Up until 18 months ago this Pro Tire location, ((9229 Capital Blvd. RALEIGH NC 27616)) had been very friendly and professional. Then there had been a change in staff. The new staff will NOT smile. They have been known to address their customers as boss. There seems to be an attitude of I dont care much to be here, nor do I care to know my customers. Not even attempting to greet their customers properly or ask them their name. They have almost grown cold. Not a warm place to do business at! No enthusiasm here. 😒☹

Charged $40 for a tiny tire patch. Discount tire does it for FREE. Took way too damn long. Been there twice both times the service people were rude and try to put you down like you don’t know what you’re talking about. They try to force you into making unnecessary purchases. I’d take my business elsewhere.

I have been going there for little over 2 years now. I call before I come and even some days I pop up they still service my car super quick. The staff is very helpful they are super nice over the phone and in person.the lobby is a relaxing place free WiFi and coffee. Alignments , wheel rotation , break light fixation , oil changes , check engine lights and ordering parts for the car very quickly. I enjoy this mechanic shop. Even during hard times they still manage to keep things smooth.

Ive taken my car to Pro Tire before the new ownership and most recently as my car needed a new starter. I called and got a quote over the phone, I set an appt to have a new starter put in my car, they did a great job! I ended up paying less than what was quoted. The service was good over the phone and at the shop! Also glad that the new ownership remodeled the shop...the waiting area is very nice and clean plenty of room to sit.

Courteous staff and a great lobby environment, which was nice because I needed a patch and its a longer job. Would def. recommend this business and use again

I had a blowout on my trailer tonight and it was after hours. There was a gentleman still there and he help me change my tire. I offered to pay him but he refused to take it. There are still good people in this world. I will be taking my business there from now on.

Quick, high quality service and great prices

My first visit today. I went in with a flat tire thinking I had taken a nail and was looking for a plug. They said they could get it in within about 30 minutes. 5 min later they rolled it into a bay (way to under promise and over deliver!) and 15 minutes later it was out front waiting for me. They said it was a not a puncture but rather the seal on the tire had gone bad. I asked how much and they said Nothing, just come back when you need a new set of tires. You can count on it! Great service, way to put the customer first, not with words but action! Keep up the great work!

The new owners here are amazing. The place is clean and the staff is kind. They were all incredibly helpful and honest. This will now be my go-to place and who I will recommend other to go to.

Great place! Had a blow out on 540 right before the storm was coming in. Needed a fast replacement the next day because I was not gonna drive with a spare tire on those icy road conditions. Pro Tires had my tires ready to install and most importantly, technicians that arrived to work. Understandably everywhere else didn’t have technicians that made it in due to the road conditions. I appreciate you guys for working with me on such short notice! Thanks Guys!

These guys are the best. Period. There is no debate.I was once quoted over $600 at Atlantic for a starter job. Pro tire let me bring in a cheaper alternator I got at a parts shop and installed it for just the price of labor. They have saved me money on numerous occasions.I broke down an hour ago. Could be a dead battery, could be an alternator. Could be both. They called me to make sure it was ok to put a new battery in it so they could test the alternator when any other shop would have replaced both, taken my money, and never said a word.Instead these guys are honest and do the right thing, because they know little things like this will retain my patronage.I can’t say enough good things about this place. Don’t go anywhere else!

The new owners definitely fixed this place up. I used to sit outside when I got services done bc the place was so run down and dusty. But now I can sit comfortably in the air condition with my feet kicked up watching a flat screen TV.

I will definitely be returning here for an oil change and possibly more work. They were very pleasant which is always a plus, customer service matters! They Adi informed me of all things that were already going on with my car for example my check engine light was on and they informed me of that and asked for permission to proceed. It took about an hour, I had an appointment so Id definitely recommend setting an appointment. They definitely have a continuous costumer in me.

My family has been dealing with this company since my grandfather was buying tires there before I was born in the 70s and Im not sure when this place was open but my guess would be probably from the late 60s early 70s so personally I will always deal with these guys

HORRIBLE results! Went for an oil change. Entering my car after oil change...there was blood all over my door. Turned on the car & my steering wheel would not turn. Halfway home oil light comes on. I called the office & they advised they only put half the amount of oil in my car that is required. They advised to come back one day & they will top it off. ( which was 30 min away) Went back the later that week & left the shop w MULTIPLE issues going on w my car. That had NEVER arrived until they touched it.. STAY CLEAR!!!! DON’T WAIST YOUR MONEY!!!

We love the guys at Pro Tire...the job is always done right - at a reasonable price - with everything well explained...theyve even fixed minor issues at no charge on several occasions...This is a just a caution - not a complaint...but its better if you can drop off/pick up your vehicle...they are so good (ergo so busy) and so wanting to help everyone that it occasionally takes a little to get oil changes and the like done...if thats an issue - go to Jiffy Lube and pay $40 more...

Showed up with flat tire near closing time. It was not fixable (sidewall puncture). They did not have the exact replacement in stock that I wanted but owner drove to pick one up. Everyone stayed after closing time to replace my tire. I highly recommend.

Most helpful in a situation where I got myself in a bind from a popular named auto service - Walmart auto service. I asked them to replace a bubble tire with my spare, of smaller size. This single tire on one side of my vans front-end... but mentioned to me nothing about how damaging this would be to my transmission and parts .Pro Tire ... just down the road suggested I remove it from the front at least, to save the cost several expensive consequences.To top it all off, he was so helpful after giving me answers to my questions, he remounted (swapped) my front and back tires for free.....ps this little affidavit of my sincerity isnt enough to pay then for their services, but will be something to help me remember, to pay-it forward.

We had two tires to replace, one of mine got a cut on the side . However Waynes son could not place two of the rims on other locations because Wayne said that some parts were missing on the rims. My wife is the one who took the vehicle there. When she was ready to leave the rear tire was missing the insert/the cap. The other mechanic named Sergio was fantastic and fixed the tires properly. The spare tire that was placed under the rear was loose when my wife was ready to leave and Wayne tightened it up. We have been going here for almost 25 years and the prices and labor have always been great. You have to be careful when hiring family.

I got a flat and had my explorer towed to blue flame. Before even speaking to me, they put a used tire on my vehicle. I was surprised when theysaid they were done because no one had even asked me what I wanted. Anyways, turns out they put a diffrrent size tire than the other 3, and the tire they put on already had 2 plugs.....Wow! Not going back.

Quick and no charge for a check up

I had 4 tires installed on my car this week. The car was put on the rack right away, but I still had to wait an hour in a smokey waiting room. Listening to somebody who worked there complain about her husband...The guy behind the counter was nice, did good work letting me know things were going, and even cracked the whip when he realized how long I had been waiting..But. That wasnt the worst part.I got the car back, and decided to check.1) All wheel nuts were over-torqued Speck is 85 pounds, they were torqued to 135-150. No torque wrench was used by Pro Tire. This could damage the lugs, wheels or brake disks.2) ALL tires were under-inflated by 15 PSI. Spec is 35 psi , all tires were 20 psi3) All valve stem caps were not replaced4) two valve stems (with TPMS) were damagedFor a process that took far longer than was needed, it was done sloppily and without paying attention to the job.I had to unmount all 4 wheels, re-inflate all 4 tires and check the threads on all lugs and all valve stems.I wont be back, even for the free tire rotation.
