Our experience with this location went quite smoothly. I originally booked a 4’ x 8’ trailer online. When we got to the store and after explaining about the one larger piece we had to haul, the store owner said we needed the next size up. Although the cost increase was pretty minimal, she said she would cover the extra charge. She did have to do that, so thank you. The trailer was hooked up to our truck before I finished processing the paperwork in the store. Within 15 minutes, we were on our way. We are on the road with the trailer now, headed home to IL and no issues so far.

This location is unorganized and confusing. I did a mobile check in, but they gave my truck to someone else while I was getting checked in. There was no one in the office for a line of people waiting, and they did not help me find my truck after they assigned me a new one. I understand everyone is understaffed right now, but the employees didn’t explain anything to me, and they were rude when I tried to ask questions.

The guy never gave us a truck inspection or told about about doing it via text. Instead, he gave us the keys and walked away lighting a cigarette. When we tried to return the Uhaul, they blocked BOTH entrances that prevented us from returning the truck on-time. I am on Day #3 dealing with Customer Service and this location will not pick up the phone or respond to emails demanding that they call me since right away since I parked the truck next door at the right time and delivered the keys to the drop box, yet, they still claim I haven’t returned the truck. I will never do business with this location ever again. Not to mention, the truck has a hole in the back-right tire that I didn’t see until I got home and had to wait over 4 hours for roadside assistance since they were coming from Kentucky and nobody local could help.

Poor customer service at this location. Make sure you take pictures of the gas gauge as well as the mileage before taking your rental and returning it. I was told someone from the location would call me the day before to verify my rental... No one did. There is also no way to get in touch with the U-Haul location directly. Their listed number just connects you to U-Hauls headquarters. Not sure if this experience is U-Haul in general or just this location.

Female employee was rude, hateful and billigerent blocked me in, then insisted that I could back the truck out. Tried to tell her that I could not back out that another truck was blocking the way. Was informed that i should have already been gone that I had been there 30 Minutes. This is after she gave me attitude because I actually wanted to check the truck out. Side Note I had a blow out on truck. individual who changed tires check tire pressure on tires all were over inflated with 3 being over 100 psi, said over inflation was probably the reason for blow out.

I dropped off at 2:15 pm CST in the afternoon of Feb 18th. After being told I was good to go without any final documents, I felt uneasy. I took pictures of the guy pushing the rental trailer back from my car. At 6 pm CST, my gut told me to check my account with uHaul. Low and behold, the rental was not checked in. I called their number and they didnt answer, so it was transferred to the main uHaul call center. I told the woman the situation, she said she would message them. Nothing happened yesterday. This morning, nothing was still done. I tried to message them through uHaul website. NO RESPONSE. And to be clear, I had already returned to the city (that is out-of-state) where the rental originated. At 11 am EST (Feb 19), I went to the rental office of where I picked the unit up from. They were finally able to get these people to close the contract! Still no final documents were sent to my email until minutes ago (Feb 19- 1 pm EST). Also, the final documents say that I returned the unit today at 11:xx AM Feb 19. Hard to do, when I am 500 miles away! Did they rent this out yesterday and pocket the cash? Horrible drop off location. HORRIBLE! It really makes me speculate as to what was intended for the unit I returned. LUCKILY, with my uneasiness when I was just told I was Good to go, I took MANY photos of the guy pushing the unit away from my car! SHADY!

The man who pulled up my reservation was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. He had issues with my reservation which I had a confirmation for. When I insisted that he resolve the issue he started yelling at me, cussing, and stormed out. Pathetic service. Use a different location.

Everything was great until my return. The 3 guys in the shop decided to close and lock the shop 5 minutes before closing. I knocked on the door and received a screaming response to put the keys in the Dropbox. I replied with “you aren’t closed yet” and got another screaming remark I could not understand. Looks like they didn’t want to work 8 hours today and decided to call it quits. If I acted in the way in my professional workplace I would be fired. I will not be returning to this location regardless that it is the closest to my home. They do not deserve your business, either.

