This place is awesome. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and have never had a bad experience. The guys always schedule me within a week of me calling, usually less. They are honest and thorough. Prices are always reasonable. I moved to a different town and still drive here because they’re just better than the rest.

I moved to Raleigh last year and Ive been looking for a small respectable shop that I can trust and I found that in Cox Car Care. I brought my car in for an oil change and asked for a general tune up. Most dealership mechanics would see that as a green light to give unnecessary repairs so they can make a quick buck. But Adam told me everything looked good and left it at an oil change. Best part is the oil change was cheaper than the quick lube I went to last time!

I have used this auto mechanic for 25 years. They are excellent and will not price gouge their customers. Bob, and Adam will shoot straight about your car problems. I highly reccomend this business for your auto repairs and maintence. Terry

We were in town visiting our daughter and had vehicle issues. We went to Cox Car Care and we were very impressed by the professionalism and service we received. They DID NOT try to add on extra services. The work was completed in a timely manner and the charges were reasonable. Much better than another place across from Biscuitville that we have used previously. Very satisfied and will be our go to when in the area.

I had 4 new tires installed and balanced so they said. After leaving I noticed my steering wheel shaking at 60mph that was not there before. No big deal so I returned for them to redo and they did with the same results. I returned to be told they are balanced and they could not do anything else after taking my $90! Plus my sensor for TPMS were not working after the install! I immediately went to pep boys of Garner, as my receipt shows for the owner, and had them rebalanced. I asked the manager may I take pictures of each tire on the machine to show if it was balanced or not. He stated I could and every tire was off! I have yet to hear from the owner 3 weeks later. I have called everyday since and even went there. One of the employees said we told you to come before 11am. First off its not my responsibility to chase down someone that is dodging me. Do yourself a favor and do not try and help small businesses out because they do not care as this one does and they are small for that reason. Go to a corporate store that has a hierarchy and rules to get the job done after you pay! Crooks!Update I wanted to add since the crook owner finally responded like a coward online. See that is something you would not have to deal with going to a chain tire shop. They were my new tires that I did purchase online, true! Here is another true statement pep boys of Garner balanced them right after you charged me for the service you claimed you did. SO ARE YOU SAYING YOU CANNOT BALANCE TIRES CORRECTLY LIKE OTHER SHOPS SINCE I DID NOT BUY THE TIRES FROM YOU CROOK? PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND WHOEVER ELSE IS READING THIS. PLUS YOU DID NOT RESET MY SENSOR. IF YOU KEEP TREATING CUSTOMERS LIKE ME AND ALL THE 1 STARS YOU WILL NEVER BUILD UP YOUR BUSINESS AND YOU WILL STAY A FAILURE WITH THAT SMALL SHOP!

My mother ,86, took her car to this crooks house! They claimed she needed brakes all around. My mother has memory loss and UNFORTUNATELY FORGOT I JUST PAID PRECISION TUNE 3 WEEKS AGO FOR NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND!!! They installed them on her car with brand new brakes !!! I have the receipt for both places! The owner will not speak to me and is dodging my call. I bet you are because ADAM STOLE , $567 from my mom!!! Crook!

After the severe thunderstorms, my Honda Pilot started making this loud obnoxious noise. It seemed as if some tree debris perhaps got stuck underneath. I had some time before picking my daughter up and found Cox nearby. I had NEVER been there before. The guy got in my car started it and heard the noise. He got out of the car crawled underneath for about 10 seconds, noise gone. Didnt charge me a dime, and he didnt even have to put it up on the lift. As soon as he heard the noise he knew exactly what it was. Apparently some debris hit this very thin piece of metal causing it to rub against the drive shaft or something. I was so impressed that he knew exactly what it was. These guys are GREAT!!! They made my day...

These are my guys. They wont give you the runaround, theyll just tell you what it is and what it will cost. Its not a dealership, so I dont expect any of the dealership frills. Theyre efficient, honest, inexpensive, and the only mechanics I have ever trusted to this degree. This place is awesome! I made an online appointment to get my vehicle inspected. When I arrived my car was quickly taken care of and the whole process ended up being only about 20 minutes. I was very pleased with both the customer service and the speed of service! The inspection was $30 (with tax) and included both the safety and emissions inspections (required by NC DOT for registration).

I have been using this shop for many years. It has been a family owned small business that takes great pride in what they do. I have never once had a problem. This type business could be a haven for bad reviews but as you see below most all of them are all positive. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I have an older SUV and it likes to throw a wrench in my plans some days. It never fails, if I call Adam in the morning and drop it off they get me taken care off. I just moved to Raleigh for college and this is a great place for oil changes and state inspections. Last week, I was running around trying to find a quick place to get my state inspection done since it was expiring that day. I was also about a month overdue on my oil change. I didnt want to go to a JiffyLube that will mess up my car or a small shop that will overcharge me. I ended up finding Cox Car Care and got my oil changed and inspection done, all for about $80 (extremely reasonable), had great service, and I was in and out in one hour or less (I even booked it that morning). Highly recommend it to anyone looking to get an oil change or inspection.EDIT: Ive now been going to this place for about a year now. I got my oil change last month and noticed that I had a small leak. I brought it back to Cox and they owned up to it, fixing it free of charge and redoing the oil change. Love this place.

