered a Mango Coconut Pearl drink. And wow was it delicious. Id recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something different for a change !
Today was my first time eating here, and I cannot wait to return! Its clean, and has a modern feel to it, with comfortable seating. The food is not only beautifully presented, but taste great too. This is a nice place to go on a girls outing, or even a work gathering as I did today. Great ambiance, great prices, great food.
Girl with the blue hair was really nice (:
Good pastries but a bit over priced. Would recommend their egg tart and seasalt coffee~
Very respectful workers, great service!
It is a busy place so make sure you arrive with time to spare and patience. It definitely has a great variety of goods in the bakery section. The drinks are also great. One thing that I do find impressive is the packaging of the sold product. They do go out of their way to make sure the presentation looks clean. FYI go during the evening or night its less busy.
Great selection of deserts and other custom items. Cost is reasonable and great seating if you wish to eat on site. All items I tried were good tasting.
Good bread. Same quailty as the one in the bay area in san jose/milpitas
So many options...impossible to only pick one. The milk coffee pastry is really good and the many styles of pastry from around the world make it really interesting. Value is great too.
So happy theyre open during the shutdown! I love getting their Japanese brioche and I recently discovered their garlic bread: so tasty!
My family and I love the bread here it 😋. My favorite one is the coconut strudel.
The food and selection is awesome. Beyond awesome. To MGMT: why would you let the bathrooms look that way? Employees wash their hands... and then use the bacteria ridden door handle to get out. Why would you not clean the stains in the toilet when it would take five minutes with pumice? I was enthralled with your selections and then I used the bathroom and ordered with a LOT less enthusiasm than before I used the bathroom. This is a management issue. Your employees were great. You tell your employees they must wash their hands, air dry them, and then pick up all the bacteria on the handle from every pig that didnt wash their hands before the employee. Ill take a picture for you next time.
I usually really enjoy the food here. I mainly go for the assorted meat buns etc so it was sad that when I went today during lunch time when it was surprisingly slow, that the meat buns etc, all but bacon was gone and would take 2hrs for the next batch. They need better planning of their quantities of certain items.
Solid spot for Asian breads and pastries. The 85C egg tart is similar to a pastel de nata, very buttery, and among my favorite egg tarts anywhere. The pineapple buns here (called boroh danish) are richer than normal (hence, danish), and the version with milk butter (nai su) is extra indulgent. Everything here is a hair sweeter than I would like. Prices are reasonable ($2-3 for most pastries/breads), though higher than most Asian bakeries.
Good Taiwanese style bakery and drinks. Theres a range of breads and pastries that have something for everyone. Their downfall is in service, oftentimes that Ive been here there is something that makes the trip here more difficult than it needs to be. Staff can be unengaged. Ive been here and had to wait on trays or there may only be one person at the cashier with a line of customers 12 deep. Its never been a place where I can get something quickly. Still good bakeries.
One of my top spots for delicious cafe food. Came in on a Weds. Definitely worth going back to. The prices are fair for the quality of food. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I liked.
If you love pastries, cakes, breads ..... you know what I mean, right? Then, you HAVE TO get some of their products and like me, will be a customer! From cakes to tarts, breads, pies, smoothies, etc., this gem of a bakery is located in an otherwise nondescript area.On our first visit, my friends had these bubble drinks while I, opted for my favorite drink 😉, black coffee. My friend, who was a local, intended for us to taste the goodies and so we left with different kinds of baked goods.Tasted one, then another....and suffice to say, I was hooked and already making plans of making a pit stop for takeout prior to leaving CA. (Which I did! Had a big box to bring back home.)The store also offers customers dining there.Love their Taro goodies and the one with the raisin/cream filling.Hoping they expand to where I live!
