We go here quite frequently. For both groceries and the hot and cold bars. My family loves eating here! There are so many foods offered in the grocery store that meet the standards I want for my family. I am so grateful for this store!

I love Earth Fare. We mainly go there for meat. But I recommend not buying meat if you see the woman behind the counter. Not only is she always seemingly in a bad mood, but every time she has packaged my meat for me it goes bad within a day. I’ve never had this problem with anyone else before. It’s been a huge bummer and has put us out way too much money so we’ve stopped trying. Management knows this is a issue. Otherwise, amazing quality meat at a great price.

Great store for organic, healthy, and small brand items; one stop shop for all of those needs. Also, Hot Bar was delicious. For the area, definitely a must if you are looking for specialty products. If you are familiar with Sprouts, it will feel similar. Not for the budget conscious shopper though, but you will not feel you are getting gouged either.

Pretty nice place to shop store seems clean but be careful when you go in the parking lot is not set up very well traffic comes in and out in front of the store at an awkward angle at the same time people are coming in and out of the store, other than that pretty nice people work in there

I come here twice a week commuting from Cburg. Granted, we are getting an Earth Fare soon - this place will always be my go to and home store. As a Vegan, I love the purity of their products - as well as the Hott bar and smoothie bar ✌ dont forget about the wonderful Wednesday night sushi too 🍣

Everything is verry expensive and some sugar free stuff still has cane sugar...

I love this place!! I have been a #1 Customer of theirs since the first time they opened. The employees here are ALWAYS very kind and helpful. They are always very Intuitive to my needs. From the multiple greating through out the store, to asking if i need help?, or asking if i found everything ok? at the register. The store is very clean,well stocked and neat. They also have a wonderful selection of fresh Produce and they have many great options of natural and alternative products. They also have a Delicious Lobster bisque soup that is to die for!!! I especially like the fact that they require masks and wear masks and take the proper precautions like having sanitary wipes available. I feel safe to bring my children here and shop with ease. I will definitely continue to shop here weekly and I give this place high recommendations. keep up the good work guys!!

I asked a worker “Alexis” or “Lexi” whatever her name was a question and she was extremely rude and she rolled her eyes at me. Disgusting behavior and she’ll never go anywhere in life if you can’t work a simple job like Earth Fare.

Grass fed beef is excellent. Food bar looks good, havent tried it, but is fresh and well-maintained. Best food store in Roanoke for my part!

The entire Earth Fare franchise can say good-bye to the tens-of-thousands of dollars that myself and company spend on groceries, food-products, and items each year, because of how I witnessed the manager on duty treat a person tonight... simply to serve her own ego! There was NO ONE in the store, other than two or three people, and I remember not long ago when this specific location was bankrupting and BEGGING PEOPLE to shop here... and now they feel that the customer isnt important enough to treat them as the people supplying the revenue that pay their bills?! WHEN this location doesnt make it in this market itll have been well earned and WELL DESERVED!A message to Earth Fare corporate - teach your employees how to talk to people and treat the ones that keep your paychecks coming in or die as a company just like all of the others that chose terrible employees to represent their brands before you.You should be truly ashamed!

Hired me, gave me 30+ hours a week, then cut my hours to one shift a week. Cut all the full timers hours, then when I tried to get one of my shifts covered nobody answered the phone, my manager wouldn’t answer her personal phone, and they just stopped scheduling me. Good food there for a reasonable price, but the people working there have no management skills whatsoever.

While you will pay top dollar for healthy food it is so worth it!They even have Healthy Pet Food here!Was able to pick up a quick lunch at the food bar and the pizza was delicious and only$4 for two slices!

The store is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and if you’re in search of something that can’t be found at a local grocery store then Earth Fare more than likely has it.

