This place was absolutely amazing. I was thrilled when my friend recommended we go there. I will definitely be visiting here again, and often. The staff was awesome and joked with me, which i loved. The coffee was delicious and well priced. 10/10 would recommend.

I visited here for the first time today 9/22/21 my wife always drives by and always wanted to try so today we did and I have to say awesome place! coffee is great, the carrot cake was amazing pumpkin bread was alittle on sweet side for my liking but great no the less, my wife and I will definitely be returning soon!

This place is just beautiful. Super friendly staff and a nice overall atmosphere. Lots of tables to spread out and work. A whole back area as well, which features more space and a stage. There was an open mic the night I went, which was great! But also, if you wanted to work and not hear the performers, the whole front area was apart, and had a door that shut for quiet during working.Great food, great coffee, and great feel. I will come back!

Great little coffee shop. A nice place to grab a proper bagel (The Eggel) sandwich and a decent, locally roasted, cup of coffee. Staff were courteous and knowledgeable of their product. Definitely would recommend!

Since we moved into the area, this has been our go-to coffee shop. Great drinks, and great breakfast sandwiches. Maybe someday well get to see how it looks all set up with tables on the inside once Covid is over since weve only ever seen it either with the door window during the summer or just empty inside except for the counter during the winter 😂

I recently made 4 visits to the Coffee Shop NE. I was disappointed and quite aghast by staff handling coffee cups on the rim, and all over the lids. Please review Minnesota Department of Health regulations regarding such a practice. It is not only a gross violation of health rules and practices, it is just plain gross - in especially during these days of pandemic.

Adorable North East coffee shop that has (surprisingly???) Reasonably priced local art for sale as well. Had a great coffee and bagel from a staff that is clearly taking covid and the mask mandate seriously as a bonus. Looking forward to trying their other breakfast options.

The coffee and food were both excellent, and the staff was super friendly and personable. Additionally, they have quite an extensive menu when compared to most other coffee shops on this area. Would highly recommend!

Since moving to the NE neighborhood this coffee shop has become a weekend staple. The coffee and breakfast food options are great - I am partial to the egg and sausage breakfast wrap, and I’ve also enjoyed the quiche. Some of the food can be a bit of a longer wait, but they do offer a call ahead option for convenience or you can always swing over to Sarah Jane’s bakery while you wait :)

Can’t comment on the drinks or food quality. Walked in and saw there was no inside seating and left. I needed a place to have coffee and work on some stuff for a while and this wasn’t it. Just a warning to others that there’s no indoor seating if you need it.

This was a neighborhood favorite of mine before COVID and has become even more so with the convenient walk-up service available. Safe and structured, but not limiting. Beyond coffee, this is my favorite quick lunch or breakfast spot. The veggie breakfast wrap is excellent!

Oohhhwee. The baristas were a party and had great suggestions! Still thinking about the Breve I ordered. See dah pic. Its a classic NE spot. Dont skip it.

I love this shop! The staff is always so kind and helpful. And I love all of the things they are doing to keep customers safer during COVID. The staff are always quick to get your drinks out, and if your drink is ever messed up in any way they are always quick to make it right for you if asked.(In non COVID times, the cafe is warm and inviting, with tons of seating for people to sit and work or chat with friends.)

Favorite local coffee shop! If you’re looking for good coffee beans go HERE!! Their pastries and bagels are also delish. And the staff is always caring and friendly. Even more so during this crazy covid time.

The classic cold press (maple soy) was great! They also serve Brueggers bagels. Will definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu! Super friendly staff too, and they have a water bowl & treats outside for dogs!

Great local shop, friendly down to earth staff~ with lotsa goodies and food options. Their level of service is #1 so I always leave a good tip to treat the staff right. They are a beloved classic go to locale in NE.They brew B+B Coffee which supports cooperative growers in other countries ~ so some equity practices there.During the pandemic they have been go to shop. They are clean and organized for saftey.My fave breakfast sandwich is the Eggel~ beast breakfast egg and bagel in the world, at least the parts I have travelled. #1 summer beverage for me their June Bug~ cold press with caramel, my winter go to drink is a Depth Charge in Italian Roast.In normal times its a great place to meet with friends and there is always fun and funky art work and events. So greatful this shop exists!

Good menu. Love the turkey pesto sandwich! A buddy and I come here somewhat frequently for open mic night events on Sunday nights usually start around 6:00 sign up within the hour before. Come on down!

The Coffee Shop NE is a perfect little spot for a quick bite to eat and a beverage. They have a large table in the back that you can reverse for a small group meeting. Food and coffee are both very good and reasonablely priced. There are lots of events like open mics and readings. The owners and staff are all lovely people.

