Trey, Brandon, Clairmont—they’re all terrific! Pep Boys and these guys in particular continually go above and beyond with customer service and diagnostics. I have 14 year old and an 11 year old cars so balancing repairs costs against a new car payment is a constant challenge. They dig deep to find the issue, even when it’s intermittent. Excellent outgoing communication and easy to reach. No up selling and one time instead of using a product not designed for my car, they referred me elsewhere because they didn’t have access to the OEM item they said was best for that situation. Permanent customer!

Mecanics Great service writer Chris Great theres and older Gentleman Lynn reality he came out one time at 445 pm I arrived at 945 am and waited for an alignment till 435 pm it was the second time they didnt charge me but one time 69.95 shop price and as chaplain and board of the council chambers and associated pastor of the the first church since 1898 Lawrenceville I believe I deserve a little explanation put they came outside and said your all done. Theres another gentleman with tattoos a marine soldier well These white collar shirt boys could be a little faster but the fact that Lynn needs the retirement God help them pep boys will never be undersold nor bankruptcy but when your a people person customers come but they dont care they have vanguard USA contract from Enterprise which I worked for ten years. The contract should be revised all the way from vanguard tsa which is the from top I can advise them since its a town board member owned and operated pepboys is too slow but the fact that Enterprise is 1.2 billion strong they pay those guys to sit around Im retired so all I can do is powerly pray thats fact and strong

Went to Pep Boys for three new tires on 2/15/2020 We badly needed them. Upon entering the store, we were greeted with a warm smile and good morning by the store manager. He had extensive knowledge for the tires we needed and was extremely helpful with our needs. My only issue was the wait, but that was to be expected. What wasnt expected was finding out we had a low beam headlight out. Noble Ellis took care of that as well. I will definitely do business with this particular location as well. Noble Ellis and his staff know how to take care of the customers and they are truly committed to giving the best service. Excellent job.

Noble the store manager at this Pike location its phenomenal. I have come to this location several times and I had the pleasure of dealing with him and every single time he has been awesome to work with. I want to say thank you for always being honest and upfront with me and giving me all of my options and making me make the choice.I came in today for a simple serviced at the dealership wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for and it took him 10 minutes to fix the issue I am extremely happy with his service. The worse place to come to get serviced 😓 I’ve attempted with them for 4 different occasions, 3 were appointments and one was a walk-in @8am. Each time they claim that there are a series of cars in front of mines.I asked them why allow appointments to be made if you disregard them. No answer! I was told come first thing in the morning (8am). I just came first thing in the morning and still there are a series of cars in front of mines.I’m so done w/ PepBoys , maybe it’s this one location but I think the service is horrible.

My son went to pep boys to get 2 new tires do to a rough ride with his car. Due to lack of communication on my sons behalf he never informed the mechanic that he was having shaking issues so no one check his car out. Come to find out he was missing clamps to keep the engine still. But he still needed tires. Pep boys Manager explained everything to me introduce me to the mechanics that handled my car and even shared paper work. I really have to say. My experience turned out to be a great one and I’d recommend PEP BOYS to my friends. Thank you so much Noble and team for great teamwork

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had my car towed there because it wouldn’t start and they did work that was not authorized by me. Now for the last 2 days the manager Noble has left me nasty voicemail messages saying if I don’t pay the bill he is going to have me arrested. Stay away from these guys at all cost. They are a bunch of con artists. I have now involved my attorney.

They actually explain everything, explain the options and give great recommendations. Im always greeted when I come in! My experience with PepBoys was great!!! My car broke down on the interstate yesterday and was towed to their location. They ran a diagnostic on my car, located the issues and updated me with the estimated price for repair. Due to it being a holiday weekend, I left and went out of town and Eric kept me updated with the progress of the work being done on my vehicle. I was surprised to find out that the parts were ordered and the service was completed today, on a holiday. I have my car back and you could never tell that the alternator, belt...etc had gone out the day before. What began as a nightmare with my car breaking down, was quickly taken care of by the PepBoys staff. Thank you so much to Eric for being so calm and professional and explaining everything to me step by step. You guys definitely surpassed my expectations with your professionalism and great customer service.

