Without exaggeration it is literally the most expensive liquor store I have shopped in. I live in the area, and skip the convenience factor because it is that expensive. Most items are 20-30% more expensive than your average SMALL liquor store, even. Go somewhere else.

So the store displayed a 1993 Dom Perignon wine box and sold me with a 2003 bottle with 230$. Which the current value of a 2003 Dom Perignon is 160$. The cashier refused to refund. What a scam.

A rude and unkind clerk. Of course it is very much overpriced and lack of selections. Beers in fridge were not cool at all. Floor is filthy.it seems never cleaned. Also the cashier didnt wear face mask at all. Never visit again. Terrible service and attitude. Dont want to give even one star. They should change ownership or close the store.

The worker made me leave my backpack in the front, which is understandable, but he didn’t ask the same of other students who came in after me and he was kinda rude about it. Also the prices really suck. Never going back

Unethical seriously - Great job on stopping the teenage thief last night. The high school kid was not going to run and looked scared. The kid had stolen a bottle of something in his backpack, so I understand your frustration. You are crazy lucky that kid didnt press charges. The choke hold you had him in was impressive until you made him pass out and dropped his head on the ground. The kid was so disorientated and scared I pray you didnt cause any damage. Dont take the law into your own hands. You threatened the kid and scared him, but you seriously could have hurt someone. There was a cop car two blocks away just make the phone call.

Not very much ValU in this place. Prices are dollars above average, smaller selection, and overall not so great. Just go to Dinkytown Wine and Spirits. Its not very far away and is much better.

Theres no reason for the high prices here when the nearby Dinkytown liquor store is able to have reasonable prices. Then they overcharged my card on top of the already high prices. Completely unacceptable. Selection is decent enough for the size, but really, youre better off going elsewhere if you can.

0 stars if I could. I guess rarity in selection must be the only catalyst that drives up their prices by almost 60% to the competitor thats 10 blocks away. Horrible smell when you get in. Abysmal selection. Prices that look like someone got drunk with the price gun and started everything with an automatic 1 in the 10s place. Worst. Liquor. Store. Ever.

The Profile Event Center (our wedding venue) recommended Valu Liquors to us - DO NOT use them because they will rip you off at every turn. They charged my credit card for way higher than the quote they gave, saying that it was because the price of beer had changed after they quoted it (they never told me about the change in price before charging my credit card). Then they charged me anther $60 saying that it was for CO2 (again, they never told me this in the quote, or before charging my card). Then, the biggest scam - EVEN THOUGH on the website of the Event Center it says that they Valu Liquors take back untapped kegs, they dont. Its just a bait and switch. Im out several hundreds of dollars because I worked with Valu Liquors based on the recommendation from the Event Center.

This is a store where you can buy beers and liquor for about 150% of what youd pay for the same stuff at Dinkytown Wine/Spirits, which is about a 10-minute walk away. If you have the extra money, live across the street, and youre lazy, this is the store for you.
