Best place in Minneapolis to buy liquor for low price. You can get 12pk beers for $6 depending on the stock. The cheaper drinks are closer to their expiry date (usually 1-2 months before expiry) but still taste great.

This place has the best deals around! If youre okay with buying beer thats just starting to be out of season go here and stock up!

Extremely frustrating to shop here. as a dinkytown resident i frequent this venue at least once a week, and yet every week there are more and more restrictions to enter. today I stopped by to grab a bottle of wine and I was stopped at the door to prove I have my ID and that im 21. i asked why this policy is in place and its because shoppers forget their ID at home, which i understand, but also they check IDs at the register, so IDs get checked twice, which is a huge waste of time. then upon entering I was followed throughout the store because i had a target bag and a backpack on since I had just shopped at Target before stopping by. I was told I had to leave the bags at the front, so I was walked back to the front of the store and forced to leave my belongings which included my phone and wallet in my backpack at the front. I was told this is for safety, which I also understand, but please dont make me leave my belongings at the front, check them as customers enter instead, or have a detector at the front. Then to pay, the cashiers recite a whole speech at me about how they have to match my credit card to my ID, which is standard at most liquor stores, so theres no need to recite the whole thing for each customer especially because most of us shop here every week due to a lack of other liquor stores on campus. overall, I left the store extremely irritable at all of these new policies which are excessive at best. cant wait to move off campus and never support this business again.

Best liquor store in the twin cities by far!!!Mystery Beer is a fun treat when its in stock. This place has us willing to drive across the cities to scope out the deals. If youre not picky about what you drink, youre sure to find a great deal on beer or liquor!

Great deals every week on everything including beer, whine, and liquor. If youre looking for a great deals and dont really care what you end up with or have broad tests, definitely recommend. Their beer cave deals are also awesome, with most averaging 50 cents a bottle/can, which is a great deal. Additionally, every Thursday they have a mystery pack of beer for 10 dollars, which is fun and a great way to try and discover new beers.

I bought a bottle of Jake Daniels, I thought it was quite overpriced. There were cheaper whiskies three times the size but I couldnt resist it. The black Jake Daniels label sold it for me.I opened it up on the bus and sniffed it. I could smell piss and vomit but apart from the buses natural aroma I got hit up the nose with a nice spicy smell. I took a swig of it and immediately thought this was a good purchase. I put the lid on the bottle and dropped the rest of the passengers off before clocking off for the night.Once I got home It was almost game time. I got a glass out and poured the whiskey neat. I didnt want to spoil the flavor with ice. I started off strong. Drank the first 2 glasses like a fish. Somewhere into the 3rd glass the tide turned. I was getting worse for wear. I began mixing it with cocaine. I remember walking down the street yelling at randomers about how the Vikings will win the Super bowl. I blacked out soon after and woke up with a Packers logo tattooed across my forehead.All in all it was a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an A-level whiskey. I would give it 7/10.

The staff is really nice and knowledgeable. The discounts you wont be able to find anywhere. If you keep your eye out you will find the best deals on great quality alcohol. I highly recommend this place over any other liquor store.

This place is my fav. Every Thursday they get cases of mystery beer. Good craft stuff, New Belgium, Summit , Lift Bridge plus imports. along with this is an amazing amount of specials. In the last 6 months I have found Sierra Nevada, Ballast Point and Sam Adams cases for 10-12 bucks. Vino? Yeah I got your vino right here... Bottle and box specials from 4 to 10 dollars on stuff thats twice the price down the road. Booze? I got an Irish Whiskey, single malt pleated, I know Scotch right ... no Irish for 20.00 ,on line retail prices were in the 70s. I HIGHLY recommend this shop

Good pricing, no mark up for being so close the the University. They have a parking lot and most people who shop there dont drive so theres usually a spot. Somewhat smallish selection, but its not bad by any means. Very crowded on a Friday or Saturday night. Good place overall.

