This coffee shop belongs in some kind of novel. Not only do they have good coffee and a few lunch options (the Vegan Chili I tried was very good), but the interior is well decorated. The entry part is small and mostly for picking up your coffee or food or whatever, but there is a back room where I could imagine spending a while having coffee with a friend. It is done in wood, kind of a rustic style, and very comfortable and friendly.I usually drink black coffee - which theirs is good, but they also have a Mexican Mocha that is nice and spiced, so its worth trying if you want something different.The staff that I have encountered has all been friendly and professional.

Found this place randomly while looking for an off-site place to get some work done. The atmosphere is perfect for that! Very much like sitting at home complete with rocking chairs and all. The coffee is great. I havent tried any food items yet but it all looks good. Staff is very friendly too

Delightful hideaway! Attended murder mystery dinner theater at this location, it was small and intimate. Perfect for this type of entertainment.

The staff are always extremely nice and get my drinks out fast. There is also a sitting area in the back that has a fireplace. Very cozy and great for conversation.

I walked in and instantly felt cosy. The decorations and overall feel is home, warm and clean. There is a nice selection of pastries, which I love! They took my order at lightning speed, the staff seem proficient and friendly. The drinks are a very good price. I will absolutely be returning here!

I found this place because I was looking for a coffee shop which wasnt Starbucks near the train station. When walking a few blocks toward the city (DOCO), I saw this place but wanted to explore a little bit more before making a decision.I approached the shopping mall and a lady was distributing business cards with a free coffee from roots. I decided to give it a try.OMG you have to try the cookie brownie from Roots Coffee. It is a combination between a brownie and a cookie a little heavy (I wish I had split the cookie in half and share it or save the rest for later) but it was so addictive that I ate the whole thing.Tip: ask for the cookie to be warmed up a little its even more enjoyable with the chocolate melted.

Walked in to get a coffee and scone. I stood in line in front of their pastry case waiting for my turn to order. My turn came and the girl that was taking the previous customers order went on to do something else. Kind of thought that was rude. I stood there waiting for the other girl to finish at the cash register thinking she would come over to the pastry case to take my order. She stood there looking at me and finally said, can I help you. Really! I said, I will take my business elsewhere!

Great location across from the capitol, clean, comfortable, thorough mediocre to bad in-house-made food. Pastries from Freeport Bakery are delicious. The staff speaks too quietly and sometimes they seem lost.

Went today because web site said they had good vegetarian chilli. We arrived at 1:15 and they had only clam chowder and no vegetarian soup options (Said they had various types earlier, but they had sold out all their vegetarian soups, apparently in just 2 hours, but theyre open till 5)🤔. The vegetarian sandwich in the display case looked old, it was on an English muffin. I ordered chia tea that came in a tea bag, and the wrap I ordered they left just sitting on the counter. We were sitting in the next room (which is very nice and cozy) and they never bother to bring it to me. Had I not gone to get cream and sugar for my tea, the wrap I guess would still be sitting there. We will not be going back or recommending our friends to go. If I could give it no stars I would.

Been here a few times for coffee, chai lattes and biscotti. Each visit I encountered a warm, friendly welcome from their baristas, quick service and excellent food and beverages. Great view of the Capitol from inside too.
