I was disappointed because the hair braider in the back doesnt want to fix other peoples hairstyles. She could have gained a new customer. Back to my Jamaica Avenue ppl.The store itself has a lot of great products.Thanks for your reply, Im glad you stated that information. I love your store. Hire a freelancer who likes to gain new customers.

Didnt feel welcomed so I left. Its a shame that these beauty supply stores are owned by people that do not look like us and they profile and judge when we walk in. Its pretty ironic considering these stores were made for us and to serve us( black people) and our hair care needs. We are your target market, without us spending our money, you wouldnt have this kind of business. Do not follow people around the store and when a customer walks in, SPEAK. One of the employees only offered help because I loudly mentioned how they were just staring and said nothing . To future customers, check the prices because many items were overpriced.

I go here to get things like aloe, blades for my clipper, and other grooming supplies. This is a great mom and pop shop that really cares about their customers.

Awful and unprofessional. I wanted to return some hair dye and the employees were waiting around eating. When I asked someone, the man pointed to a woman on the phone. As I waited the man said I couldn’t make the return because the item was under $10 when I had previously returned wig glue that was under $10. I do not understand how the return policy could have changed so quickly. There was no mention of this policy on the receipt or when I was buying the items. I will not recommend to anyone, they have no respect for their customers. I have never had a good experience when shopping here and I will never go again.

I love this place and everyone who works here. At first its a tad cold walking in, especially when youre buying your first wig starting chemo, but Im in there once a week now mostly because of how sweet and warm they are, they dont judge, go out of their way to remember preferences and set things aside for me all the time, remembering I had asked a while back even in passing . I do wish there was a larger selection of tones and colors for hair, especially the Remy, but its hard to find that anywhere. Prices are pretty fab too.,

This place does have good prices for their products but my rating was based more on customer service. I just left this place. The employees are rude and did not offer any help. When standing on the opposite of the register the man yelled Next! Instead of asking if I needed help finding something. There was no reason to yell Next when the store was completely empty. Lol smh. I would suggest to run in, find what you came for, pay and run out because they do not welcome any person there or help. I felt very uncomfortable.

The girls in hair department are Wonderful!! Everyone one else are very miserable and very unfriendly.If the girls leave its not worth going back, the men there are miserable.

They shut the lights off on me while I was shopping, they are super rude and wouldn’t let me buy anything because they were closing, mean while I was already in there and ready to go. The owner had a super nasty attitude too. The store was suppose to be open for another hour, they do what they want here.

They have a great selection of hair color and other hair and beauty supplies (duh) even wigs and hair pieces. The young lady who assisted me in the wig section was kind, honest and very helpful.

This is the only beauty supply store that I find in this area and prices are good.

One stop shopping place for all kinds of beauty products. They carry several eyelash conditioner brands (no Latisse though); prices ranging from $60-130. They are very generous with samples too.

This store is conveniently located and has a wide selection of products. I frequently shop here due to its close proximity to the train. However, today was the last day that I will shop at this establishment. I visited the store at lunchtime shortly after 12 pm. The store was not crowded and well staffed. I entered the store looking for a hair curl cream but no one offered assistance. Rather, I received two to three employees not-so-casually watching my every move while I searched for the product. When one employee walked past me, another one would shortly follow. Finally, I found what I needed but what would have been an over $30 purchase, I reduced to an $8.99 selection due to the experience. Further, as I paid for my purchase, there were no pleasantries exchanged nor was I asked if I found everything that I needed. I said Thank you as I always do after receiving change from a purchase but there was no Youre welcome uttered in reaponse. As I stated before, due to the location, I have often shopped at this store. However, after this experience, you can be assured that this will no longer be the case. It is unfortunate that a store that caters to a specific clientele operates in a manor that is both unprofessional and demeaning. I would suggest that you spend your money elsewhere.

Came here one time and there was a lady that was amazingly helpful but on the second occasionshe was not there, the two men were very unprofessional, i definitely agree with the other reviews, they dont offer to help just follow you around the store watching you, pretending to fix stuff on the shelves in the most obvious way. wont be giving them any of my money in the future

They absolutely do not know how to treat a customer, went in there last night to buy some blades for my trimmers,when I got home I realized they were the wrong type,didnt even have to open the package to tell.so this morning I went back the store to do a simple exchange,the receipt stated I had 14 days to return it as long the item wasnt opened or altered. They did not want to help me, they tried to make the argument that all sales were final, they felt the need intimidate me by saying we were being video taped, I said I didnt care, lets call the cops and let them settle this,once I said that they made the exchange, I want them to know they didnt have try and scam me get my business, you just lost a potential good customer,if all sales are final,change the policy on your receipts. You dont deserve the star I gave you. I feel I was stereotyped from the time I hit the door,I dont know how you stay in business.

They buy fake products and fill them with cheap/knock off product. wouldn’t give my money back, don’t even bother giving them your business.

Not saying that the service was lovely but i dint experience any of the nastiness that others have.

I have the same experience with the bad actitud of the staff I wish the owner read this reviews and do something about it. But for sure he is like this because I don’t think the employees act as a undercover cop because they want to. Employees are disrespectful and unprofessional. They didn’t help with anything i needed then proceeded to kick people out 10 minutes to closing time in a rude manor because he “had to go”.I was in a rush to find a product because i was traveling the next day. I walked into the store at 6:47 pm and the store was closing at 7:00pm. I had never been to the location so i asked for help. One of the employees pointed to the wrong item and walked away. I continued to look around to find the item when another employee approached me at 6:49 saying “you need to find whatever you need and go because we are closing”. I told Him that i wasn’t leaving until 7 because I am still in search of an item that i desperately needed. The employee said “okay then we will turn off the lights and lock the doors with you in here we have to go home”. I still hadn’t left because it was 6:54 at this point and the two employees were standing at the door with their bags on. The lights then turned off And i could no longer find anything in the store. Upon walking out, i did let them know that was illegal and i will not be returning. Poor customer service and i couldn’t find the product i wanted.

Very helpful store but it’s unfortunate one of the employees at the left register is not good with customers. If you can’t pay with a card at the counter he says nothing and rudely shakes his head no. Odd.

I used to come to this store a lot since is the only one around my job, but I will no longer give them my money. Customer service sucks except for the lady on selling her hair extensions in the back. But all the people working in the floor are horrible. They always have an attitude. But today i went to exchange an iteam i got and they refused to exchange it for me or return my money. Not only that, I noticed that they charge me way more and I noticed once I saw my receipt. PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT ONCE THEY CHARGE YOU!

They are sooooo freakin rude !!! I am from upstate NY and the service here is terrible. They hound me like I am a person who is trying to steal and every time I ask for help they look at me like I am crazy. They follow you through the store... They know nothing about hair at all!! To be honest if a store could get shut down from having poor customer service , they would be #1 in this area. I walked in with my friend who was hispanic and she was speaking it to the guy. The guy quickly caught an attitude and said you dont know how to speak spanish . I am a very loyal customer when it comes to hair and this place is just terrible !!! I rather walk 10 blocks than to go back to this store ever again to feed their wallets. They need to learn that customer experience is everything and you never know who they are talking to or treating disrespectfully .The best hair store ive ever went to was Hair Galleria in Upstate NY !!! THEY ARE THEEEBESTTTTTTT !!!

Worse experience ever. Theres no any staff available. Since I opened the hair color chart book the staff walked and yelled at me out loud said do not take it out even I tried to explain he was still said that no, you did. What was the reason to do that yelling to the customer even if I took the color chart out from the book or not this is not ok. OMG!!I went there with my 2 years old son and he got hungry if not I would asked for the manager or the owner about this guy.
