I opened an account with Kay Jewelers in 2019 and ordered a beautiful wedding ring. I unfortunately had to go back a few times due to stones falling out- but the store manager Brandy was always incredibly helpful and understanding. She always went above and beyond and finally was even the one to suggest I trade my ring for a different style. That was the key! My new ring is beautiful and Brandy is amazing and incredibly helpful.

Spent $5800 + tax on an engagement ring, took it to be resized not only did they write down the wrong size after being resized (which i had to call to correct them) but they sent my ring back from being resized BROKEN. I show up to pick up my ring at 5pm excited as I had gotten an email that it was complete and they tell me “oh we meant to call you today”. They closed at 7 that day and if they hadn’t gotten to calling me yet, I doubt it would’ve happened at all especially considering that it was a Friday. Isn’t that something you should get on right away? especially considering the amount of money spent. Also why would you send a ring back broken and then mess around for days before either remaking it or getting it fixed? They told me they would have to talk to their manager to figure out what to do, which was fine I do understand things happen. However, 5 days later and they still hadn’t gotten a hold of me. I called the store 3 times, no answer. Finally, on the 4th call someone answers just to tell me that their manager was gone that day and the next. Clearly they don’t prioritize their customers or accommodate them when THEY mess up. If you knew you were going to be gone for days, why wouldn’t you take care of something I would consider important before you leave? Luckily, I was able to transfer all my information to the Liberty Kay’s and they got me taken care of appropriately and timely. They told me that there is no excuses for a broken ring and have no idea how it happened other than carelessness. If it wasn’t for Liberty Kay’s, I probably wouldn’t have gotten my ring back until my wedding date and who knows if it would fit correctly or be in one piece 😂. I’m not against Kay’s in general as a business, just don’t recommend EVER going to this one for anything!!

We ended up buying a ring there as I wanted a smaller ring and my husband wanted to upgrade. The lady we origonally were with was super helpful and nice. They talked my husband into financing or something, so she worked with him and another lady helped me try on rings. She was an older lady.After realizing we didnt want to spend over $1.6k on a ring, the lady I felt was very snotty and judgy therafter. A ring I wanted to look at was over our initial budget. Oh you cant afford that she said. Then she kept saying that my husband didnt know anything about rings. Honestly we both didnt, but maybe educate us? He felt very judged when he stated his initial price range ($400-$600 per ring), which to us was comfortable as I am not much of a jewlery diamond person anyways. The older lady stated Well this isnt walmart. I am kind of thankful I had patience.After looking at a ring for maybe 15 minutes, I changed my mind as I did NOT want to spend near $2k on a ring even when he was fine with it. The lady (oriognal lady) I felt like I annoyed as she went back over to the desk with the other sales ladies were and I could see the expression on the older ladys face as to what the origonal lady was telling her. I felt bad for even changing my mind. But I am much happier with my second choice.We did spend $1600 on just one ring (I was going to get both rings saudered anyways into one ring), but that was with insurance and all. If you are going to talk about or judge customers, Id wait until they leave. We felt like we were a price tag honestly as soon as we walked in. For cleanings and all, I will probley be going to a different Kays. I would give 2 stars, but our origonal lady was nice and I felt bad. I bought a mothers day necklace at another location and I never felt judged or like a pricetag.

Went in to find an engagement ring, staff was exceptionally rude, trying to push their card on me before I even picked a ring, kept talking down to me like I was good enough to afford the rings, and kept trying to push rings on me that I knew my fiancé wouldnt like, talking as if they knew her better than me. Avoid this place, all of the other jewlers in the mall treated me 1000 times better than this place.

Friend of mine had his card stolen and used to buy a ring on the Kay website for pickup at this location. The person went to the location and picked up the $500 ring without being IDd by any staff to see if it matched the card. When my friend went to the store to get the info they refused to disclose any information and asked him to leave despite the purchase being made in his name and him having both ID and social security card with him to prove his identity. Even with canceling his card he is down hundreds and kay can do nothing but ask him to leave. Im not a very big fan of Kay atm.

I took my ring to get repaired from the base (sizing area) since it broke. It took 3 weeks to get it repaired and finally I got the call that it was ready to pick up. I was excited hoping everything was perfect, I go pick up my ring and the engraving in my ring has completely gone and so was the birthstone. I told the lady working there what happened and she had an attitude with me, telling me I should’ve said I had that on the ring before I sent it out, you would think they would be careful working on a ring but they’re not. I had to send it back to get the engraving done again. So disappointed in their service. I’d advice everyone to double check your jewelry that gets sent out for repairs!