They have really good food. Honestly, come for that. I had a really good sandwich when I was there last and wish I could be eating it right now (turkey pesto something). It is the typical coffee shop prices on food though, so like 8 bucks for that sandwich but sometimes thats fine.

There was a time, many, many moons ago where Starbucks offered up some of the best customer service on the planet. Those days are gone.Say hello to the staff at The Human Bean. On top of all-out great coffee recipes, they serve up a level of warm and friendly service the larger chains now only dream of.Eat your heart out Starbucks.

Decidedly mediocre in most every way. Not to say that theres anything bad about this cafe but nothing stands out as exceptional. Its definitely a business just trying to pay the bills and doesnt have a pitch or objective.Coffee is about on par with Starbucks including — somewhat oddly — in overall taste.They do offer a large quiet space in back which is pretty neat.

The staff here is amazing. It’s a joy to come here.They also have great lunch food. Not pretentious.

A lovely place to go. I had The Mangler. Here are my thoughts.Rarely have I been equaled by something that was created specifically for me to consume. But, make no mistake, The Mangler - as it is so perfectly named - got the best of me. A contradictory combination of cold brew, espresso, and cream, The Mangler exists to tear down the wall separating “creamy” and “bitter” as well as the wall separating a skillfully crafted coffee drink and a weapon of mass destruction. Complete with as estimated 900 mgs of caffeine, the Mangler exists to destroy the one who consumes it. It is, to put it plainly, mutually assured destruction. The Cold War in the form of a cold brew. For it exists to destroy the humans that so foolishly think they can finish a drink that bears the title “The Mangler”. Yet, in the process of destruction, The Mangler must be destroyed itself. In order to mangle, it must be mangled in return.To be honest, I’m not even sure why I like it. Yes, it’s good. But, mainly, I just respect The Mangler. I respect it in the way I respect an equal. The Mangler knows me and I know The Mangler. I see its purpose. I see its drive. I see its mission. And, damn, do I respect it.

I work remotely, and this shop has space/outlets/fast WiFi, alongside super friendly service. Coffee is great, and decor is cute/clean but unpretentious.There is a card minimum, but my barista let me purchase two drinks and pick up the second one an hour or so after the first! I’ll definitely be back :)

Was optimistic for my first coffee from here especially with the bakery across the street, however, for a latte that costs as much as a Starbucks drink, Id suggest Starbucks. No real distinction in their latte

First visit to this local cafe, and I loved it. Cozy and quirky, but clean and quick. Hazelnut latte was fabulous. Varied seating from couches to both to two-tops. Outlets next to many, not all, perimeter tables.

They have a great selection of coffee, and very delicious. Great service as well.

I cant believe Ive never been here?? Its spacious and cold and the staff is super knowledgeable and honest with recommendations. I think the other yelper who rated this place poorly was comparing it to the other (which I havent been to yet) & comparison is the thief of joy. The halloween decor is adorable. Its well-lit and there are flickering lights (ambient!). The music isnt loud. The ceilings are tall. The coffee is fantastic (I got The Sycamore- super earthy & made with walnuts/molasses; not too sweet!!) The pastries and sandwiches are good too (we tried the Charmingly Pesto & The Wizard Meltdown). You can tell a lot of effort went into the quality of this place. They close around 5 or 6pm though so if youre a night owl go elsewhere!

This place is the best. The staff is efficient and friendly. The environment is comfortable. The food is delicious. I especially love the quiche. Try the monster cookie for a real treat.

The best latte in town! Get the large one in the giant glass. You won’t be sorry. It’s even knitting friendly. The front room has a lot of natural light 🤓 🧶

I had a very disappointing experience at this place around 11am today (Wednesday). When I was dropping off my friend who lives a couple blocks from the Coffee Shop, I asked if she would recommend the place since I was in the mood for a cup of coffee before heading back to work. She did not recommend it, saying the service was poor and the coffee was average at best. I decided to give it a try anyway. As I walked in, I smiled and said hello to the 50+ year old employee walking by me, and she did not say a word, did not smile, and it felt very rude. Oh well I thought, we all have our grumpy moments, right? So, I went to the counter to order: there was a regular customer in line ahead of me, and the FOUR (repeat, FOUR) employees behind the counter were all talking to him about the weather since it had snowed a foot here two days ago. Cool, maybe they are friendly people here after all. But 5 minutes later, I was still standing there waiting to have my order taken, and not one of the 4 employees bothered to say, well be with you in a minute or anything courteous like that. And they had not just gone through a busy rush or anything, as there was only 1 other person sitting in the place.... FORGET IT. I bailed, and went to the place nearby that my friend DID recommend (starts with an A... and it was such a good experience, and great coffee). I wont ever be heading back to Ye Olde Coffee Shoppe.

