Love this place. They have commander deck tournaments 4 times a week. So i got a commander deck. And some boosters. They have soo many sleeve choices! And many. Card-holding boxes. Soo many. Also dnd every tursday!! So excited

Complete tipoff. I didnt do my research first and I bought an undergrowth stadium for $12 when the market value is $6. That is incredibly greedy and money hungry. Take your business elsewhere. They will rip you off

Good selection of WOW items. I was looking for board games, they had one side of the aisle dedicated to those type of games. Still had to wear mask, it seems the game stores are still in fear. I dislike purchasing online but until policies change, no use going in if I cant breath.

This store is a marvelous corner for nerding out in the east valley. I brought my daughter here, and she was able to spend time browsing and found a perfect figurine for her D&D character.The staff was very friendly and whatever they didnt know immediately they were willing to patiently speak with us to help figure things out.I have also recently joined the Tuesday night D&D group and I had a wonderful experience with the players and the DM. They were willing to help answer questions as I got back in to things, and let me easily join their activities.Great place and I look forward to being a regular attendee for their game groups.

The staff... very friendly and helpful. They greeted me as I walked in and they have, I believe, all of the D&D miniatures you will ever need. Tons of MTG cards and Even sell warhammer 40k. Just a great place to play your favorite table-top game or card game.check them out!

First time ever interacting with this place and it was a terrible experience. I had 2 unopened packs of Warhammer 40k Custodes and I called before going in and told them what I had and they said they would be happy to buy them off me. I took a bus an hour an a half to get to their store only to be told me they would not buy them because they already had one of each on the shelf. After explaining that I had already talked to someone on the phone and was told to come in, the employee simply said sorry but we dont need this stuff. It wouldnt be so bad if they werent one of only 2 stores in town that bought this stuff. Staff was also rude in the way they went about explaining themselves. I cant recommend this place at all. Go to Tabletop Games or Games U. Not this place.

Visited there earlier today great place, and great environment, helpful staff, wonderful selection, whether youre in a hurry or want to spend time browsing you should consider stopping by, they might just have something youre looking for.

They took time with me and made sure I wasn’t buy stuff that would not work for me. I like the mask requirement and that they take safety seriously. Keep it up.

Ive never been to a tabletop RPG store or any kind of nerdy store in general. The staff was nice they had lots of minis and lots of D&D books, which was cool. and they also offered weekly paid games to let you try out new systems which I think is cool definitely coming back in the future.

The staff here are super friendly. They keep a great stock of games workshop products and pokemon. They are one of the best game stores in the valley.

Large and unclaustrophobic, pretty good range of items, friendly and helpful staff, good prices on used miniatures, i would reccomend.

Prices are reasonable, and in some cases, better than what you can find online. There are plenty of tables for casual play and for wargaming and CCG events.Many different options for your miniature needs, whether its Warhammer, D&D, Star Wars etc. I appreciated the variety in paint brands: Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, as well as many different colors, shades, washes, brushes, etc.Athoria Games also has...games! There are many different board/card games for family/children, adults, teens, etc. that span game styles like Euro worker placement, deck building, RPGs, Munchkin and so on. Also present are Pokemon and MTG products and accessories.I highly recommend checking them out. I know Ill be back.

Wonderful store and owner, in person games felt casual and fun, prizes seemed pretty lax but, I blame that more on wizards than the store two thumbs up 👍👍

I live across the street but even if I didnt Id go out of my way to get my warhammer stuff here. Good selection even during these strange times. Employees and ownership are always fantastic.

A lot more games than I expected. Dont expect to find common, retail games though. More of a special interest store. No Hungry Hungry Hippos, more D&D

Great gaming store, lots of Warhammer 40k miniatures, Magic the Gathering cards , Other collectible cards games, painting and modeling supplies, Dungeons and Dragons miniatures and gaming supplies. Looks like a fun place to gather and play games once the gathering restrictions are lifted. The staff I have met have been nice and very knowledgeable. Check it out.

Nice selection of Warhammer 40k models and paints in stock, friendly folks... Dont try to have your Honda serviced there, on site mechanic doesnt know his stuff.

Athoria games is great. I bring my son here all the time for magic games and to feed his addiction to Gundum models. It has been a lifesaver during Covid times, with new games and activities to keep our locked-in family busy for a good long time!

Wouldnt reccomend. I gave this store three tries and maybe it was just the one person who was the one to help me each time but they were rude and demeaning each time I interacted with them. I got the sense that this person thought they were better then everyone. I was only met with sarcastic remarks when I asked them to turn off whatever was playing in the store temporarily as I was with my kid nephew and it was highly inappropriate (My mother would of beat this kid{the employee was on the younger side}).The prices at this store are higher then most everywhere else too. Never going to this store again despite it being the closest one to where I live. Highly recommend you AVOID THIS STORE!

