Our first time at Cloud City and the service was INCREDIBLE. Such friendly staff were all so kind, helpful and accommodating. Our ice cream was delicious!! Bourbon vanilla was unexpectedly flavorful as well as cookie dough and butter pecan. If you enjoy waffle cones- you should get your ice cream in these! Homemade and with a hint of vanilla flavor. I could just eat a pile of those. Thank you, Cloud City staff for ending our night with ice cream and cheer!

Incredible service and such distinct flavors with VERY large portion sizes. I tried one of their summer specials: the Mountain Mule (based on a Moscow Mule) and it was delicious.Highly recommend and would love to return.

Delicious ice cream, extremely friendly staff, what more can you want? I highly recommend the earl grey blueberry ice cream as well as the better-than-therapy. Its probably not going to solve your issues but its still a great pick-me-up! They currently also have a few small table set up outside in the parking lot if you arent comfortable with eating inside.

Great ice cream! I really like their salted caramel swirl and a waffle cone! They typically have a line in the evening hours, but it goes pretty quickly. They also have a few seats available outside but again, come early, they go quick.

My favorite local ice cream shop. They give you a ton of ice cream even in just a single and all the flavors are so unique and delicious. Plus they have specials all the time. Everyone is always really nice and fast. They recently added some outdoor seating which I really appreciate since that was the only thing lacking before.

Pints-to-go are a great option if you don’t feel like waiting in line. The Cloud City chocolate is absolutely fantastic, better in my opinion than Salt & Straw’s. The staff are friendly, hard working kids.

YES. Got a waffle cone here with two scoops-- one banana, the other Sasquatch tracks. Banana was the winner. Friend got a strawberry scoop and a marrionberry. Strawberry was the winner. Two big thumbs up, will go again.

Edited: I’ve been going here for about 6 years now. They have the best, creamy chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, which is my favorite. My wife loves the Better Than Therapy. We had several visits over the last year that there were some quality issues with the ice cream, but the last 2 times we’ve come, the ice cream has been back to it’s normal greatness. I appreciate the business reaching out to us to make things right after our disappointing visits.

Way better than Salt and Straw. Their Oatmeal Cookie may be the best ice cream Ive ever had. Its probably a good thing that I dont live close to them.

Unfortunately my experience here wasnt up to the expectations. The ice cream itself (like the cream) was rich and creamy, but the taste of whatever flavors you got werent popping and flavorful. I had the cookies and cream and the Saskatchewan tracks and it seemed like they just mixed in the toppings after they made the vanilla ice cream and there were barely any toppings at that. Highly disappointed, but was decent ice cream regardless. Just the flavors didnt have that pop. Dont recommend.

Love the unique and constantly rotating flavors at this place! Try the earl gray! The ice cream is thick and rich, the fruit and other ingredients layered in are super fresh. There is often a line when I go but it moves very fast and the customer service is great. I only wish they had more locations!

Very tasty ice-cream with various flavor to choose from. I ordered Bourbon Vanilla and Salted Caramel Swirl flavors, surprisingly both matched so well. Salty and Sweet with a light taste of Bourbon. it is so good. Definitely need to go and give a try.

The bourbon vanilla didnt wow me, not much bourbon flavor at all. Large ice crystals in my scoops. About 3/4ths of the way through my cone it just tasted and felt like eating plain frozen cream. Ill try them again (diff flavor) but I was only impressed with the friendly service.

Really good ice cream. Usually the ice cream in the US is creamy and not really flavorful aside from chocolate. I didnt feel that here, I felt true flavor.Chocolate was amazing, but the other flavors tasted really good too.

Were in love! We ordered the Sea Salt Cookie Dough, Better Than Therapy, Gold Digger, Marionberry Lemon Curd, a sweet cream with circus animals, and a dark chocolate with sea salt caramel. And wow. All AMAZING. Seriously the best ice cream weve ever had.

Mediocre vegan ice cream. Friends who eat their cow based ice speak highly of their experience. So those who dont do dairy, dont get excited. Otherwise, enjoy.

