When my furniture arrived, it exceeded my expectations. I’m so pleased with the design and finishes that Ben MacRae in the Naperville store helped me select. Quality can take time. In my case, it was 4 months between ordering and delivery. Being able to customize the shape, wood selection, color, and style was worth the wait. It’s been a long time since I was so thrilled with a purchase. It’s perfect!

I stopped today shopping for a furniture piece we could use a a coffee bar in our kitchen. I was met by Ben and he was welcoming and very helpful in finding a piece that would work for our needs and within our budget. He helped my husband and I narrow our options to find the best choice. Beautiful selection of quality American made furniture. Customer service from the sales team was great - they were very helpful and not pushy at all. In fact, the gentlemen who assisted us was patient while we made our decision (which took a couple of days). The furniture here is $$$ but you get what your pay for - solid wood construction with high end materials. The actual furniture arrived earlier than expected and has been a great conversation piece for years now ( and it has held up great despite having a full house and three pets). Will definitely be coming back here for more quality furniture and highly recommend this anyone looking to furnish their homes.

I would highly recommend Penny Mustard in Naperville. I worked with Christina, and she was fantastic. This was my first time ordering custom furniture, and she was very patient with all my questions and took her time to help me pick out the right upholstery for my new couch, ottoman, and pillows. She took into consideration my style of design and went out of her way to make sure that everything would coordinate, including finding some greenery in the store to place near my fabric swatches to represent the greenery I will have in my home. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. She was very professional, and anyone who works with her would be very lucky. I would request to work with her again on any future purchases from Penny Mustard!

I came in with very little idea of what kind of seat I wanted. All I knew was that it needed to be small... Christina greeted me at the door. She was wonderful!! Like I said, I didnt know what I wanted (plus I was a bit nervous about buying actual furniture), so thankfully we just chatted for a while which was nice! I saw the chairs in the front of the store, but they were all too big or out of my price range, so she had me look at a few smaller chairs, but none stuck really well. We found a swivel chair that would have worked, but I wasnt crazy about it. We started talking about ordering my own chair. She described what different fabrics change about the furniture, how they need to be cleaned differently, and that I could choose what I wanted! She was so knowledgeable, and she made it seem like a breeze! Still, I was a bit nervous about ordering a piece, so she just kept showing me more chairs. Finally, she showed me to one last chair that was just right! With her help, I loaded it into my hatchback and took it home on the spot! Could not be happier with the chair or Christina!

I really like this location. Its set up well in little rooms and the associates are helpful, but dont follow you around the store, which I appreciate.

My wife and I have been searching for that QUALITY recliner (one for each of us) for about 3 months. We hit all of the highly commercialized stores, but never found our 100% perfect recliner; meaning we would be settling for less than perfection... Though we drove by Penny Mustard Furnishings many, many times, we never really considered it because the name made no sense and it looked a bit too expensive. We did not find THE recliner we wanted at a competitor of PMF, but they recommended we look there! We were kindly greeted and Laura Show (our sales person) asked us exactly what we were looking for. She showed us 3 next to each other (not 100% what we wanted) and went to her sales counter while we looked at the 3 chairs. She came back for our input about the chairs (clearly taking notes about our likes/dislikes of these 3 recliners). She took us to a couple of other chairs and refined our desired recliner features and style. After a trip to her sales desk, Laura came back with 2 extremely close perfect matches and then the AHHHHHHHH recliner! It was 100% perfect and no settling... One other thing Laura showed us were cutouts of Ours and Theirs furniture... Theirs had minimal support and used plywood for the frame, but ours used solid Maple wood with clearly excellent support!I have never written a review this long, but have for Penny Mustard because after looking for so long and not stopping in there I thought others might feel the same way. Stop here second and you will not go to a third store!