Love the workers, and they always have events too! (Though I havent been to one myself, my friends often go.) The prices are fair, which makes shopping there even more enjoyable. I love supporting local game stores, and this is one of my favorites!

My girlfriend and I were interested in trying out Magic so we headed to Athoria to try out the sample packs and get a taste of the game. Shawn was great in helping us through the whole process and expertly communicated each phase of the game, along with showing a great deal of patience for new players like us. Athoria Games provides a common play space to the community, which is something that is lacking a lot in this side of Mesa. The sore has helpful staff and is filled with many gaming items from game cards to collectible items. The selection of used video games may be lacking, but the store’s main focus is table top gaming.Would love to come back if they have introductory sessions to different games.

Friendly staff, good area for MTG, Warhammer, great selection of minis. I have been visiting this store since it opened, and watched the store adjust to demand. As a pen and paper gamer they have the books, mats, dice and figs that I need in stock most of the time. They are not the cheapest, but if that is all you want, order online.

I came by around ... 6 months ago? My wife and i happened to swing through on a whim, and were taken back with nostalgia. Racks upon racks of cards, minis, table top games, etc. Tools for painting, accessories for card games, play mats, single cards, etc. It was beautifully organized. Our daughter this last week has decided she wants to get into the Pokemon TCG, and we acquired a large collection for her to start off. We want to get her trained up, and know we can get all of the supplies we need here.On our visit we noticed a clean kept store. Well lit, well organized. No trash cans full, or left over soda cans. Seats/tables cleaned, and chairs pushed in. I was greeted quickly, and was able to chat with (from what i remember was the owner?). Super friendly, and overall just loved the place. I cant wait to take my daughter in their this weekend to pick up supplies :) I hope more people support this place.

Great place to shop for all your minature painting/gaming needs

Ive come to the store three times. Each time I walk in, I go unacknowledged by staff, who are typically chatting with a friend or what appears another co-worker. After a while of standing in line patiently, I may be asked if I needed help. Selection isnt very large, but the store itself is kind of charming.These were minor things to me, as I was looking for a new game shop to dedicate myself to. But what really made me mad, was I was told that Adventure League for D&D is every Tuesday (which was the next day). The staff even stated he hoped Id show tomorrow and to be early to create a character. Hesitant, I decided to check it out.I got off a bit early from work and head in to Athoria. Once again, I was not acknowledged by staff (remember Im a new customer/player who has no idea where to go). At that point I literally waited in line at the counter, while the staff packed away cards and talked about MTG to a man who was not paying, and not even in line. After a couple minutes, I had to politely interrupt to inquire what Id need for Adventures League today.The staff had no idea. He yelled over at someone else, who informed me I had wasted my time. Adventure League isnt today. Sadly Im done with Athoria Games. Reading online I found other shops with active schedules the staff seem to know and keep. Its just a bummer how excited I was to give this place a try.

One of the better game stores Ive been to, with an incredibly diverse selection of minis. Well kept and clean, it even had a beautifully appointed ladies room. A great experience!

Great staff, great parking. Store is bright, clean, organized very well. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and really there for customer service not just sales. I was part of a larger magic tournament and the entire time the staff was making sure people were happy, the play area stayed clean, and any issues were dealt with quickly.

Great place to find DnD miniatures and dice. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Just wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

Nice selection, nice enough store. Wanted to buy $300 in citadel paints if theyd price match another local store (10% off retail), but they said they sell enough without discounting them. Oh well, their choice.Bought a hundred bucks worth of stuff while I was there just up patron a local establishment, but taking my bulk business back to where I know.

Came by to check out some of the 40k stuff at the store a bit ago, but was disheartened about the apparent bragging about getting cheap models online that were 3D printed. I think the main person was an employee, tall guy with a beard and glasses, hanging around the tabletop games. I find it unfortunate that a store would have an employee stating that, when whoever owns the store sells the same models. That already made me not feel good, on top of it the 40k players I saw there made me feel uncomfortable as all the lists I saw were hyper competitive and were not the sort I would recommend to anyone to play at your local game store as it was more like what you saw at an GT event or something of the like, not a casual place to play pick up games. Overall the atmosphere was okey, bathrooms needed work and the selection of product wasn’t bad. Just don’t agree with what I saw player base wise, and the employee openly talking about the cheap recasts.

The owners are wonderful! I met them outside the shop earlier today and they told me all about their new shop. When it opens I will for sure be buying all my gaming utilities here! This is a mom and pop gaming store with a very comfortable and friendly environment.

I went to learn about Star Wars Destiny from a group of experienced players. I cant tell if the players or the employees were friendlier. I was nervous to break into something new and I could not have been more welcomed by staff and players alike. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to play on the East Valley.
