Gaming Goat has a neat selection of games, with many intriguing titles I hadnt encountered elsewhere. They have a lot of variety packed into thier space. A bonus that came in handy before heading over to the Cinemark yesterday, was that they have tape. I was so happy my glasses choose to break in a place where I could fix them, rather than in a dark theater. Thank you!

Large selection for a smallish store, but several items we were interested in were out of stock and the friendly clerk hadn’t played most of what was available. Still, glad to have it in the neighborhood. Small game room that can seat maybe 12 in the back. D&D and Cyberpunk books, but mostly European and other board games.

Im really disappointed in this shop. Ive only ever driven by until today (we drove over an hour to get here). I was hoping to get a few new board games to add to our collection. When I entered I was quickly greeted and then immediatly asked if I had a mask. I didnt, and was told this store REQUIRES MASKS. Bad business move in my opinion. Even at the height of the mask mandate of 2020, the large retailer I worked for never enforced the mandate because it was bad for business. Good luck to this shop.

Played my first mtg pre release there, it was a lot of fun! Also they have a huge selection of board games, dice, d&d stuff and more. They guys behind the counter are friendly and helpful. Ill definitely be going back.

Amazing place to find board games! They have everything for every age. There are so many games on the shelves it can feel overwhelming but the owner is always there to help with any questions you may have on any of the games. They also carry magic the gathering, key forge, and dungeons and dragons. There are planned demos at the store as well as game nights! Definitely a place to check out if you’re into any of these things! All games are sold at or below msrp!

Great selection of games. I’m personally into TCGs and the little stock is decent. It is the only place in town I know of to get Keyforge cards, but the pack Flesh and Blood at the moment.

Went there a few days ago man it feels nice to walk into a physical game store. They have a great selection, friendly and hlepful customer service I had a lot of questions that I had answered. I plan on coming back at some point again.

So I went into the store to find a few new games to try out, but the sales associate was no where to be found, when he finally appeared from the back, he acted as if we were causing a big inconvenience to him by coming in. Seemed more that he cared about getting to his game, than answering any questions or participating in conversation. Never have I had an experience where I felt so akward, and thats saying something since the clientele who visit shops like these are socially awkward anyway. The only thing he spoke to us was, alright thanks! It makes me sad that this happened because clearly, we can get the same products online, but enjoy the person aspect of going to the store in this post pandemic society we all are in.

This board game store is the best!! It’s located right next to the movie theatre. The atmosphere is really welcoming. I really enjoyed the vibe here. The store owner is super nice! They can help you hunt down your favorite games if they do not have them they will get them if possible! Also their pricing is lower or about the same as amazon but I will keep my business with a local store due to the friendliness and customer service they offer here. It’s a drive for me but I don’t mind driving. The store has plenty of games for you to demo before purchasing and also the people who go here during game nights, are very welcoming. Overall I definitely recommend everyone to check it out. Kid friendly since I took my 3 year old and they did not mind. Thank you again to Yoshi for recommending this hidden gem to us! I purchased a copy of Street Masters an $80 board game. Over 100 cards in the box were missing which is a huge portion of my money. Now, even though this isn’t The Gaming Goats fault, I decided to call here since this location is closer than the gaming goat I made my purchase at. Without hesitation the owner said “Bring in what you have and we will get you everything that is owed to you”. I got everything that was owed to me and I will absolutely buy more games from here. The owner is an awesome guy and the family friendly atmosphere is fantastic. Plus their prices are sometimes even better than Amazon. With the customer service to be right on par if not better because they are local. I will see you all on payday!

Best place to find and buy new games. Store representative knew each of the games I was interested in as well as alternatives and more options. Came for fun games and very happily found help and more ideas at great prices. Well worth it.

Super friendly staff and owners, this is the friendly local game store for the Phoenix metro area. They regularly demo games and the staff can provide you with suggestions based on your tastes. The prices are awesome and compare favoibly with online retailers. There are four other game stores closer to me in the valley but I still consistantly find myself driving almost 30 minutes to get there.

