This is not about this particular shop but about the brand in general. Somebody please do something about this chain store. My daughter dragged me into the shop to get new clothes. All the clothes are only one sized and only suitable for, either girls that still didnt made the change or anorexic ones. When I refused to buy anything to her in such place because I didnt find it right, she replied that fat people should find their own store, that BM was only for thin people. We had one of our greatest quarrels and she left the shop in tears. Of course without anything.

The workers were super helpful and let me try on everything. I got so many cute clothes and I’m definitely coming again! Super cheap prices too :)

Employees will pick and choose who to assist. do not come here. if u are a tall skinny blonde then this is the store for u and the employees with treat u with kindness but other than that they will be super rude to u. if u choose to support this brand ur better off shopping online instead!

I don’t know what all the other reviews are about in terms of rude employees. Ive come here multiple times and the girls are usually pretty nice. They probably get annoyed when it’s busy bc the store is so small and they’re constantly restocking/ having to move clothes but I would be annoyed too lmfao. Also I don’t even fit the demographic, I’m usually the curviest girl in the store at any given time but everyone is still so kind and helpful. And they do change the clothes often!! Which is so bad for my bank 😔 This one is (IMO) way better than the soho one. The soho one has the rudest security officers

It was ok, the tall blonde employee wouldn’t look me in the eye and wasn’t very friendly the other one at least greeted us. Overall it was ok the employees just made it feel a little judgmental. I’ve heard the one in soho is better!

When i visited this store a few months ago, i really liked the experience. the store carried a lot of cute items and it was very clean. the workers were helpful and asked us if everything was alright and if we needed help finding something. overall, i would visit this store many more times!

One employee was super sweet and helped me find some of the obscure things I asked for. I think she was wearing green pants but that’s all I remember.

Came all the way here in the pouring rain just for it to be closed. Please don’t say your store is open online just for the doors to be locked

I went to this brandy yesterday 20 minutes before closing and the employees were nice and didn’t try to rush us or anything. I went to the bigger brandy (in Broadway) two days ago and I had a good experience with both of them. I got a bunch of stickers too!!!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Heather and Emma treated us so well, very attentive to all the customers.. They were also very willing to help everyone and anyone who needed it/asked!! We spent about an hour or so in the store and not once felt uncomfortable, very helpful and kind in every aspect!! We never felt ignored or not noticed, great conversations made at the register also.. Another thing that we thought was extremely generous of them was that when Heather saw I was looking through the stickers, she gave me a WHOLE bag full of them to take home to decorate a suitcase/computer.. If you have the chance to visit this store PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go!! You will not be let down!!:)

Horrible experience, they accused me of stealing when i wasnt, i was putting a pair of jeans on the shelf and one of the workers told the security to watch me a specifically and pointed at me. i felt very judged in that store, and when me and my friend went to the fitting rooms the girls in the back ignored the customers and where very judge mental. specifically naming (Anna) she was a horrible worker and made most people in the store feel poorly about themself, overall i DO NOT recommend this brandy and the space is very small and it is a disgusting store with a bunch of clothes all over the place.

Rude staff that objectifies female customers. My daughter loves this brand but I don’t know if she realizes this supports something evil and bigger if the staff doesn’t respect its customers. The quality of the clothes are great. Design is friendly and cute; but the staff in this store need to better brand ambassadors and treat all customers with respect. Customers also have to realize that the brands one size fits all is really tailoring to a specific demographic. It’s not fair but not everything in this world is fair.

Employees didn’t greet you or ask you questions when you came in (which I personally don’t mind). It was a little hard to distinguish employees from customers, but some employees were folding clothes. When I asked one a question, she was very helpful.I found the employees to be fine. They were not rude in my opinion.However, the store is disorganized and it is hard to find a specific item from online because the tags don’t have the names. They don’t have that much in stock. You would have to ask an employee.

My first time entering a brandy melville store and it was okay i guess but the store was really small with not much room. There were boxes everywhere with messy clothes inside. They didnt have many clothes to buy that were iconic brandy clothes they had very basic things like a basic green short sleeve. Dont really recommend this location I would go to a larger brandy instead . But the staff was pretty nice.

I went in for an interview and I had all qualifications however I believe I didnt get the job because they only want certain looking people working here. Its a very shallow store and if you look like a model, theyll hire you if you dont have experience. Stop taking retail so seriously to the point where youll only hire people who have the Brandy Melville look and people will like this store better.

