This location is so much better than the Madison Ave location. Paul the pharmacy mgr. is awesome, he is friendly and knowledgeable and always ready to help.

The Management In This Store Is Horrible, Female, Aggressive Manager August 3rd 2021 Afternoon Has A Long Line, She Was Rude, Not Helpful To Customers, Instead of Being A Team Player She Has Two Older People As Cashiers One Young Man Yet Line Long & Not Moving!!! You Speak To Her & She Has An Attitude, This Store Has Always Lacked Poor Management Sadly But TrueWe Should Give Jobs To Those Who Truly Want To Work In Our Community Not Make It Look Bad & Treat It Badly

I came to buy something and ask for help but no one came and I ask from the manager he was on his phone and didnt help me. I ask the cashier about him and they told me he new, I asked for his name and stuff they told me that his name is Donavan and I dont like how he running the store I think they should retrain him or give someone else the job

Employees are rude. You have to wait long in line to pay.

I order 2 poster board pictures it said it’ll be ready by 8am I go at 4pm and the guy tells me we don’t have poster board. When was you planning to call me and tell me? He didn’t say anything at all. So unprofessional! You can’t ask for help in there cause someone always has a attitude as well ! Smh horrible!

Not a place to stop by if you’re on your lunch or in a rush because you’ll be waiting on a line forever ! They are always always always understaffed. The pharmacy line will more than likely be down to the middle of the store/ aisle and it’s rare more than one register is open.

I went in the store to get two things. I usually go to this store so I know where most of the things are at so I went straight to that section that has what I wanted and noticed that the security guard followed me to that section. As I’m grabbing something the security guard passes by two more times just looking at me. He sees me looking for one more thing on that aisle and he stops at the end of the aisle and just stares at me. As soon as I get my things I walk to the cash register and he goes to the front. I could see with the corner of my eye that he’s just looking at me. I don’t know if he was trynna help me out most likely not since he didn’t talk to me at all or if he racially profiled me and thought I was going to steal.

The definition of terrible customer service. No matter when you go, it always takes forever. There could be one person in line and you will still be stuck for eternity.

Wow. Incredibly disorganized. Don’t come here expecting a smooth pharmacy experience, they “think” they don’t have my medicine. What does that even mean. I recommend going elsewhere for your pharmacy needs.

The manager at this Duane Reade is rude and not very helpful. The store is drab and half empty. It looks like it’s on the verge of closing. Maybe if we get more Caucasian people in the neighborhood, they will shut down and renovate the entire store. However, there is one male employee who is helpful and courteous but I don’t know his name and the pharmacy staff is awesome!! 5 stars for them!

Its so sad that you have your co-workers wearing coats and scarfs while being on the clock.... this is a big company all over the city and you as a company make too much profit to not being able to provide a warm and safe working space for your employees.

Dont utilize this store for photos. The machine is always broken and they dont tell you until you have arrived to pickup. Only shop here for regular products, and not even, theyre expensive compared to their competitors.

They never answer the phone and when asked about a product they know nothing about it and walk away just leaving you standing there

Covid 19 safe!

I have had a couple experiences picking up packages at this location and it has been a nightmare. Long wait just to get someone to help you. Jenny A. specifically was incompetent in finding my package just for me call UPS and for them to tell me it’s 100% there and has been. Big waste of my time and worse off she was extremely rude about her own incompetence. As my mom would always say you have to LOOK LOOK not just look.

I called for some customer service for the photo section and the first time i called they hanged up on me. second time, were sorry our staff is on line with another customer it said that for about 15 minutes and i gave up. I swear i have never called such a rude store before,

Bad service

This pharmacy spent 3 days denying any prescription was called in by my physician. My physician in turn sent me screen shots of the numerous calls she made in an effort to get me my medication. Every time I expressed my dismay the pharmacy simply dismissed my claims without a care. Terminally I had to implore them to call my physician which seemed to be an incredible aggravation for their staff? This was after 5 separate calls from me and 3 separate calls from my physician over 3 days. To add insult to injury this isnt even my pharmacy, my information was transferred here from the location on 86th street which closed. I never thought Id miss a former pharmacy but these people are utterly incompetent and rather rude. Ill be using another pharmacy from now on.

Ive been using this store for many years and the customer service is great. Cashiers are nice and I always find the items Im looking for . Glad they are a part of the East Harlem community 👍

Is this store closing down or something?.. Because nothing is ever stocked and shelves are always empty.Very unusual for Duane Reade

Terrible store and experience. All the employees look like they dont want to be there. 1 tall black male, one spanish girl with glasses and one black heavy set woman all working before closing on 1/31/18. I asked for my U.p.s package took 15 mins to get it from the back, another 5-7 mins to help me sign it out while they were chit chatting with friends and associates. I have 13 years of customer service experience and the customer is first, not a conversation between co-workers. I had a long day at work and was so annoyed. This store is dirty and unprofessional, always understaffed.

This store has gotten worst over the years hence the reason for people calling out. Theres always a shortage of staff. Yesterday the manager said she was the only one working. Unbelievable, that the store would be open with 1 staff.

Today I went in to Duane Reade and I desperately needed Elmers glue for my 9yr old daughter. I asked Shatima a very friendly employee for help and couldnt believe how she went above and beyond to help me. She went through I believe were 9 crates to look for the Elmers glue that I needed. Though she couldnt find any I was just very touched that she took the time to go through those crates and not just turned me away just because it wasnt out on the floor. Its rare now a days to have someone really help you when you ask for help. I will continue to go to the same Duane Reade location on 106th and 3rd Ave because my experience was awesome.

Wasted time waiting for them to get my package. extremely understaffed. waited over 20 mins for them to find me my package. avoid this place at all costsedit: 30 mins and the package was apparently right in front of them......

Long lines, slow and understaffed, minimum level of upkeep.Walked out multiple times on purchases while the counter staffed dragged their feed providing service. Management is less than useless.Pathetic.

Very slow service in comparison to other locations. One person available to service the pharmacy requests. Already standing 10 minutes on line and there’s still 3 people ahead of me. #annoyed

One of the worst duane reedes. Almost as bad as the one on 125st. Employees looked bothered when asked where a particular item was.

By far the slowest Duane Reade in New York. Things take hours longer here than they do any other pharmacy in Manhattan. Takes 10 minutes to get on the phone w a pharmacist. Took about 6 hours for a prescription to be filled whereas other locations get it done in an hour or less. Doesnt make any sense.