This store is awesome! Tons of really cool and unique games of every kind! They also have figurines/miniatures, and lots of paint and other material to customize them. Their prices beat Amazon (on several items that I looked up)! The owner is super friendly! Was very surprised at how many games & game accessories this store has. It carries the most recent and some retro games as well. Games for all ages are available here with a very knowledgeable person on site.

We shop here exclusively for our card and board game needs. The staff is knowledge and friendly. They even helped us dig for something we were looking for as a gift. They even have a game room in the back where you can test play games before you buy them. Always a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend coming here.

The thing I loved most about this store is how organized and cleanly arranged it is. The store is not massive and sprawling, but I appreciate that. You walk in and the shelves are lined with games, floor to ceiling. There are a few islands set up. Beyond that you have two rounded gaming tables, and in the back, a room for what I can assume more expansive gaming/model painting will be. I thought it was fantastic, especially if you want a quality atmosphere without all the clutter that typically comes with a game shop. The owner and staff are extremely nice and the opening day raffle was wonderful as well! Highly recommended!

Great Store, great prices, great staff! Coming from Minneapolis, where board gaming is a way of life, I was excited to see Gaming Goat coming to AZ. I prefer buying locally, but many of the other stores in the valley are not competitive with Amazons pricing or lack the selection. Added to this, the store setup is great for pickup sessions or more private gaming.

These guys are awesome helped me out right as the store was closing. Definitely recommend. Will be my primary store for all table top games!

Pricing is excellent. Selection of RPGs is very limited but good if you want D&D. Selection of board games is good, limited selection of card games/CCGs. They have in store play space, but not much. The owner and staff are friendly, but the lack of in-store play space means they wont be hosting any large tournaments or miniature wargaming events any time soon. Definitely superior to the other Gaming Goat in the Valley.

I love this place. They are really responsive and helpful. I am new to gaming but wanted to get a couple of single player games. I bought 2 games. The owner was great and took his time to assist me. The prices are very good. I bought Proving Grounds and Epic Quest. I have only played Proving Grounds, I love this single player game. It is easy to learn, I am still in the training game. It is holding my interest for sure. I am looking forward to Epic Quest. I reccomend and this is close to where I live. Nice store, and a good selection of games.

Great place with a new owner, and they were all super considerate and kind. Always glad to support new gaming stores, even if they are not Mom and Pop style stores. Dont mind the size, they stated they will be changing to a larger store in Phoenix within 6 months. For the time being though, their smaller store is a great place to go check out for games.

The BEST gaming store in the valley! I went in with some friends to get an expansion for “Coup” and left with the expansion and two additional games at the suggestion of one of the store’s employees—Ramen Fury! and A Fake Artist Goes To New York. We had intended on having a night of Coup and Bang! shenanigans, but once we started playing Ramen Fury!, the hours just flew by and pretty soon it was time to call it a night. Great recommendation and we’re looking forward to playing Fake Artist once we get a bigger group together.The store has a room where you can sit down with your friends and sample ANY game they have on the shelf and, if your game of choice is Dungeons & Dragons, you won’t find a better selection of source books and WOTC adventures ANYWHERE else in the valley. Their selection of miniatures is first-class and they also carry a large supply of rare, pre-painted, collectible minis.The staff is THE FRIENDLIEST in the valley and they are as knowledgeable and articulate as they are happy and charismatic. An analog game store, with cheap prices and cordial staff, they have copies of most new board games and source books along with cards, miniatures and tables set up for playing.

This store has the most variety of any game store I have ever seen. The prices are absolutely incredible and the owner is a complete gem. This place will surely become dear to my heart.

The store is a bit small and was really crowded opening day (but thats to be expected). It has a huge selection of board games and a decent selection of 5e Dungeons & Dragons books. The RPG offerings are a bit limited, but there is an extensive offering of WizKids, Pathfinder, and Deep Cuts minis. I only saw one paint kit offered, the 10 paint Nolzurs Marvelous Pigments starter set; the upside is it was offered cheaper than anywhere Ive seen it. Prices are otherwise standard from what I could see. There are a couple round tables up front and a pair of long folding tables in the back alcove for gaming.The staff are still settling in so be patient. They will soon find their groove. A nice addition to the East Valley gaming scene.
