Wow! You order and pay right from your table which was awesome. Im a picky eater who needs certain ingredients removed and others added. I love being able to type it in and know it was going to be just what I wanted. And the food was good. My friends and I played a game at the table and never felt like we were in the way or that we were on a clock.

Honestly this is one of the best tasting breakfasts I’ve had in YEARS. The eggs are outstanding - the staff is super helpful and friendly - and the restaurant is SUPER CLEAN.Back again today for lunch - their fries are OUTSTANDING. Turkey Sandwich was solid too - outdoor seating is also clutch!

This place has some awesome vegan options. Their patty melts, burgers, pancakes and sausages are great. I ate here several times over a few days. The burger is almost like a vegan White Castle burger. The breakfast is solid and was really nice to have vegan pancakes and sausage, since its fairly rare. Some Just Egg to throw in the mix would be awesome. Anyway, its a great option for vegans who arent looking to eat kale all the time.

Ordered chicken and waffles with potatoes OBrian and a piece of banana bread. It was def way over priced costing 20 for the 3 chicken tenderloins over 1 waffle. The food was also burnt and unappealing. The banana bread was almost 4 For a small dry piece of bread. First and last time ordering

Ive always loved the bad waitress, but this week was almost certainly the last time I will be going there. We sat outside and the hostess told us to use the QR code/website supplied with the menus to order. Food was okay, service was absolute trash. We saw our waiter exactly twice times: to bring out our food & to bring out the check. No refills, no clearing dishes, etc. Then on our bill was a service fee of $18.00 to use THEIR website.This was not a tip or large group charge {there were 4 of us}. This was a convenience fee charged for us to use site we had to use (according to the hostess) to order. Its absolute garbage to treat your patrons like this, and honestly, I really hope that 18 bucks was worth losing 4 customers, 2 of us frequent (pre-pandemic) and long term patrons. Before this meal I was real bummed to see the NE location closed, now Im not surprised at all.

Its a modern atmosphere, for those of you into that. I ordered both my drinks with no ice and got ice. The drinks themselves were good. The bloody Mary was better than the margarita. My server was very pleasant! The ordering system is very unnecessarily complicated. my biggest issue with this place is that they dont do digital tips, so the servers are missing out on that card tips when people dont have cash. the place also charges a service charge, which is not contribute to the servers tips. Make sure you bring cash to tip the servers!

Idk why there was vegetables with my burnt pancake. I also had to go in to get my water after asking and waiting. Good sausage links tho

Before I start my criticism, I will say that the staff is great, never had a problem with their service in my years of coming here. Very friendly and reasonable.Bad Waitress used to be my favorite breakfast place in the whole state. Recently they got rid of ALL their decor (and didnt replace it with any new decor at all?) and overhauled their menu. My favorite thing to get used to be thick sliced french toast with apple and cinnamon. You cant get french toast with apple anymore and they slice their french toast much thinner now. Their sausage links are different, almost zero seasoning in the meat compared to what it used to be. Huge disappointment. Covid killed all the charm this place used to have. I know change isnt always a bad thing, but in this case it is. Im going to be coming here much less, if not at all.

Do you remember when the new touch-screen fountain drink machines came out? It probably took you longer to learn and then you found out you had to wait longer on others as they struggled. Its much like that.On a late Saturday AM with a few empty tables our two orders of pancakes took 45 minutes after we finally submitted our order.I could see there were several other disgruntled and confused customers as well. You just dont get taken care of. The tab was too high however you dont add a tip. Hopefully that means the wait staff are paid by the hour otherwise Im sure tipping would be very low. Bad Waitress is a decent name but No Waitress would be more suited.Maybe someday this concept works at a diner. When I go somewhere for the first time with high prices I want to be impressed with the entire experience. I dont want to have to get up and get my own coffee. I dont want to have to navigate through a web app to figure what I want to eat. I dont want to be confused if my order was even submitted.I think the food was great however we waited so long that we scarfed it down. Nice folks, wish them the best.

The food was really good. The fries were hot and crisp. My burger was also very tasty. The breakfast platter my friend had was also really good. Only doing 4 stars because I hate having to place my order on my phone. Slow and awkward, in the time it took the server to help us with it, we could have placed our order.

Ive been going to the Bad Waitress for 10 years now. Ive never had a bad experience, the food is so good, the coffee is even better, and its laid back but very clean and decorated beautifully. Love this place. Also, superb vegan choices as well!