My aunt and uncle, as well as, my mother did business with these folks for decades and were always very happy with Cox Car Care. When I moved into the area, I started taking my vehicles to them for service as well. I have always found them to be fair, honest, and prompt in their work.

Had a friend recommend this place and I had a great experience here. I took my car in for a brake fluid flush and asked them to check out a new engine noise. They gave a really thorough examination and called me multiple times to fill me in and get some more details about when I experienced the noises. In the end, they did everything within reason, did it well, and all for a reasonable price.

Another car place said I needed $1700 of work & tires. Adam who I got the sense was totally honest & straight forward, assessed the car and scheduled appointment.Next day they got the car in early, finished quickly and it cost $175.Needless to say I very highly recommend them and eiwi definitely return. Went to Cox Car care to have some work done on my SUV so it would pass inspection. After some bad customer service and outlandish quotes from some other mechanics in the area a friend recommended this place to me. As someone who doesnt know a whole lot about cars, its hard to find a place you trust, that is actually going to get you what you need, and not just try to up-sell and make a buck off you. What was quoted elsewhere at almost 600 dollars, Cox Car Care was able to take care of for around 300. The customer service was great, everyone was really nice, and my car was ready to be picked up in just a few hours! Inspection passed when I took in back in. Highly recommend this place, and no I am not related !

I visited earlier this morning because I had a flat tire. I was there shortly after opening and Bob was quick to help even though his staff hadnt arrived yet. For a first time visit, this left a great impression. Although I wasnt due for work for another hour and a half, I was on my way to volunteer at a local elementary school and was worried Id be late. They tried to get me to have more work done than needed. After looking at my vehicle, they gave me an estimate of over a thousand. I felt that this was a situation where I may be getting taken advantage of, so I called around before making a decision and I was ABSOLUTELY right! I took my car to Quality Brake Center, where they do much more than breaks and are very honest. I ended up needing LESS work than I went in for and only paid a quarter of what I would have at Cox Car Care. Definitely wont be returning here and would not recommend them to anyone! I had a battery light on and they were going to replace the alternator and belt when it turned out the sensor was just unplugged and all parts are in great shape. Odds are if you go here youre wasting money on a lot of unnecessary work!

Ive been going to Bob for quite some time now. I used to help at D&T When the Nobles were still around. Cox Car Care is a neighborhood goobers The job is done at a FAIR price with not alot of BS. You choose what you get done and they do it. If you need a part ordered you can wait until its ordered and then go in early to have the car worked on. The guys working there are nice, too, but I dont know all of them. I would recommend anyone to him, as long as you dont need glitzy.

They claimed they fixed my transmission but after two days and $1345 I was stranded and broke on the side of the road.

I take all of my cars to Bob and Jon. They replaced a water pump in my 335i and the tower struts in my Explorer. They are honest, prompt and fair priced, which can be hard to find these days. I highly recommend CCC. They are great.

Traveling in the area for a trade show and had a flat tire. Pulled in at 7:30 am. Without an appointment, Bob quickly grabbed my car, repaired tire, placed spare back in trunk and had ready to go while I went across the street for breakfast. The repair and service was fantastic. Then the bill came. To my surprise it was incredibly fair. As someone who spends a lot of time on the road I cannot speak highly enough of the service Cox Car Care provided for me.

I went here (now renamed Cox Car Care) on a recommendation from a friend to get an extensive tuneup for a cross-country trip. Service staff was professional, knowledgeable and quick, and they called me to authorize each and every piece of work. I checked their quoted rates against typical competitors and found they ended up saving me a little over $200 all told. Definitely recommend.

Starter went bad on my car so went to Cox to get it replaced. The service was done the same day which was great but the price was a bit high; I am positive I was overcharged >$100 for the re manufactured starter they put in my car. So, definitely ask some questions if you think the price is a bit outrageous.

These guys are a group of Throw parts at it and see if it works mechanics. Ask questions because the will rip you off if you let them. I am new to Raleigh saw the good reviews and decided to use them since they were close. That was mistake. On the plus side I have a new starter for no reason. Not a very ethical shop in my opinion. Read following for in depth details.Towed my Subaru in because it would die after very short periods and lose power (electrical) and not regain power for a while after. I knew something was wrong with the spark plugs due to the check engine code and the ground terminal was rusted (AAA guy brought my attention to it). Adam (clerk) said a starter would cause the car to stall so they replaced the starter AND the negative terminal (260 dollars). He said the sluggishness was the spark plugs and ignition coil (opted out of this 350 dollar part). Then when I asked when I came to get my car if my car would cut off again. Adam said yes. Its the ignition coils that caused the car to stall which was contradictory to what he said at first. Took my car to a trusted mechanic after that and he said the ignition coils were fine but there was a short in the spark plug wires, fuel filter was clogged, and that the rusted terminal probably shorted out the electrical system. So in short my car had a fuel delivery problem which the guys at Cox didnt notice and didnt need a starter. They did not even try to diagnosis the car. They didnt test drive the car until I asked them too. On the bill it says wouldnt start - replace starter and error code [rear cylinder miss fire] - replace ignition coil. They just replace the highest grossing part and work backwards. Not a very ethical shop in my opinion. My car runs great now thanks to my trusted mechanic, who is 2 hours away and my buddies who helped me limp my car home.