The Broadway location is the biggest and busiest with the most selection but this one definitely isnt as crowded as the 3 in Soho.

The shop is small, I mean SMALL, but the staff are so helpful and nice and they did somehow manage to squeeze in dressing rooms!

Once I actually figured out who the staff were and who the shoppers were (based on their behaviour its impossible to tell just from typical retail cues) I was dumbfounded by their total lack of regard for any kind of positive customer interaction. Staff spend my entire 25 minute time in store trying on clothes, LEAVING STORE to take pictures in said clothes outside, repeatedly walked past me as I waited for a change room so they could change/grab new items for themselves, and carried on a whole conversation while checking me out without looking me in the eyes once. Clearly the management didnt care enough to train them to do otherwise as based on other reviews this is a standard experience and none of the employees are concerned about their job security. Tried on 5 items and liked them all but only bought the one specific new york sweater because Id rather pick up the rest later in either an Ottawa or Toronto location where the staff is actually worth supporting. Although if anyone knows what they spray on the clothes to make them smell like sunscreen its amazing and EVERYTHING smells like it. even after wearing it a whole day.

First, the costs of each piece of clothing in the store is probably no more than $100. Second, the location of this store and many other Brandy Melvilles are very popular, its all around the world! Theres Brandy Melvilles in America, Hong Kong, Korea, and many other countries. Third, the look and quality of the clothes in Brandy Melville are just to die for! The clothes are trendy, cute, and stylish! At the same time, their clothes are also very soft and comfortable! Lastly, the services at Brandy Melville are excellent, friendly. The workers help with your choice of clothes and would often come check on you every 10 minutes. Shopping at Brandy Melville was definitely a fun experience and you should definitely try shopping at Brandy Melville!

I was there on a Tuesday in January of 2019, very crammed store, shelves were blocked by loads of boxes, but I could live with that. However, the girl at the dressing rooms was very judgemental and rude, shed look at you up and down to try to figure you out. Mind you, I was not dressed poorly when I came into the store and left with purchases, yet was still treated almost like an inferiority by the employee. Girl at cashier was very helpful and sweet.

The store is really small so not a large selection but the workers were pretty nice to us even tho my friend said they were b*tchy the last time she came in. I’m asian btw lol.

Neatly organized. Most items are one size only. Store clerks allow you to shop without interruption. Most clothing items are one size only which is perfect if you are shopping in a hurry.

They thought i was stealing (which i wasnt.), but they thought it was ok to look INSIDE my changing room because they thought i was stealing. very disrespectful. other then that on differrent occasions the workers are nice, but i am very upset with those three employees.

The place is extremely small that its hard to get around and really see everything i also felt like everyone was looking at me and my friends (a mixed group) i have heard alot about them looking at black people which i do feel is true so if you are black watch out for that but the store is very aesthetic and there a big sacks of stickers around the store which you can just take from(there free).

Horrible service. I wasn’t spoken to up until I needed a fitting room and I watched three workers stand in the middle of the store laughing and on their phones. Multiple workers shouldered my friend and didn’t even apologize. I don’t understand how there can be so many people scheduled on the floor in such a small place and there still be bad service. I’d stick to online if you live near here.

I was at the 5th Ave one and No one asked if I needed help. But otherwise it was a nice store.

Just today me and my friend were illegally searched and didn’t know because the staff lied and said it was a store “policy”. They checked our bookbags AFTER we had just purchased an item of clothing. They said they had to check us because “something happened in the changing room.” Mind you me and my friend were the only people of color in the store and were the only ones checked. Also I came into the changing room with five items of clothing and came out with five and yet I was still wrongly accused. My friend didn’t even use the changing room she was simply waiting for me to finish so there was no reason for her to be checked. These employees are constantly racist amongst people of color and give dirty looks to anyone who isn’t Caucasian or Asian.

I had a pleasant experience here. The cashier was Emma who was very sweet and helpful. There wasn’t a whole lot of options there. But overall a good experience.

This brandy melville has so many options to choose from. i got like four things from there that all fit perfectly. i don’t like in new york, so when i realized there was one here, i needed to go. glad i went 👍🏼

Nice Place To visit.

