This low key place serves really good Italian food. We took the Margarita and the Burrata. Both were delicious. The burrata comes with heirloom tomatoes which were rich with flavor. Cute special thing that I’ve never seen before Cibo is using scissors for slicing the pizza.

Ive had take out from Cibo several times in the past year. The pizza is always really good, polenta fries are an obvious choice, but you really gotta save room for dessert. I love the olive oil cake so much. Finally had a chance to dine in yesterday, and Im so glad we did. We all tried pasta dishes, which were equally delicious. The staff was really really friendly, like, all of them. It seemed like they actually wanted to be there, which isnt true of all restaurants in town. I will definitely continue to get delivery and dine in. Thanks so much!

Describing our experience as underwhelming would be an understatement. Partner and I chose this place for our 2nd anniversary and we braved rush hour traffic from the Valley into the city to visit; we really wanted good Italian food. The fact that our server with zero personality barely mumbled two words to us (not even a hello, how are you tonight), and dropped plates off in silence and never bothered to ask how things were going, the main disappointment were the pasta dishes. Her lasagna-esque spinach ricotta dish was okay at best, and $20 for a bowl of flavorless spaghetti and a handful of overcooked, rubbery meatballs. Ive made better at home and Im far from a chef, nor possess italian cooking expertise. In the end, server comped the spaghetti dish which leaves me with MAYBE Ill give the place another try, but doesnt change the fact that I left hungry and still spent far too much for what we got. Cool ambience, should have ordered the pizza...

The pizza was good but little bit of a snooty vibe. Some people are into that though. Felt a bit ignored by our waiter who served the indoor people more often while we waited for water refill outside. They didnt have iced tea which was strange. Again though good pizza, just not my kind of place.

Such a great spot! The food, cocktails, and service were impressive. We had the burata and a pizza. Super fresh tasting ingredients. We got to slice our pizza with scissors, which was a very fun and as I learned, the traditional way to cut pizza in Italy. The drinks were very well done. They were definitely in the category of craft cocktails, my girlfriend had a maple old fashioned, soooo yummy. And the service was amazing to top it all off. Our server was very professional and took very good care of us. I will update with his name next time we go, I unfortunately didnt ask. This place is so good, a little on the pricey side, and absolutely worth it.

Top notch date spot. People were shucking some serious seafood in there but we sat outside with wine and the Cibo Pizza. Picked random wines and they were great. And the pizza had really good cheese, a thorough layer of thin sliced ham, and vegetables evenly spread out except for one bite with too many peppers. The crust was excellent but slightly undercooked in the very middle of the pizza but nbd. Also I pressed the wrong button and undertipped the kind server by a couple bucks, so leave him some extra when you go there plz.

What is up with the wood fired pizza craze? The wood stove at Cibos pollutes the entire neighborhood around their Division St restaurant. I biked by today and could smell smoke from blocks away, even as the wildfire smoke from the south blew into the city. The negative health impacts of wood smoke are well understood and Cibo is harming nearby residents. Come on! Get rid of the archaic wood stove or pay for a top notch scrubber to reduce the PM2.5

Cibo is one of the best neighborhood restaurants on SE Division. It is blocks from my house. Marco and his crew are amazing family. I go once a week sometimes just for dinner , takeout or a glass of wine. I talk to my favorite bartenders. It is cozy and fun and other patrons also want to talk or read a book or meat with friends . Before the Pandemic I went every week for dinner .Marco also works with other local business to promote them. So with take out you can get Pinolo ice cream, he support and promotes Division Wine and SE Wine collective .So excited to have take out again and to see my friends from afar .Don’t think twice, just get take out and plan to come back when they open up as a restaurant#supportLocaLRestaurantsBelow we ordered a bottle of aglianico wine

I had the Pollo Fritto and the Funghi e Salsiccia pizza. The chicken was pretty good but really not my favorite wood-fired pizza. I ended up having to remove huge globs of unmelted cheese. First time eating here. Spaghetti and meatballs last night made my really sick this morning for reasons beyond me. There was a bunch grease at the bottom of the container which was unnecessary, and the dish was lacking in zest. Maybe lemon juice or oregano or something but that typical tangy flavor of the sauce was just missing. Meatballs were also a little strange in texture and lacking in flavor. Hopefully the can sort out what goes into this dish with a little more traditional flavor and less oil.

Cibo has, by far, the best Italian Ive tried in Portland. Piazza Italia is my number 2 choice. The service at Cibo is very much superior and the food is slightly better. Cibo has high quality pasta dishes and their small plates are special, polenta fries, mussels and Tuscan fries were very good. Pasta dishes pictured were all great but note that their pesto pasta usually comes with a different type of noodle, the one pictures was a special type they only had on our first visit.

Ive worked in Italian restaurants for 7 years, good ones, so believe me when I say this place is super legit. I first had the Margherita pizza, which was excellent and I could tell by how well it was done that their menu is just as good too. So later I got the Uncle Vics Ravi and it was delicious, more than expected. The staff is very professional, its obvious the owner is running a superb business and Im glad this is in my neighborhood so I can continue enjoying their menu. It has been a long time since I’ve had service this good. The food is also really good! Their pizza is phenomenal! My only complaint, is that we were in a large party (8 people), and when we got there they said the booth was big enough to fit 8 people. It definitely was not. You can fit 6 people at most. We ended up sitting at the big table outside so it wasn’t an issue; but the booths are certainly not big enough for 8. Don’t patronize this place. Went there for my husband’s birthday. Always go to this place for our birthdays. The waiter (who turned out to also be the manager) completely freaked out on us about some happy hour “rule” about ordering drinks. The irony is, what we had orders wasn’t even on the the happy hour menu. And he started lecturing us on ordering drinks if we wanted to order off the happy hour menu. We easily spend way over $150 each time we are there. Just tried Cibos take out order process. Tonight it was a mess; the online ordering said the pizza would be ready at 6 pm. We live 4 blocks from the restaurant. When I showed up it was not ready, 10 to 15 others were also waiting. They would not text us when it would be available and they estimated it would be ready for 6:30 pm. When I showed up to pick it up the second time; there were 15 people waiting; some mentioned being there since 6 pm. Not sure why Cibo and their on-line ordering company are struggling with the pick up scheduling. Pizza Scholls has a system that is awesome. Had to re-heat the Cibo pizza as it had sat a while and I walked it home. Disappointed this didnt go more smoothly.
