This is a gem of a coffee place. The actual drink was exquisite, pastries up to par, the atmosphere gives you the impression of going directly to the source of the coffee beans, and inspired to work/study/read etc.The best part is that, unlike modern coffee chains, the staff is proud of their work and there is no lousy/noisy music.Quite a delightful stop on our road trip.

Hands down the coffee here rocks my world! Best coffee in downtown Lincoln I would argue. Not just that, but the staff are friendly, cool, and sweet. :) The outdoor patio is perfect for non-hot days as the flies come-out in droves. The inside is charming, clean, and ample space to chill. Did I mention they open super early (6:30AM)? Lastly, the diversity here makes me wonder why I havent moved here yet. A great mix of people from all different types of walk of life. If you have a layover in LNK for a couple of hours and looking to relax and be cool, stop on by here: highly recommend.

I enjoyed going to the mill for coffee close to 20 years ago when I would visit my grandmother in Lincoln. Still has amazing coffee now!

Had a chocolate croissant and medium white mocha latte hot. The croissant was amazing but I wish it could have been warmed up. (Didnt offer this?) And my latte was make with coconut milk when I didnt ask for that. And it was not busy I was the only one in line so it wasnt a mistake of me grabbing the wrong one. I also basically had to yank conversation out of the cashier making my coffee. He seemed very annoyed. Over all loved the environment and the vibe of the coffee shop. Will go back.

This is a fun little spot that reminds me of home and 40 years ago. You have the locals that are sitting around talking politics right next to the coffee roaster. The service and speed was great and the coffee was hot and good. I would come back to visit and work. Bonus for me - they have VEGAN options for breakfast with bars, oatmeal, or bowls.

The Mill is one of my favorite coffee shops in Lincoln and the other Mill locations are on that favorites list too. This location in particular is my favorite though. I’ve always enjoyed coming down to the Haymarket and just watching the environment around me while I enjoy a snack and coffee. The inside of the shop has a very warm and inviting feel, the decor is always worth looking at time and time again. The patio seating is my absolute favorite though, at night it’s just beautiful with the lights, flowers, and downtown sounds. Friday when we stopped we got to enjoy a bonus on the patio, we watched the fireworks going off at the Saltdogs Stadium from our seats.

One of many great coffee shops in Lincoln. This location in the Haymarket is usually busy, especially on the weekends, but still worth stopping in. Coffee is great and they have a small selection of foods including sandwiches, salads, wraps, and some baked goods.

Being from a coffee town find the Mill was heavenly. There are lots of great restaurants in Lincoln but great coffee is harder to find. The Mill was perfect. We found ourselves there twice and even three times a day. You know a great coffee shop when there are people waiting outside the door before it opens. My black eye was strong and yummy. The ice coffee was great in the afternoon.

A Lincoln favorite. Great place to spend time with friends or to get work done-- very kid/family friendly too! We stop by almost everytime were in the Haymarket.

Sub par service. They guilt you into tipping. Every time I go to a coffee shop that has the decency to not outright ask for a tip after every transaction, I now have a lot more respect for them.

The latte isn’t smooth anymore. Burnt tasting and seems like the quality went downhill. I was here a year ago and it tasted much different, or so I thought. Nothing smooth about it today.

I love the mint tea blend here, I think its called Millies mix, its peppermint, spearmint and love, its so good! Perfect for sipping on the patio and people watching in the Haymarket. I am also a fan of the mocha beans, theyre addictive!

Great place to work, people watch, and sip on tasty drinks. The chicory coffee is a surprise hit, and the sheer value of getting a cup of coffee to stay while you study is unbeatable. Gets very crowded on game days and during the farmers market.

Great atmosphere and great coffee as well. I especially like the paper cups they give with their coffee, they have a ribbed outside so they dont burn your hand like the cups from every other place that sells hot coffee.

I came here today around 9am to get a coffee and sandwich. The latte is probably one of the best lattes Ive ever had. SO smooth and delicious. I hope I get to come back to Lincoln to get another sometime! The turkey sandwich was also SO good. The aioli sauce on it was very yummy. Thanks!

Wow. I really want to love this place, but I can’t. I have been here twice and the baristas both times couldn’t make a latte. I think the training here is insufficient. I asked for a quad shot latte. They measured out one brew basket worths of espresso grounds and pulled all four of my shots out of it. I am a barista at another local coffee shop, and with my nearly 3 years of experience, I have never had any newbies I trained even make a drink that poor. It was so empty and bitter. Couldn’t even taste the milk at all. The mouthfeel... like eating recycled paper pulp. Acrid. Awful. Also couldn’t taste the poor marshmallow syrup I paid 35 cents extra for. The environment is so nice, and I love that they are the only coffee shop in Lincoln open until 10pm... but what is the point in getting my latte here if I pay 5ish bucks for it and then can’t even get it down.

