I dont normally write reviews but I wanted to take a second to write one for McCarthy Honda. I went to multiple auto repair shops to get my car diagnosed and no one could figure out my problem. I spent so much money on it too. I finally took it to Honda and they helped me figure it out and solved the mystery. Every single person I dealt with there was absolutely amazing, especially the service manager. So happy!!!

First And foremost the employee Leon is the goat. He made sure I got what I wanted and didn’t hassle me to get a sale. He made me and my wife feel comfortable and welcome. He was professional and efficient while also being down to earth. Just for his service alone I would recommend this dealership!

Leon was fantastic!! He made buying a car a good experience. He was down to earth and very kind, not pushy nor gave you the feeling he only cared about the sale. I would recommend this dealership mainly due to him. Everyone else I encountered was nice as well.

Starting my shopping experience on the web. Found the Honda model and package I wanted at McCarthy. Gerardo Santos was the sales representative who contacted me. As we negotiated the terms of the sale, he was very courteous, thorough and professional. No hype, just respect and attention to detail. I can say you will get the attention you need if you connect with Gerardo.

Jordan Knoll, Leon, and all the staff at Honda of OP were helpful and patient with the process of choosing the best car for our family. It took 3 visits, research, and a couple of test drives before we made our final choice. Jordan and Leon were able to answer all of our questions and provide me with helpful website links comparing different cars and their trim levels. Jaime was very efficient finalizing paperwork. The one thing we wished was that they had offered what we asked for our trade-in vehicle. In addition, the AC in my brand new car wasn’t working initially, so the car delivery was delayed. However, Leon and his team ensured the AC was fixed and running well prior delivery. Other than those, we had a great experience. I’m loving my new Honda Pilot!

Our salesman Abraham was very low pressure, which was wonderful after two weeks of car shopping. The sales manager Jamie was extremely personable and sold us a few add-on packages, but nothing that we felt was unnecessary or not a good value. Lastly, Customer care rep Annie was quick to ensure our car shopping went smooth for us. We ended up finding a brand new car that was the same price as many comparable used ones!

Out of all the cars we have bought over the years the easiest and best experience we have had was at McCarthy Honda! Shout out to our salesman Ray- he was exceptional on answering our questions and showing us all about the vehicle we bought!! Very efficient process when it came to signing all the paperwork!!

I want to share my positive experience with McCarthy Honda of Overland Park on 7/19 and 7/20. It was clear to me from the beginning that they have a team that works well together. Annie and Michael took my initial inquiry and found answers fast. Annie even nice enough to send me answers late at night when I was up looking for cars. Dove the sales representative was extremely nice, and calm throughout the whole process, even taking the time to unpack a car off the truck to give me another choice. Finally with the financing, working with Jamie was great. He took my input and led me straight to the best available options, cutting right through all the rest that didn’t apply to my situation. I’d recommend this team to anyone.

This place has a good customer service. It’s just pricey for parts and labor.

Jordan Knoll was good. I had some initial concerns about the vehicle prior to purchasing (brakes) that they said they would address. I purchased the vehicle with the expectation that all was good. Took it to my nearest Toyota and they said the calipers were seizing. I had to pay extra money to have them replaced along with rotors and pads in front and rear as they were not safe according to Toyota. I don’t trust nor believe they did the “safety inspection” they claimed they did at McCarthy. I followed up with them to see if they could help cover some of the costs since I brought it up before the sale. It’s been 4 weeks and haven’t heard from anyone. As on now, McCarthy has lost my business moving forward. Hope this review helps someone make an informed decision.

Joey Miller was helpful gave me options and was able to negotiate to better serve me. He was great with communicating & helping me better understand how things work! I wasn’t there for too long, he was able to get me in and out in a timely manner. Also the financing guy was nice and worked really fast through the financing process.

My sales person, Dove Thompson was very good. She was professional and friendly. I am very happy with my Honda Accord.

I do not know the name of the person who signed me in on Saturday but he was of perhaps Asian. A very friendly person who I would gave a five star rating. The service was excellent and I would like the same person to help me the next time I come in.

Purchased a new car on 8/3/21 and want to say how much I actually enjoyed the process due to a friendly, accommodating salesman by the name of Gerardo Santos. Gerardo went above and beyond to help me get acquainted with new the technology on the vehicle. Since I had a scheduled appliance delivery, he even brought the car to my home so I could test drive. Bought a car here recently from Blake, he was extremely pushy and obviously just wanted a sale… overcharged on the vehicle I purchased plus not even a month after purchasing, the suv starts making noises when being driven…I call and drive 40 minutes for them to look at the car just for my salesman to tell it was all because of a low key fob battery…I leave the lot and don’t even get out of it before I hear the noise again so I call back just to have to make another appointment 3 days later… Not at all happy with my experience or sales person. Would not recommend.