Lots of room to settle in here. The atmosphere skates between a friendly neighborhood feel and a fresh arthouse vibe. Great place to do work or to meet with a friend. Service was quick and personable.

DELICIOUS veggie breakfast burrito!

The food was really good but the chairs and benches were quite uncomfortable. I could feel the springs of the seat the entire time. Service was great and coffee was decent. Nice place to walk to and I would go again but maybe would sit in a chair not a booth. :)

Pretty good customer service. WiFi is spotty and doesnt always work. The password isnt visible most of the time either. Quality food and coffee. Pricing is a little expensive but you are getting quality food and drinks. Theres almost never open seating when I come in.

Good coffee and beverages, decent food. The environment is reasonably welcome and has that classic indie coffee shop / cafe vibe — tables and chairs are a mixed bag. In all its a good place to hang out or work for a little bit, but I cant say that I personally feel that its conducive for working there much more than an hour or so. Outlets werent that plentiful and lighting was super bright (for my taste). Still a good place though.

Stumbled upon this place and I loved it! I got an almond croissant and an iced vanilla latte. Both great. There is a ton of places to sit inside. So excited this is in our neighborhood and can’t wait to go back!

Wonderfully delightfully marvelous place. Delicious coffee, nice assortment of pastries and other delectable goodies. We found a table in the back and six of us enjoyed a pleasant undisturbed time together. Parking is off street, only a few steps away.

Great coffee and chai. Im not usually a big fan of vegan baked goods but the zuchinni pineapple bread was delicious.

Wonderful place! The staff is kind, the food is good, and the atmosphere is great. As with any good find - its busy. Thats the only downside. I prefer a quiet corner to hang out in but the food and service is very much worth a noisier spot.The Veg-wich and the Caprese sandwich are worth the noise all on their own. But I would also recommend checking out their seasonal coffees and teas while youre there! Very tasty.As an added bonus, they hang and sell art of local artists! I see it rotate fairly often too, so theyre helping the community.

I love coming here for a great cup of coffee when I’m looking to get some work done outside of the office. There’s plenty of room to sit down with a laptop and crank through some projects.

After finding the wait at Hazels too long, went across the street to this place to grab some quick coffee and food. No regrets. Lots of coffee choices, and non-coffee. The maple soy coldpress was very sweet, but the coffee flavor was excellent. Theres plenty of street parking around. They had decent selection of breakfast and lunch stuff in the case. Friendly staff. Its surprisingly spacious inside, with lots of seating. The back room is really cute, and perfect except for the lack of windows. A sign by the register said they have a live music series, which is cool for a little coffee place.

I love this place. Very friendly staff, really good tea and coffee, and excellent baked goods. Theres plenty of seating for a variety of needs: a big conference table, comfortable chairs, somewhat private booths, a counter with electrical outlets.

Great neighborhood spot. Really delicious food, both deli style and hot sandwiches/eggs etc cooked to order. The smoothies are tasty and the coffee is responsibly sourced and brewed to perfection.

A great variety of desserts. The Mandarin orange cake is amazing! The best thing about The Coffee Shop is: Its OPEN until 10 PM!!

I had no idea this place had such an extensive menu. It has a small front room and larger back room with lots of seating. Employees are extremely friendly and fun. This will be my new study spot.

This place has great food and amazing desserts!Im going to add an addendum to this review, the consistency in policy and how things are charged is inconsist from time to time and on a number of occasions Ive been told I can do something on one trip and not on others. It can be frustrating at times.

Ive traveled all over the country, as well as abroad in Europe and Isreal frequenting some of the best rated coffee shops in the world and have not liked any as much as this one.Seriously good drinks, awesome wholesome foods, and pastries that are at least as good as Grams used to make when I was little.I received good service and the atmosphere rocked! Also I have never seen such a real sense of community in a coffee shop before.This is certainly a place to check out when you are in Minneapoliss North East!

A bit loud but very trendy space. The coffee is excellent and the workers all seem approachable and were very friendly. Ive been multiple times and it is one of my favorite coffee shops in Minneapolis.

Nice and warm in there today and delicious quiche. I am always impressed by the menu and baked goods. Its wonderful how the same staff is always there. Shows job longevity.

Coffee here is great with a good selection and some various other food options like salads or pastries. Chill atomsphere with friendly staff, if youre like me its better to go to a local place over a chain like Starbucks. Also like the punch card for return visits nice touch.

Stephanie was the best with a bright personality!! What a place! Great coffee. They have Italian roast which is my favorite! The decor was fun and the music they played kept my toes a tapping! My Gf and I had time to kill, googled and so happy we found it. We played cards. Drank coffee and left in great moods! Go. NOW!!