I had a great time here yesterday for the first time and it wont be my last visit the store is nice inside well stock with what you need and the deli area is nice as well

Both times I have gone back after they re-opened the cashiers did not acknowledge me by greeting me or say anything to me unless I prompted discourse. Just simply began scanning.I asked if they still accepted the Earth Fare point card that I was given shortly before they closed. The cashier looked at me like I had asked the dumbest question ever and said briskly, No. Insert your card.I get friendlier greetings at Wal-Mart, and that is saying something.The only reason they get 2 stars instead of one is because I called back to ask a question about some produce I had purchased and the produce manager was very friendly.

Great selection of healthy foods with bakery, juice bar, indoor and outdoor eating areas, and pizza. But like most such places youll pay a big premium for healthy eating.

I am so happy that this grocery store came to Roanoke. I am a vegan although my husband is not and we find everything we need at the store. The food is fresh plus its interesting and delicious. weve been very satisfied with everything. Its great to know that the things were eating here are free of antibiotics and pesticides. its all organic and its not overpriced.

Nice, clean store in a great location. A good alternative to the other stores in the area. Earth Fare has everything you need for a one stop shopping trip. Good produce, great meat, bulk foods and center aisle selections. Their bakery has excellent breads and desserts. Its now a regular part of my shopping rotation.

I LOVE being able to just walk in the door and shop without picking through hundreds of junk items. I can just shop with confidence that Im getting quality ingredients. Better deli and meat section than even Fresh Market. And the prices are lower than Fresh Market too. Im definitely a fan!

Excellent source of organic produce and fruit. Meat is from humanely raised animals. Seafood is responsibly sourced. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially in the butcher department. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for in its truest sense. A bit more expensive than most grocery stores, but not worrying about reading every label is so comforting and worth it! High quality fresh veg and fruits, delicious and copious ready made choices. Top shelf home made breads and sweets, as well as meats, cheeses and seafood. Laid back and lux environment, with always a friendly face to help or serve you.

Great location. Prices on some items are a deal, some are not. My first experience at the store was great, had friendly service too. Im glad they have an Earth Fare store here in Roanoke VA, we needed one. They also have hot food items as well as cold food items such as a salad bar, and a take out menu is also available.

I am so so happy to hear that the store returned. I absolutely LOVE this place. When they were here last time I lost 30 lbs and felt so amazing just from having the amazing products readily available. Still a little pricey in some departments but I will never complain again about this store being too small. Please never ever leave me again!

A wonderful selection of hard to find items among the usual fare. The vegetable and meat selections are extremely fresh and copious. Prepared foods are good, but could be better maintained for the price. Soups, on the other hand, are delicious. The craft beer selection is impressive for a grocery store and even offers singles for purchase. Staff is always courteous and goes above and beyond to help customers. My only wish, like others, would be for lower prices. I understand that items will always cost more when sourced from natural, ethical producers, but wow. Its hard to spend under $50 for a small grocery visit.

A great selection of healthy and organic foods. The prices can be a bit steep but well worth it. They have a place where you can grind your choice of coffee beans and they also have an excellent deli/bakery section. I highly recommend to folks looking for healthier options when grocery shopping.

Great place! Friendly staff! Healthy food. A lot of great vegan and vegetarian choices. I dont mind paying a little extra money knowing the products are doing my body good. Either pay a little extra for healthy food, or pay the doctors for eating junk. Thats how I look at it.

Their forte : the biggest selection of healthy food and body care in miles around. BUT they do sell products that you can find somewhere else (example, Target), for much cheaper. AND they also do have some not-so-healthy food as well (sugar food, processed food, and non organic tomatoes or apples....part of the dirty dozen), so even there you will need to be a smart customer : read labels, and do your research about healthy eating.

I shopped at Earth Fare during the grand opening weekend. I spoke to three or four employees who were very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the hot food options, the variety of coffee, and the healthy bath and body selection. I think they offer a range of prices, although I didnt find anything I would call cheap, just about the kind of prices you would find at The Fresh Market.

So glad this store is open again. Great selection, great prices.

