Simply the best. Great quality and great service.
I checked in with Portage glass on my home project when we moved in the area. I was surprised to have their estimate come in much higher than companies out of Madison that have to drive 40 miles. What really bothered me was I took in some posters to get glass and aluminum framed to match some done by a Glass company in northwest Wisconsin. Those had been done for $65 each. When I took them in to portage glass I was given an estimate roughly the same cost. After a month of waiting the owner called me and said they were done but the cost was significantly higher, $350! After being shocked and outraged she drop the price $50. So that’s still 150 apiece, three times what other companies charge. They did turn out nice but no different than the others. They did turn out nice but no different than the others. I run a company also, and If I went to my customers after I completed the job and told them it would be three times more money, how long will I be in business?
I gave them a low rating only because of their pricing. I needed 2 pieces of glass replaced in a display cabinet, maybe 3/16 thich and 12 x 12 with an angle cut. I was informed that the replacement glass would cost as much as the cost of my cabinet. So, if you need similar type glass replacement you might want to shop around.
After dealing with Anderson Windows and not having a clear answer on what part we needed for a replacement window, we reached out to Portage Glass. I dropped the window off on Saturday and it was done by Monday afternoon. Price was reasonable compared to what we would have paid for a new window
Awesome place, very helpful for all your window, windshield needs
Used Portage Glass to buy a panel for a broken coffee table. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. I dont think the price was great, but I didnt shop around enough to speak on it.
Friendly and get the job done