Today got seated, no one said anything about how long it would take for food to come, waited OVER an hour for our food to come, my gf ordered medium well steak and eggs and it came rare, when we asked if they could cook it longer they said no and then said itll take a REALLY long time if she put in a new one, instead of offering us a refund she said Ill let the kitchen know so now after paying the full amount Ill be taking her somewhere else to eat. The waffle I ordered was also under -cooked and tasted like dough. Never had anyone refill my drink which was gone a half an hour into our 1 hour and 10 min wait. Worst experience ever, dont waste your time at this time at this restaurant!!

Always good food but the service was a bit slow on my last visit. The online ordering due to COVID was a bit confusing but the kiosks up front were nice!I had the Chicken and waffles for the first time and they were delicious.

Had a great dinner here. Heard some bad reviews from some of our friends but wanted to see for ourselves.Walked in on a Thursday night and got a table right away. Got drinks very quickly too. My old fashioned was super strong and good. Wife ordered the bees knees and she liked it as well.Ordered our food and it did take longer than expected to get it. My wife ordered the bad burger and it was okay, nothing to write home about. I ordered the trash browns and they were amazing!Garrett was a great bartender/server!

Stopped here after an appointment, and then nothing left to do. Found a bus route to there door and enjoyed a great breakfast in a cool little diner. When I find myself over that way...I will return!

For starters the Ruben sandwich was not made with corned beef as a traditional Ruben sandwich would be. The potatoes tasted as if they had been cooked in old oil. I did however enjoy the blueberry pancake. It was as big as a plate and filled with delicious blueberries. The servers were very polite and the place has a interesting theme that tourist seem to enjoy. The food was mediocre at best for a first time visit. Not sure if I will visit again.

This is a swanky place. Menu selection was nice. Staff and service was unremarkable. Not my favorite. Expensive prices. The food was yummy/portions were large so I suppose worth it. I didnt particularly like that you have to get your own silverware for outdoor dining or that you had to order and pay at bar instead of at table. The names says it all.

I was honestly disappointed in my experience today, I was expecting way better than what I encountered. Not only did we make reservations when we got there we were seated 15 minutes ahead of another group which received their food almost it seemed as soon as they sat down. We waited nearly 45 minutes to get our food not to mention we had small children with us who were very impatient and cranky at this point. Then the food came out and it was cold, the ice had melted in our drinks and we weren’t even offered refills. When the server came out and asked if everything was okay, my father made it known that he wasn’t happy with his meal which he didn’t eat and the server completely ignored all his comments. This will be my first and last time here.

Food is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. You sit down wherever you want, look over the menu and then you fill out your order on the tablet is paper on each table. Then walk to the register to pay, and just wait for the amazing food to hit your table. Cant go wrong with anything you order here.

I don’t recommend going here unless you like adventure with non-intuitive technology, and confusing terminology.The ordering was nothing to be desired. They use a website where customers place their orders at their table. It starts out as intuitive but then goes into redundancy, confusion, and irritation. You start by scanning a barcode on the table that tells the system which table youre at. Then you tell it that you’re at that table by adding the superhero to your order. (Didn’t it already know by the customized barcode?) When you start ordering there is long monotonous list of items that arent broken up in categories to make things easy to find. Once you find what you want and start to order it. You are then faced with so many customization options. (I was quite confused.) I just wanted to order eggs benedict with hash browns as it was on the menu. I then had to go through every option possible, selecting what I wanted (couldn’t of this been defaulted?). I wasn’t sure which options applied or not to get the menu item. It was overwhelming for my order and my companions too who had an omelet! (I couldnt imagine how an older person would figure it out.) The ordering system could have been better organized and intuitive (take a note from McDonalds and other cities restaurants that are using this technology). After placing my order, I discovered I forgot to order a beverage, so I had to go through it again!They also collected a 16% service charge because they are a Service-Included Restaurant. I didnt have a clue what that was, so I consulted their. I didn’t find anything that explained what that meant. But I did find out that they are non-tipping according to their FAQ. Is that the same thing? IDK. When I asked the waitress, she implied that the 16% went to the paying higher wages and a tip would still be appreciated. The menu said that you could remove it from your order, but I didnt see where or how (I wasn’t going to remove it but by this time I was just nitpicking the non-intuitive ordering system).With only average food, and an ok price. I don’t think I’ll be going here again.

The food was great up until I found a piece of hard melted plastic in with the eggs I ordered for breakfast. I reported it and all the waitress said was that she was sorry. No offer of any kind of refund or anything. Sad to know customer service has seemed to have gone down the toilet these days. Or just isnt trained very well. Might be back.. might not.

Let’s just say that I have eaten here many times. I love it! A warm and inviting atmosphere with food that takes me back to a happier time. I like the pancakes. I love the burgers and that’s what I’m about. I’ll be back.

