I highly recommend Trans Medics in Raleigh. My car suffered clutch hydraulic-system failure during my road-trip from RI to FL. Trans Medics was recommended to me by another mechanic. They squeezed me into their work schedule, knowing that I was stranded in NC until they could get my car back on the road again. Ronnie provided excellent communication throughout the entire towing and repair process, and now the car runs great again. I also noted how clean and organized their shop area looked when I was there (which is something that means a lot to me when I have someone else working on my vehicles). Overall, Trans Medics provided a great experience and resolved what started out as a catastrophe. I would definitely use them again if I ever need professional and courteous auto repair service in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Awesome!Ronnie and his crew were great! Honest, professional and affordable. They did a great job with repairing my transmission, and will be going back for future services! They ran a diagnostic for me after my engine light came back on at no charge(I needed the sensor reset from the first visit), which usually costs over $100 at other shops. Also the coffee offered in the lobby was great 👍, will definitely be going back for future repairs/maintenance!

These guys are honest, up-front and fast!I brought my 94 Ford Explorer here for a transmission diagnostic. They told me it would need a rebuild and charged me nothing.I also brought my 07 Cadillac here to get several things checked in prep for a cross country move. They got back to me within 2 hours of dropping it off, had checked everything on my list and had answers, then recognized a used tire I had recently put on for a flat was old and unsafe. These guys go above and beyond, have competitive prices and are efficient at what they do! Go see them.

I am not a customer, because I dont see a need to pay almost double the price I was quoted from a different highly-rated shop. The only reason for two stars is that they are a member of ATRA, but the price quoted ($4500) could buy several rebuilt transmissions.

I found Transmedics on the web, read the reviews and chose them to replace my transmission in my Transit Connect van. I’m glad I did. Ronnie was great. He understood that I needed fast service for my work van and handled it. I found their pricing to be fair and a lot better than from where I had been towed to. I fully recommend these guysJock

Ronny was great to speak and work with and a down to earth guy. These guys are straight shooters. I was referred to them by another local mechanic. Ron was amazing by always trying to get me the best deal possible as I am a broke college student. He was kind and informative and made me feel very comfortable since I don’t know much about cars. I will continue using them as long as I live in Raleigh! I would recommend them highly for their professionalism and for making me feel like they truly have my best interest at heart.

This is by far THE BEST service center I have ever visited. One company quoted me $6k for maintenance on my car and Ronald went above and beyond to find a reasonable solution, THAT WORKED for a fraction of that price. It feels good to know that a company truly cares about their customers and their needs, ESPECIALLY during an already stressful pandemic situation. I will never bring my car anywhere else other than TransMedics. Their knowledge about cars and stellar customer service is top notch and cant be matched by any other company.

Ron has great customer service skills and David really cares about the companys reputation. They insisted that I take my Jeep for a test drive before I pay for the repairs. When it became clear that the initial repair did not completely resolve the issue, TM went back to work. They found the issue and went to the trouble to remove the new part they had previously installed since it did not resolve the issue and didnt charge me for that part or labor. They quickly found and repaired the issue and my total cost was a lot less than the amount of time and energy they invested. That type of integrity is rare these days. Ill recommend them to others and although I hope I dont need their services again, but if I do, I know Ill get quality service at a fair price.

I was referred to TransMedics by family and this is now my new shop for life. I use to use a chain shop and I deeply regret it. I found out they were doing cheap and shady work on my car that I thankfully discovered before very serious damage was done to my car. My fist time at TransMedics was after a breakdown on the side of the road. I used the key drop caus it was after hours. I was contacted the next morning about the problems everything was explained in detail and all my questions were answered. They are very transparent with cost and break down where your money is being sent. The broken parts were under warranty so they did not charge me for them and took care of the swap out for me. Repairs were done quickly and correctly and pricing is very fair for the work that was done. It was later discovered that there were some more issues with my car. TransMedics did not stop until my car was in working order. They one again took the time to explain the problems how it would be fixed and broke down the cost. Once again the price was very fair for the work required and parts. TransMedics works hard to leave you completly satisfied. The mechanics are very friendly and help you to fully understand whats wrong and what needs to be done in the event your not mechanically inclined. At TransMedics you get treated like family not just a customer. Service like this is very hard to come by these days. I would highly recommend TransMedics for all of your car needs from routine maintenance to repairs.

