Very slow service. Only way to get fast service is mobile pickup.

Someone else wrote about a rude person who talked on the phone while he was supposed to be talking to the customer, had zero concept of customer service at all. Pretty sure I had the same guy. He also lied to my face and said no other uhaul had a part in stock, he never offered to call another store, tried to sell me a product I didnt need, then told me to leave for being rude. He kept spitting his chewing tobacco in a bottle the whole time he was talking to him, then he had a meltdown when I referred to him as a kid. Dont let these people work on your car until they stop hiring kids who do drugs. I drove to Lenexa, they had the product in stock.

If I could give it a zero I would. We reserved a uhaul ahead of time. Weve now been here 1.5 hours & there are still 4 people ahead of us in line (which by the way goes OUT the door right now by 10 people). Its a nightmare of understaffing & inefficiency. Rent from anywhere else unless you enjoy amusement park type lines, standing in concrete in the heat & humidity, and knowing the friends who committed to help you move have been waiting for an hour &( hopefully are good enough friends to give you a lot of slack.By the way, the people in the outside photo are in line & the line has grown longer since I took the photo. Nightmare Saturday at UHaul on Metcalf.Adding a note:. My son got online for a live chat. He asked his question about the wait time, submitted it, the site said his question was read....yup no one answered. Shame on U-Haul online for saying a question was read, but not having the basic courtesy to reply, even if its just to say youre looking into the issue.

Always has what we need and the staff is terrific.

They only have one person working in the inside. They took 30 minutes just wait on me

If you are needing a U-haul, I would go elsewhere. Unless, you like dealing with uprofessional and individuals who do not have a clue; this the place for you.

I had a reservation to rent an in town truck for 2 hours from 7 am to 9 am at the uhaul at 7740 Metcalf Ave in Overland Park KS today. I made the reservation on the app and the app made it seem that we would not have to stand in line to pick up the truck. We arrive and are told to go inside and stand in line. There were at least 15 people in line at 7:15 and only ONE person (who was wearing his mask BELOW his chin) checking people in. We stood in line for 25 minutes before we were “helped.” When she arrived she spent 10 minutes preparing her area before she even started helping people. By the time she (Mindy/Arminta) finally started our reservation it was 7:45. She tells us we have to have the truck back by 9 am and if we didn’t it would be a 100 charge. How is that possibly our fault that we had to wait in line for so long that we couldn’t pick up our truck on time due to the lack of customer assistance! She was very rude and didn’t adjust our start time and didn’t apologize for the lack of help at all. She offered no other solutions and said do you want me to continue with the reservation or not. She was completely unhelpful. I will NEVER shop at this store again. We have had prior negative experiences with this employee before. If you have MANY 7 am reservations you should staff accordingly. I will never use this store again. Worst customer service I’ve EVER experienced! AND she wasn’t wearing a mask! Only a face shield and that is not protective to those around her!

I dislike leaving bad reviews... however the associate we had to help us for our rental, was VERY and CLEARLY high. Making jokes about it. Also kept his phone conversation going while checking us out through the process. Ive used uhaul before numerous times, and never found a location less interested in any form of customer service.

I ordered a 5x8 trailer online for pickup, when I arrived there was a massive line and only one person at the register. Eventually a second lane opened up and after about 25 minutes we were helped. The lady checked us out but they gave us an outdoor trailer (NOT what I reserved- I ordered an enclosed trailer) and they didn’t even tell us that. Pretty much got lied to and ripped off- would not recommend

Easy access and friendly, helpful staff. They refill propane tanks here.

Very unprofessional. Writing this as I stand in a long line. I heard her talking to guest and she was cussing as she was on the computer. My main issue is the line. I have been here before and decided not to wait in the long line, but this time I dont have a choice. So there is only one person at the counter and she has been helping the same person for over 10 minutes now. There is literally only 3 more people ahead of me, but at this rate it will be another 30 minutes at least.....Now she has disappeared outside for at least 5 minutes and still dealing with same person. Ridiculous!!!! They should have a kiosk for non truck related items.

If I could give negative stars I would. They will over charge you to get more money for their business. The people who work here are extremely unprofessional. When we were suppose to have done a walk through over the truck we were renting they said “oh you’re good no need”. Just to later charge us for things we hadn’t done while the truck was back in their possession. I advice no one to go to this location.

Hitch install appiintment for 7am, online said I wouldnt have to drop it off. Only 1 person was scheduled to open and wasnt able to install because of this. He couldnt keep up with the line that formed.No fault of the employee as he was very apologetic but indicative of ownership that simply doesnt care about the business as long as it makes them money. Go somewhere else.

Friendly competent employees, was a quick check out, and an after hours drop off. They correctly calculated miles and adjusted what we were charged. Great service especially as we were part minute renting! Plenty of trucks were available?

The 2 times Ive used this location all scheduled details have been wonderful. The Mgr is very helpful to suggest ways I can accomplish my goals.

BY FAR THE WORST UHAUL EXPERIENCE EVER. THE OWNER ARMINTA IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE AND SO VERY RUDE. I WOULD RATHER HAND CARRY ALL MY BELONGINGS THEN RENT HERE.

They only had one service rep running the counter on a saturday morning. So of course there was a line and i had to wait 30 minutes despite filling in my information online in advance.The girl running the counter was friendly and doing the best she could. Management just needs to learn to schedule an extra person for saturday mornings...

Computer trouble when I picked up the truck. Took way too long.When I returned it, I was charged $11 because I didnt put enough gas in it. I literally drove it into the city and back, 20 miles at most, and put 1.3 gallons in. The gas gage appeared to be where it was when I took the vehicle. They guy said I needed to put in 3 gallons. First, theres no way I burned 3 gallons of gas, unless this truck only gets 6 miles per gallon. Second, I didnt bring a tape measure to measure the gas gage. Third, these gas gages arent that accurate anyway. Are we seriously going to be that nit picky?The staff was rude and arrogant. I will never go back.

Great customer service. We were able to get in and out and on the road fairly quickly. We picked up a hitch trailer.

Younger lady with the black and blue dyed hair is extremely unprofessional. I was having a heated conversation with my own significant other when she decided to jump in calling me a “brat”. I said it wasn’t her business so she comes at me like she’s gonna fight me and proceeded to follow me out of the store yelling profanities.Edit: two years later and seems like this U/Haul really went downhill! That’s no surprise seeing how my experience was. News flash, your store sucks and I can already bet you’re losing profit.

Can you get a moving truck here? Yes. Is the staff enthusiastic? I wouldnt put it that way.

The guy redefines poor customer service. If a peoples person means that you greet customers with a 90s style Ssup and an attitude that would put DMV to shame, then U-HAUL has got the right person.

Poor customer service but more economical than hiring movers.

This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a Uhaul. Customer service was poor and charging my account erroneously for a item/service I didnt buy. This essentially means holding additional funds hostage. Im highly disappointed overall with the experience and will discourage everyone I know from using this location

Came here to buy a box! One person working and took 45 minutes. Why is this location such a complete mess? Corporate?
