Ive been getting my oil/filter changed and tires rotated here for years. In various instances, theyve attempted to sell me things I did not need which I sadly expect as a woman in most service-related instances. But todays experience took the cake. I requested an oil/filter change and tire rotation/balance. The service department was not busy and they took my car in quickly. Within about 20 minutes, I was called to the counter. Ive spent a lifetime around mechanics and machinery and I knew that 20 minutes was an insufficient amount of time to both change the oil and filter as well as rotate and balance the tires. I asked if the tires had been rotated and I was told no, they had not. I asked that they be rotated (this is *supposed to be* a complimentary service included with any oil chance - and considering my oil change was synthetic and priced at $92.46, I expected it). I asked that they rotate the tires. The technician appeared disgruntled and took my keys and car back again.Several minutes later, I was called to the counter again. The technician returned my keys with an air of disgust. But I assumed the tire rotation and balance had been completed this time, so I paid and left. My car has an automatic pressure reading that I can see at any time from inside the cabin. The tires were rotated, as I had noted their air pressure prior to arrival. But they were not even checked for air and left totally unbalanced. I phoned to speak with a manager and one called me back within about 15 minutes. I told him about the entire experience and said I felt like I had been discriminated against as a female. He attempted to make excuses for the technician by mansplaining that perhaps their tire gauge was off. I believe I know how to operate a tire gauge better than the technicians at this Gateway Tire and Service Center. I wont return and hope other women take note.

The men here are really nice and extremely helpful. I needed to fill up a tire and they even offered to make sure all 9 of the rest of my tires were full and unlike Alot of other places Ive been to lately they were really nice about it, and didnt make me feel like an inconvenience at all. Now, Ive never had any other services here because Im just passing through the area but if youre look for friendly mechanics this is definitely the place to go.

So I took my truck in because I thought it was a water pump come to find out it was the radiator so I had them replace it with all the lines took 3 days when the truck was done I picked it up paid the bill got it home set for about 2 hours I jumped in it to go get some dinner and I heard a loud pop and the smell of oil 15 seconds after that my truck started knocking as if there was no oil because there was none the clip that holds in the oil filler line into the radiator was not secured to the radiator so it blew off through oil all over my engine everywhere called them let them know they were more than happy to fix it knowing it was their fault they sent their own tow truck to come pick my truck up and take it back to be repaired.thankful for that although it should have been fixed right the first time.

Wouldnt fix my hole in my tire ,. But didnt have a tire in my size to sell. So left me with a flat tire at a tire store?? But the guy was nice

Sob,s dint tighten a bolt like they said ,and caused my AC compressor to come lose ,the serpentine belt broke and burnt the engine up

I cannot say enough good things about Wes. My 86 year old Mother had a flat and needed new tires. He got her car, replaced the tires with new ones that she needed and returned the car to her within a couple of hours. You cant ask for any better service on a busy Saturday.

Some miscommunication at first but Wes took care of it and made it right. Great service.

Came here for oil change and did complete check up before leaving for Arizona. Got to Arkansas and our truck engine light came on. Wasnt sure why so we stopped at rest area to check. There wasnt even a drop of oil. These people didnt even put new oil in after draining out the old oil. Will never come here again and will not recommend to anyone.

Made my tire purchase easy, salesman was great.

They used the wrong size socket on the lug nuts when they rotated the tires we bought from them. Then rounded off the lug nuts and told my wife, she needed new lug nuts since they were worn. They are the only ones who rotated the tires. I was going to go complain but they just lost my business instead.

We were traveling when we realized one of the tires was going flat. I googled tire places near us and this place came up. They have many bays so they are able to get to you immediately! We waited only about 20-30 minutes and $20 and we were safely back in the road again! Great place.

