Overall I’ve had a poor experience at this High Life location. I used to smoke cigarettes and would come in 2-3 times a week. I was there enough that I got to know the employees. One day I forgot my ID and was denied service even though I have a photo on my phone that scans. In my opinion, the employees should be empowered to use common sense, but no. Other negatives include the poor selection of vapes and their high prices.

My husband and i came into the shop looking for a specific product, and the two guys working were so knowledgeable and helpful (sorry that we didnt get their names!) They spent time talking with us and explaining the pros and cons of different products so we could get the best option. We also got some really great incense! Thanks for the great service and good vibes!

Got what I needed and good prices

I went into High Life yesterday in search of a new water piece and wow, all I have to say are great things. Because I’d always been a frequent customer at the chapel hill store, I decided to give this location a try. My partner and I were immediately greeted and assisted upon entering. I was being very picky and had many demands but the bearded gentlemen helping us was patient the entire time and made many helpful suggestions. Ultimately with the help of another employee, we created the perfect piece for me and our host even took the time to make sure everything matched (aesthetically). Everyone was sweet and attentive and I’m very happy with what I walked away with. My partner was also able to stock up on backwoods and filters. I will definitely be making the 25min drive from Durham to this location next time I need to make a trip to the smoke shop. Give them a stop by if you’re in the area.

I checked out High Life for the first time yesterday because I’ve heard so many good things about it. I planned to just look around for a few minutes, but I was surprised by how truly friendly and professional the store and staff was. I was immediately greeted by Connor, who talked with me and helped me through my whole visit. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything the store had to offer and made me feel really comfortable during my visit. Very impressed, will return soon!

Best staff ever! I have been doing business with them for a very long time. One example is my dog having cancer and they were very knowledgeable at the products they had to offer. The prices were very reasonable. After returning after a few times I began to recognize everyone by name and even the new employees recognized me with a warm welcome. Keith the manager and the total staff are the best of any place I have ever been. The whole staff deserves a 5 stars ✨ review.🤟🏾👏

Our first trip here and we already fell in love. Everyone is so open and friendly. Connor took the time to show us different products and we ended up getting more than we expected. This is a great shop for anyone wanting unique items. We will definitely be going back.

Jeff & Brandon were SO helpful! I went into the store not really knowing what I wanted, but they made me feel so at ease with all of their knowledge! They pulled out so many different things for me without any hesitation! I will definitely be back for any and all smoke shop needs!!

Amazing shop! There’s so much cool stuff in there and a whole wall full of different types of incense. Connor helped me out with wonderful customer service, although the entire staff is friendly and helpful. However, be careful parking in the behind lot because the towing company, Unlimited Recovery, who owns the parking lot is very predatory. They wait for you to walk into any of the other stores on the street and then boot your car immediately. However, 10/10 still recommend the shop.

My friend told me about the shop and I decided to check it out. I was extremely impressed by the amount of staff who were willing to help me throughout my visit. Connor helped me & he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the products and helped me choose what was best for me.

Simply I come here for the off brand Juul Pods. I call ahead and ask about their stock. The staff is great and helpful. There is pay to park around back which is your best option if coming by vehicle. The prices are great!

I had a friend recommend High Life to me and when I went in to have a look for myself I was immediately greeted Connor, a member of the staff. Connor was very helpful and assisted me when I had questions about products and explained everything really well. When I need anything I definitely know where I’ll go and will make sure to recommend the store to others.

Definitely a dope shop especially if you can never decide on glass. Keith, Christol, Jeff and Conner all help me finally whittle it down to one lovey piece I use everyday. Overall super happy I made the short trip will be going back.

I just want to say that the entire staff (Connor Kory Jeff Christol Brandon and Keith) are very knowledgeable and extremely professional. Connors attentiveness and his recommendations have really helped me. The environment at Highlife is very laid back and relaxing as well. I recommend giving them a visit if you havent already.

Uses a highly unethical towing company to manage their parking lot (Unlimited Recovery). I would suggest BOYCOTTING this business until they use a different company.That tow company literally hides in the bushes and boots you if you walk off the exact property for even a second (say you go to Chipotle to pick up your mobile order and then get a vape from the smoke shop) and they will rudely remind you that they are legally allowed to do so. I spoke with the police about this and they said they have done everything legally they can against this company and that I should contact the state Attorney General to ask him to initiate a class action lawsuit!

You go and buy something and then they fine you for parking. That’s a great business model. I would never go there and you should not either.

Before I get into my complaint I just want to say, in general, the shop off of Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC will not last long.So I purchased an expensive water pipe from them and approximately 2 weeks after I bought it the downstem broke. I understand that pieces break so I went into this shop and attempted to buy a stem of the right size so that I could replace it. Unfortunately, I didnt the buy the right size initially. Then I was told by the manager Megan (sp.) that I could not have an exchange. Even though the stem was the wrong size and never had been used (obviously).Considering the big purchase and just human decency, I thought more would have been done. The manager insisted that I should have known the right size and when I explained that the original was shattered and could not have been measured, she still insisted that I did something wrong.Overall, the service provided from Megan was unpleasant and I am urging you to formally look into this as I have already put in a formal complaint through your website. I just wanted to post on here so others could read about my experience and choose against using you all.