Friendly staff. You can sample anything, except for alcohol in the store at any time. Scratch made bread in store every day. Some things are pricey, but you can get great deals too. Sign up for the free rewards card and get the app for additional savings. Quietest before 11am and after 8pm.

A burgeoning pattern of bad service at the sandwich counter. Once I was nearly invisible for a full 5 mins to group of workers, another time I was second in line behind a fellow ordering 15 individual custom-made sandwiches, the customer who was leaned over the pre-made food having a long conversation with that employee. There seems to be a lack of communication between them and they could care less about customer experience.

As a former employee, I can say that the store is great and the food is AMAZING, and the prices are not bad. HOWEVER, from an employee perspective, they expect way too much from you and there is little to no leniency. My sister was in the hospital for lung inflation and NOBODY from earth Fare, NOT one single person, showed sympathy or asked how my family was. The only thing a manager told me was “But, we needed you in grocery dept.”

This location is closing at the end of January 2020. Looks like its time to head back to Fresh Market at Towers Mall.

Clean spaces and freshly prepared options keep me coming back. I like the way they make their own sausages and other meat products. Their pizza slices are also delicious and the freshly roasted chicken is economical and succulent.

Love the fact that Earth Fare has great tasting produce neatly organized, along with pantry items. Best tasting meats in town and a deli/bakery that is jaw dropping to shop for prepared items. Love the Take-out selections that are convenient and super healthy. Proces can be higher than most markets around town, but quality stands-outs in Earth Fares products.

Deli is amazing! Good prices on cooked foods. Some of the other items were pricey but that due to them being organic or so. I like the fact that their products are free of many harmful ingredients. I enjoy stopping by here when I can.

Some things can be a bit pricier than Kroger or other local grocery chains but the quality is just outstanding everything overall is decently priced- For it being very much an organic, holistic and natural food selection grocer I would proudly give this store my every penny. They dont gouge you like whole foods or fresh markets do and they live up to their message and expectation!

Abigail is our highlight when we go to Earth Fare, she works the samples station. She remembers us and every time we come in she asks us how we are and is very knowledgeable about the product she is sampling. Good job Earth Fare hiring amazing people! It really makes a difference when we are deciding where to get groceries.

I love but hate the store I’ve been coming here since they first opened and just have noticed a change lately for one they offer cold pressed juice but I call to order it and yet no one can make me a cold pressed juice because there is no one trained to run that machine, that’s comical. Ask to speak to a manager and he has No idea what’s going on and has only been a manager for one week. Get it together earth fare!!

This is my new spot! It is the closest you will get to Trader Joes/Whole Foods in this area. I will definitely go back. Please note, the cashiers are friendly and they take forever to check people out, but hey, at least they are nice to everyone, so it is all good.

I went here after going to Mellow Mushroom for my birthday dinner to try and find a vegan cake (or cake-like thing) after I had checked all the local (Rocky Mount, VA) stores and came up empty. I found a few options a vegan cookie sandwich from the bakery, a Daiya cheesecake (they had 4 flavors strawberry, NY, key lime, and a berry), some tiny little cakes in the refrigerated section along with brownies as well as Rubicon Bakers Blackout Cupcakes and a Vegan Chocolate Blackout Layer Cake, and some cookies. It looked like they usually had more but were out as it was 7 pm on a Tuesday.The reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the produce section, there was almost nothing there except sumo mandarins and some apples. I didnt see enough greenery for a store that has a tomato as its logo. The produce was also very expensive for what it was and the quality seemed so-so.

Good but expensive and Fresh Market up the road or farmers mkt are better. I was looking for fresh basil here to make pesto but the only had potted plants which were tiny and I would have had to buy 5 of them and they were not cheap. Seriously better to go to a farmers market.

Lots of new and interesting foods. Much more selection for the healthier lifestyle cuisine! First time there and impressed. Will be back!