I called for an appointment and asked for an appointment the next day; a Saturday. My AC was not cooling. I dropped off my car to get it diagnosed thinking a part may need to be ordered. I needed a new compressor and it was replaced. My car was out of warranty by 16 days and Pippo contacted the Honda rep. They honored the warranty; replacing the compressor at no cost to me. Thank you Pippo for going over and above your position and taking excellent care of this customer.

A master of his craft, Joey will listen to your needs and wants and be able to recommend the vehicle which meets that list. Joey was not a stereotypical salesman, no pressure to buy or tricks to get us inside - simply informative on what we needed to know and got us on our way.

I hit a truck tire tread. Brought it to service. Shop looked at it, recommended $2,000 worth of unrelated work, and charged me $200 just for the diagnosis. I wont ever be back. ONeill was better.

I am new to buying cars through a dealership. I dont have parents that can walk through this process with me, so I am left with doing this on my own. I always had a junker that was paid in cash. I tried to get something nicer for myself. I dont feel that their staff was very good in helping me understand the process of buying a car, how financing would work, and what would be my better options. They are a business and looking out for themselves. They are not out to make sure that a woman trying to buy a car for herself is getting the information they need to make a good decision. I dont recommend going to McCarthy Honda if youre a first time buy and dont know what to look for.

Bought a car last month (06/05/21). Had purchased additional warranties during the purchase. After reading thru those warranty clauses later, decided to cancel all the warranties. Tried reaching the finance team multiple times but either no one answers or never call back after putting multiple voice messages. Almost 2 weeks I tried to reach the finance team with no luck. Tried in person, however ended up waiting for an hour. Im going to go there again today and see whether I will have some resolution. Not going to recommend them to anyone.06/24: still no response on the cancellation. No adjustment done on the overall payment amount. However, they started deducting monthly payment.08/10: No update. Loan amount remains same. No adjustment made yet. So I believe the cancellation request has not been processed yet.09/10: I talked to the customer service at the dealership and they asked me to call the loan provider about the cancellation, which I did and i was told they never received a cancellation request and i was asked to talk to the warranty provider. I called the warranty provider and they informed that they never received any cancellation request from the dealership. So the warranties are still active to this date. They suggested to submit a force cancellation of the warranties if the dealership is not helping with it. So finally I went ahead and submitted a force cancellation request to the warranty provider. I hope my experience will help future buyers from this place on warranty cancellation.

We bought our new 2015 Honda Pilot from here. This dealership is the best experience we have had in a long time. We got to the dealership with 30 minutes until closing. They stayed late for us on a Friday night and that was so awesome. Thanks again to Rod and Lee who helped us with our new SUV.

Beware that if you want to buy a new car they will add a required McCarthy Honda Assurance plan to your deal whether you want it or not... So whatever new car youre looking at online right now, add $1k to the price. 👎 This is not a standard fee, it is specific to this dealership. Btw admin fees (which are to be expected) are $599 here. I asked for a better value on my trade in and they literally removed the sale price to increase my trade in value, wrote it down on paper in a different way, and gained me no ground whatsoever... So youll also need to watch to make sure they do not fudge the sale price to sweeten the deal on your trade. Go to a place that will be upfront and honest with you- this isnt it.

Asked for a quote for my trade in. Leon, the used car manager, texted and said he would give me 31k if I came in today. I asked if that price was firm and didnt get a response for five hours. Called because I wanted to make sure the price was good before I drove a half hour. Called and Leon was a jerk. He changed the price to 29k. Belligerent on the phone. If I wouldnt have called, I would have gotten to the dealership and found out the price had changed. They try to get you in the door and then change everything on you. Steer clear of this dealership!

Car Salesman Bob was clearly very invested in his paycheck and his paycheck only. I looked at a nicely priced CR-V perfect for my budget, and had half the cost of the car total ready as down payment. Apparently that isnt enough to walk out with a sold car. He told me he couldnt finance the final 50% of a 10k car but could put me in a new 15k car with WAY higher interest. How thoughtful! I also didnt much appreciate running my credit without my approval. Would have drove out with a new car today but instead I left with nothing, and will go to another dealership that values customers needs, not their wallets.