They ALWAYS have something on sale. If youre looking for a good deal, this is the place. Friday and Saturday nights are busy; the lines usually go quickly though. Selection is decent (post-remodel), and prices are almost always lower than other liquor stores in the area.

Great place, one of the cashiers was pretty stoned great guy! I look forward every Thursday night to solving a mystery (box) with the boys. Always coming back for more, 4 times a week! The ambiance is unreal, although their opening hours need some work.Although I have never been Im definitely coming back. My favorite memory at dinky is bringing our chef their on his 59th birthday the service was top notch. They didnt even ID anyone in his group! And they were children! I met my fiancee at dinky in the parking lot on waiting for dinky to open on a Sunday. We celebrate our anniversaries each year with a ceremonial Old Style and cig inside the store.

If the door sign says you’re open until 10PM, I expect you to be open until 10PM. Please change the door sign to reflect your actual open hours of whatever–9:55PM.That plus the markups will definitely make my drives over to Total Wine that much more delightful.

Cheapest place in town to get my preferred beverage. Went there the other night and was surprised to find the line extending all the way back to the far beer cooler. I wasn’t in any hurry so I stood in the line. If I had been in a hurry I would’ve been pretty happy because it only took about five minutes or less for them to ring up at least 20 people. Getting out of the parking lot well that’s another story entirely!

This is my favorite liquor store in the cities. Just dont go on a Friday or Saturday night. The place gets so packed you will be waiting in line for an hour. They recently redid the whole building and its really nice now. This place has great deals all the time.

Outstanding organization. I was overcharged on my kegs and didnt notice and they caught the error 10 days later. And instead of just keeping the money they called me and refunded me the difference.

This is a convenient location in Dinkytown. Highly frequented by U of M students so there may be lines on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The positives:- Free parking in lot (just dont park in McDonalds lot by mistake)- Cheap kegs- Speciality beer and drink deals that rotate every few weeks (ex. 12 bottles of 500 ml mead for $11.99)- Large liquor selection- Heavily discounted liquor/wine- Friendly staffThe drawbacks:- Low to mid-sized wine selection

Its a college liquor store, thats for sure. However, they still manage to have reasonable prices and have pretty good selection for most liquors.Sometimes gets incredibly busy, but thats just Friday and Saturday nights.Of course, it will be cheaper if you venture up to Roseville or away from campus. But for a campus liquor store, you cant really ask for more.

Lots of cheap (but slightly different flavors) of booze. Pretty fair prices compared to places like Surdyks. Good selection of local brews, as well.

Great selection of Liquor & Beer. Okay selection of wine. The people that work there are good, the store is clean, the line moves fast, and the prices are very good.

They always have a wide selection of discount bottles at the front of the store, great Thursday deals with the mystery packs of beer, and the prices are very reasonable. I also enjoy the frequency that they have different vendors to sample new things as it has turned me over to some great new drinks and cocktails.

Fairly good selection based on the size of the store, but the markups are fairly high since it is near a college campus.

Ive never been inside. I just use the store as a backdrop for pics w my family when visiting son @ the UM.

If your IDs expiration date was extended due to the state emergency, they still WILL NOT ACCEPT IT. Claimed that the extension is only for driving, and not for buying alcohol, which is complete BS because it is still a valid ID.

Unbeatable prices. Staff has been friendly all the times Ive been there. Friday, Saturday if you show from 9-10pm its busy, but where isnt.

I used to be a big fan of dinkytown wine and spirits but recently found out by a friend who used to work here that they had a manager who was inappropriate with employees and at times customers. When the co-owner was notified nothing was done. I can not suppprt a business that does not create a safe environment for employees and customers. I used to love getting beer here but now will pay slightly more to support a more ethical business.

They have a pretty extensive stock of craft beer and wine at reasonable prices but the best thing about them are their insane sale prices on craft beer. Every week, they have at least one or more types of out-of-season craft beer on sale when its either $6 for a 12-pack or $12 for a 24-pack. Very often these are seasonal variety packs. Never seen sale prices like these anywhere else in the Twin Cities.