I did everything on my phone except for getting the keys, but it all went smoothly. When I walked in to return the keys a worker was screaming at a woman by the door (right beside me). He yelled and called her ugly and she yelled and called him broke, I thought they were just playing but it turned out to be serious. Their entire altercation stopped all business inside because everyone was watching. Very unprofessional. I understand some people grow up in the “ghetto” (sorry for using that term I just don’t know how else to explain it) and never learn how to act professional, but I know I’m not the only person who is tired of every establishment they go to to have loud rude workers there. They need to learn professionalism.

Awful overall experience that made for a miserable moving weekend. I made reservation 5 days in advance, had 2 email confirmations, 2 text confirmations, talked to a live person on the phone to confirm, and logged into my dashboard for the mobile check-in / pickup to check my reservation. This was an 8pm after-hours reservation (confirmation said they keys would be in the lockbox outfront). When I log in the next morning, the reservation was completely missing/wiped. So I show up to the facility and the manager told me the mobile check-in is glitchy and that he canceled the reservation without my permission because I was a no-show (even though I have pictures of me standing outside the door and key box at the reservation time with timestamps included). The manager (after canceling my reservation) told me that he had run out of u-hauls and there were not any available within 100 miles until the following Monday. After begging for help for 36 hours straight, the wedgewood uhaul location, he gave me an in-town local move option (which is what I originally booked) and pre-charged me for additional mileage that I did not request or use, BUT he told me I had to return it to another location 10+ miles away (despite me explicitly stating 3 times that I was only one mile from this location). When I returned it, the other manager told me it had NOT been booked as an in-town move, and that it was booked as a one way even though it was the same city. I was also told that the extra mileage I was charged for IN ADVANCE (without my permission) could NOT be reimbursed.Hands down the WORST experience Ive ever had; terrible customer service and incompetent, careless workers. Ive moved 10 times in 11 years, and I will never be using UHAUL again. Thanks.

Nice guys! Booked a van at another location but it was unavailable when I showed up. Sent to this location for truck instead. $19.95 truck for a few hours at $.79/mile (30mi) + $7.00 equipment (Dolly cart) taxes and fees = $69.11. Cool people, fees suck though.

The Wedgewood location is the absolute worst location in the world. Smells like marijuana when you go in and employees act like they are cracked out. Had made a reservation and paid for truck ahead of time but they failed to notify me that my reservation had been moved across town. Do not rent from them at this location.

Ive had an almost horrible experience with ordering U-Box from this location. I called them a few months ahead to plan my move four days after my return from a long trip abroad. The staff member on the phone informed me that one U-Box would be enough for a studio/one bedroom. When they tell you the container would be enough for a one bedroom apartment, you may think it would have enough space for a bed, a dressing chest, a desk, a TV stand, a dining set, a sofa and a coffee table plus your boxes. Well, these are the stuff I have in my one bedroom apartment and I think its quite the minimum. I totally got the impression that it would be enough. I know that I should not have acted irresponsibly by not double checking everything but the fact is I totally believed the staff on the phone. I am sure he must have mentioned the size once but it would not have made much sense to me anyway because the English system is still quite abstract for me.I cannot even describe how terrifying it was when I saw the U-Box container turning into our complex. I mean, I had made hotel reservations and all that and had a four-day-drive trip ahead of me. I felt this cannot be happening and my stuff NEED to go today! Long story short, I spent a day quite in agony and at least 6 hours on the phone with the staff to figure out what just happened and what can be done about it. I ended up paying $1100 more than what initially was planned, had to shift my travel plans and had to put up with the staff while they were showing no sympathy and were quite expecting me to be grateful to them because they had located me one more U-Box!!The first Moving Help who delivered my first U-Box and had to return it because it was not enough did not receive any compensation from U-Haul either but dealing with them was also a bad experience. They tried to talk me into letting them ship my stuff instead of U-Haul. Even thinking about it now makes my skin crawl.I filed a complaint afterwards and pursued to be at least compensated for the stress I endured but to no avail. The only reason I am not giving them a one star is that the staff member must have mentioned the size once over the phone and that it would seem it was my responsibility to check what it meant.One last note, I have been trying to upload this review on their website but I have not succeeded yet. I have contacted their customer service two times and have spent half an hour each time but they did not manage to give me a working link to upload my review.UPDATE: about a week after I wrote this review a small portion of the financial loss was refunded to the original method of payment (without a courtesy message). I very much appreciate this gesture; however, I still insist that only when it would have been professional if they had cared to recommend the correct number of U-boxes.