First few visits were rewarding. Items are a bit expensive compared to main stream stores but reasonable for the quality i experienced. Bought some anazingly good sea food and another day bought a pizza which was great. Parking lot laid out nicely which is unusual in my experience in the area. Give this place a shot.

Love this whole earth supermarket. Truly awesome fruits, vegetables, coconut oil corn chips, milk, cheese, sushi and so much more. I suggest that everyone try Earth Fare Supermarket. Its wonderful!

Highly disappointed with their produce. Purchased a $3 carton of strawberries, which are completely in season, and they were not at all ripe. The middle of the berry was white and firm. Their wine selection is the only reason I’ll go back.

Open since November 2017, Earth Fare brought a great product to the Roanoke area. Prepared food is excellent. Nice seafood selection. Meat prices are not bad. Large selection of beers and wine.

Stopped by the meat department yesterday to buy a 4lb brisket flat to smoke for bbq. I unwrap it today to find 2 pieces, 1 approximately 3 lbs the other just shy of 1lb. Will not be returning till they hire educated butchers and teach them how to properly cut beef.

Nice place and plenty of healthy choices. Most of the items are available in other stores for cheaper, although I did find a few deals. I wouldnt do my entire grocery shopping here, but if you need something no one else has, theyll probably have it.

Great selection of everything a grocery store should have and many healthy organic options to chose from. They even have a place to eat items out of the deli and have pizzas ready made or call in to pick up fresh and made to order. They have a large selection of vitamins, beers, wine and cheese.

This place is so awesome it reminds me of my hometown of Los Angeles, where theres a decent health food store pretty much around every block corner. Completely awesome Wellness Department, run by a very affable and knowledgeable Buck. Theres tons of great pre-made food and a really good salad bar. The entire staff is courteous, amicable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this establishment.

Weve so been waiting for this type of grocery to hit Roanoke. THANK YOU grocery store gods. I was unfamiliar with the chain, Id describe it as a smaller version of Whole Foods. The format to my eye is nearly identical. Beautiful bakery, prepared food look yummy. Nice selection of other things. Ive gone vegan in the past and this area has been pretty unsupportive but this store has some of the vegan items I loved and still enjoy (although Ive broadened my eating). My biggest disappointment in this area has been the produce, just not as fresh as I was used to in CA. This store has very fresh, wonderful looking produce. Im a fan already.

My first visit was earlier today. I was referred by my doctor to get a supplement, specifically in liquid form,& he said the only place in town that has it is Earth Fare. I found the supplement!! And a few other things 😄 I will go back on a less crowded day to explore a little more & try some of their deli food.

Earth Fare has a great selection, especially for the health conscious. They have many items you wont find elsewhere. I love stopping in to see what they have.

Earth Fare has been a welcome addition to the Roanoke grocery market. Shopping here however is a recreational experience, which is great, but if youre not careful you may spend more than you meant.That being said, you can get everything you need here and some of it is a bargain. There 18 inch pizza for 9.99 is a great deal and some of my favorite in the area. Its also one of only 3 pizza places I know of in the area - the other two being Mellow Mushroom (right next door) and New York Pizza (try the Old World) that are vegan or dairy allergy friendly.Join their rewards program. Its free and gets you store credit as well as other goodies. Ive gotten two free roast chickens so far.

So pleasantly surprised that this grocery store came to Roanoke. Its the perfect place to pick up specialty organic items or healthy on-the-go meals.

I really do like the Roanoke store. But sometimes it would be nice if the meat counter people were a bit more knowledgeable. I wanted to buy a larger beef Tenderloin, instead of just saying they dont have any larger than 4lbs. He said they dont come any bigger. Which I know for a fact to be untrue. I always buy a 6-8lb. Beef tenderloin. Just saying.

This store make me so happy! It is beautiful, music is great, options are plentiful and I actually look forward to grocery shopping when I know Im headed to Earth Fare. Thank you for being in Roanoke!
