Wow! Im new in town and what a nice hardware store and friendly staff. The store is stocked really well. I highly recommend.

What can I say, ACE IS THE PLACE If everyone treated and assisted theyre customers like Ace does (instead of acting like they didnt even notice you) I wouldnt despise having to go to the store. Any store. And as great they are other stores havent figured it out yet. Amazing !!

This store is HUGE! Covers nearly a whole block! Has everything you need and pretty much everything else you could want (in a hardware store, that is)! Its managed by the grand-daughter of the gentleman who originally opened the store way back when. Pretty neat!

I really like the ace rewards program!. It saves some money. Lanier Ace Hardware have specials on a lot of different things occasionally. Also they have some hardware items, tools, houseware items, paint and accessories and so on. Very friendly family business people and staff! I and my husband have shopped there many years and will continue.

Needed help with my gas logs and Grayson was great at getting things started. He said that Stan was the expert and he would get him on the case the next day. Stan knows his stuff for sure. He called and I came back by and he hooked them up to show that they were working well and gave me some tips as well. Very much appreciated Stan!! This is small town America at its best. Family run businesses are the life blood of our communities and I am so glad we have Laniers in Lexington!

This is absolutely one of my most favorite stores. They have all kinds of things you cant find anywhere else & the environment is so at home feeling. Will ALWAYS go back.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I called Thursday 4/29/21 and asked about a pink 30oz. Yeti Rambler to see if they had the color I needed, spoke to the sweetest man, told him I lived in Asheboro but had to go out of town and would not be able to get up their until Saturday and asked about their hold policy. He said he didnt think they could hold for that long, which was fine and I said I would be up their on Saturday 5/1.I called around 4:45pm on Saturday, spoke to a lady who was very rude, I told her that I had previously spoke to someone about a yeti and said I know you close at 5pm but I would be there at 4:58, just making sure the doors would still be open. She shrugged and her response was; Ugh well you can try, I mean we close at 5. So I replied okay well ill give it a try thank you, she said mhmm and hung up.When I got to the door on the front side of downtown it was 4:58, first time I had ever been there so I was unaware there was another side. I walked up to the door and it was locked, there was a lady behind the register and another employee standing their talking. When I went to open the door, they looked at me and started pointing, thinking they were telling me to pull the door or open it another way, a guy came up to the door pulled his mask down, and being smart he put his hands to his mouth and made a sad face and pointed to the time on the door, and said to drive around back.Already being frustrated at the rudeness of the lady when I called, I walked in the other side of the store and he had made his way down to the other entrance just to tell me, he was just messing with me and I told him that it was okay, but I already spoke with a lady earlier who was very rude and he didnt make it any better, he still had the nerve to continue to talk back to me and said, well that wasnt me. My reply back was its all good.Unfortunately I had to purchase the rambler for my mom because this store was the only one who had it, but I will not be back.Please go to another Ace Hardware.

99% of the time the staff know exactly where whatever you are looking for is. As the saying goes if Laniers aint got it they dont make it.

Called Laniers with the hope that they had a well pump control box. They were extremely helpful & pulled the item to hold for us. We were so grateful, since none of the big box stores had this item. When we went to pick up our item, & looked around, all of the staff was helpful & courteous. Many of the staff asked if we needed anything or help. In this time of covid, they all were respectful of space & wearing their masks. The control box was waiting for us at the checkout & fixed our problem. Thanks!

Great selection of quality products, at quality prices. Very nice friendly family atmosphere with very knowledgeable employees who care about their customers. Every employee i passed offered to help me find what I was looking for. Asked about disc gold discs and they pointed me right to them. Then someone else came by and started explaining each one of they so I knew what I was buying.Going to try to go to Laniers more often than lowes...they are much more knowledgeable about their producta.

Laniers is great. They have everything and then some. We moved to Georgia but I still like to stop in and look around whenever we are in Lexington.