Terrible experience. Employees are rude and condescending. I’ve never used uhaul before. Pulled in to rent a car transporter. Employees immediately told me I needed to get my car off the parking lot because I was “in the way”, one person was there? I then go out and ask how to rent a trailer and was told “we can’t help you, you’ll have to rent online and come back tomorrow”. There were 4 unoccupied car carriers available and when I asked I was told to leave and come back when I had used the website. I left and went to the location on 1st street. They were great and all laughed when I described my experience, apparently this location is a running joke....

I had a mediocre at best experience during the actual pick up, and the company system was down making it even more difficult for a simple pick up of a 10” van. I did the self check in option and the online system crashed so many times while I was setting it up. Then I had been told there would be half a tank of gas, and once I got in the van it was barely a quarter. It was probably just a tough business day for the company, but it was not a great customer experience. The people working there were nice, but overall the companies systems felt very inefficient.

They are very timely. They have great customer service.BMC Moving company of Nashville used this site all the time. Forwarding Moving company used the Wedgewood U-Haul site all the time too. We watch their Uhaul guys worked hard to clean our truck and get the paperwork done , and get us off to our job numerous of time . Just love dealing with great people. Thank you U-Haul ..

Friendly helpful staff, rental equipment was in great shape. Easy Quick return. Only negative is that even with a reservation, picking up a trailer took about 40 minutes due to the volume of customers on Saturday morning. Rating should be 4.5 stars.

Ignorant staff. Dropped off truck at 4pm. Marked as returned the next day. Make them do paperwork in front of you. Charged extra day and 800 service could do nothing without local manager. Had to go back. Manager ok. Everyone else there needs training and a lesson in basic decency. I was also yelled at randomly during drop off. Woman at counter was on phone whole time and just said “well I ain’t the manager”. All ignorant.

Absolutely terrible experience here. They wouldn’t let us drop our trailer because they were “too full” but tons of open spaces in parking lot. Staff was particularly rude, manager screamed at us and threatened an $800 fine. Never seen such a poor run company. Avoid at all costs.

Scheduled an appointment a week ahead to get a trailer hitch installed. We needed the hitch in order to pull a u-haul we planned on renting the next day. Once the installation was complete they let us know that they did not have the part needed to hook up the brake lights and we would have to return the following week to get this. They also gave us the option of installing a part that might cause the computer in my car to malfunction and it would have to be taken to the dealer to correct this. This left us with no other option than to wait until the following week. Ended up having to rent a car instead of just the uhaul trailer and didnt even need the trailer hitch which wed already paid over $200 for, and now could not use as the lighting was not taken care of. (Of course u-haul would not rent us a trailer with no way to hook up break lights.) When I returned to get the new lighting part the next week, I spoke with the manager, Rand Richard. He was completely rude, and spoke over me for the most part. He told me that we had the option to get the part that may have caused a problem with the computer and it was our decision to wait until the next week leaving them blame-free. I asked him why we were unaware that they did not have the part we needed since ahead of time since we had scheduled a week ahead. He told me that the call center would not have known that they didnt have the part so it wasnt his fault. He also kept telling me that they had a part that they could have used and he was doing us a favor by telling us that it may mess up the car. He said that they put it on cars all the time, but it could cause the computer to malfunction and the car might not run until corrected by the dealership. I did not see this as a good solution obviously. Apparently they have no issue putting this part on other peoples cars and he was just doing us a favor by telling us it could mess up my vehicle. After he continued to talk over me and tell me how none of this was there fault, I paid full price for the part that was a week late. Still have not gotten to use the hitch, as we were installing it for a specific purpose. Ended up spending much more than I would have liked having to rent a car. I have never had a manager/owner of a company be so rude and talk over me, then act like he is doing me a favor when I had a problem. Will never use this place again.