Will and Marsha, at the Naperville store are outstanding employees, as are Annie in Orland and Steve in Downers Grove. My purchase was a group effort. The counter chairs I wanted were discontinued, yet they located 3 for me, from 3 different stores. Will and Marsha did a tremendous amount of paperwork to make my purchase happen, as 3 items were delivered and I was able to pickup 2 items. They asked employees at the other stores to email pictures of the chairs to me so I could see they were the same as the one I had brought home.The delivery guys were careful and personable, and arrived early. As the old futon was purchased at Penny Mustard, they put the new cover on the new mattress and deposed of the old futon mattress.I am very happy with my purchases, and very appreciative of all the time spent to make this happen.Great store and great employees.

Our experience in the store with Ann Michel was outstanding. We were given the appropriate amount of space and support while shopping making it a no pressure experience. When we decided to purchase, Ann was very helpful and courteous. Our chairs were completed ahead of schedule and delivered by two very kind and professional delivery men. We just couldnt decide and were also shopping elsewhere. We always take a long time to make decisions, so this was not unusual for us. There seem to be too many choices. We were looking for a couch that was shorter in the seat depth. One can choose between the styles such as height of arm rests, the thickness of cushions on so on. Not to mention the fabric. And after much searching and comparing stores. we finally decided on Penny Mustard. Their furniture is so well made with reinforcements, extra support etc. Marsh was so very patient with us as we asked so many questions and letting us take the time we needed to decide. Guiding where she could without being overbearing or pushy. When decision was made she was more than helpful in picking material and legs and pillows. I feel she went over and above to help us. I have been looking for a dresser, but the quality of dressers at others stores/manufacturers does not come close to the quality and workmanship seen at Penny Mustard. My family and I visited Penny Mustard in Naperville on 6/2/20. We had previously visited the location in Merrillville IN. So, the trip to the Naperville location was order and finalize what we wanted, but we wanted to look around at what this location had to offer. Upon entering we were met by a salesperson name Benjamin. He introduced himself and asked what we were looking for. Told him we were moving into our new home and looking to furnish every room but starting with the bedrooms and living area. He TOLD us he wanted to start with the living area, opposed to asking us where we would like to start. He was VERY pushy! Nice, but pushy. Several times we informed him that we wanted to look around amongst ourselves to discuss ideas as a family. He didnt grant that request. Whenever he did give us a little time he quickly appeared behind us giving us random unnecessary facts about items we were not interested in. He made us very uncomfortable to the fact that we just left the store without ordering anything. My husband is very patient but it was running out. When we visited the Merrillville location the salesperson was very helpful and gave us time to talk amongst ourselves. If this was our first Penny Mustard experience we would not be going back, but luckily it isnt. We will be ordering from the Merrillville location.

While my merchandise is still on order, the service with Penny Mustard has been superb! My inquiries about the desk and hutch I ordered were answered promptly, and the selection and prices were the best Ive seen for a desk set this beautiful. i would highly recommend Penny Mustard to anyone looking for high quality, unique furniture at a reasonable price.

Some of their products have a warranty of over 200 years.The craftsmanship and quality of materials are unmatched by any other furniture Store Ive ever seen. The only true downside is that many of the Styles offered feel Antiquated or too rustic for a modern home. If youre looking for something that feels more old-fashioned that will last you longer than you will live, then this is definitely the place for you.

Furniture takes WEEKS until delivery. Communication during this time was poor and promise date was missed. Once furniture arrived, my salesperson said it was going to be another week to get on delivery schedule because truck was out of state. I told him I was really disappointed and all he said was sorry about that and didnt look into it further. The more I thought about the $8000 we spent, the more disappointed I was....I called back, asked for a supervisor, said we were considering cancelling and they did make it better...the furniture was delivered the next day (today). Delivery guys were super nice. Nice, quality pieces. The owners should look at this and streamline the ordering/delivery process with better communication and shorter wait times. They almost lost a customer, but Ill consider them in the future since in the end they got it to us.

Penny Mustard at Naperville has a very poor customer servicesThey think that people always will believe that is the condition of the wood. Damage product is not a wood finish .Repair product is a normal business for this company .Who wants to have a product that will be repaired??If that’s case why you should pay thousands of dollars for repaired furniture ?The quality is not consistent and they don’t care for the customer. When you talk to them you feel like you are talking to the wall.