This ice cream is not good at all. We tried coffee which tasted like vanilla. It was so tasteless not worth eating we threw it away. The next flavor was banana and it almost tasted like vanilla. It was an expensive lesson.

The single source chocolate was very good. The Oregon Strawberry was horrible. It was icy, not creamy. There was not a hint of real strawberries in it. No fruit pieces, no fruit skin, not even a seed. It has very little flavor and I would even guess it was artificially flavored from what little it had. Based on this visit we will not be returning.

Cloud City makes the BEST sea salt cookie dough ice cream I have ever had in my life. The dough is plentiful and the perfect texture spread throughout the sweet ice cream. The mini chocolate chips provide a delightful crunch. I ate an entire pint in a day, and went back for another pint the next day. Go try Cloud City for yourself!!!

Great ice cream, had bourbon vanilla and kids had Oreos and cream and cookies in ice cream were massive. Please, however, up your service level. The worker at the window taking my order seemed half asleep, muttering and it was like pulling teeth to accomplish a simple order. Great ice cream depressing vibe.

I knew strait away when I moved to portland that I loved this place. It has GREAT staff and amazing ice cream. I am never choosing a different ice cream place to eat. They have a huge variety of ice creams. They also have gluten free ice cream. The staff makes fresh cones. One time my cone was still warm! They have a modern feel to the inside. And amazing chalkboard art as well. The customers that come and go around there are pretty nice. I usually get a split scoop on a cone. Id recommend sea salt cookie dough with cookies and cream. They also have free water. The staff ranges through teen to like the age 30 or 20. So dont worry about any cranky old people! All in all I really recommend this place. Pictures below ⬇️⬇️

LOVE Cloud City. Covid style - you come up to the window/ door and order, and they bring it to you at another door. You can walk up with dogs/ strollers/ etc. if you’re deciding what to get, they can help you - but I can too! Cookie dough - it’s about half ice cream, half cookie dough. None of that crazy “barely-any-mixins” here. Also, if you’re not a chocolate fan, I recommend the Better than Therapy.

Alongside the flavoured ice cream and plentiful vegan options, they also offer shakes, floats, cookie sandwiches & hand-packed pints-to-go. Hayley and Laura are amazingly passionate and gave us a big warm welcome during our stay in Portland.Tip: Ask what the specials are, they change regularly and really show their flair as an ice cream store.

It was great! The parlor is set up so that you order from standing outside at one door and then pick up from the other door. Brilliant for protecting everyone. We were about 8 miles away on 101° day, so my son put ice in a cooler for the trip. He promptly stowed the pints until we got home. I wanted to share for anyone who might live a little ways away on hot days. Mission accomplished! Great combo! So many more flavors to try!

I am an ice cream connoisseur and you cant find better value in Portland than Cloud City. The scoops are huge, the price is great, and the taste...THE BEST. The sea salted cookie dough has huge mounds of delicious cookie dough and small chocolate chips, by the way. No more digging for the dough only to find rock hard chocolate squares. Ive never had a flavor I didnt love. Yeah, Salt & Straw, blah blah blah...theyre good but you pay for the hype there. Go to Cloud City. You wont regret it.

I purchased 5 different flavors for the house and there were so many to choose from, even creative lactose-free/vegan flavors as well. Everyone loved their ice cream and Ill be back very soon.

Nice place. 1st time here and during the social distancing. 6 foot markers on the sidewalk. No samples. BUT the spoons are all in one cup that all the sick people reach into to get. Seriously. The ice cream was good. Lots of unique flavors.

We order outside and pick up outside. Employees are masked and there is a plexiglass partition. Im not sure it is necessary to require customers mask up to order/pick up. I understand an abundance of caution, but this is surely an overabundance of caution.

Interior seems to always smell of perfumed cleaner making it unpleasant... but service is fast and friendly and they have wide selection.On a sunny day prepare to wait in line. Just wish theyd have customers stay on sidewalk and not pour into parking lot. Lots of kids and dogs to try and safely maneuver around...