I would have gave them five stars but I stood in front of the key making machine for 10 minutes while the lady stood 15 feet away from me in the middle of the aisle and ignored me I had to walk up there and ask her excuse me can you find someone to make a key for me oh I can do that she says after Ive been standing there for 10 minutes I got two out of three keys made so I was happy

Wow!! I still have yet to venture all the way through the store! New Lexington resident. Blown away by the huge selection & customer service! Try them first. It may save you multiple trips looking for something you need. Gift items, household supplies, nuts, bolts, screws of every type & measurement, paint, power tools, & even cake decorating supplies! The president, Gail Lanier, helped me load my items. I didnt know who he was till I looked more closely at the website. Just amazing! Highly recommend!

When Im I Lexington I always go to Lanier Hardware. Its not just a hardware store, they carry so much more than your typical hardware store. I also enjoy supporting local business.

They sale just about anything you will ever need. Plus at the cash register you dont have to check yourself out. They offer sporting goods, r.c. cars, lawn equipment, woodstove type stuff, hardware and cook ware. Impressive people.

The store is a throwback to what hardware stores Ive been typically like in the past before the Big Box type Home Improvement centers started taking over. The employees are all very polite and helpful and try to go out of their way for the customers. One of the best things about going in there in there is the great variety that carry from Sporting Goods to toys to Home Improvement two tools paint everything you would expect in a small pound old fashioned hardware store. The Nostalgia and products they offer not to mention the smell fresh popcorn as you walk in the door makes a trip to Lanier Hardware always fun.

Literally the best hardware shop in Lexington and its surrounding citys. It has everything that a big corporate hardware store has and then some with the addition of a mom and pop shop atmosphere. It also has awesome toy sections for kids and a wide variety of model making kits for all level of enthusiasts. Ive been going there for 15 years after I found out they had name brand skateboards at amazing prices and now as an adult I go there for all my home improvement needs!

Great place! Worked there as a teenager back in 69. As they said then if we dont have it, we can get it for you! Best old fashioned hardware in the area. Best selection too! They installed a Buck woodstove for me 2 years ago & went above & beyond to do it right! That means everything to me these days. Go there---give them a try & decide for your self.

Laniers hardware is a great place to find most anything you need. They have good and friendly store workers. Good prices on many of the items for sale too.

Eh, great place to find what you need and avoid walmart. But there are a few employees who are downright unpleasant. The young ladies who work in the back are SUPER and consistently cordial. They are the only reason i gave 3 stars.

Best ace hardware I’ve ever been to. HUGE! Little pricey but customer service doesn’t come cheap these days. On some ares of the store it resembles a flea market but it maybe because of all the seasonal stuff and or the amount of product that they move. All in all I wish this were my local ace hardware back home in Florida.

“If Laniers don’t have it you don’t need it!” I must have heard that a million times growing up in Lexington and every time I walk in the door I remember just how true it is. They really do have everything. It may cost you a nickel more than it would have to get it online but you get to deal with real people in your community and see where your money is going and that’s invaluable to me. Shop local. Great place. I routinely drive past 4 other hardware stores to get here. I drive 25 miles to get here. They stock many oddball things that you would have to order online to get. Lamp parts, Fender amplifier rubber washers. Literally if you need strange parts to complete a project. Go to Lanier.

The best hardware store Ive seen in decades... If they dont have it in stock they order it on the spot! They have a huge selection from cookng and camping goods to chainsaw repair. 3 floors and a block wide, Laniers is one of the most comprehensive hardware stores Ive ever seen. .... I drive over 30 miles to get to them!

Im a local handyman and am starting to go to Laniers because they almost always have what I need for a job when the other big stores dont. Before I get 20 feet into the store, someone is asking me how can they help me. Then they walk me to it. Recently, I needed a unique item thats usually sold in auto parts stores and when we looked but couldnt find it, they found me in the store before I checked out and said they had it. Two employees were on a search for 5 minutes looking for it. I wish all stores where like Laniers!

If they dont have it, you dont need it. No kidding around here. Broke tour spray bottle? Why buy a whole new one when you can just buy the sprayer part? Theyve got that. Literally anything you need around the house whether it be cooking, cleaning, repairing, upgrading, whatever. So glad this place is so near me.

Good place to find what you need nuts and bolts, sporting goods, chainsaws, mowers, to wood stoves and gas logs for fireplaces. Friendly associates.

I like how much bigger this place is on the inside versus how it looks on the outside. Wide variety of stuff, not just hardware stuff, like an old school general store. Very helpful staff, too.