I actually thought this was a fake Brandy Melville because the store is not on brand at all besides the clientele and workers. This place has heaps of clothes everywhere including piles in the window that resembles a NY tourist shop complete with tacky NYC sweaters. There are boxes everywhere and very little space to shop. This place gives me high anxiety than watching an episode of hoarders. It can easily be a more on brand experience with less overall stuff. Like I mentioned the only on brand thing about this place are the staff members - all are super unhelpful and unfriendly like all other Brandy Melvilles.

I usually dont write reviews about customer service but this really was appalling. Both girls were completely unaware that I was looking for some help (one was on the phone with her mother, another chatting to her friends at the cashier), and when I asked for it they were reluctant and just plain rude. I honestly felt like I was the bullied kid in high school asking help from the Mean Girls haha not fun, go somewhere else!

The clothes are really cute, but the employees are really rude and condescending. When I was checking out, the lady at the register was very cold and rude to me. I tried to smile and make the situation a bit less awkward, but the lady just rudely stared at me. I was having trouble with my money and she did very little to try and help me. All of the employees were so rude and cold that despite the stores nice clothes, I dont want to ever go back and experience the horrible treatment from the employees.

Absolutely by far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. There were at least 4/5 girls working, and they were ALL on their mobile phones and gossiping amongst each other. So rude and snobby, and made no effort with their customers. As I tried things on in the fitting rooms, there was one girl that made extremely rude gestures and remarks to her colleague about a customer behind her back - how disgusting! I really like the clothing here, but unfortunately the uninterested and rude staff are a real downfall to the brand.

This isnt a review but I noticed how most of the people who gave them bad reviews are poc and Ive read that the brandy staff arent friendly to poc (from accounts from people in NJ and NY). I was thinking of visiting but I might not now because Im not in the mood to ever deal with a disrespectful staff.

Very uncomfortable experience for me as well. Workers were selfish and were sitting down the whole time and used terrible language and did not care for the comfort or happiness of their customers. I recommend for everyone to go to a different Brandy Melville store to do their shopping!

I’ve never written a review before, but after this experience I had at this location about a year ago I still think about it to this day. I’ve always grown up loving brandy meliville but I don’t live in a big city so I’ve never been able to continuously shop at their stores. My mom and I visited the store on 5th Ave last summer and we are not stick thin girls that the brand accommodates for, but we love to shop so we figured nothing could go wrong. Nobody greeted us, and after asking the girls who were working for input (who are definitely my age by the way) they continuously looked me up and down so I just proceeded to shop on my own. At the check out the girl looked beyond annoyed and i have no idea why. I understand when an employee has a bad day they may not be in the brightest mood, but literally all three girls had this resting face that screamed “why are you in our store”. My mom asked if they could throw away her coffee cup for her, and she pointed us to the trash can out on the street...... A few months later I went to the other brandy location in New York and it was a great experience, I recommend it to other young girls who visit New York and like the brand.

There isnt much there, and there arent a whole lot in terms of sizing, but what they do have is cute.

The service was bad and the store was tiny. The cashiers seemed really annoyed when I asked a simple question. Not to mention they kept gossiping and talking while ringing you up so you had to stay in line forever. Especially one of the cashiers/ model, Keighty I think her name was very rude.

I love the clothes they sell, however the staff are rather pathetic as they simply stand there behind the till looking bored and scroll through their phones. I seemed to encounter some favoratism while I was waiting to pay as the girl in front of me was being asked if she could have her picture taken and asked for her instagram name by a staff member. The girl behind the counter was constantly dishing her compliements from her to clothes to her accent. When the girl has paid and left, I step up the pay and I get the same bored expression I noticed when I walked in. I appriciate I wasnt looking my best that day however Im sure many would agree that all coustmers should be treated the same.

I ask an employee at the cash register if she had this certain item, I see her pouring some sugar packet in her water and doesn’t even listen. I asked again and she answers with a “I don’t think so” like I asked something stupid. I was so irritated so I said thanks with an attitude she ends up staring me down. If you don’t wanna work then go home, doesn’t even bother looking it up like thanks for nothing honestly

My expirence was pretty bad lol. idk if its a new york thing but when i walked in no one greeted me to the store; like regular stores. when i checked out the employee didnt say anything to me and it felt awkward. also while i was waiting to check out another employee was taking what looked like model shots of this girls outfit. idk if it was because of what i was wearing, an american apparel bodysuit, american apparel sweatshirt, adidas jacket, adidas shoes and topshop jeans, or if it was because of my age or if it looks like i cant afford what i was buying. i hope the manager sees this and teaches their workers how to be polite lol.
