We are new to the area and needed to have an inspection done and could not be happier with the service, from check in until check out. Exceptional customer service, keeping us posted continuously on what was going on with our vehicle and communication with the technicians. To top things off we were able to enjoy a great cup of coffee and a snack in the waiting room which was clean and well stocked.

I have taken both my cars to Honest-1 Auto Care on more than one occasion and the entire staff is very professional. After trying to get an inspection at a few other places, I ended up at Honest-1. I didnt have an appointment so I had to wait, but the waiting area is lovely (complete with a kids room, refreshments, and places to set your laptop to do some work). The guys were clear about the timing and got me through as soon as they could. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I came in for a standard oil change and was aware of an alignment issue with my vehicle. I have an old truck that needed an inspection and some work done in order to pass that inspection. Adam, the young man at the counter scheduled the work and explained very clearly what needed to be done and what the cost was. I needed to leave the vehicle to have the work done and I was offered a ride to and from my home which was very kind of them. When I picked my old truck up quite to my surprise, Adam had been able to apply a discount to the final total of the bill and save me a nice little chunk of change. These guys are kind and courteous, the shop is clean and well maintained, the techs do the work in a timely manner. I will use these guys for all my repairs in the future. I also brought my can am spyder in for an inspection and was in-and-out quickly. Great place to get inspections done.

A friend recommended Honest-1. I am so glad I followed their advice. Everyone there was so nice and they got my car done in the time they quoted me. It was also significantly cheaper than other shops I had been to before. They have soda and coffee area with t big screen TV which made the wait very nice. Ill be going to back for sure from now on.

Trying to find the right shop for your vehicle can be difficult. At Honest-1, the customer service really does live up to its name. All the staff members explain, in detail, what service you truly need for your vehicle and WHY. Adam, in particular, has an incredibly positive attitude that leaves you driving away with peace of mind knowing your money was well spent on quality service. This was my first time going to Honest-1 which came highly recommended. I will always use them for all my automotive repair needs in the future. Bob and Adam were wonderful. Adam went above and beyond to explain what was wrong with my car and breakdown the repairs and cost. Apparently I have been bringing my car to a shop that was very Inexpensive but you know that saying “you get what you pay for” and From now on I will be paying for quality parts and actual repairs. Car wanted a B-service and I had some notes from a previous service at a brand dealer that’s nearly an hour away from where we live in Mooresville.After researching online a bit for most convenient location and comprehensive car service shops I decided on Honest-1 Auto Care: not a chain, clean appearance and presentation online and also the shop which I’ve noticed driving by numerous times. Great reviews. I like their name, also was impressed by their policies on quality, being green, conveniences including loaner car and shuttle service.That good impression carried through when talking to the owner, Bob, as well as our service advisor, David, who took care of our car’s service. John and Adam who answered some of my calls were also super helpful. They consulted me on all my little niggles and concerns patiently and with great expertise, advised on tire replacement I hadn’t expected. They concisely and clearly explained why, presented multiple choices upon request with helpful input to make my decision. Thought I had a brakes issue but they reassured and showed me they were perfect.I’m not an easy guy to please, been a service advisor myself.They were great. And the previously noted concerns they checked, listed them on my bill and explained why they were not required. Very thorough also in reviewing all completed repairs with me before accepting payment. Alignment numbers before/after shown and explained.Great place, will go there going forward. Highly recommend.

I generally liked coming here but when I had changed my spark plugs and was told they were bad and I put too much anti seize grease on them when I used 1 small packet on 6 spark plugs Im calling bull on that and wont be bringing my car back there. A 200 dollar job turned out to be almost 1000.00 because they wanted to replace brand new spark plugs. I needed some suspension work done and told them if this was a easy fix Id give them the job. These plugs had less than 50 miles on them and you told me they needed replacement thats bs. Sorry. I dont like leaving negative reviews and the people I dealt with were great. This review on Google says it was 4 month ago its actually posted on 6/2/21 and my check ✔ engine light is back on yesterday. Ill take it somewhere else.

