The best fabric to do whatever you like

Surprised by the level of negative reviews about the owner. Walked in just as he was closing up and he still spent a good 20 minutes with me, helping me make a piece of fabric I feel in love with work for my purposes (and giving me a steep discount for the end of the bolt). Super helpful and friendly owner. I will definitely be back

The owner was really pushy. He told me that the faux suede fabric is 25 by yard. Then when he took my card，he just kept his back to me and wouldnt let me see what price he punched in. Then I saw the receipt was 62 dollars. He then said the fabric was 38 by yard. Do not go if you are not in a hurry，I found the exact same fabric for 12 on etsy.

Sam is super helpful a d has a good eye. They have Everything from leather to Vynal to cottons!

Overpriced fabric, 200% higher than retail prices; got scammed by the Italian owner on top of the high price, charged me extra when previously told the price, looking for all kinds of excuses to overcharge. Horrible store

Shop manager (the old Iranian guy) was very rude to both myself and some younger customers who were looking to shop for dress fabrics. He said are you going to buy anything, or what? When they were still deciding on what fabric and price.I was looking through his extensive selection of fur scraps. Initially he was helpful, but towards the end of my maybe 20 minute visit, he said you asking too many questions! I have migraine and cant deal with it. Now what fur you like?. I had asked him maybe no more than four questions about what kind of fur I was holding, and what the price was. The other employees couldnt answer my question about fur type; only he could. So I dont understand what I did to tick him off. I immediately put back what I was looking at, and left. Not going back.Also he said, when I asked him how long hed been open, we move here last week which is a lie. And one of the employees acted nervous around me and asked if I was a cop.

The woman that worked there was extremely helpful! And I guess from all the negative reviews, the owner changed his attitude. When I met him, he was really nice. This store has beautiful fabric in stock

I needed over 10 yards of light pink faux fur for a client and they had exactly what I needed in stock at a reasonable price. They were easy to deal with - not sure what all the negative google reviews are about. I dealt with Sam and he was courteous and professional. I’ll go back in the future.

You can find very good fabrics at great deals they are very helpful and nice

The owner was very rude and dishonest. Dishonest prices and tries to trick you by cutting the fabrics shorter. That kind of business does not last. Also has a useless attitude to potential customers. Will probably close soon, stay away! There are so many better options close by.

BEWARE!!! Enter this place at YOUR OWN RISK OF PUBLIC HUMILIATION and HARASSMENT.ZERO STARS. Never in my whole life have I come across such a NASTY person who happens to be the thin older man that the other reviews talk about aka Saeed Mounessa.I (unfortunately) step into the store, because I was in the area, without checking the reviews. After looking around, the owner miscommunicated the price of a particular fabric to me. Thats ok, misunderstandings happen and I was ready to move past it, but the guy wouldnt stop. He started off saying I shouldve had the common sense to KNOW that thats not what he meant! Then three times he said: Im not stupid to give you this fabric for that price. I never ASKED him to give it to me at that price! I just dont want the fabric at all. (To make it clear, I never bargained with him to begin with. He himself offered a lower price). I was still ok and ready to buy the other fabric but no, he still wouldnt stop. So I walked out of the store after saying neither of us is stupid so its ok, thank you. I was already a few feet away from the store on the PAVEMENT, when he opened the door behind me and started cursing me!I stormed down the street when I realized Id left my umbrella behind. So I decided to go back, just pick up the umbrella and run back out so no one has to face anyone. Tough luck for me. I just about grabbed my umbrella, when he pounced on me, cursing me again. Another employee who was very friendly earlier, was standing behind the owner and frantically and repeatedly gesturing to me (to call the cops? To leave? I didnt understand).I asked him why he started swearing at me when I did nothing, said nothing? Then the owner grabbed me by the arm and started yelling at me to get out! Outraged by now, I broke free and brandished my umbrella, threatening to hit him. And THAT stopped the charging bull. He stepped away and shut up. I walked out shaking and am still contemplating reporting him.I think he has serious anger issues and has NO idea what basic decency and good behavior means. His is a good looking store which is why I walked in unsuspectingly. If he treats customers this TERRIBLY, I wonder who buys from him to keep his business running!!!Today is Christmas Eve and Hanukkah. So much for the holiday spirit.

Worst store in garment district. Old Iranian guy is too pushy, and misbehaved. Dishonest too. If you buy 3 yards, he would measure 2.5 yard only. Avoid this store.