The quality of the food here is comparable to a Denny’s, but lower than an iHOP. My burger was under seasoned and had a soggy bottom bun. The French fries were under salted as well. We all ordered on the QR code on the table as directed but received our food at vastly different times. My friend ordered a breakfast burrito and it sat for 10 minutes before it was brought to our table. Oh and the QR code ordering process had a service charge as well. Amazing. Service was pretty terrible ngl, we had empty waters on our table for most of our time eating. Friends complained about hash browns being cooked poorly and the burrito not having anything to cut the savoriness of it (sour cream is standard on a burrito for a reason).Sure support local businesses, but when you get outdone for cheaper and better (chipotle) or outdone in service (Denny’s) it makes it hard.

I couldnt give this place a chance. Great name for a diner. Menu was basic nothing truly blew me away. I get buying local and organic. Food items on app made me walk out. For the price of the entrees their should be a little more creativity in presentation and ingredients. Maybe I will come back maybe not.

Food was delicious and the service was as good as possible during the pandemic. The one major issue I have with this establishment is the online platform used for ordering in House. When I had questions about potential orders or food options I was unable to ask those questions using the online platform. It led to me making two different purchases that day to complete my order... one for drinks one for food.MORE IMPORTANTLY I WAS UNABLE TO TIP THROUGH THE WEB PORTAL. WHY IS THIS NOT AN OPTION???This is a big deal because there is no ATM on site, leaving customers one option. To leave the restaurant to go secure a cash tip if they feel so compelled to. I find this wrong and am surprised a family owned business would operate in this manner. Now that tip sharing is a law, I understand it complicates this process. But you can do better and should. And your employees deserve better.Please improve on this issue.

Fun place to get some good quality American diner food. The super hero theme isnt in your face and adds a lot of charm. Staff are always polite and helpful.

Very friendly staff and cool decorations. Happy hour beer prices are pretty fair and its a great central spot. Food is a bit underwhelming, soggy onions are a downer when you get a burger. Would come back for drinks but thats about it. Very good at atmosphere

It was good, thats about it. Not very large portions for the price. Kind of a neat setup where you write out your own order. Thats all. I personally wont be back, but I would recommend trying it out at least once.

It took a really long time to bring our food to the table and our orders came at different times. I ordered a three cheese melt with bacon and only one half of my sandwich had bacon. I would expect to have more than one strip of bacon on a sandwich that cost $11.

This restaurant could be renamed The Boring Food. A couple items werent available, and perhaps they were the good ones. The citrus dressing was nice, but the dense sourdough was inedible and nothing like unripe tomatoes to question a cooks intelligence. I wouldnt return.

Was served real sausage after ordering vegan sausage. Ate meat for the first time in 6 years and then puked in the bathroom. Waitress couldn’t have cared less, one of the worst restaurant experiences.

My sandwich of chicken was good. My wifes turkey read deli sliced and just okay. Given the place had us pay at the register when we ordered, it wasnt clear how to include a tip (we left cash on the table).

Went for happy hour drinks only. The prices are quite good on a limited selection of quality beer. This doesnt cater to everyone but it was just what we wanted. It was also quiet and comfortable enough to have an easy conversation.

I love this place so much. They have the best Tuna melt I have ever had. People here are so friendly. Also dont forget to try their extended dessert menu.

We tried this place after hearing good reviews from a friend. Stopped in Sunday morning. There was a good crowd but not too busy.The service was terrible. You place your own order and bring it up to the register. This would be fine, but the person at the register was very slow to enter orders, so there was a several minute wait for that.We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. We ordered eggs and pancakes. I saw the pancake sitting under the warmer for at least twenty minutes.The food was fine, but not worth the wait.I doubt wed come back.

Food was good and atmosphere was eclectic. The place has great curb appeal and a vintage modern interior. We felt it was a little pricey for the options and were a little confused about refills for drinks and service. Workers were very nice though.

The name “The Bad Waitress” is a fun nod to the customer needing to fill out a slip and walk to the counter to order, but every “waitress” (person behind the counter) I’ve ever met here is SO NICE.This place has a buzzy, friendly, “homey” vibe. In the summer the huge windows slide up and you can get an abundance of fresh air even while sitting in a booth.Don’t forget to stop by for happy hour. They have great specials.

Really cool place to get breakfast or get your brunch on. It had a friendly atmosphere along with old b-movie posters on the walls. Seems like a good place for a quick bite, there were quite a few people stopping in for takeout as I ate my meal. Interesting way to order by filling out the card, but its easy enough to figure out.

What a great diner on Eat Street. Ive been many times & am familiar with how to order. Great food with a lively atmosphere. Also during the Eat Street Food, Music, & Arts Festival the music stage is right out the door. Highly recommended!