The first time I called and made an appointment I waited over an hour and then left because they hadnt started my oil change yet. I was a bit frustrated but they apologized profusely, so I rescheduled and tried again.Today, I had my re scheduled appointment. I let them know what happened last time and they did everything to get my business for life am nd make up for the last time.My oil change was done in less than an hour. They explained an issue that I should keep an eye on and made me feel like they were truly invested in the maintenance of my vehicle and ensured that I understood what they were saying. They were kind, professional and extremely thorough. They even left a little cookie snack in my car for me when I picked it up!! Hands down the BEST experience I have had at an auto shop in my life. Honest 1 has got my business for life. I highly recommend them!!!!

The folks at Honest-1 were amazing! Not only did they fix the issues that I brought my van in for, but they also pointed out a few other small things that I had not noticed and still only charged me for the original repairs I was quoted. They even got my van finished a day early than what they originally said.

I was referred here by a friend. Took a few hours longer than anticipated, but to my knowledge the service done is excellent. I will be returning in the future to have more services performed on my Hyundai Sonata, which isn’t built to easily access many different parts of the vehicle, so job well done!! ;)Side note: I honestly dislike the service fee, as customers on a budget can’t afford to waste $45, so even if you desperately need the service work done, you feel obligated to immediately pay for the service on that same day, to avoid throwing away money.In my 38yrs of living, I have never experienced or heard of a shop adding in an extra charge for their “shop supplies” as this is usually apart of “labor costs” that cost way more than actual parts. Very strange!I would have also appreciated them showing me my old brake pads & rotors, as I see they’ve done for other customers, that way I’d feel more assured that I picked an honest place to take car of my car that day and in the future!! But I know my coworker wouldn’t bring me somewhere to be screwed again, that helped ease my mind!! :)

After many years of searching for a reliable, and honest mechanic, my car has found a home. I have never experienced a business that cares about their customers and the service they provide as Honest 1. This establishment is the most honest and personable group of people I have ever met. I have dealt with other establishments in Iredel county, and they were horrible, not listening to me, and overcharging for the shoddy work they did. It is a great relief to know you can depend on the honesty and the work that is done by Bob, John, Dave, Adam and the crew.

We needed work on our vehicles and hadn’t had attention on them since moving from New York. You can imagine being from New York all the shadiness that you get up there. Our cars were really getting behind in maintenance and beginning to show signs of wear. I have never been to to a car repair shop that was on point in every area from customer service to repair and the offerings of accommodation to help me stay working. Like the name says, they were very honest and didn’t beat around the bush. I worked with Adam and he and I instantly became friends. From the loaner vehicle to the easy payment option and fair pricing I recommend this place to all.

I’m a single woman. I went to this establishment because my healthcare office I work in is close by. I figured “honest” would be what I get. My driver window was stuck halfway down. It had been raining. Mind you- my car is probably worth $2000 if I’m lucky. So, I drop my car off. 😬 I get a call explaining ALL the things wrong with my car. Woman = payday. I tell the man I just need the window UP. He proceeds to tell me both windows would be $1300. Just the driver window $916. Again, the car is worth $2000. So I ask to just have the WINDOW PUT UP. They can’t. It won’t stay up blah blah blah. Dude-jerry rig it! It’s 100 degrees outside. NOPE. They charged me $162 to tell me that basically my car is junk. Today I drove home covered in sweat. Plus-I’m $162 in the negative. They should change their name to bs auto care. I’m a healthcare worker that has been serving others and they basically rip me off. That was grocery money for a little more than a week. Thanks

Canceled my appointment 9 minutes before I was supposed to be there because people called out and there were no mechanics. I work 60+ hours a week and planned for this service day. Got up early on a planned day off. Had my car detailed the day before on my lunch break so it would be pristine after the service. They wanted to reschedule me for a following Tuesday... which I work during the week so not ideal. So I was offered Saturday a week from my original appointment which unfortunately I had agreed to pick up a shift to help a friend that weekend. Also, If the whole crew called out this Saturday what means they won’t next Saturday? I guess it was not meant to be. I understand things happen but unfortunately a bad day for a first impression. You can’t win them all. I will look elsewhere for my service needs on my Mini Cooper.

As if they normally wouldnt be straight forward from the beginning. As if every other time the dont use those words, its not the truth. Imagine if your attorneys firm resembled that same name... Or even your doctor.... Should it just be understood, and/or used as a slogan?But to be honest, what do I know??...