Disappointed. I was recommended to TransMedic by a guy at Advance and I ended up being pretty disappointed. I came in to have a cooler core replaced and brought in the part myself. They ended up price matching some tires that I was having put on the next day which came to $400. I recently purchased the vehicle so I asked them to do a full vehicle inspection as well. I left the vehicle with them and they said they would contact me that day. Two days later I finally got a call and they told me my bill would be $1100. I thought it was a joke or they had the wrong vehicle. $400 for the tires and install, $250 to install a cooler core on an e-350 and nearly $500 in inspection fees. I told them to put the tires on and do nothing else. After some pushback my bill came to about $630. I immediately brought my vehicle to another mechanic and he told me that half the things they recommended for repair didn’t need to be done. He also charged me less than $80 to install the cooler core (which they quoted me ~$250). Even with the lowered amount that I paid I still felt ripped off. I don’t see how this wasn’t anything but them trying to take advantage of the situation and me. Giving two stars since they did properly install the tires.

The customer service and treatment received by this company has been completely unacceptable. The repairs on our vehicle have been delayed for over two weeks now, explained by a plethora of setbacks and excuses each day. We have wasted time, energy, and money taking Uber rides out to the business (which we live very far from) only to be informed at the last minute that the car is actually not ready and is unavailable for pickup, leaving us stranded and still without transportation (despite clear communication and assurance that we should collect it). We confirmed multiple times with the company that the car was to be left unlocked and with the key hidden inside so that we could pick it up on a weekend day (due to our busy work schedule, and due to our unwillingness to continue to lose money via unnecessary Uber rides), and after borrowing a family vehicle to travel in, we made the significant trip only to find our agreement to have been completely disregarded, the car locked, and the key nowhere to be found. We used our insurance to break into the vehicle in hopes that the key would be inside (perhaps they had just forgotten to leave it unlocked), and were once again left stranded, disappointed, and without our car. I will heavily warn anyone I speak with about this mistreatment and malpractice and sincerely urge them to avoid using this business in the future.

I called to schedule an appoint to have my truck looked at. I showed up 10 minutes early. One of the first things i noticed was a large amount of vehicles there. I immediately thought about Scotty Kilmer, a popular youtube mechanic, warning about places like that because typically those are all cars the shop has not been able to fix. The guy at the counter really didnt even seem to care that i was even there as he talked with another employee and then on the phone. The phone call sounded like it was for personal use and was not work related. I had to wait form him to finish on the phone, at which point he wanted me to drop off the vehicle because all the employees had just left for lunch. To make it worse the last guy there who he was talking to walked out the door at the exact time i was scheduled for an appointment. If I need to drop off the vehicle he should have said so in the first place. It put me at an inconvenience, so I called another place. The other place i called what much clearer on his communication so I will go there instead

AAA sent me to TransMedics to have my Chevy Suburbans transmission rebuilt after a 3rd party told me that my transmission was failing. The problem turned out to be something else that was difficult to repair. I can honestly say that Ive never known another shop to go to so much trouble to make sure that the repair was right and that I was charged fairly. My transmission still slips after 3 weeks and $2000. Ive taken it back twice and theyve done nothing. They wont fix it. A warranty isnt any good if you dont honor it. They play stupid like they dont know how to fix it. Theyve asked me to return my car for a third time but i know its a waste of time. They wont fix it. I wouldnt trust them for an oil change. I dont recall them ever even apologizing. Theyve already been paid so they dont care. They charged my credit card twice and finally refunded it after a huge headache. Theyre also really bad at returning phone calls and their customer service is terrible. The owner David was mad that i gave them a bad review. Theyre either incompetent or theyre con men. They fixed my car and after a day, the car became extremely loud (no actual damage like engine knock normally signifies, they just loosen parts so you hear the obnoxiously loud vibrations). I am very impressed with the professionalism, honesty, and customer service that I received from the extremely knowledgeable staff of TransMedic (TM).Three months of a sick Jeep, and multiple shops later, I ended up at TM and I couldn’t have been more pleased with their service. I am HUGE fan of customer service and they went above and beyond my expectations. My Jeep appeared to have had a lot of things going wrong, and my head was spinning from all the differing opinions I was receiving from other mechanics. TM was patient with my questioning, took the time to explain the process, and quickly identified the main issue.Unfortunately for TM, they ended up having to deal with an engine warranty company, but did so with professionalism and without complaint. I am assuming that most shops do not want to be told by a warranty company how to do their job. However, TM never once made it seem like an inconvenience. They were extremely professional and always one step ahead of me whenever I called to give them the “warranty update”.There was complete transparency and full communication the entire time they had my Jeep, and I never once felt like I was getting the runaround. What a change of pace, let me tell ya! And look at their other reviews, not a single bad comment. This says a lot about a company, when we live in a society where humans never seem to be happy and love to complain ;) .I am originally from Michigan, a state where vehicles are taken very seriously. I’ve been in Raleigh for 9 years now and have just NOW found a shop that lives up to a Michigander’s standards. They will have my repeat business for sure (but hopefully my Jeep gives me a few months off first.)Bravo, TransMedic. Thank you for all your hard work to get my Jeep up and running smoothly.