I AM BLOWN AWAY BY NOBLE AND HIS TEAM!! Pep Boys in Lawrenceville on W Pile street is top notch and will take the. Eat care of you and your car! They made my very stressful/expensive situation a lot easier (and cheaper). I will forever go back to this location as well as any Pep Boys location in general. They are a one stop shop for all your vehicle needs! Their customer service is top notch, I trust their opinion and their services and both of those are hard to come by. This is the worst Pep boys location that I have ever visited. I would not recommend this store. I had a 12:30pm appointment. I waited for over 3.5 hours, for a simple service that required a oil change and a installation of two new tires, that I brought to the store.There were no restrooms that were accessible to the customers. I received no updates as to why the service was taking so long. I became so frustrated that I canceled the service and left the store.

Don’t waste your time ordering online because they will have actually no clue what you’re talking about. Tried to order a pickup today, got an email saying it was ready and a family friend went to go pick it up for me because I was stranded in Atlanta, they refused to give it to her and she had to buy a tire out of pocket. The guy also explaining things on the phone to me made absolutely no sense.

Ordered a tire online and even spoke with someone who seemed to be very helpful on the process for getting it installed. Tire never arrived and 5 days later no one called or emailed to update. When I called I was told they had no idea when or if the tire would arrive yet no one called to notify us of this fact or cancelled the order due to the inability to fulfill the order. They were very unapologetic and didn’t seem to even care that we were inconvenienced by this and had been down to one vehicle for all this time waiting for a tire that was never coming. We will take our business to a competitor and understand now the reason behind the terrible reviews of pep boys across the board.

I scheduled an 10:00 am appointment online to get HVAC service to my car. I printed the form signed it and followed every step according to the online express check in. I was told at the time of drop off that I would receive a call regarding the diagnostic of my vehicle. However, at 12:30 after leaving my car and arranging transportation during a pandemic. I received a call stating My HVAC service for my car could not be completed because they had no person on staff that was a certified HVAC mechanic. This is absolutely unacceptable because that statement should have been stated before I booked my appointment. I asked to the manager and Noble stated that You can book an appointment with the pope online. As if the popes online booking had anything to do with my HVAC service that was not completed. Noble showed the least amount of customer service that a manager should. I am highly disappointed and unsatisfied because it is July and still after making an appointment have no Air conditioning in my car.Sincerely,An Unsatisfied Customer

My car had a computer issue that was making the check engine light come on even after other places had fixed the issue multiple times and pep boys took the time to research and figure out the best way to fix it! Horrible service. My fathers truck needed a oil change as that he was visiting from out of town. I suggested we take it to this shop. It was a holiday weekend so we understood they were short staffed but they told us they could do the oil change.When he got there they told him dont want to change his oil. They then told us to go to another shop down the street (which was closed). Long story short my dad had to drive back home. As he drove home his check engine light came on, then his car died on the side of the road.He got it hauled to a REAL mechanic. They said the extra miles they put on his car to get back home caused it to die, and that if they would have changed his oil his car there is a chance he would have made it home with no issues.I called corporate over this and they told me they will look into the issue. it has been 2 months and no call back.I will never shop there again!

Had a warning light come on my car dashboard. William was awesome to deal with and took care of my issue completely. Since I am a rewards member he even gave me a discount that I was not expecting. Once my car was ready, I checked out with Mark who was also very nice. Great customer service guys!! I have just had such a positive experience with this location. My son took his truck here for a very costly repair. There was some miscommunication about exactly what the problem was. The truck started overheating again. When I called and talked to the manager, Noble Ellis, he could not have been nicer or more responsive. The truck was not only fixed at no additional charge to us, but it was towed to make sure it didn’t overheat.I was so impressed with how this problem was handled. I will now try to do more business with Pep Boys at this location because of how I was treated as a customer.