I find honest 1 to be very professional and like their name very honest. Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They called and told me that I had a nail in my tire and it would cost $25 to patch it I said no problem. When I went to pick up the car they told me that when they removed the nail and there was no leak in th tire. They didn’t charge me since there was no leak. I really appreciated their honesty. Asked them for oil change and diagnosis of rubbing and pinging. Came back to an $1800+ Estimate and oil change was not done. Did complete oil change but after taking car to dealer suggested coolant flush had been done (by them but records were not checked) front suspension arm ($500) was not the problem, it was rear shocks and struts. Both air filters needed to be changed (not suggested by Honest Auto). Will probably not return.

They would not honor the price on coupons (mailers) that did not have an expiration date on them. Service was fine, but a lot more than advertised price.

DO NOT GO HERE BY ANY MEANS! I went here because I had a check engine light that came up as a bad Vapor canister and sensor. After 3 hours of waiting they tell me the total is going to be $1,700 (right after charging me $150 for a diagnostic test). I leave knowing this is a rip-off and go to my savor, Brawley Tire Automotive in Mooresville. They did everything for $600 flat and a free alignment check. F%#$ Honest-1. Dont let them try to screw you over like they tried to me, dudes are a JOKE. If anyone wants actual proof, I have both the bills :)

Read all the amazing reviews on this place and was happy to find a local shop. Dropped off my wife’s truck with specific requests for an alignment and new brakes.Staff was nice and cordial.Picked up the truck about 15 minutes before they closed to give them plenty of time to work on it.Upon picking up the truck, I was told the alignment was only off by a little bit so they didn’t perform it. I was also told that my brakes were fine and that they were glad to look at them again if I insisted.Brakes are literally grinding and alignment is way off.I would have had a much better impression with this place if someone would have been honest to admit that they just didn’t have time to get to it.An entire day coordinated around dropping off and picking up a vehicle, being out of a vehicle only to realize that it was all a waste of time.

I went in for a wheel alignment after finding some uneven wear on my tires. They checked the alignment and went over the report with me in detail. After explaining that an alignment takes several hours on my car, I scheduled for a few days later. The work done was explained to me and the price was very fair. I will definitely bring my car back here in the future.

The staff is polite and courteous and the waiting area is very clean with refreshments, however my experience wasnt that great.I took my vehicle in for an inspection with no issues expected as I have a newer vehicle. After waiting for an hour they informed me that my vehicle failed my inspection saying I need 2 new rear tires due to treads being too low. I will say that my treads are not worn evenly due to whomever had the vehicle before me did not rotate them properly, however they are safe and nowhere near ready to be replaced. I feel like they were attempting to take advantage of this uneven wear in order to sell me a couple tires to get it to pass inspection.I expressed my disagreement at the time but to no avail and ended up having to pay $23 and change for the failed inspection. I then took my vehicle to another place of business and passed inspection with no issues. I even told them to check my back tires.I had a conversation with the owner later in the week and he was pleasant, offering a refund if I wanted to come back and have them check the tires again, however I didnt want to waste any more of my time.Everyone has their own opinion of course, I sure there will be a response to this review by the owner talking about safety and some measurement of tire tread. However Ive been driving in all this rain weve been having with no issues, driving up in the snow in the mountains with no issues, and another place of business agreed that the tires met the state requirements.I feel my vehicle was purposely failed in order to sell me tires and I dont appreciate it. I will not be giving this establishment any more of my hard earned money.

Had a major brake repair to my VW Vanagon. Heard some slight squealing on a trip. I called and John asked me to bring it down the next day. Been there a couple times very knowledgeable and thorough with me before starting any service done. They worked on my brakes and my thermostat in car no problem with either but definitely make an appointment super speed up the process

We waited a ridiculously long time for the service much longer than what they originally told us! At times that is understandable but at the time it was very inconvenient! However they did compensate us with a good price afterwards.

Well, Im a little concern about the upsell of services and charging OEM part prices for aftermarket parts. They seem super nice and professional, but not sure about the honesty on the pricing. Double check your stuff and question the costs. Mechanics seem very good.