This was my frist time coming to this place and I can definitely not recommend coming here, They kept saying what they wanted done which was well put your old tire back on for you depist seeing the obvious whole in it and that i had a donut. I told them I wasnt sure on the size but the old one was in the trunk. How in hells name do you get put the old one on, i had even called before coming to ask about pricing and said Ill be coming in for a NEW tire.. only needed a new tire put on due to mine blowing out. It took two hours (I arrived at 7 didnt leave till almost 19:30). I mean im sure theyre good on other things but theyre time management and communication needs to be worked on.

Tire pressure light came on so we stopped at Gateway for inspection. There was a screw in the tire. Fast service! Great customer service! Thanks!

Wish I could give NO STARS WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SHOULD I STATE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Drove from Rurherford county to get oil changed and visit with family in area. Stood at front counter for over 5 minutes never greeted never asked if I could be helped. Left went to Hullets greeted as soon as I walked in and asked what I needed. Gateway has LOST MY BUSINESS!!!! Dont waste your time go to Hullets way better

Being a young female who travels a lot I always feel nervous going into a shop and being taken advantage of but all the guys at the shop were extremely helpful and genuine. They offered me great information in regards to what was wrong with my car and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. The honesty and professionalism was apperappred!

Paul and the techs here do a great job. Had them check the brakes- could have sold me front and rear pads, but after a careful inspection the tech said that they werent needed. I have bought at least four sets of Yokohama tires on as many vehicles and have never been disappointed.

New tires and oil change for an unbelievable price. Guys working there are very nice. One happy camper here!

The workers are highly knowledgeable and professional. The place is conveniently placed near the main intersection heading towards McMinnville. Ive gotten my oil changed twice here and next month Ill be going back for another oil change and a tune-up. I highly recommend this place.

Great service center. My girl friend bought a set of tires earlier this year from Gateway. they could not put an alignment on the car because it needed some work(mainly lower control arms/ball joints). I prefer to do the work myself when i can. I finally got the parts changed and took the car back to have the alignment and balance the tires.the guys at the front desk were very helpful. they got my car in right away. the guys in the shop were AWESOME. the car drives great.*******EDITED 11-20-20**********went back about 2 months ago and got 5 tires for my truck. everything went great except I asked for them NOT to put Nitrogen in my tires,, THEY DID it any way. I still need to let the Nitrogen out and refill the tire with compressed air. NOT happy about that, but Ill live.on 11-18-20 I sent my daughter up to Gateway for 4 tires. I got a quote of around $172 total , for 2 tires($171 and change), about a week before, but they only had 2 in stock. I called back on 11-16-20 to see if they had all 4 tires. they did not. the man I spoke to said they have a better tire, a 65K tire in the size I needed and they were CHEAPER. I had him put 4 tires on hold for me. I sent my daughter up there on Wednesday afternoon. the set of 4 tires cost me $380 plus. Im no math wiz but 172 and 172 seems to be less then the CHEAPER tires at over $380. I know its only about $40 but it was MY $40. I could NOT get time off from work to take the car there myself. I would have expressed my opinion in person.

As usual they going above and beyond what most other shops have done for me. I have tags and insurance on 6 different vehicles and put 100,000 miles a year at least on at least one of those vehicles.Gateway is pretty much my first choice these days if they agree to the work and are available.

I take my car here for any problem and have always done me right. Great job and customer service.

My son had 4 tires put on wanted front end aligned wouldnt do it said needed 2 ball joints idler arm pitman arm 1200 dollars parts were 350 dollars 900 hundred dollars 4 labor took 2 another mechanic needs idler arm nothing else was going to have 2 tires put on his wives car I was going to have 2 put on my truck not now lost our business I know you have to make money 900 dollars labor 4 couple hrs a little steep always get a second opinion may save yourself a lot of money

Would give 5 but not a lot of tire selection in stock and are really slow. Waited 3 hours to change 4 tires. They said they only had a few oil changes ahead of me.

I just sat at gateway tire over an hour and a half waiting to get a patch on a tire I had a screw in. Got passed up by at least three or four vehicles one of those came in after I was already there. Will not be doing business with gateway tire in Manchester Tennessee ever again. I suggest you find a different location to handle your vehicle service needs.

