Hums has the best customer service and made my purchase very personable. I will be celebrating my 10 year Anniversary and was so happy to find a couple rare bottles at Hums. Humms liquors has been a staple in my life since 1975. My father used to bring us in the back of the car to go in and come back out . I was fortunate to work security this last weekend for the new owners of hums liquor. They have kept up the honorable statement of being a Staples in the community. She immediately asked if she could help and when I mentioned a bourbon I have had my eye out for smiled and pulled one out. Honestly couldnt believe the generosity and price. They have a great selection and from this experience I will 100% be a returning customer.

Hums is a must visit!I spoke with the owner of Hums the day before my visit regarding Eagle Rare 10 Year - she was very polite and helpful. As just about every store in Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs is out of stock, I was pleased to hear that Hums did have it in stock. I got to the store and got the bottle (as well as Weller Special Reserve and Larceny Barrel Proof). I have never seen Larceny Barrel Proof in any store in Minneapolis so this was a must buy! The bottles were not MSRP, but were very well priced. I am thrilled with this purchase. I will 100% sure be back at Hums. The staff are friendly, the variety is great - its a must visit!

Im one of the many avid Bourbon and Rye whiskey enthusiasts in the city. I stopped in here to check out their selection and in search of some special bottles. I was met by Lee and her team who were all incredibly kind. Lee asked what I was looking for and pointed out some good bourbon they had, while I had tried most of them she offered me the privilege of some bottles that were more exclusive. All she asked in return was to leave a nice word for her and her team and to come back and visit again. They have an incredible selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Their service was incredible. More than anything, the kindness Lee showed me being a first time customer looking for things that are highly sought after and coming through for me made the experience here second to none. Glad to say I recommend Hums and will be a regular moving forward. Cant believe I had this great shop in my backyard the last three months after moving to the neighborhood. Absolute gem. Hums has always been great, and the 2017 renovations make the store look INCREDIBLE! I quote the longtime hums employee by saying, Its like the liquor store went to the mall! At night, it looks like a little city.

This is a great liquor store to come visit in the heart of Minneapolis. the staff is warm and friendly and when you walk through the door youll be amazed by the floor-to-ceiling displays of liquor beer and wine. the prices are very fair in the selection is very with everything from the legendary white claw to a nice Pinot Grigio in a box. you should definitely stop here and try this place before you go to the bar.

What can I say about this liquor store. Amazing selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Lee helped find amazing bottles of whiskey and took care of me. Really great selection of bourbons and ryes. How many liquor stores in the twin cities can you walk into and leave with a Blantons AND a Weller Antique? ...Only one that I know. Hums is the best!

Thankfully I live in the area and dont have to travel far to make it Hums, but i definitely would!They have an awesome selection of beer, wine, and liquor at reasonable prices. The stores layout is easy to navigate and everything was fully stocked.The staff was extremely helpful and professional - I just wish I would have caught the staff members name who helped me so I could give them a shout out. I would recommend going to Hums to anyone in the metropolitan area.

Hums is a small family owned liquor store with a nice ambience. I would have gave it 5 stars but their pricing is higher than surrounding liquor stores. Still a convenient place to walk to and the folks are friendly. 👍

Cool place, busy and fun music. A bit pricier than competitors.

First off, Hums used to be my place not too long ago when Ray (beer buyer) was still around and used social media almost daily to post new beer updates but hasn’t been the same since. Tough to social distance at Hums which is a pretty small store but was disappointed to see all but one employee not wearing masks. Hopefully Hums gets the picture regarding safety of their employees and customers when the new law goes into place in a few days. Lastly, Hums has a small parking lot in back and they could easily offer curbside pickup to eliminate foot traffic in their smaller sized store if they put the effort into making it happen.

My wife and I stopped in to Hums on July 4th on the recommendation of a friend, and we weren’t disappointed. Hums is a great place for rare finds and service. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised by the great selection, and came out with two very hard to find bottles, Willet’s Rare Release Rye and Blanton’s. Neither were priced to gouge her customers. In fact, she knew the Willet’s was priced $35 below a local competitor. We’ll definitely be making frequent stops at Hum’s.

