First of all this was the rudest place I have ever been in my life. I get there and park in the only parking spot I could find available. The plan was to check in and then ask where I can park my car before I use the truck for the morning. This was my first time using U-Haul and being at this location so I wanted to make sure I knew what I was supposed to do etc. Well that didnt happen. Before I could barley get out of my car I was basically told by some lady that customers parked across the street, and she was planning to park the U-haul that she was moving where I had just parked. Not only was it very unwelcoming, but down right rude. A few other people were parked in the lot and being served. If you dont have parking for customers to be able to check in or ask questions etc. What kind of company are you?! It sure makes it seem like you dont want my business. The thing that really made me upset was that when I came back to return the truck around noon there were tons of regular vehicles parked in the spaces while I had parked at Publix across the street. I will never be back to this location, or use U-haul ever again. I would rather pay triple the amount than ever use their services. If you feel like you want to be treated with disrespect and unwelcome this is the best spot in town. The pictures are from my return in the afternoon. I guess it wasnt okay for me to park there, but for everyone else it was okay to do so.

I called the U-Haul line to have a trailer hitch installed on my Subaru Andy customer service representative it was extremely helpful. The next day I showed up to this location in the general manager, Leroy, told me that the parts were there but they were in a truck that has not been unpacked yet so I would not be able to get the parts. He went on to explain to me that they need to call us to confirm we have the parts and they did not do that. He sat in his comfortable office chair the entire time and barely said a word to me. The idea of customer service does not exist at this location.

Not a big surprise when I read these reviews. They are the most hateful rudest people I have ever dealt with. The short haired lady called me with with a BIG attitude. She said that I was two days late and it was only one day late. I asked if I could extend rental and she said no bring the truck tonight or a police report will be filed. Such a rude pos I dont know why she thinks its appropriate to talk down on people.

There is a Jeremy ( manager) who was helping me which is obvious that he was having a very bad day! but it’s also obvious that it is not my fault. he was having a very bad actitud, I really kept it cool until I had it!I did asked him what whats wrong, why do I need to be treated that way when I’m a customer and I’m paying for my services, well he exploded and make his decision to go and unhook the trailer from my car after I had waisted 25 minutes doing the whole process and ready to go.There was another manager on site I did explain everything to him but didn’t do a thing.I would not recommend this location for anything!!!Bad customer service, bad people representing this brand.

Save yourself the hassle and rent your U-Haul from a different location (or better yet, use a different company completely). I work in a retail pharmacy and deal with rude customers daily, so I have a thick skin and not much bothers me. However the employee at this location (Jonnie) was the rudest human I have ever interacted with. I received an attitude, a rude tone, and even name calling from her, as well as a threat to delete my reservation because I was “wasting her time.” My 60-year old military father was shocked by the way she spoke to me and him. I have never had an employee yell at me because of a misunderstanding and not be willing to try to assist. After I finally decided it wasn’t worth fighting her anymore, I walked outside to bawl my eyes out and numerous other customers who witnessed the interaction came up to me after to apologize for how I was treated and make sure I was okay. Please save yourself the verbal abuse and rent from any of the other locations or other businesses in Nashville. Or at the very least, refuse to be helped by their short-haired rude employee, Jonnie.

TERRIBLE experience. Was called with 48 hours notice, told the truck I reserved two weeks ago isn’t available and the next nearest truck would be an hour and a half drive away. When I explained that we have movers scheduled during that time, was basically told there’s nothing to be done about it. Now I have to spend an extra $800 to reserve with another company TWO DAYS prior to our move. Moving is a stressful enough process, and these people do everything they can to make it more difficult. Really should be ashamed of themselves.

What can I say, its U-Haul. This location has a great manager, Leroy Harris. It shows. Friendly sales & service, cant be beat. Clean restrooms & storage facility in general. Climate controlled if you need it. A little pricey compared to others, but you get what you pay for. Not a lot of parking, but I never seem to have a problem getting in & out of storage. Personally, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this location but it really all depends on what part of town youre moving into.

Great experience today. Customer service was excellent from pick up to drop off. Van was clean and easy to drive. The cargo van easily fit a queen mattress and box spring. They both laid flat on the floor. I would recommend this location for your next truck/van rental.