Looking for a wedding band to go with my ring we worked with Brandy she’s so patient, so kind and really went out of her way to help us. Please pay attention to the return date, I exchanged an item and didn’t know I was out of the return date.. but within the exchange date.. I didn’t realize until I went to return a pair of earrings that actually broke my ears out with a rash on my neck as well.. after wearing them for a hour. I went to the store due to customer service advised me to go speak to a manager. I spoke with McKenzie at Oak Park Mall Store and she advised me since it was up her to do the return she wouldn’t return the earrings. Due my last receipt stated I did an exchange out of the return date. I could exchange only. She showed me items that I could exchange for someone 20 years younger. The earrings I wanted to return were in excellent condition.. I was advised per McKenzie to sell on some type of site called swap exchange?? If I didn’t want them.. I felt very be little.. previous months I. spent over $3000.00 in Kays and this how you get treated.. I will stick with higher quality Jewelry stores from now on as I did prior... ☺️

This location opened a credit card in my name without my expressed consent. They used the guise of seeing how much credit I might be able to get and instead opened an actual account. Never once did they tell me they would actually be opening an account. They then charged the purchase to my account and when I went to cancel the order they charged me interest. This was very shady and I will never be shopping at this location or any other location their parent company owns.

I dropped off two family heirloom rings for resizing just before the Covid closures. This was in early March. I was emailed later saying the rings would be delayed due to COVID, ok understandable; however, I recently learned the store reopened. I had dropped off a 3rd ring (the one I bought at Kays) which was returned almost immediately; however, the two family rings were held hostage. When I called this morning they told me they left me several messages saying the rings were ready to be picked up, LIES! I am a social worker and check my messages constantly. This is just plain not true. I would be leery about this location or using Kay Jewelers for repairs or resizing.

I went to the Ward Parkway location to have a diamond replaced in my ring. The associate left my ring on top of the display on the other side of the room while she scrambled (and failed) to pull up my account. Any one could have stolen my ring! So instead I took it to the Oak Park location to have it repaired. When I received my ring back it was a whole size smaller then when I sent it in- they had it resized to a size that doesn’t even fit me. So I had to send it back AGAIN. I ordered a different ring in the beginning of January and was promised twice that I would have it by February 1st, they did not have my ring when I went to pick it up. “I’m not sure where it is” is what I was told by the associate. Finally she figured out the shipment had a delivery date of Feb 3. Not that far off but I bought this as a birthday present- if they couldn’t get it to me by a certain date they shouldn’t have promised they could.

Great customer service, Kay Jewelers is the only jewelry store that I will ever buy from. I always deal with Leslie and everytime I walk into the store she makes me feel like family. Over the last 2 Christmases I have made some major purchases and she always makes sure I get the right thing for my wife and she goes out of her way to make sure that the rings have great clarity. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking to buy a special gift for that special someone.

Absolutely terrible experience. My fiance bought me a wedding band, and we tried to exchange it for a different size. They said they couldnt exchange it for the sale price, and we would have to pay full price for the right size. Rude and condescending the whole time, acted like we were inconveniencing them by wanting an exchange. So frustrated we just gave up, returned it, and are going elsewhere for the different ring.

The service at this store continues to get worse with every visit. I have my rings check regularly more than the needed 6 month checks. While on vacation in Pa. I had them cleaned and check and was told we needed to get them to our Kay Jeweler when we get home as I have a lose stone so I took them the this location where it was purchased and the lady took them and walked away to check them at a different scope than the one at the desk where I was at so I asked one of the other ladies if she says the ring is ok can you please check it then I will explain why sure enough she comes back and says it is fine so the second lady checks it and says there is a lose stone and said if you wanted it sent in you should just say so. Its not that I want it sent in again when I just got it back after Christmas for the same issue its I wanted to see if they found the,same issue or was the lady in Pa. mistaken. We were treated very rudely after that telling me that I was hard on my rings well guess what I work in retail just like they do its just a lot more than standing around in a jewelry store. So my husband made the comment that maybe it should just be left on the dresser to be looked at and her reply was maybe so he then stated that where the payment will be also and her reply was well in dont care guess what it shows and we will be going to the Lawrence store in the future where they have always been more than accommodating.

Horrible. I took in an earring to have the post shortened. The girls working there were nice, but not informed. They packaged up the earring and sent it off to our jeweler. After 3 weeks, they handed me the earring with a $30 price tag and absolutely nothing had been done to my earring! When I told them, they were confused and made a call. Their jeweler told them he didnt know what to do? Really? Bad experience. I would not return. They tried to charge me $30 for doing no work, and to top it off, they kept my special-locking earring back. I tried Joslins Jewelry just down the street and the jeweller shorted my post in front of my eyes in 3 seconds - now that is great customer service!