This is the breakfast spot you have been looking for! Get the Eggs Benedict and have the best breakfast of your life! The environment is very chill, and the staff explains how you place your order. Everyone is friendly and attentive if you need something. The parking is not ideal but usually there are street spots available.

Seems like this place is under new ownership or something??? So disappointing. My once beloved trash browns with tofu has been ruined by people who have clearly never eaten or made tofu in their life. Being given just a large unseasoned block of tofu is almost comical, maybe do some research before trying to provide vegan and vegetarian dishes. At least the hash browns are still decent. I miss the old Bad Waitress!!

My son and I discovered this place a couple of years ago, and now its a must-eat whenever we come to the cities. Parking can be a bear, but the food and service definitely make it worth it!

I had the The Bad Waitress Breakfast Burrito and the dessert Spyhouse Caramella Malt it was pretty good. Didnt really care for the tomatoe Basil tortilla or the fact that I couldnt taste the smoked gruyère. The malt was pretty good just didnt care for the coffee beans in the malt and on top of the whip cream would be better if they put toffee to give it that nice and sweet crunch but all in all it was a really good meal, nice atmosphere and great customer service all in all I would definitely come back. 😄

Really bummed about the decor and menu changes. I came here 1-2x weekly pre-covid for a year to work on school work. It was warm, cozy, inviting and had a unique menu. Now there’s cool tones, bright lights, bad music, and my fav menu items have been removed or changed beyond recognition. I understand you have to do what you can to improve efficiency and reduce overhead costs during these trying times but the changes made were executed poorly.

Ive been going here for years and its still one of my favorites. While some options could be cheaper, most of the items on the menu are decently priced for the area. They can also be a bit slow from time to time.Vegan and vegetarian friendly, theyve recently added more cocktails to their drink menu.

The Chocolate Chip Banana French Toast is extremely rich... Order just the 2 pieces.. trust me on this. (Sugar Coma)

The only thing good about this place is the hipstery decor and crispy hash browns. Although the hash is only crisped on one side and youre left with a pile of soggy potato strings. My breakfast sandwich had way too much cheese and was extremely soggy even when it first came out.

I never leaves reviews about food, but I was really disappointed when I ordered eggs benedict and my eggs were so over overcooked they looked hard boiled. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that they were cooked to cooks choice which ranges from poached soft to poached hard and that next time I should request them poached soft. I have never ever heard of that before and if they have a range they should let you know on the menu (or clarify your order if you just put poached.) Ive been other times with no complaints but this really bothered me.

Im extremely disappointed. The seating and ordering process was needlessly complicate. I wasnt aware that the bad waitress ment there was no waitress. You submit your own order, yet youre automatically charged a tip. Who am I tipping? On top of that, the food was overpriced mediocrity. I got a cheeseburger, and it could have been from anywhere. Their shakes are 7 bucks. Its just ridiculous. Save yourself some money and go get a burger and shake from McDonalds a few blocks away. But hey, at least they play good music.

Your food comes shortly after.I did order vegetarian food and a piece of meat was in my plate. :(But honestly the food was delicious. I had a Thai coffee. And the homemade guac was delicious and fresh.

The Bad Waitress is my go-to location for working out of a coffee shop/diner when I am in Minneapolis. Good food, good drinks, vegan shakes, ample power outlets, and no one hovering over me making me feel like I gotta vacate the table

Good food, relaxed ambiance and very American.

THIS PLACE IS SO SO SO GOOD. My favorites would be their turkey gruyere sandwich and their pancakes. The hassle of finding a parking spot IS totally worth it to eat here. The only downside to this location is that it’s quite small. On a few occasions we have had to wait 20 min. + to be seated. They only have 1 large booth for groups bigger than 5 and I think that with all the business they get, it’s time to figure out more seating and/or space! :)

So incredibly disappointed! I have not been here since the reopening and was craving your breakfast which I order regularly. I have to say I am underwhelmed beyond belief! My to- go order resembled a children’s portion. What the heck happened to the once outstanding hollandaise sauce? You had one of the best in town and now it tastes like it came out of a can? Charging customers these prices are absolutely wrong. I am beyond upset that I wasted my money this morning.

Food was bomb! The eggs benedict is def the move and you have to get the O Brien potatoes! Im not a big fan of breakfast potatoes but these were by far the best I ever had. The staff is also friendly too and were patient as it was our first time there. The only reason I didnt give this a perfect 5 star was because there were a couple of fruit flies I think due to the fruit with the mimosas but there werent many and Id really give this restaurant a 4.5 stars or slightly more. Next time Im in Minneapolis Im def stopping by!