I think the managers name is Leroy. He was a very professional gentleman, who was polite and kind and fixed something that another place had broken. Go here! I have complete faith in his ability.In addition, he told me that we should not be driving with the ball part in as part of the trailer hitch, that we should store it. He removed the ball part (within ten seconds - anyone could have stolen it!) and put it in the back.Educational and fixed it.Deserved more than five stars!

Used to always get my propane tanks filled here. Lately they’ve started looking for any nitpicky thing they can do to reject a tank. IE; rust on bottom ring, or any other little discoloration or small dent. Given the subjectivity of the assessment will no longer be a customer here.

The professional installation performed by U-haul took 3 hrs. Prior to my purchase I had read the installation guide that was provided on line. In that guide it states professional installation should take 45 min.Update: As I was leaving, the manager handed me the sound proofing from under my car. The online installation clearly shows how to trim and reinstall this material which also provides protection for the fuel tank. Twice I called to reschedule the sound proofing. Once after 12 minutes I was disconnected. A second time I was told I would get a call back which never happened. I had to drive to the store to schedule the installation. I trimmed the material for the manager for time management. Installation still took 1 hr 18 min.

We recently picked up a 10 ft U-haul driving it from Nashville Tn to Naples FL. The pick up and drop off was very easy. The only complaint was that the AC was not very good. Overall good service and we would use U-Haul in the future.

I made a reservation online with a $50 guarantee to pick up a 10 foot truck on Saturday, August 3rd at 9AM. I walk into the store and inform the lady at the counter that I have a reservation to pick up a 10 foot truck at 9AM. She looks me up in the system and finds my reservation but tells me that the truck is not available. She then hands me a business card and tells me to call back after 3 hours to check for availability. I inform her that helpers are already on their way to my apartment and I need the truck sooner. She then advised me to call another U-Haul location or take a pick up van instead. Since the van is not big enough, I left the store and started calling another location. While on the phone, I see three 10 foot trucks on their lot near the exit. I walk back into the store and ask if those were operational. She takes a quick look outside and then informs me that those were already reserved. I was dumbfounded. I understand that U-Haul may overbook just like the airlines in case someone does not show up for their reservation but I didnt understand why I didnt get a truck when I arrived before other reservations ( I arrived on time so I was not even early). Maybe some customers are more important than the others? Thankfully I was able to rent a truck from a different location.After returning the truck, I called the customer service to request $50 for failing to keep my reservation. After waiting on the phone for about 20-30 minutes, I was able to submit a complaint and was told that I would be contacted in 1-2 business days. I still have not heard back from U-Haul so I decided to follow-up today using the Live Chat service. I explain what happened and the customer representative, Shawn, informs me that no complaint/action file was submitted under my name. I guess U-Haul is implementing the hopefully the customer forgets about it tactic.Oh, and I received a text on August 3rd around 3:30PM saying my reservation is ready at 5 PM at this location. Why bother with reservations if I have to wait 8 hours after my initial reservation to get my truck. I had to waste another 15 minutes to make an account online and cancel the reservation.

I have never been to a place with a worst customer service care!!!A lady called Verse was in the front office and all I wanted was a quote for a hitch and everything else needed for my car, she gave such an attitude and clearly did not want to be working there!!! Definetly NOT using their services and I will be glad to tel everyone that I know, to avoid that place!!!In hard times like we are living, the least you can do is take pride and do your job well!!!What a shame U-haul...

This location is completely incompetent. I scheduled a hitch installation online 2 weeks prior. After driving an hr to the location for the installation, I was informed that there is no one on location to install the hitch. No apologies. No regrets. Just told that they can’t do it, have a nice day. Apparently they can’t operate an online scheduling system.

I use Uhaul frequently. I have never had more issues then with this place. I turned the truck in at 9 am. Later that day I called to figure out why I hadnt recieved a receipt. I found out they still hadnt done there job, and checked the truck in. Now its day 3 and I still dont have my deposit back or a receipt. Then they tell me I can drive back to where I originally got the truck to get my deposit.... What kind of customer service is this This company have no problem taking my money but its like pulling teeth to get it back.

