We bought an engagement ring at Kays in Gateway Mall Lincoln NE I September, 2020 and are back today to order our wedding bands. The same Store Manager Marissa Kruse worked with us on both visits. She made both experiences very memorable for my fiance Yolanda and I. Marrissa did an awesome job of finding wedding bands which were both beautiful and that fit well within our budget. He came back to Kays because they know how to make a customer feel valued and special.

Paid 2700$ on a engagement ring on the 5 September paid to have it sized and some thing changed on the ring . They promised it would be ready the 22th of September so I called Kay’s to see if it was ready because I was going to co for vacation and to propose. They said they sent it in as a estimate for work they never called me to inform me and then said 6 more days to get it done called back in 6 days then they told me 10 more days to get it back . Still not done no ring and it’s been about a month . Was told the manager would call still haven’t heard anything from them yet. Already made 2 payments still no ring

Went to Kay Jewlers at Gateway Mall in Lincoln looking to buy some diamond earings for my wife as an anniversary gift. Found some bought some. To me I thought they looked fine. I fully trusted I was buying what I was told I was buying. They cleaned them and wrapped them for me.A week later I gave them to my wife. She loved them. Super excited. She went to put them on and noticed one of the backs looked like it had ear gunk on them. Yuck! That was the first red flag. That made us looked closer. Then we both noticed ones clarity was better than the other. Second red flag. Looked even closer, one was bigger than the other. Granted had I studied these closer at the store I may have noticed, but again I trusted that I wasnt being deceived.The next day, we took the earings in to show them what we noticed. The guy at the counter noticed it as well without even me telling him. He was as shocked as I was. He asked what I wanted to do at this point and I told him I wanted him to test to see if they were real. At this point I had lost all trust but thought for sure they would still be real diamonds.. He ran both of his testers on them along with another girl that was at the counter. They tested as Moissonite. Yep. I paid over $3,000 for a pair of earings I was told were a total of 1.2 ct diamond. These earrings were worth maybe $100. At this point both workers were telling me their tools were overdue to be re calibrated and trying to ensure me they would never sell fake jewelry. We then gave them my wifes wedding ring that we bought at Michael Tish and what do you know, it tested as diamond.Again he asked what I would like to do. I was speechless. Didnt know what to say. I told him I wanted to return them and get my money back. He said due to the amount Ill have to wait 7-10 days to get my money back.. fine whatever. Hopefully I can trust theyll get my funds back to me.This whole experience was absolutely terrible in so many ways. It has to make you wonder how many people are walking around thinking they bought diamonds from Kay Jewlers when they could have went to Claires and bought the same pair for $13.99.Lesson learned. I will never buy from Kay Jewlers again. I encourage everyone to avoid these fraudulent crooks. I will also never buy jewelry again without having it tested first.Thanks Kay Jewlers for ruining what was supposed to be a special anniversary gift and moment with my wife and I.

Horrible customer service!Soon to be newly weds we went to go pick out my fiancés new wedding ring ,Although I’m sure the lady is a nice person she was not helpful once we gave ideas about we were looking at and she rushed the process,She didn’t tell us the price before the order was placed , when we asked for an estimate pick up date it was past our wedding date and instead of being helpful it was a “ you get what you get” kind of situation.

Terrible customer service!! Took my ring in to get cleaned and the lady handed it back to me with a diamond missing. They sent it in to get fixed and got it back 2 weeks later with a gap in the corner where the diamond was missing. When I took it back in a lady with black hair was extremely rude and told me I’d have to wait 2 more weeks and didn’t even listen to my concerns, she then tried to get me to buy something afterward (IVE WORKED IN SALES FOR YEARS AND THATS NOT HOW YOU GET A SALE!) . It’s now been 3 and a half weeks since I got my ring back and I went into the store and they didn’t even know what was wrong with the ring so it’s been sitting for 3 and a half weeks with no one working on it and I get married at the end of this month!!! They told us they wild have the ring overnighted and we would get it the next day (THIS WAS A WEEK AGO!!) They lost our business because my fiancé went and bought his wedding ring at the jewelers across from them after this happened and I’ll also be buying my wedding band at the other jewelers as well. Stay away from this unprofessional company where all they will care about is a sale!

Kay Jewelers can be hit and miss at times. My last purchase was a miss due to the necklace breaking every time my girlfriend put it on. This purchase was a direct hit! The tennis bracelet is beautiful and looks amazing on her wrist. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I always love going into this store! They are very nice and helpful people! They helped my husband 8 years ago pick my engagement ring and then agin helped us find a beautiful ring for our five year anniversary! Thanks you for being and awesome and very helpful store!

Absolutely horrible customer service. After buying our wedding rings as their affiliate store, Jereds in another state, we started taking our jewelry to Kays for the 6 month inspections. The last time we wre there we were told that they have all files on computer now and do not need our paper work. Great! with in a day or two I received an email stating that my ear rings and my pendant passed inspection, but there was no mention of my and my spouses wedding rings, which were custom made. I called the store and was told that they their record stated that the rings had been returned (which we could not do as they were custom made). I assured them this was not the case and they had just been inspected. I was told that a manager would loo into it and be back with me shortly. Nope. After a week and a half I called back. I told my story to the manager who put me on hold as she looked into it. I finally hung up after 15 minutes of waiting. Calling back I was immediately put on hold again .... writing this as I have been waiting for another 15 minutes. Hanging up, grabbing my paper work and heading to the store to get this taken care of.

Was great at first but took wife ring in to be resized and said couldnt but would make new or replace 6 months later still havent gotten it back. Manager wont give out correct info for her boss n still waiting for a reply from main office or anyone on when problem will be fixed

If i could rate zero stars i would. Worst customer service ever. Couldnt size my ring right. Cut and sized it 4 times and still wrong. Ordered me a whole new ring then i called 6 weeks later and they have no record of ordering me a ring. Dont shop here. Bunch of idiots.