Set up an appointment to have my Air Conditioning checked on my daughters 2011 VW Jetta. Brought the vehicle in at the specified time and they incrementally diagnosed the issue with the vehicle. It was determined that we would need to replace the compressor and would require us to bring it back after the parts were ordered and received. We scheduled the appointment for the following week. We were asked to pay for the parts up front, which we did. I brought the car in at the specified time only to. find out the parts were not there and I wasted my time driving to and from the shop. We rescheduled for a few days later. When i picked up the car the service manager brought up an issue that my battery (2 months old) wasnt registering and this was causing my alternator to not provide full capacity. They recommended I take the battery back to the Firestone dealer where it was installed or to VW. The AC was not cooling very well even with the new compressor. Honest-1 said that was due to the battery issue. The next 24 hours brought me two trips to Firestone, one to VW and two return trips to Honest-1. Firestone and VW showed me documentation that this model didnt have a battery registration process and most likely Honest-1 didnt do a thorough job on the compressor installation. Firestone also conferenced me with Interstate Battery service center to confirm the situation. After spending $1,200 on this repair it was very clear the expertise level of the Honest-1 techs wasnt on par with the VW or Firestone team members. Unfortunately it took me multiple trips between home, Mooresville and Concord to get the situation resolved.Honest 1 did make an attempt to look at the car again but I felt it wasnt of any value to me if they didnt get it write the first three times they had the car. An expensive lesson for me.

The mechanics had no clue why my car had the brake issue and I figured it out within seconds of looking at it and fixed that’s why I failed a inspection and the rude lady behind the service counter kept giving me lip and attitude on why it failed and the mechanics kept reving my car because it had a exhaust on it and I felt like they had no care about the car or me. Overall a place that takes advantage of the situation at hand went once about a year ago was good service but i guess not anymore

Where do I even start?! From the moment I called, this past Saturday, until I walked out of there, my experience was amazing!! The friendly voice on the phone, was one of the owners and he was so kind! As soon as I walked in and handed them my keys, I was informed that there might be a chance they cant align my vehicle! And he explained to me exactly why! Sure enough, I was told I would have to take it to a Mercedes dealer! Even though, they still checked the alignment, to see if it was okay! While I sat and waited, I watched them check out two happy, pleased, and grateful customers!! I also heard Jon, the owners son, explain everything, in detail, about exactly what was wrong with their vehicles! Now it was my turn! Jon did the same thing for me!! This place has impeccable customer service and I try to support local businesses!! Why? Because I absolutely love the passion and care of a locally owned business!! When I got in my vehicle, there was a post card with a mini pack of Oreos! Sometimes its exactly those little things, that set certain places apart! It was such a pleasant experience and I will absolutely be back!!!

Stopped by for a state inspection. Staff was very welcoming. The business was very clean and the staff was knowledgeable and made appropriate recommendations without any pressure. I normally go to Grease Monkey for service but will consider coming to Honest-1 Auto Care. Give them a try.

I just needed a vehicle inspection for my registration. I called to make an appointment for that day, Paula was pleasant and efficient.My visit was short, but I used their customer waiting area. It was clean & quiet. Everyone there was exceptionally courteous. I’d recommend Honest to everyone.

These guys are great! I found them using a Google search. I am always reluctant about car repairs but I read some of the reviews. I had a 1996 import that I thought needed a new brake switch which engages the back Stop lights. I called them and someone actually answered the call and told me to just bring the car in early and they would see what work needed to done and he said they would give me a quote. I didnt realize how close this business was to my home; only a few miles away. I got there and was pleasantly surprised to see a very nice waiting area with comfortable chairs, a flat screen TV, Wireless, and coffee and snacks. I was able to get some work done while waiting a short time to get my quote and the price was right in line with what I had expected (a little over $200). They then asked me if I wanted to wait or, they could drop me off at my house AND pick me up when ready. Not only did I get door to door taxi service, but when they brought me back to get my car, they told me that it was actually less than what they quoted. They said I did not need a new switch, just another small inexpensive part. The guys stand up to their name of Honest -1 and they were nice and pleasant to do business with. I have several cars and I will surely go back to let these guys service my vehicles.