The worst customer service experience I have had, period. Leslie is the lead manager, who is BEYOND RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL I came to find out. I ordered a product online to be shipped to the store. My email confirmed the product was ready to pick up. I went on a Tuesday to pick up my order, and was told my product was not in the store yet and got ushered away. On a second attempt a few days later I went to the store again and was once again ushered out; told they didn’t have an order under my name. Mind you, this was my second visit to the store yet no one bothered to assist me or inquire more about my order at all, I was just sent away with unapologetic expressions. After having felt like I waited long enough for my order to have arrived, although my shipping information said it had already, I called the store before going in to receive assistance. I was put on hold and passed between 2 different coworkers before I was left to speak with one final worker. Mind you, I had no negative tone to my voice, I simply stated this process seemed ridiculous given that I had to call to resolve this, and even had to continually offer my tracking and order numbers to the employees, just to get them to look up my order. When they finally decided to, they saw my order had been placed under someone else’s name and WAS IN FACT in the store all along, when I had visited twice previously. I asked this final woman who I spoke on the phone with how this mistake could have been made, expressing my disgust at having to travel to the store for a third time, and expressing calmly I wanted a refund, only for this individual to HANG UP on me. I went to the store for the third time and askes to speak with the manager. Turns out, Leslie was the manager and when I told her about the rude phone conversation I discovered SHE was the last person I spoke to. When I confronted her on hanging up on me, she simply said “I didn’t hang up on you. I thought our conversation was over”. Once again, completely unapologetic and rude beyond belief. I never once approached any of the employees disrespectfully, never once raised my voice, cussed, etc. and that was how I was treated. I don’t know whether or not this was an act of discrimination or racism, or if this woman and her staff simply are this heartless and absolutely DISGUSTING. Nevertheless I got my refund, but I will never be going back to this awful excuse for a jewelry store.

Every kiss begins with BS...♡My fiance purchased a gorgeous rose gold ring from Kay Jewelers but we had to return it due to an allergy. We were greeted by Tina, who we specifically told our budget for a new ring. She said that we were never allowed to return an item for a refund, instead you receive store credit. (a manager later confirmed that they have a refund policy and Tina lied to my fiancee and myself)After viewing rings that we couldnt afford, I finally see the perfect ring for me, which was only a few hundred dollars more than my original. We then check out and leave happy.Fast forward 2 weeks and our bill is double the amount! Tina told us that my new ring was XYZ, but on top of what my old ring cost us. She only told us the difference between the two rings! Making us think we only had to spend a few hundred dollars more. But wait! It gets better... not only are we stuck with a massive bill but now is at a 26% rate for the second ring! That was never disclosed to us! And mind you, we have near perfect credit.In conclusion to what should have been the happiest of days, turned into a complete disaster and heartache. I still get my regular cleanings from Kays, but we have a designated person who takes it in for us. We refuse to step into that store!UPDATE: Tina no longer works there and the manager was incredibly nice but unable to do anything for us. We will never shop at Kays again and warn people about the scam artist we encountered.

I bought my fiancés wedding band from this Kay location and when I went in to buy the ring the lady had attitude. Im not sure if I caught her on a bad day but every question I asked was returned with attitude like I should have known what I was talking about. She told me 2 weeks for the ring to be resized and gave me an exact date. I got closer to the date and wanted to confirm it would be done and the person I spoke with said no it would actually be 3 weeks instead of the 2. The only good experience was when I picked up the ring. The lady was very cheery and helpful. She clearly liked her job. Not even 12 hours later I take the ring to my appraiser and they call and tell me that 3 diamonds in the band are severely loose. I contact Kays and they tell me it will be an additional 3 weeks before I get it back, which could not happen as Im getting married in less than a week. This is the 3rd Kay location Ive dealt with and each location was poor in quality. I will never buy anything again from Kay.

Tonight I walked in to this store and literally said Whats up guys? to Pam and Mackenzie because thats the comfort level theyve put me in since I started working with them. Ive been up to the store 5 times over the past few months. First for purchasing and then sizing my girlfriends ring and then now getting my own. I took forever (~2 hours) choosing the ring and Mackenzie didnt rush me once. She would go back and forth between rings and do whatever my indecisive self asked. I think maybe I was taking too long, yet, Pam smoothly transitioned in and wrapped things up. I walked out of there with a huge diamond propped up just the way my fiance wanted it and she gets compliments every single day. Mackenzie asked me tonight for a review and I am happy to do so because of how well they do their jobs. The stores rating now does not accurately reflect the kind of service youll get from these two. I hope that since Ive been in so many times one could take the poor reviews with a grain of salt. Ill be back in the 10th for a new Movado!

Worst experience ever!! I was just helping my son look around to get a gift for his girlfriend and sales people where very into high pressure selling, we didnt think they were going to let us leave, even tagged teamed us. I will NEVER be back to that store and hope that no one else does either.

Everyone seems friendly, until push comes to shove. They tell you read between the lines or there is no way an employee of ours wouldve told you that. Leslie, the manager, was indelicate about the situation and practically refused to help. Go to Ramones store in Independence, thatll be your best bet.

For the record tungsten has no street value ( pawn shops will give you nothing for it ) customer service here is horrific... The staff is very rude, I made the mistake of going back in after being treated so poorly the first time. Little to my suprise they were completely rude again!!! Katie has a very pushy sales tactic and Pam could care less about what you want she just wants you out of the store! The price is never know, its like going to an auction house to buy your jewlery!