Great service!! I had a breakdown and after Roadside Assist gave me a jumpstart it was determined I needed a new battery. I called the Honda dealership and talked to Chris. Chris told me to come on down and he would get me taken care of quickly. Not only did Chris get me in quickly, he discovered a recall on my transmission and took care of that problem too. This was more thorough service than buying a new battery at the parts store and the price of my battery was the same as the parts store. To top everything off, McCarthy even washed my car!!Very pleased customer of McCarthy Honda!

I recently purchased a vehicle, thinking it was going to be fun, but no Mccarthy Honda made it the worst experience every. I had one of there workers tell me you should had a guy come with you to purchase a car. They have been disrespect by calling me annoying( by their manager) and picky ( sales person). They have also taken advantage of me by selling a bad car, that was at their shop for about 3 weeks after I got it.  I dont recommend this place. Next time I will go to carmax instead of them

I highly recommend checking out McCarthy Honda. They have great inventory and our salesman Leon Hernandez was super personable and clear. He listened to what we wanted and delivered excellent customer service. You could tell he genuinely loved his job and has a passion to do his best. The manager Joey Lewis was very friendly and also helpful. He does an excellent job running the store. The business manager Megan was very friendly and welcoming. She wasn’t pushy and answered questions very clearly . This was my first time buying a car from McCarthy Honda but I will be telling my friends. Please go take a look you might just leave with a car like I did.Also, the customer care team member Annie was nice to follow up and check on my experience.

Have had my Honda CR-V serviced here since I bought in 2018 and have always had a top-notch experience. The service techs give you all the details you need and do a thorough job making sure everything is taken care of. The wait time is reasonable and they keep you informed of their progress. They have a great waiting area with wifi and desks so its like I never left the office. If you own a Honda, this is the place to go!

I wanted to shared our experience with ONeill and the best Salesman Chris Galvan that got us an early Christmas gift to us before we got on the road with a car that was having issues. He met us on the showroom floor and told us he was new and would answer all our questions and be there to help if we need assistance. He help us get our 3rd Honda from the dealership that we drive only too to get our service done and its a one hour drive to come here but they are the best Honda dealership in the area. Again he just called us to make sure all was great and we know Chris will be our new sales person for years to come!

My experience with McCarthy Honda was one of the best I’ve ever had. The service advisor Pippo truly had my best interest in finding out what was wrong with my SUV. When it’s my only mode of transportation for me and my kids. I needed someone honest and efficient, because I depend on my vehicle. I called them once 3 weeks ago about a vehicle that they had for sale. It was spoken for and they said that they would let me know for sure if it sold. I had to call them back 3 times asking about it. They have been calling me almost daily asking if Im still in the market for a vehicle. Even after I blocked their number. Harassing

Great Service! My Service Advisor Chris was wonderful to work with. He kept me advised on my car and when an unexpected but necessary repair was needed, he explained the situation and showed me pictures of the damaged part. All costs were provided up front so there were no surprises and when the repairs were going to take longer than I had anticipated, Chris arranged for transportation. My vehicle is running great! I would highly recommend!

I have taken my 2020 pilot here twice for service on the recall for the speaker/CarPlay malfunctions. The first time was in November 2020, before the recall was put out for the issues I was having. It remedies the situation for a few months but the issues with the speakers popping and crackling began happening again. In April I received the recall notice, so I took it to another dealership and they were unable to do the repair because it wouldn’t malfunction for them while they had it, and McCarthy had recorded that they had already completed the recall repair. Two months go by and the problems worsened, so I took it back to McCarthy in June 2021 and explained that I was still having problems and attempted to have it fixed elsewhere but they wouldn’t do it because this dealership already recorded that they did all necessary repairs. They fix it per the recall instructions and the service tech called me to let me know that “the other dealership only replaced half of the plugs that were necessary for the recall.” I told him the other dealership never touched it because MCCARTHY were the ones that did the literal half-a$sed repair. He apologized and said he hopes everything is to my satisfaction this time. Fast forward to a month later, July 2021, and my speakers just began malfunctioning again. I will never return to this dealership for service.

Chris was very polite and professional when I arrived at the service center. He’s also aware of the car’s status and kept me updated on when will the car be fixed. Desiree was very courteous in providing a ride home. I would like commend both Chris and Desiree for a job well done! Also give kudos to Johnny who took care of placing my appointment when I called service department. Thank you Honda McCarthy!

Worst experience in years!!I took my car to service, they did not communicate to me all the changes my car need, the link they sent to my mobile dint had all the req services my car needed. I just approved one what ever it showed in the link.But when I took print out of service report in end, I saw other req services which needed my approval and no one notified me.The guy who took care of my car never informed be about them.. pathetic communication.