I loved the kids area as well as how it doesnt feel like the waiting room of an auto shop. They offer complimentary coffee, water, soda. There are crackers if you need a snack. There is a place to change my sons diaper in the bathroom which is very clean and the smell reflects that.We had to get a couple things done on our van and as a result would be without a vehicle until the work was done. Or so I thought. They had a loaner car that we got to use for free (just replace the gas you used).We didnt have it long, though as our van was ready the next morning.I also forgot to mention that after they checked out our van, they had me come back to show me what they found and answered all of my questions. They were very nice and knowledgeable.The only reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5 is because the one thing I cant honestly comment on is their pricing. Im not sure if theyre good prices or if theyre a little higher than other places. But I do know you get a 36 month/36,000 warranty on the work theyve done to your vehicle FOR FREE.Love this place!

This was my first time of using Honest-1 for my oil change. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a clean office area and a clean shop area. The technicians were helpful and very informative. They showed me my tires were in need of replacement and also a leak I had under the car. They never pushed me into making additional appointments, but were more focused on safety. I would strongly recommend Honest-1.

1 Honest Rip Off Damaged My Vehicle. I wish I would have read the similar, negative, reviews on Google as opposed to relying on the positive Yelp reviews. Brought a 5 year old vehicle in to diagnose a leak from the engine compartment which turned out to be power steering fluid. $1,300+ later, my vehicle was returned with a new radiator (which supposedly needed to be replaced as part of a power steering fluid cooler along with an AC charge), and a power steering fluid system flush including new fluid. Day one I noticed the worst air pocket noise coming from the cooling system. We brought the vehicle back immediately to be told its fine, which it most certainly was not. Fair enough, I bled the system properly, myself, and the problem went away. 1 Honest Rip Off did not tighten the thermostat housing bleeder screw all of the way.Weeks later, as Im following my wife driving this vehicle, I notice the fender lip trip about to blow off on the highway!!!! When she pulled over, we noticed that the trim rivets were not replaced!!!! I called 1 Honest Rip Off who said that the fasteners must have been thrown away?!?! What kind of monkey pulls a bumper cover off for maintenance, puts it back on, and throws away half of the fasteners that hold it and the abutting trim pieces in place? I asked 1 Honest Rip Off to order these rivets for me. They stated that I must bring the vehicle in for them to identify exactly which trim rivets were needed as there are hundreds of different kinds. I explained to this complacent, non communicative, woman on the phone that there was in fact only one rivet with one part number which I sent her both the part number and OEM parts image to order via email. Refusing to take any ownership of their mistakes, or order OEM replacement parts, my wife went back a 3rd time where they used a cheap Chinese Non OEM replacement rivet. Looks like a shoemaker did the work!So now with stress cracks in the fender trim paint from flopping in the breeze, I go to the dealer for an oil change. Everything checks out except the fact that the power steering fluid is original to the vehicle and too dirty to be used. So I paid for a flush and new fluid when in fact they did not do the work.It gets better: at my wits end, I bring the vehicle back for the fourth time after a new coolant leak appears. Assuming this is related to the work they did so poorly. As if these people havent done enough damage, they quote $900 for a new water pump and thermostat housing. Why on earth would I let them further damage my vehicle? I Ordered an OEM replacement water pump for just over $100 and did the work myself, CORRECTLY, in 1 hour and 20 minutes. In the process of doing the work CORRECTLY, and reinstall ALL of the fasteners related to the work WITHOUT THROWING ANY AWAY, I noted missing rivets on the radiator trim cover and one of the upper radiator hose hose clamps was only finger tight. Never Again.Deceitful, Unethical, Unprofessional, Incompetent, Disappointing.

They told me I needed to change my full synthetic oil every 5000 miles but then when I went to the dealership, Lexus stated that the manufacturer recommends changing the full synthetic oil every 10,000 miles. When I called Honest one and recommended that they inform their customers whenever they go against the recommendation of the manufacturer, they did not agree to do this. Ironic to be named Honest one but be so dishonest.

Honest 1 auto care is the most courteous and thorough auto care I have ever used in my life. If you have anyone else work on your car or truck, your missing out on the best service you can get.