One of my favorite places in Lincoln. I like to go there get some coffee and get some work done on my laptop. Honestly, its not the best cappuccino or coffee mocha I have had probably due to the baristas way of making it, but generally the Mill is ine of the best places.

I am a flight attendant and get coffee in every town I go to this place is one of my favorites from first walking in it’s not over the top and they don’t greet you with an overly bubbly smile. It’s just a real midwestern kindness and matter of fact they really know there coffee and tees but without the pretentious you find in other places that know coffee. They have a store that is very well rounded. There prices are more then fair and I can’t wait to have another layover here because I will go here first thanks so much for a great experience

I love to walk my dogs in the Haymarket and end here when the weather is right. As far as drinks go -many options...several food options from high quality bake shops in our area as well. You can get a plain coffee and jazz it up with all sorts of accoutrements they provide. The inside is such a condusive space for work or conversation, so warm in the winter..and I love to sit by the windows and watch the world go by....

An excellent place to grab a coffee to go, sit and study, or get some freshly ground beans! The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable and ready to assist or answer questions. Ive bought several different roasts from here but my friends and I all agree that the Nebraska blend is the best one (so far of the ones weve tried at least!) Its become my go-to gift for the friends and family coffee lovers who live outside of Nebraska. Definitely recommend this place if youre a coffee lover or a new coffee connoisseur!

Great selection of beans/grounds, mugs, kitchen items in addition to nice craft beverages. Baristas are well mannered and swift in how quickly they serve the beverages.Plus, if you buy whole beans, they can grind them for you and will ask what you intend to use them for (Keurig, coffee pot, etc) and grind them a specific way.

Ya need Mo flavors, like if I wanted a Dutch Apple latte with almond milk. The Ambiance is very nice in there very rustic

The barista who served me was friendly, quick, and helpful. I just got a half pound of artisan Ethiopian Sidamo beans for $7.25. Best deal Ive found for whole bean coffee of this calibre! They have my recommendation!

Ive been a regular customer at The Mill for a while now and I love the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the coffee. The granita is my favorite drink. Im not sure why but a handful of times, including today, my granita has been foamy. Its been mostly foam and nearly no liquid and is not fun to drink.

Rated #1 best coffee house in Lincoln in 2018, this coffee and tea shop has high quality beverage options. Their drip coffee was smooth from well-roasted beans and the tea (I ordered their Dung Ti Oolong) was rich and expertly steeped. The ambiance is quaint and the rooms are quite spacious with plenty of tables for casual and serious study.

Really cool location, but the atmosphere can get too loud if you are trying to focus on work. The spiced chai latte is my go-to drink, but Im a fan of the mocha too. Not a lot of tables so it can fill up fast. Location is great, as there is a lot of other things nearby, but finding parking downtown can be frustrating.

Bad coffee. The milk was over steamed, and the coffee itself had no distinguishing flavors or notes. Latte tasted like an superheated cup of milk. Cool environment and fits culture of the street corner it sits on. Plenty of space to work.

The Mill is a Lincoln staple, and lives up to its name. The atmosphere is very homey and inviting. They have free wifi and the have a great selection of food and baked goods. The coffee is decent, but have found it to be watered down at times. This place is worth a visit.

The Mill is a great coffeehouse in The Haymarket. The atmosphere is pleasant and most generally quiet. Its close to UNL, so there are quite a few college students that happen to go there to study or socialize.A nice selection of coffee and teas. I dont know the day they do it, but there is a coffee roaster in the front area of The Mill. I would guess the smell on roasting day is pretty magical!

One of the original coffee shops in Lincoln. They roast their own coffee. Seating indoors and outdoors. Great selection of loose-leaf tea. They have goodies to eat, a selection of music and gifts. They used to have a selection of boardgames to play. This is a popular place for students from the university.

The atmosphere at this downtown location is great for meeting with friends or setting up shop to get some work done. If youve never been, Id highly recommend their cold brew. This is my go-to coffee shop. They brew good coffee and you get a free refill with a regular coffee purchase. It’s a nice place to study and they have a lot of seating. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

My wife and I get coffee at the Mill quite regularly. We enjoy sitting outside and people watching. The dock is great for this! We have been noticing over time though, that the furniture on the dock is, seemingly, never washed. The arms of the chairs are quite greasy and make you want to go wash your hands regularly.I usually only get one type of drink there (which is why I regularly frequent certain places, because I like that one thing). I will, occasionally get just coffee though...and regret it. The coffee they serve in the pots is usually quite terrible.The Mill, please clean your dock furniture!

I went in the mill 2 yrs ago and I swore that I would never return. The individuals were rude and not helpful at all. I heard that the people working there had become more friendly. I had to check it out one more time. Not only were they friendly but extremely helpful. Thank you

Great place for coffee, whether youre buying a cup or purchasing in bulk. I love buying coffee beans here, and they have so many varieties.Its usually busy, regardless of the time. You may have to squeeze into a small table, but they make good use of the space they have. When its nice out, the patio fills up quickly!
