I went out of my way to find a reliable place, because its worth driving a little further for a trustworthy mechanic. I found it.Ive been exclusively getting service here for a couple years, and they have always been reliable, done good work, and answered all my questions. Ill ask questions with nothing to do with my repair and they give honest answers. Their advice has also saved me a lot of money on service. They dont do unnecessary work and they explain your options clearly and openly.

I prayed (SERIOUSLY) for an Honest, Respectful, Professional, and Reliable Car Doctor post my last horror-story mechanic: Thomas (and his Team) were the answer to that prayer! He has been the ONLY mechanic trusted with my car for 2 years.Its no secret that women (more than men) get taken advantage of by too many mechanics. Very fair repair costs compared to FOUR other repair shops I called in Raleigh within 20 miles, for my Avalon, I had to have cylinder coil #2 replaced, all of the other 4 shops quoted me in excess of $85 - $128 OVER HIS COST FOR SAME PART, and 2 were charging over and were not even offering an OEM part!! Thomas gave such a fair price for the cylinder coil, AND HIS PARTS WERE OEM!! His team is prompt, affordable, and Ive never had an issue after leaving. Very happy I found a good Toyota mechanic, that is honest, and values their customers. Thank you again for being honest and fair.

Like many, I am skeptical of online reviews. Are they real? Are they friends of the shop, etc. I saw Capital Autos ratings and couldnt believe it. I called, got a fair price quote and thought, well, lets give it a go.The job was done when Thomas said it would be done. It was done at the price he quoted and he even performed a service as a courtesy because it was the kind/right/above and beyond thing to do.Do not be turned off by the location. Its tucked away off a small road that has clearly been traveled by many heavy industrial vehicles. The building is relatively nondescript and the sign for the shop itself is modest. But inside you will find your mechanic for life. I know I have.

I live in Hillsborough but was in Raleigh to purchase a car. I took the car here for a pre-purchase inspection and was amazed at the detail of the inspection. The owner even brought me back to look at the car and show me exactly what he was concerned about. Then, he took us in the office and coached us on how to deal with the dealer. It was phenomenal and was instrumental in helping us responsibly choose a used car. If I lived in Raleigh, this would be my shop no doubt!!!

Ive used Capital Auto Repair several times and have always been satisfied with their work, and customer service. I recently brought my car her for repairs, and was informed it was fix. I picked it up, and the check engine light came back on before i got home. I returned the car after hours, and Tomas called me the next morning before I could call them asking very concern of what is the problem. Found out it was a defective part that was installed, and would be replaced same day at no extra cost. He stood by his word and car was fixed, and have been driving it since without any additional problems. I am very satisfied with their work and knowledge. I highly recommend them. Thanks Tomas.

Jay and Tomas at Capital Auto are great. They have serviced and repaired all my cars since 2009, and have done pre-purchase inspections before we spent money at the dealership. They have never tried to up sell me and have always been straight forward, and we refer family and friends to them with any auto repair or service need. Turn around is very quick along with great communication. Five Stars!

Capital was recommended by a mechanic friend of mine as the best place in Raleigh. They replaced the motor in my truck and when I showed it to the guy at the service station he guessed it was done by Capital. He said They are real artist when it comes to replacing motors. Look at those ties on the wiring harness. Only the pros take time to do things like that.

This must be the most honest repair facility in the state. Competent, knowledgeable and not looking to sell you services and procedures not needed. This is the ONLY place I will be servicing from this point forward. Both glad and lucky I found them.