They were on point and timely. Did most of my stuff ahead online. When I arrived at the facility to get the rental it was busy (classic Nashville), the associates tackled each customer swiftly and resolved each problem timely. I believe the general manager (Leroy) was the one who helped me.If you need to move or rent something I strongly recommend this facility over the other ones. Be patient, the people are nice, the service is probably the best I ever had at a uhaul place.

I’ve been in a time crunch multiple time and LeRoy has, in each situation, given personal attention and found quick solutions. I’ve gone to other rental stores in Nashville and been disappointed as LeRoy ( manager/owner) has set the standard of expectation pretty high. Furthermore, he always is pleasant no matter how understaffed or busy he may be. I appreciated him getting me in today to fix my wiring before my cross-country trip.

I asked for a trailer that would hold 5.5 foot wide 4 man atv that i was picking up in Ohio for a crazy crazy good deal. U haul told me they had a 6 x 12 trailer but the ramp was only 5 foot wide. I told them I thought I could make that work. What they didnt tell me was the opening of the trailer was less than 5 feet wide. To make a long story short Im out about $3000. That guy will sell that atv before i can get to it. If buy some miracle that 4 seater quad doesnt get sold by this Sunday Ill try again and borrow a friends trailer.

Mr. Leroy Harris is a great guy. He always greeted me with a smile and was consistently civil to customers, even when they were less than polite to him. My experience with Uhaul storage was excellent, everyone was always very amiable, the facility was clean and easy to access (at least when no one else was trying to move at the same time). Dont support this business.We used to rent from these guys every weekend for our business. Even when we had a reservation, they were a mess. I finally just bought my own trailer so I dont have to deal with these people. Today, I called to make a reservation to have my trailer wiring worked on. They took my card info, confirmed the appointment, then, 20 minutes before the appointment, I was on my way and they called to say they could no longer do it... Leroy, the manager, said he would call other stores to see who could take care of me and said He would call me back. Never called... After an hour of waiting for his call in a parking lot, I just went somewhere else.Also today- I came in to have a hitch switched, and theres a man here that had a reservation, called to confirm it, then showed up to find that they dont have the truck.. They wont give him the same price for another vehicle and are trying to double the price on him. Hes traveling to Washington with important stuff and is now screwed because these people are incompetent. Will try very hard to avoid this place.

One employee with lines of returns. Used a truck for 10 miles and was charged $8 for gas. This was on full when I got it and it was on full when returned. Be sure that you dont fall for the gas scam if you go by there. I would not recommend this place.

Came in to rent an open trailer for a couple of hours. Upon arrival there were employees yelling profane things across what I guess was an inspection area. When we hooked up to the trailer, we had an employee walk up with a cigarette in his mouth. Thankfully he wasnt smoking while he hooked us up. It was very hot, and I understand tension can run high when youre uncomfortable. Only the owner didnt seem to be annoyed with customers. All of the other employees seemed to be too annoyed with life and the fact that anyone else was there. If I go back, it will only be out of necessity. If I have a choice, Ill find a different facility to rent from.

I made a reservation online and the online system switched me from Franklin to this location without my knowledge. When I discovered this, I politely started to explain to the manager (who called me) that I had to cancel because I could not make it to his store by closing time. He chose not to hear me out, but instead hung up on me. It was evident in his tone prior to hanging up that he was not a flexible, customer-centric type of guy or at least not on this day. Maybe just a bad day and not the norm for him or the location, but this type of response is unacceptable. I ended up speaking to another location in Franklin where the service rep was accommodating and adaptable, and got me taken care of.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!We paid for a truck to take to Dallas. We drive all the way to location we are loading at and there is a fricken combo lock on the door. We call and sit on hold for 35 minutes! No one answers. We drive all the way back and first ask why they are not answering their phones. One of the little female gangster reps starts yelling that they dont have to explain why they dont answer their phones!Are you kidding me?We explain our situation and all we get is attitude. They say we have to call a number for someone to come and get the lock off? Hahaha am I on candid camera? I ask for my money back and the same little ghetto mouth tells usYoure not getting your money back. I know I know.... It gets better but do I need to type more? The staff was helpful and usually helped me load my car without asking. When I investigated using their vehicles, the situation deteriorated. When I arrived to rent them, the prices tripled. I showed them the paper where they wrote down the quote and they shrugged and said someone else made a mistake. So I didnt rent vehicles from Uhaul. However, I still hired people off their recommended just to pack the truck. In spite of asking about putting protective blankets around furniture, they ignored my request. When the furniture was unpacked at the new location, I discovered that every piece of my furniture was damaged and many other things were broken. I cannot recommend using Uhaul for anything except purchasing moving supplies. They do that beautifully.

