Nestled in an unassuming strip mall, this is a hidden gem!! The ice cream/shaved ice combination with honey toast as well as milk tea makes it worth the visit. However, there are no dairy free options as a heads up, which would be the only addition to make this cafe better. This is highly recommended!

I Am has a very nice atmosphere. The staff was very nice and were very accommodating to our questions. We got the berry cheesecake dessert and the brown sugar boba and they were both very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty frozen treat.

Wowowow delicious and amazing. Totally tucked away on a busy street in suburbia but we’ll worth it for the delicious shaved ice! I tried the Strawberry Limeaide and I am Magnificent and both were large! Easily shared amongst 3 adults and a hungry child. Can’t wait to come back for the toast which also looks enough for multiple people.

Best dessert place ever! The atmosphere was pleasant and aesthetically attractive, the desserts were fantastic! 10/10 highly recommend, will absolutely be coming back.

It was so yummy! I would have given it a 5, but felt a bit over priced at 15$ for some of the items. Definitely worth the visit if you want to try a different version of ice creams.

Amazing shaved ice with great selections, I have tried all the flavors already, and they are all heavenly! My favorite is “I am awesome” (Oreo). The place is super cute, with all soft and bright colors, definitely made for Instagram.

I Am Frozen is not your average ice cream place. There desserts are a mix of shaved ice and ice cream with delicious flavor combinations and the honey toast is fantastic.

Cute aesthetics, loved the Penguin logo & a perfect end to a meal! Not a ton of seating but you can still social distance in there if you stay. Great customer service. The photos on the counter have detailed info on eave dessert to help you decipher what you want. That was helpful. Would go back again!!!!

The interior is very aesthetic. The penguin logo is cute. The shaved cream has a unique and interesting texture to it. The dessert is hand crafted and the final product really does show this.

I Am is a great little dessert cafe. The inside is beautifully decorated, making you never want to leave. The menu is focused on two types of dessert with multiple flavors for each. We contacted them about having a small gathering after our wedding, and they were very excited and accommodating - they even created us a special bride and groom honey toast (our favorite dessert from them). The honey toast is the best dessert ever. A large piece of fluffy bread with a crunchy sugary crust on the outside. We have tried a few different flavors, and each is delicious. The ice cream is very different from American style ice cream. It is light and fluffy, perfect for a refreshing summer treat. Presentation of all the dishes are cute and creative. We will be returning for a sweet treat!

Oh my goodness. This place is so good. I was so excited because there is a lot of brick toast 🍞and Asian shaved ice like this in California but this was the first one in Kansas that I know of so I was super excited to come here. The shaved ice is amazing🤤. Oh Em Gee. It’s not like the shaved American ice that’s literally just ice. No. This is creamy, flavored, soft shaved ice. But the toast is even better. Just toasted perfectly in the ice cream 🍦that melts on it is amazing. The inside is so freaking soft I love it so much. The portions are huge. A bit pricey but this is the only one in the Midwest so I think it’s worth it for sure. 10/10 would recommend. 👌💯

Came to check this place out after seeing pictures on Instagram. Our drinks were AMAZING. The lady at the front was very nice and informative.Sadly I came for the toast dishes specifically but they were not able to make them due to machine errors.Will definitely come back if im ever in Kansas again.

Very different than most ice cream places. The strawberry limeade dessert was very good and refreshing. Not too heavy either. The price is in line with nicer ice cream places and its very unique.

Ive been to this cafe a handful of times and love everything about it! This cafe features Thai shaved iced cream (correct me if Im wrong) in flavors like Thai tea, green tea, coffee, strawberry, mixed berry, etc... but each menu item is given an I Am... (insert adjective)... name.The shaved ice creams Ive had here are not too sugary or overly sweet and it melts in your mouth pretty quickly (its airy and light in texture). The toppings are complimentary to the main shaved ice cream flavors. Plus, everything is nicely presented when the dishes come out. Id definitely recommend pairing one of the shaved ice creams with the honey toast!The Thai iced tea is on my list for one of the best in the area. I just wish the Thai iced teas were a little bigger/served with less ice because I sipped through it way too fast!The staff members were very kind and helped me walk through the menu when it was my first time. At times, Ive seen the manager check on tables to make sure everyones orders are okay.Id definitely like to see taro or honeydew added to the menu in the future. I cant wait to see this cafe grow!

This place has an amazing atmosphere and the owner of this shop is a wonderful person. The menu can look intimidating at first but dont let that sway you because no matter what you get everything there tastes amazing. The prices might look a little steep at first but alot of these items can be shared to due to amount you get. Fun place for some sweets after a date night or to take the family to.

We really loved the ice cream and the toast, both were delicious. The ice cream comes out much faster than the toast FYI. We had to wait about 20 minutes between our toast and ice cream. Overall loved it and I would highly suggest anything. It’d also all very shareable portions!

Shaved ice doesnt sound exciting but dont let the description fool you. I AM serves creamy wonderfulness in a bowl! And they call their other specialty toast but it is unlike any toast I have ever experienced before. Its like a French toast souflé cake made from light, gooey, crispy bliss! YOU MUST TRY THIS.Also, the servers were awesome. We went for my husbands birthday and they made a special presentation and sang! Good job, peeps!

Wow so delicious and the aesthetic is wonderful! Everything seems so cute and well put together. The honest toast mixed with the ice cream was delicious and I wish this dessert was more common! Also, I wish the sweetness of the bread sunk a bit deeper, because sometimes it felt like eating just plain bread, but mix it with the ice cream and 👌Overall, kinda pricey, but delicious and well worth it!