Stopped in on Sunday to purchase two security locks for two storage buildings and there was no one to be seen after waiting 5 minutes. I then walked out still holding the two padlocks looking for someone in the garage area, still no one. I then walked out and looked back toward the front door and walked toward a black uhaul employee coming toward me who accused me of trying to steal the two locks I was holding. I explained there was no one inside and was looking for some help, he then agressively said they were short staffed and again accused me of trying to walk off with the locks as we were walking back in the front door. I responded I was not trying to steal the two locks and he accused me again which at that point I tossed to two locks on a display of stacked boxes and said Fine, Ill go somewhere else, you should not treat customers the way your treating me and left. I drove to Franklin and purchased the two locks I needed. Someone in management needs to pull this employee aside and teach him better techniques with customers. I get they might have issues with people stealing things, but to wrongly accuse someone without a different approach is simply poor customer service skills. I just needed two locks, not the experience I had. I was there around 1pm on June 16th 2019, so Uhaul can pull up your video survelance and see what happened.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I reserved a 9 van to pickup at this location. Had the confirmation and everything. Went to pick it up, the gentlemen behind the desk. who seemed to not care about his job at all, and looked high, tells me that they dont have any vans. I showed him my reservation and told him I confirmed this with U-haul that I was to pick the van up here. He made zero attempt to assist, and hands me a pen that says 1-800- U-haul and says call Uhaul. when I asked some follow up questions he just kept saying Call Uhaul. Youd think at least an apology for the inconvenience, or take a look at some other stores to find a van for me. Nope, just kept saying call U-Haul and staring at me. Number 1, I thought I was at Uhaul?... number 2, Uhaul should start paying a little better wages at these locations so they can have some better quality workers. nobody that worked there seemed to care at all. Sincerely, Disappointed.

When the manager Rand although over weight and barely able to do his job, can’t tell the difference between and 1/8 of a tank and a 1/4 of a tank you’ll get charged EVERYTIME!!! They are scheming at this facility and charge you for gas you returned by not starting truck and taking pictures when the truck is off. Don’t go through the hassle! Use Budget/Penske they don’t scam customers.

I was scheduled for a hitch install on a Thursday and when I arrived they said it was for Friday. Definitely a scheduling error on their side. They did nothing to correct the issue. All they offered was for me to leave the vehicle all day and theyd try to get to it. Totally unacceptable. Worst customer service ever.

DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK YOUR TRUCK AND PAPERWORK!!!! I’ve moved around quite a bit and have used uhaul every time. Usually, pictures are taken before you leave and when you return of the truck. Not here. Went in, got my truck, told me when to bring it back...thought it was odd and should’ve listened to my gut. Anyway, I was smart and took a picture of the dashboard before we drove away. Got the miles and gas gauge with a date and time stamp. DO THIS!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!! I “prepaid” for 20 miles because I had done the math in my head and that my trip would’ve been around that. We go and we do our business and come back. Drop off the truck and go inside to have the guy tell me we put 41 miles on the truck. LUCKILY I HAD RECEIPTS HONEY!!! My paperwork had different mileage on it than what the truck actually had....by 20 miles. So I would’ve been paying for 20 miles that I didn’t drive. We drop exactly 21 miles (1 over what I paid). They guy tried to tell me “well that’s something you should’ve dealt with before you left,” and I quickly whipped out my phone and showed him the picture with the date and time...11:13am was when we took the picture. They handed me my receipt and keys at 11:09am. I didn’t go 20 miles in 4 minutes ;) Anyway, the guy wasn’t rude about it, but he definitely didn’t care about being apologetic or have any sense of customer service. He insisted he go out and check the van himself, so he did, and refunded me the 20$ he was going to charge me. NEXT, he tried to overcharge me for the truck. I called the day before to reserve a 10ft, none were avail, so they told me they’d price match the 15ft for me. When I mentioned it, he said I couldn’t prove it, so I showed him my receipt that clearly said 19.95 and offered to show him my voicemail and pushed him my receipt from the quote earlier...like seriously??? Lastly, I was charged 5$ for a dolly and 5$ for towels, when I didn’t use them or request them. Maybe that’s just a standard thing...but I definitely was almost taken advantage of for sure. Y’all just be sure to triple check everything, save your receipts, and take lots of pictures. I’m going to be following my bank account for the next few days Incase they try to pull anything over on me AGAIN. Don’t let them take advantage of you!!! I will say that the guys working this morning were WAAAAY nicer and friendly than the guys working this afternoon (thank you Memphis). A simple apology would’ve kept me from writing this review, but it was clear that Demario doesn’t care about his job or customers.

