I apologise in advance but I must gone into the wrong Cafe this morning. I was looking for a cold brew coffee which is not that difficult to make. I know because I make it at my home typically but had ran out this morning. I give it 3.5 because the staff were nice but 1 🌟 star for no cold brew.

Black Spring Coffee has been my go to choice for coffee for the last 3+ years. The coffee is sourced from India and is as nice and strong as it ought to be. I like the staff and owner (Ryan) a lot.Some say that its lack of decor and WiFi aren’t selling points. I beg to differ, it’s about the coffee and lack of clattering keyboards from strangers. It is a great neighborhood cafe!As an aside, xfinity wifi is available to those who have that capability. And all pastries served are vegan. Nom nom nom!

BEST VEGAN DONUTS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!! My goodness. I was in SF for only 5 days and I ate 5 of these donuts while I was there. The fluffiness is amazing. I loved the maple donut with custard filling. But they didnt have it the next time I went which was the biggest downfall. Love that everything is fresh but also really wanted that same donut. Coffee was good too.

My favorite in town, a great place to write, socialize, and the best owners ever. Trendy place without being snobby or impersonal. Check it out...you wont be disappointed. Also very reasonably priced, well made coffees and teas. Ask, they probably have a good suggestion for your fare. Just love it. 10 stars if I could.

EXCELLENT COFFEE SHOP!!! The first time I came in, I ordered only to realize I lost my debit card somewhere along the way, and the man who took my order told me not to worry about it, and that I could pay next time. On top of the kind service, the shop has a cute, simple, and calm vibe- not to mention FANTASTIC coffee! I strongly recommend the mocha, but the breve is amazing for those who like a stronger drink. Big tips for these guys, always!

The space was nice, but the baristas didnt even know what kind of coffee they were serving. For $2+ for a quick cup you would think they would at least know something like that. The quick cup coffee was also so hot it not only burnt me, it was burnt itself.Im tired of gentrifying cafes that are expensive and dont even provide quality.

Really fantastic, the gentleman working the counter, who I believe was the owner, was incredibly kind and friendly. The place has very cool minimalist decor and great music (Bill Withers deep tracks when I was there). But most importantly, CLEVER COFFEE IS THE GREATEST COFFEE I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. Could not give this place a higher recommendation. F*** Starbucks, support a small business.

Its a coffee shop. Its good, but not great. The atmosphere is odd, it kind of felt like walking into a front, giving a sense that I shouldnt actually be there unless I was there for the *real* product. There were tables with no chairs, weird open/unused space, strange lighting. But Im *pretty* sure its just a normal coffee shop.It certainly has potential to be a nice place with some time and thought put into the physical space. I just moved into a new place not far from here, so Im hoping it gets that needed attention.

Delicious mochas. Friendly owner. A great local coffee shop from a converted flower shop in an old building with plenty of charm. Music selection is usually excellent (definitely independent coffee house vs. Muzak at your local coffee chain). Thumbs up to Bauhaus and other old school selections.

A great coffee shop with a great staff. Their very local and community oriented, hosting art and people from the town. Coffee is top notch and the vegan pastries are decent. Ive had more of their iced americanos than I care to admit.

Very tasty (but not snobby) coffee and (when they havent run out) very delicious fudgy brownies (which are vegan). Id describe the seating as cafeteria style, and when Ive been there always available seats.

Not somewhere to go if you want to get work done because theres no wifi. My iced latte was gross, and the whole shop was dirty and not inviting. Very strange pictures on the walls. Go to Blue Bottle or Bicycle Coffee for better coffee.

Black Spring is better than five stars. Everything was great -- the coffee, the art, the service, the various amenities --- AND ... get this .... its an olde refurbished florist shoppe so it has a vintage tile floor. So a rollerskater like me can skate around like NO PLACE ELSE. And of course Black Spring is hip enough that nobody is going to say You cant skate here. Come in and look around and see if you dont agree with me that this is pretty much what you would have in mind if you were trying to come up with what would a Temple of Coffee be like?

Coffee is 5 stars. They actually serve Indian coffee (e.g. Monsoon Medley) which is super smooth low acid coffee, even from a brew pot! Unfortunately, decor and tables are minimal for a cafe of its size and no WiFi. But thats not why youre there right?

Who needs wifi anyway? This place rules. It’s not too crowded. Espresso is delicious. Baristas are super cool and nice to people. Chairs and tables have a rockin style. I wasn’t sure about the vibe when I first walked in, but trust me, come here with your book and computer for an internet-free session, stay for a while, leave feeling accomplished and caffeinated (because you didn’t mess around on the internet) and you’ll love the vibe too. Music is played not too loud, not too soft.

Good coffee and chai. The ambiance was almost third world which was nice. The opposite of Starbucks, et al.

The staff is always friendly and the coffee isis delicious. The morning barista has the prefect voice /volume that I need before 8AM.

Last I checked they dont offer Wi-Fi, which may account for why this cafe seems always to be empty. Its a huge space and its hard to see it underutilized. The tea is not that high a quality, Mighty Leaf, I believe. The coffee is just okay. Theres no ambiance or coziness.I was so excited fit this cafe to open and the owner is super nice, but I dont think its living up to its potential.

Good selection of tea as well as good coffee. Reminds me of the coffee shops I used to hang out in during the early 90s in Chicago and St. Louis. Before the internet destruction of society!

Not crowded on a random weekday morning, decent atmosphere, coffee just ok. I got a cappuccino that was more of a macchiato and it was so hot that I had to wait 15 mins before it wouldnt burn me. If youre into being a hipster youll like it, if youre into coffee go somewhere else.