Definitely an interesting twist on ice cream. Its not creamy but has a light cotton candy-like experience eating it. I enjoy it better than the rolled ice cream thats popping up. Like I said, dont expect real dairy type ice cream... Unless you get the I Am Simple [Honey Toast Ice Creme]... DAMN.

Incredible Thai ice cream! This is so light and delicious. I know some may find this heretical, but I believe it’s better than ice cream. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The flavors are some of the most delicious ice cream. They are very shareable for a few friends. Would highly recommend

Came here on a whim. This place has a variety of desserts such as Thai ice cream, green tea, fruit loops, Oreo, chocolate. The portion was large which was great but it wasn’t heavy, very light. I favored the ambiance and the restrooms were very clean. I highly recommend this dessert cafe. Single, dating, married or family this place is great!

Cant believe that OP has this amazing dessert place that I questioned myself, why didnt I knew about it before? 😳 We ordered two shaved ice creams: one was cookies and cream and the other one was coffee. Both were delish! We also tried their beverages and that too did not dissapoint. We ordered the thai espresso and the one with the ice cream tastes like affogato. The only difference is that it was served cold. Overall, love this place. IG worthy on top of that.

Very unsatisfied with their business choices. They cant manage an internal supply chain to keep hot items in sufficient m stock. If you call, they will tell you they have that flavor, but when you arrive, they are out. Again. They cant figure out how to take phone orders.The ice cream used to be good, but all these poor choices on their part means well never be back.

I highly recommend visiting! I have no idea what I ate, something ice creamy, but there is no doubt in my mind that anyone would not like what they have on menu. Prices are high but the portions are generous and the staff are very professional.

Came here after it was recommended by a friend. Their description did not prepare us for how amazing these deserts were. The servings are huge, probably enough for 3 or 4 people. We got the I am Joyful, which is a cinnamon toast crunch flavor and it was spot on. Super interesting texture and flavor, very light and almost flaky shaved ice cream with crumbled cinnamon toast crunch and brown sugar on top. Highly recommend.

Closest to you is the shaved berry cheesecake which was delicious, light and refreshing. The honey an almond honey toast...I cannot remember the name of it but it doesnt matter. ANY OF IT IS AMAZING. This is from now hence forth my favorite dessert. The outside has a light crisp crust. The inside, best as I can even begin to explain is a combination of angel food cake, Indian fry bread, sour dough and french toast. Without a doubt the best dessert Ive ever had. 100%!

Their desserts are the best! It taste soo good. The only concerning thing about this place is sanitation. I went here couple times and was never disappointed with their desserts, but every time I went the place looked unclean. Even in times where there was not a lot of customers, the tables were not cleaned, the floor as well. So if youre someone who looks around about sanitation, I recommend take out from there as staying in might be little unclean.

This place was AMAZING!!! The dessert was eloquently placed on the servering dish and presented with such grace. Two people can share one dessert they are that big! We will definitely be back to try the other options.

Weve been here once before, and decided to make a special trip out tonight for my daughters birthday. We were pleasantly surprised to find the place completely empty, all to ourselves. There was no one there when we got there or during our time eating. Despite being deserted, the entire front area where we sat was pretty disgusting. There were entire cookie pieces on the floor, crumbs and sticky drops on every single surface, the pillows were plastered with globs of goo, and a piece of trim from the sofa was on the floor. Since it was not busy at all and an hour before closing, I wouldve expected the staff to have cleaned or be cleaning the lobby area - but it didnt look like it had been touched in a very long time and the staff retreated back to the kitchen after placing and delivering our order. This is such a cute place but I was extremely uncomfortable regarding the stores cleanliness, especially during these COVID times when I would expect a cleaning after each customer.

Portions are big however $8-$9 for a lot of ice and syrup with a few pieces of cheesecake is not worth it. However the toast is very good but the green tea ice cream lacked flavor

The ice is a different texture than any shave ice I have had before. Of course very light and fluffy but it looks either flaky (on the mango flavor) or a puffy shredded (?) Texture on strawberry and Oreo. The honey bread is INCREDIBLE and is so light I could eat a whole loaf. Will be returning!

People who have never tried this type of shaved ice would oogle over it. But these are cery common Asian desert in asia for alot cheaper prices with lot more fresh ingredients on it. The pics attached are samples of the same type of shaved ice people get in asia or California wuth fresh fruits and lots of toppings. A few sprinkle of almonds and a dollup of whip cream is an insult to this delectable dessert.

Never had this unique dessert dish before and I love it! Its a unique treat whenever Im in the KC area. Light and airy ice cream that melts in your mouth. I love the orea on and the people I brought with me loved the coffee one.

Ive been to South Korea twice and fell in love with Bing Su, the traditional shaved ice dessert, there. I love the traditional flavor but I also loved trying the fun modern flavored versions! A good portion of this menu was like the modern fusion Bing Su bowls! So good!I had the coconut and... so.stinking.amazing!! So nice and light and fluffy! Asian shaved ice is a million times more superior than American shaved ice.

My friend decided to treat me to some ice cream here and I have never had anything like it. The texture and appearance looks nothing like ice cream but it tastes exactly like what is described. Not finishing it all would be a crime.Being a finicky eater i am not easily impressed but with I Am Frozen Desert Cafe... im amazed