A bad experience – (Read the Contract!)Two weeks prior to my moving day I booked at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Hillwood Plaza facility in Nashville (3741 Annex Ave, Nashville, TN) a 20-footer truck along with a 2-wheel car tow to take my Honda. I was welcomed by one of the owners named Leroy who assured me that everything would be 100% ok and I had nothing to worry about. I made it clear that the trucks return address in Tampa, FL would be the one near my new home.On Sept/8th I stopped at the U-Haul facility to pick up the truck and also to make sure my tow car would be there the next day. I spoke to another owner named Verse who told me that there was no car tow booked for me on that date. Even after I showed the paper with my reservation she kept insisting that there was no car tow for me. By her attitude and tone of voice it seemed that it was my fault that they had not put my reservation in the system. Its amazing how some people can never apologize, its as if the word sorry was not part of their vocabulary. After much waiting the girl assured me that there would be a tow truck waiting for me the next day. The trip from Nashville to Tampa took two days and I went straight to the U-Haul address that Nashville gave me to return the tow car and then unload the truck. Thats when I found out what kind of people I was dealing with. The U-Haul manager in Tampa assured me that it was never informed that I would return the truck and the tow car at his location. His parking lot was full and I should head for another facility 7 miles from there. This after driving 10 hours and arriving in the city with rain and during rush hour.Bottom line: I had to cancel the reservation I had with a company for the help I would have to unload the truck. I paid a $ 50 fine and hired another one. I then found out that the U-Haul owner in Nashville knew all along that I wouldn’t be able to return the truck to that facility close to home and she never mentioned that. And I learned another lesson in my life. Read the entire agreement before signing. Never trust these people. They say something in front of you and do another one on your back.

I reserved my uhaul online and checked in online however, when I arrived I had to wait in a line for 55 minutes before I was able to get my truck. The employees working the check-in counter were not concerned with the wait time and seemed to not be in any rush to move things along. The employee checking my truck back in was not able to answer any questions. My experience at this location was very poor. I will not use this location in the future or recommend it to anyone else. Overall this was a very frustrating experience.

Set up an install 2 weeks ahead and paid. Their email told me to be there for a 1:00 appointment that should take an hour. It appeared they had one guy doing installs in a work area that looked like my garage. At 2:20 my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I got a refund and left. Totally not dependable.

Called on Sunday at approximately 1:00 PM and talked with a young lady about renting a trailer. She did not seem to know much except what she was reading from a script. I have a full size GM 4X4 pickup with which I have hauled or trailerd back hoes and bob cats, heavy duty fully functional trailer hitch, with standard functional lighting wiring. The vehicle I was to tow home was a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van. I have used their trailers and dollys in the past and had no issue. I went over the situation a few times and was told neither trailer or dolly would work. They wanted $84.00 for rental of just the trailer. Calling the tow truck service was $90.00 delivered to my door. They lost business because of not properly training employee.

I scheduled install of a hitch for my car on May 17, 2018 for Friday, June 1 at 9am at this location. I paid in full in advance ($445). I get there and there is only one person working to check in customers. After 20 minutes, I get to the desk, tell the owner my name and why Im there. We arent doing any installs today. We had it blocked off on our calendar. Are you sure it was today? I tell him yes. He looks at the calendar and it shows Monday June 4 at 830am. I told him I would never have scheduled on a Monday because I work Mondays and that the time was wrong. This made me upset, but the real kicker was that the hitch I ordered AND paid for 2 weeks ahead of time hadnt even been delivered yet! Needless to say I cancelled my order, got a refund, and left after so much wasted time. Poor customer support. BTW, I went to a local business and got one installed for $150 less.
