I worked for this company for about 4 years, and I loved the people that I worked with!I hope the guys in the shop are doing well. When I was let go from DSA, I was in my 2nd year at NC State, and new management took over the administrative office. I noticed a lot of safety and productivity issues in the shop while working in the there. When I approached the office about the problems, they did nothing. I sent them a PDF file, along with multiple images addressing each individual problem. including doors stacked on top of each other that could crush a person with the wrong movement. Material laying on the floor for months. wooden boards with nails protruding from all angles. Miter saws with no guards and nail guns with no safety. Mask were not worn when sanding or ripping material. Hazardous chemicals not labeled, and a missing Safety Data Sheet at hand for all employees.A safety inspector that graduated from NC State (what a bummer...lol) was hired after someone cut his finger on the table saw. He did absolutely nothing to fix any problems. He took the water fountains away, and never put a cleaning station for employees in case of an emergency. I really hope this guy isnt there anymore.the quality of the doors had diminished as soon as new management kicked in, and their whole intent was to push out quantity. They cared less about hiring qualified and skilled carpenters. the reveals around the doors was inconsistent, and many products were sent of defective.I hope the guys stay safe, and inform OSHA if these problems persists. If issues are still present, dont hesitate to call OSHA.....ITS YOUR RIGHT!!!! regardless of your status....Cuidadate mi gente!!!P.S. Just 1 month after addressing these issues with the office I was fired.

This business knowingly hires illegal immigrants for employment. There are many stories that I could name with actual names but there is no need to do that. This company does not abide by the rules when it comes to employment laws. It is a skilled trade here. How can someone be taught a skilled trade if the supervisors do not speak English well enough to form a sentence. 80 % of the workforce here (about 60 employees) speak absolutely NO ENGLISH. How were they able to garner that position anyhow. Lets guess. No need to guess. Volt the staffing agency who contracts with them is three-four months from being under fire through the Department of Labor. If ICE did a raid on this place, it would take away 75% of its workforce and they would be forced to hire Americans and train them. Democrat here. Calling a spade a spade.

Helen is the reason for writing this review. I took my customers to the showroom and she created such a welcoming enviorment. Words to describe her are simply professional and just plain awesome!

Please look elsewhere for your exterior doors. This company was the most difficult company I have ever worked with. I do construction for a living and I used them for exterior doors on my personal house. Solid Mahogany doors. They sent the wrong door out and it took me over 6months to get the correct one. I had to stay on them constantly. There was no remorse on DSA’s part, no willingness to share in the added expense that it cost me. I couldn’t let DSA sending the wrong door out hold me from moving forward with the house. I had to pay to have the wrong one installed and then pay to have the wrong one removed and then the right door installed. I had to pay the siding guys to come back and tie in and the painters a trip charge to finish. I’m out of pocket just over 600.00 because of DSA and it taking 6 months to get the correct door. I have a complete email trial of all conversations from the very beginning when I tried to advise that they made a mistake on the quote and have the wrong door noted. They corrected on the quote and still sent the wrong door out. I had to stay on DSA constantly and for months to get this resolved. I have never experienced anything like this in all my years of construction

Under new management. Building a positive, responsible, and fair working environment takes time. However, this company is on the verge of Greatness! The Sr. HR Manager is a pleasure to work with.

Stay away!!! Terrible company to deal with. The first door I ordered was made wrong and was sticking at the bottom and had to be replaced. That process took months only for them to send the replacement in the wrong color. Once that got corrected, the replacement door started splitting after a year and had to be replaced AGAIN. They promised to cover 50% of the installation cost, which I had to pay out of pocket and now 3 months later I still cannot get my refund, because they are claiming they don’t issue checks!!! I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with multiple people at this company and they were equally unhelpful, and ignored my calls and emails on multiple occasions. Lastly, their doors are not made in North Carolina, but instead get shipped from Asia, which is not disclosed anywhere on their website! Save your money and find a different company!
