Brian was so helpful, from listening to what I was looking for, what I needed, and then adding helpful information to help fill in the gaps. Had me try out a few then narrow it down to something both in my comfort level and price range. Set up delivery and made sure I had everything I needed to be set up for years of good sleep!

We have been in the store many times and everyone has been so nice and polite. We tried many beds each time. Finally found the right one. We love the 120 days guarantee. Although calling John at the Corbin Park store, whom easily and professionally resolved my matters, frankly, I am still shocked at what I experienced at the Overland Park store tonight. After spending close to $8,000 in this store to have some of the worst Customer service from whomever the Manager at this store on Tuesday Oct 13th 7:30pm. It was one of the worst experiences Ive had to date. So poor that I ended up loosing my cool and demanding some actual solutions and help, not just hearing how it cant be done and how he had no data. I not only got no apology, but he started yelling back at me which forced me to hang up and call another store, John at Corbin Park, who then very kindly and nicely filled in the missing data I needed and offered multiple options for me. So, ask for John or my original sales manager, Daniel C.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the products we looked at, they even had knowledge about products they didn’t carry. Had a great experience shopping for a mattress here - I walked in and was impressed how they clearly identify if the beds are soft or firm. Not a great experience. The sales team was very pushy and not completely helpful. I ended up paying for delivery (I live on the third floor)when my memory foam mattress was delivered it was the size of a rolled up sleeping bad and weighed probably 20lbs. Thanks for the heads up on that guys lol, totally could have saved the 60 bucks and just put it in the back of my car.

In summation, I visited about 6 different stores, speaking about the same bed with around 10 different salesman - I never saw the same salesman twice at the same store, ever. The bad news is that there was absolutely no consistency: one store said this price, another said that, and so on, with each assuring me that they were doing me a HUGE favor. It was wildly different prices, from $250 difference, to $1000 difference. It smelled like a sucker was cooking, and it was a familiar barbecue. When I finally got fed up with the introductory sales and greeting shtick they vomit when you arrive, I just bluntly asked how much for this bed right through the door. It became a very hostile environment almost immediately, and the salesman became very offended by my bluntness - this ended with me just leaving the store because he was so hostile. It was weird seeing the altruistic veil slide down his face, and the car salesman underneath show his true colors. Anyway, it was a pretty horrible experience, and when I finally made the deal, they overcharged me. When I asked them to fix it, I gave them 2 weeks to do so. When there was still a small discrepancy, I asked whats the deal, and they told me I wasnt getting that back, and if I had anymore issues, they will gladly pick up the mattress. I got my money back, thanks to a district manager stepping in, but I dont think I would ever buy a mattress from Mattress Firm again. It is too ambiguous. Essentially you ask, how much? And they say, What do you think sounds good? If someone says something like that, youll never know if you got overcharged: Classic used car scenario. I was told at least 5 times, from 5 different salesman - in a month and a half of shopping - I dont necessarily NEED to sell you this mattress. I could just as well keep it, as opportunity costs far outweigh JUST GIVING it to you. Translation: Someone dumber and with less patience and concern for giving money away than you will just walk in and buy that mattress for sticker price, so I need all the beds I can carry, and you are just not the kind of customer that keeps the lights on in such the commission business that this is. I personally have no animosity towards mattress firm; I knew after the first interaction that this was going to be horrible; it seems it is the nature of the mattress business - what with the same exact bed, different name per retailer, ambiguous terminology at specific retailers (the diamond plush series with organic bunny-tail inserts), etc...This is merely my experience. I do not recommend shopping for a mattress in general. Then the delivery guys brought the wrong mattress, so they carried it back to their truck, and 45 minutes later brought mine in and dropped it in, and promptly left. Strange experience. It really isnt any different anywhere else though. Do your due diligence, or just go to mattress firm and buy a tempurpedic; no ambiguity there, because theyre not allowed to.

All of my dealings with Mattress Firm has been positive, but the most recent was particularly good. I had a warranty issue with Tempur-pedic, and needed to go to Mattress Firm to pick out a replacement mattress. This is an important point because there was no opportunity for a sale, and I told the salesperson that right up front. However, that didnt matter at all to Kendall.Kendall was ready and waiting for us when we walked through the door (I told him by phone about when I thought we would be there), and already selected which mattresses he thought would best meet our needs. Since a good nights sleep is important to us, we tried out about a half a dozen mattresses, and as I should have expected, we ended up selecting the one Kendall originally suggested as his first choice.Kendall isnt only a true professional, but it was also clear that he loves his job, and is very respectful of his company.