Got a nail in the sidewall of a tire. Took the rim in to get a new tire. Had a nice selection of tires. Got a new tire on the rim fast. Good professional place.

The guys who work here are top notch in my book. I was in an accident on 26 east, I was wedged into the divider by a 18 wheeler. The police officer escorted me there with a broken rim. When the guys arrived at 7 I told them what happened. Unfortunately they do not carry the rim I needed, the manager made a list of places to try to find the rim I needed. They also installed my spare for no charge. After visiting 2 junkyards and a Chevrolet dealership the parts guy found a junkyard in shelbyville that had what I needed. I called the guys back at the Manchester location and they told me to go to the shelbyville location.

These guys are always so nice and helpful and not trying to charge you for little things like checking air pressure. Good place to get tires serviced for anything else I go to a mechanic

Gave them specific instructions on which tires I wanted changed. They made a choice to completely ignore my instructions because they decided to change the ones easier for them so they wouldnt have to rotate leaving me with the bad tire I wanted to replace which is leaking air badly. Will never return

HORRIBLE!! My girlfriend slid on ice and hit a curb, so we took the car in as it had very bad trouble steering. They called with a quote saying it just needed an alignment before they even put the car on the lift! But it gets better. Now it needs a new control arm. So they replace the control arm and we get the car back, on the way home she noticed a roar in the tire over the radio, so we now have to take the car back to them. They call to tell us it also has a bad wheel bearing and the next day it was fixed and ready for us to pick up again. This time I had some questions for them. Like, After replacing a the Control arm did you test drive it? If they did they would have heard the noise, or they test drove it and didnt pay attention. The managers answer was the wheel bearing must have failed after the test drive. All the while he was belligerent and incredibly rude to us both, told us to get out. Well, the car still isnt fixed as the ABS light and Traction control light wont go out. Shoddy work at best and horrible service. Save your time and money, avoid them at all cost!

Been coming here about 10 years now since I moved to town, off and on Have two other places I go to for specific types of service. Never bad and more importantly Alex the new manager gets it. While waiting on my wifes car we talked about out similar retail experiences managing (his vehicle service) and (my auto glass) and yes you cannot make 100% of the people happy because that is the nature of the beast. Got all new brakes on the Mercedes in time for our road trip to Indy so the wife wouldnt have to suffer the trip in my truck.For the reviewer who said they charged extra for a part, you have to realize that if you want the part same or next day it costs more. If you surf the internet for 4 days to prove that yes you can get one cheaper, with no warranty, in a week or so - yes you can get it cheaper. Deal with it.

I went and got 2 tires and 2 weeks later I felt like a tire was out of balance and went in and explained the problem. immediately they took care of it . If I need tires agian its an easy decision.Im going to gateway.

We got a flat tire just outside of town while on the way to a job site. We rolled into the shop at 8 am and were on our way in less than half an hour. Friendly staff, great service and excellent price.

Gateway has always done me right in the past, work is sound and without flaw. The owner and the employees treat their customers with respect, without treating them like an idiot like most places in todays day and age.

Gateway Tire did not have what I needed, but the customer service I received from a gentleman by the name of Paul was outstanding. His willingness to help is enough for me to revisit this Gateway Tire for future tire needs.

Took my kia forte in today for my brake pads to be changed and rotors to be turned......well I did and all of a sudden my axle boot is busted control arm bushen bad and also NOW WHEN I HE MY BRAKES MY BRAKES KNOCK!!!!! Then they said I told them when I brought it in it was knocking... it has never knocked and the only thing I said was Im here for my brakes to be changed. So they essentially called me a liar and some how messed my car up. Ive only had my car for 4 months, and it only has 77,xxx miles on it its a 2013. I want my car fixed!!!

Been dealt a bad hand for the last time. Every time you go in you wait at least 2hrs. even if you have an appointment and show up early. You ask them to check something out and they completely forget about it then make you wait some more instead of getting you right back in to correct the problem. I have been wronged for the last time avoid this place at all costs and tell your friends to as well.