Its a small corner liquor store with a surprisingly huge array of liquors. Especially I like the fact they have various kinds of (actual) Japanese liquor that are hard to find in other places. The owner is really nice and if theres ever a particular bottle that you cant find, she tries her best to order it within a week or two. Price wise it is fair but not too cheap though. But then again, you are paying for the quality

Hums Liquor has been an amazing find! New to Minneapolis, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming! They made my fiancee and I feel like locals within our first visit. Ray is their resident beer connoisseur, and he is incredible! He has a fantastic knowledge about local and national beers! We will definitely be regulars from now on.

Hums (post-renovation Hums) is amazing. I love having this be my local liquor store. The staff are really knowledgeable, have great and fun suggestions, and regularly host companies to sample their product in store. Compared to many other local liquor stores - they have an excellent beer selection with wonderful craft beers across the country. Ive found many wonderful new beers there. They also have a specific section devoted to organic wines!

If youre hoping for miles upon miles of selections, then youre better off at a bottle barn.Hums is a cute corner liquor store, but the selection they have is quite impressive. Domestic, imported, red, white, and rose, theres something there for the novice and the expert.In addition, they also have rums, whiskeys, beer, and coolers. Youre sure to find something you like here.For 2020, Im impressed how theyre responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone wears masks, gloves, and the employees are shielded behind plexiglass.

I love this place the staff is extremely nice and they sincerely care about their business. I asked them if they had a beer... They didnt, but they offered to order it. It is that kind of personal touch that personally makes me want to go back to a business. I also love their decor and design. The light fixtures are nifty.

Nice looking, some decent quality things you cant find elsewhere. Low on basic brands and flavors (eg Baileys only in normal and salted caramel).

Fantastic corner liquor store! This place is great because it has a well curated selection, the customer service is friendly and helpful, and it’s been recently remodeled and is quite stylish. The wine selection here—though small—is particularly impressive; the wines available are high quality picks.

Fantastic beer selection. Beer buyer spent 15 minutes with us showing off some new/limited stuff. Prices were ok, not the cheapest on normals but not exceptionally expensive either. Definitely worth stopping in if looking for interesting beer.

The owners are some of the nicest, friendlies proprietors Ive met, of any business! Everyone there is knowledgeable and can guide you to the right decision (I was looking over the Sake selection and was steered in the perfect direction!) and there are regular tastings from local companies. I had a very solid local liquor store in St Paul, and Ive found a solid surrogate in Hums!

Pretty much the best liquor store in Minneapolis. I remember Hums before it got remodeled l and it was pretty much a run of the mill liquor store.. some okay selection but you more would go there for conveniences sake. Now, not only does it LOOK impressive but a.) the selection of craft beers is absolutely mind boggling - one of the biggest craft beer selections Ive EVER seen, b.) the staff is way friendlier and more helpful and c.) the prices really are comparable to any other liquor store in the cities. I have a friend who just asked for them to carry a particular beer and they said they would look into it. That particular beer is now part of their permanent collection! You couldnt ask for a better shopping experience.

Under new management and with a complete re-model this is a completely new and gorgeous store! The street facing walls are floor to ceiling windows with posh exposed bulbs and the back walls are line with beautiful liquor bottles. Most everything in stock is on display, with one entire wall devoted to one of the best beer selections in town. Rey, their buyer, keeps the best seasonal, new, and local beer in stock and has reps in most weekends, Thursday-Sunday to do free samples of wine, liquor, and beer. Their wine selection is great too, and the staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable and will talk with you and give amazing recommendations. Even when the store is busy you can be helped by a staff member and know youll go home with something youll like. Wonderful new store!!

This is hands down one of the best liquor stores I have ever visited. The selection is top notch, theres never a shortage of craft, import, limited run, and seasonal selections. The service is really what sets Hums apart. From the management to the sales staff, they really go out of their way to provide an exceptional experience.

Good shop. Good selection. They no longer carry 30-racks of Hamms since they remodeled, and that is the only reason I do not give them five stars.
