The mocha was seriously the best I ever had. It brought me back to drinking hot chocolate in the woods as a child. The coffees are reasonably priced, tasty, and strong. Come here and not to chains of music-blasting, union-busting cafes!

Tasty drinks and lots of pop- culture art. Baristas are friendly and nice. They also sell their own roasted beans and some pastries and snacks.

Good strong coffee and friendly service. Despite it being a small place (kind of tight quarters), they try to make best use of the space and provide ample places to plug in your laptop if you plan to spend time there. Always a plus. The ambiance has a low key chill vibe, for sure. The seating faces the street, which is nice to see the people walking down the street and cars zipping by.

Service is prompt and focused on kindness. I am a regular here and I visit for their strong coffee. This is the only one of a handful of businesses I supported during Covid-19 with walk-in service. I keep returning to appreciate the joyful playfulness I have built with the owners. I drive out of my way to get their coffee and regularly bring a cup to a friend if I am heading somewhere. The proprietor is a longtime coffee shop manager who has worked with big names in the retail, cup-at-a-time coffee shop. You can be sure that whatever you order is made well, with very fresh beans. There is good rapport with customers of all creeds and colors, as I have been here at times with regulars who he calls by first name. I’m a very curious person, so my interest is always met with patience and kindness. Among coffee shops, Code Blu is tops. I support their shift to earlier hours, with a desire to live more of life yet still being open every day of the year.

Picked up beans, roasted 12 hours ago. Hurried home for a pour over. I normally dont like central American as well, but this is so fresh and bold and flavorful! This will no doubt be my coffee bean spot from now on. Reasonably priced for Fresh roasts! Nice and helpful owner talked me thru some of their beans and what to expect.

Code Blu coffee is by far one the the best cups of coffee youll have. Their hot and cold brew are great options. We even buy their beans that they roast onsite. All around a great small coffee shop. Show the brothers some love and buy their coffee!

Been coming since they opened and have consistently been friendly with great coffee. Roasts tend conservative, tasty and easy drinking. My personal favorite for espresso in the TC. Prices are super reasonable including house roasted beans under $10/lb. Hard to believe this used to be a sandwich shop nobody went to.

Not only that, but the two guys who run this place are so nice and knowledgeable about coffee. I cant wait for the pandemic to be over so I can sit here and study again. Bought a pound of the Colombia from here and it was phenomenal. This was one of my first coffee shops that I could buy coffee the day it was roasted. Prices are more than reasonable for the coffee. Can’t wait to get my next bag from here!

Drove past this place and just had to stop in. Their menu is extensive and has something for everyone, the vibe of the place is super cool and a great place to get some work done, and the staff were friendly! I got a caramel latte and it was delicious! Highly recommend!

Convenient, great cappuccino

Went here to get some freshly roasted beans. They had several different options and they were all roasted that day.The guy behind the counter was very nice and gave me some recommendations. Prices range from $10/lb to I think $13/lb and I love that you can buy as much (or as little) as you need.My only suggestion would be to offer one or two light roast options. Their thing seems to be strong coffee and pretty much all their options were darker roasts.

Theyre passionate about coffee!!There are lots of places within walking distance that sell coffee and they each have their value. The difference is, Code Blue is PASSIONATE about their coffee. They roast their beans on site and are excited to talk about their processes and tool which they have clearly put a lot of thought, research into.The space is small but its not cramped. Its well finished and cozy. Theyve made a small foot print go a long way.If you want a curated coffee that tastes like a lot of thought and care went into its creation; this is the place for you.

Code Blu Coffee is a hidden gem in the Seward neighborhood. I googled coffee shops in the Seward area and Code Blu popped up. Luckily, its right across my gym so the convenience is a perk. Its located in a really nice area. The staff is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make a customer happy. They create a welcoming environment. They seem to enjoy curating drinks that fits your needs as well which is awesome. The drink itself is delicious. The first one Ive tried is the White Chocolate frapp and have ordered it 4x now after I discovered it. Looking forward trying some new suggestions from them :) The ambiance is great. The space is a little small but its extremely cozy. I love coming here to do my work. Great ambiance, delicious coffee, and wonderful staff = Returning customer. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place.

This place would be absolutely AMAZING if they had more space. Usually, I pick a coffee shop based upon being able to stay for a while and work or to meet with folks. Code Blu isnt quite set up for that. Theyve got seating for maybe a dozen people tops, and only group seating for a few folks.Having said that, their coffee is great. And the place has a vibe that reminds me of the golden age of cafes. Sipping an excellent latte while working at my counter-height perch, Id be tempted to think Im sitting in NYC or San Francisco in 1999. The location is betrayed by the view of Franklin Avenue. And the era is betrayed by the delightful next-wave coffee.But all in all, for what it is, I dig it.

I stopped in for a cup of coffee and was very happy to find staff that was concerned with my having the best coffee they could make for me. It started with helping me choose the best beans to suit my pallet and a method of making the coffee in question. I think it was one of the better cups of coffee I have had in a long time. I plan on revisiting in the future.Follow up: I went back and I am looking forward to next time.

I LOVE this place so so much. Such a hidden gem with good vibes and quality coffee drinks. Im not a huge coffee person, so I usually go by Frapshake or smoothie option, but let me tell you one thing. Their zebra Frapshake is ANOTHER WORLD--honestly one of the best coffee drinks Ive ever had in my life with 0 exaggeration. Not to mention its generous size ($5.75 for 24oz sounds not bad at all for me), it retains perfect balance of dark and white mocha, which in turn creates heavenly good bittersweetness. It is rather milky than ice-crunchy, finely blended and smooth, but you can tell it is VERY dense mocha flavor at the same time.If you are caffeine-sensitive like me, you can always ask for decaf, which I think is also great. Oh, and this place is also opened everyday :) I would highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking for local coffee place serving quality coffee, sweet deserts/bakeries with unique vibes!

Code Bju is a great local shop. They roast and sell their own. The Cafe environment is comfortable and has amazing light from a three sided solarium. The internet is fast, the coffee prices reasonable, and power plugs plentiful.

The atmosphere inside is great! Comfortable for getting work done, chatting with friends, sitting quietly and reading the paper, or even doing bike maintenance—well, that might have just been the one time I was there. The employees are always smiling, even before 7am, which, most small coffee shops in the area dont seem to open before 7am which makes getting caffeine hard for those of us who need to be at work early!

Quality milk preparation in cappuccino: right temp, tiny bubbles, good proportion of espresso / milk / foam. Also had a decaf espresso: full crema, heart, & body. Good espresso basics. Friendly staff, seems genuinely invested in the quality of experience. Transparent location, so the key is accessible. The kind of shop Seward needs, similar to Precision Grind, is small, friendly, but can define itself by more than just contrast with rigid models: the big guys [Starbucks] and the hipsters [5 Watt]. The larger experience here feels a bit scattered, so maybe less-is-more approach will hone a regular base that can depend on coffee-forward priority and a friendly transparency. Struggles here feel like decor; undefined, and music; feels a bit generic.

Tiny little shop with great coffee. You can purchase beans by the pound, but they also have drip, espresso, and frappucino-like drinks. Bar chairs are a tad uncomfortable, but plenty of sunlight/people watching on Franklin Avenue.
