I stumbled across this great little coffeehouse and bistro in downtown Burlington, IA. Its an established city where river meets rail. I loved the ambiance and spaces they provide, kind of a upbeat but relaxed coffeehouse vibe. I liked that there are pocket seating areas outside, upstairs, and downstairs which is where we were. One could study, chat, or even grab the acoustic off of the wall and play song or two. Anyone who has read my other reviews knows that I am particular for cleanliness. Table, floors, utensils, glasses, bathrooms, etc. This place was clean through and through. Staff was pretty amazing and were mindful of the annoying COVID thing, which is comforting in a food environment. I ordered the house coffee and the avocado toast which were both spot on. I was with a party of 8 and every one of us left satisfied. Had a chance to meet the owner who made us feel at home. When Im in the area Ill definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed this place. Its an Oasis in a sea of corporate offerings, and its become one of my favorite coffee shops downtown. Great atmosphere and relaxing music choices, well done Beancounter!

Breakfast sandwiches are fresh and delicious, not popped out of frozen plastic like other places. They also offer catering now.

Nice ambiance with mix of tables and stuffed chairs for sitting. Offer almond, soy, and oat milk non dairy option but no vegan baked goods the day I was there. Would be great if they would add some.

AMAZING coffee, pastries and soup. Seriously, the coffee tastes so fresh and is delicious, which is not a word I usually use for coffee. However, the rest of the food is way too expensive and not worth it for the quality or portions. I suspect all the 5-star reviews are because the staff are very friendly, but I had to take a star off for the lunch being a waste of money.I definitely will keep coming back for coffee and pastries though, and would recommend it.

This is my favorite downtown coffee spot. Good coffee, nice staff, fun environment and never very crowded. They seem to make their lattes with a higher ratio of milk than Im used to, so if you like a stronger latte, just be sure to ask for a double shot.

Not only are their coffee, espresso drinks, and cold fruity drinks amazing, the Cuban Sandwich/Panini is to die for. I really hope this place sticks around! Convenient spot with cozy coffee shop vibes.

Best coffee shop in the skyways, honestly! I go there when I’m having a bad morning because the kind staff and the excellent chai never fail to brighten my day. Stop going to Starbucks and walk a few more steps for a better/more local experience ! Also it’s very cozy, great for meetings.

I frequent the skyways and had my eye on this place even before they opened. I finally got a chance to go today and I wasnt disappointed. Its extremely attractive and the staff is so friendly. I got a blueberry muffin and it was one of the best Ive ever had. Im going to have to try their coffee or a sandwich next and maybe stay a little longer!

Its always a treat to come across a skyway coffee shop that isnt a chain and is actually affordable! The environment is comfortable and cute, perfect for a sit-down, and the prices are good enough to become a staple.I cant wait to come back and try their homemade baked goods!

Passed by this cute and cozy place one afternoon, while on a walk. Two weeks later, I finally made it back to stop in and try something. The Americano was very smooth and delicious. I also discovered that they offer food, aside from the typical pastries. Now I have to drop by a different time to try one of their quiches and maybe grab a cookie.

They donate money from every purchase to animal shelters, and have good espresso/baked goods as well. Perfect for a coffee meeting or doing some light work

The service is incredible! I almost feel like family each time I walk in. The barista already knows my order(I’ve only been about 4-5 times total) and even remembers the conversation we had at my previous visit! The atmosphere is great, perfect for catching up on work or sitting down with a book or even chatting with a friend. I work right below a chain coffee house which is convienient but I would much rather walk the extra block to visit this place instead! I can’t stop raving about how amazing they are! I love it!

Sandwiches are very expensive for the small amount of ingredients they put in them. $10.88 for a turkey sandwich that had 2 thin slices of meat; Ill pass. I can get more value at Potbelly, Allies, or Subway which are all near-by and almost half the cost.

The good: Nice atmosphere and space on the Skyway. Friendly staff. The not so good: I had a sandwich for lunch here (no coffee, breakfast or pastries). The sandwich was acceptable, but expensive for what it was. Other options in the skyway provide a higher quality sandwich at the same or lower cost.

Great staff, brand new location but clearly experienced baristas! Stopped by before a haircut to check it out, loved what I saw and came back to the exact same thing. Very welcoming and made me a delicious almond mocha--they made sure to ask if I wanted whipped cream or not(Im lactose intolerant, so this was really nice)! They even were kind enough to make my drink at a warmer temperature. I happened to stop by on the first day of opening, luckily. Definitely going to become a regular. Their pastries looked super yum, havent tried one yet, unfortunately. Planning to stop by again soon to change that!