Awesome Uhaul and Sam is great- definitely recommended. I have dealt with Sam twice in the past two weeks and each time he has been great- providing up front pricing that is always exactly what the total bill comes to, and he had me on my way with my equipment quickly. A moving company I hired was a no-show, so I went Uhaul in a last minute panic and Sam said he had a moving company who could go the job. It was done within hours of walking into the place... Life saver!!! Sam and Wedgewood Uhaul get 5 stars

I suggest any other company and if you have to use UHaul dont use this awful location. The equipment is substandard and the possessions youve worked so hard for will be at risk. The last trailer we rented had been improperly repaired so that two jagged screws were facing the inside of the unit. We didnt know this when renting it nor when picking up our new couch. The new couch was shredded due to the uncovered screws. We pointed this out to the manager at the store who said he was surprised by the poor repair and said we needed to file a claim with UHaul. The claim was quickly denied without ever contacting us or any explanation. We have used UHaul to move across the country twice and multiple times to move furniture. Never again.

I paid for the cargo van to move my furniture to my new place. It came out to be around $48.00 (including the additional $10 for insurance) I drove the van back to my apartment which is a little over a mile away from the uhaul place on wedgewood. I parked the van and my boyfriend and i came back into my apartment to pack up a few things before we began putting stuff in the van. After we were finished we were going to start loading the van up. My boyfriend grabbed the bookshelf and were going to put it in first. I WENT TO OPEN THE BACK DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VAN AND WHEN I PULLED THE HANDLE THE DOOR OPENED AND THE WINDOW SHATTERED!!!!!!! I had not done anything to the window or even been in the back of the van!! WE HAD NOT EVEN PUT ONE SINGLE ITEM IN YET. I immediately called uhaul and they transferred me over to roadside assistance. I explained everything to the man and he gave me the reference number 677843. He said since i had purchased the insurance that i could drive the van back to where i had gotten it and they would give me another one without any cost. When i returned the van Darius Weatherspoon Sr. was the one i spoke too. ON TOP OF HIM BEING RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL HE LIED ON THE INCIDENT REPORT AND SAID SOMETHING WAS THROW THRU THE GLASS BACK PASSENGER WINDOW And yes everything was spelled incorrectly. I did tell him that my apartment complex had been mowing but i never once said someone intentionally had thrown something through the window. if that were the case wouldnt the glass have already been broken before i had opened the door?! He then said that I would have to pay a 150 dollar deductible fee for the window. First off, when i paid the insurance fee it stated that it would cover up to 10,000 in damages. Second off, I MYSELF DID NOT DAMAGE THE VAN AT ALL!!!!!! I BELIEVE IF ANYTHING I SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED FOR THE VAN WINDOW SHATTERING BEFORE I COULD EVEN USE IT!!! and the worst part is that even though i was told by roadside assistance that i could have another van at no cost Mr. Darius Weatherspoon Sr. was going to charge me AGAIN for another van without even telling me! If I wouldnt have been paying attention to his computer screen he would have!! My boyfriend told him we were no longer going to use your service and go through another company. So after paying UHAUL $207.00 i still had not moved a single bit of my stuff and had to pay someone else to help me move. This has been the worst experience i have had with a company. I have used Uhaul for several years now, both for moving and storage and i have never had a problem until now. This has been absolutely ridiculous and I cant believe how the situation was handled. WHY? I got directions on line & it said they were open till 5pm. I rushed over so i could make it b4 they closed. But at 4:45 when i pulled up they where locking the door?!?!? Wow.... they wouldnt take the 2 or 3 min it would have took 2 fill my propane tank!!! So i guess closing 15min early was worth a bad review?!.!. Im betting the owner doesnt think so!!!!!