Very bad customer experience. Told me that because they have high customer traffic, they do not repair tires but they replace the whole when I only just have a small damage on my tire because they want to make more money! This store is a only about making more money and doesn’t think about what the customer really need! I guess my business is too small for you guys! And you won’t have my business then. The Pep Boys down the road is very professional compared to this one.Update:Got my tire repaired at another store for 10 bucks down the street! This store wanted me to replace my whole tire when my car is 3 month old with brand new tire with a small nail in it. I am a loyal pepboys customer, but all pep boys arent created equal. This Pepboys has set the standard pretty high! It is hard to find people who will talk and help you understand WHY your car is not doing what it should. Noble and the team were OUTSTANDING. Everyone I spoke to was welcoming and knowledgeable. They know what theyre doing!!! I unfortunately had to replace tires and struts and a whole heap of mess. But they helped me schedule the maintenance in increments so that I could actually enjoy Christmas. Definitely recommend!

Horrible experience I took my truck in yesterday @ 3:45pm to get my new tires mounted and balanced the sales rep at the counter told me I will have to leave the truck cause it will be a few hours so I handed him my keys he asked me if the tires were in the back of the truck bed and I told him yes and where I parked my truck. I leave he calls me back 2 and a half hours later asking me where my tires where? I get there supposely they never caught anything on camera and no one was aware someone stole my tires off my truck. Lack of professionalism from employees and security at this place Im super annoyed and disappointed. I have my work order and police report would love to speak to corporate about this!

The team got the car at 12:30. They were to call with a quote. But at 2:45, they had not called. My wife decided to be pro-active and had to call and essentially force them to pull it in to the shop. When she got off at 415, she still had not received a quote. Thats when they hit her with $450 price for single axle brakes and an oil change. Then she had to go wait another hour and half for them to finish. The only reasons they get three stars is the quality of work and parts combined with the managers correct judgement in lowering the cost to $380 and giving her a $40 rebate for her trouble. I would suggest taking a vehicle in the morning and plan on it taking all day.

TL;DR: Services were timely and on the more affordable end. TPMS light after servicing indicated a malfunction. Malfunction could have happened due to services rendered. Initially lied to that this malfunction couldnt happen by the services I got. Backtracked saying it could have happened from the services they performed. Still refused to accept any responsibility.Let me start off by saying that I was originally going to give this place a glowing, 5-star review; however, based on what happened after I was finished with the place, it definitely deserves a 1.I went in for an oil change initially. The store owner was there and he was very friendly, nice, and helpful. Pricing for full synthetic oil change was a little less than average, which was also appreciated. Speed of service was appropriate for oil change and tire rotation. Everything seemed to be fine when I left and I was pretty happy with everything.However, as I was driving home, my TPMS light went off. Not the low pressure light mind you, the kind that indicates a sensor malfunction. I brought the car back the following day to be evaluated and they told me that one of my sensors was no longer functioning properly. I expressed to them that this sensor began to malfunction shortly after I left the shop the prior day. The store owner wasnt there this time and first, they said it must be that the sensor battery is low and that nothing they did could have caused the light to trigger. A quick google search for TPMS damage tire rotation suggests otherwise and I told them this. They then backtracked and said a low battery that is shifted during a tire rotation could cause the TPMS light to show a malfunction. So basically, I was straight up lied to at first by saying it couldnt have happened by anything they could have done. And of course, even though this happened right after I had the car serviced at this location for a service that could have caused my TPMS light to go off, they refused to accept any responsibility.As such, I recommend taking your business elsewhere to a location that will own up to issues that they may have caused during a servicing as opposed to first lying to you, and then still refusing to accept any possible responsibility.

These guys were the helpful mechanics i have ever encountered. I was in a really bad Jam with my car and even tho they were not being paid they helped me and walked me through ever step of the process of what i needed to do to get everything tip top shape with my car.!! Before i got there i was about to have a panic attack but after leaving there i felt peace and that it was going to be ok. They made me comfortable to ask questions no matter how silly that might have seemed. And everything they told me was exactly what the problems were and same with how to fix them!!! Extremely poor customer service. Just down right rude. I went up there to get my battery exchanged. They said they couldn’t take my battery out because the other people had already left. 4 bolts. They gave me the tools to take my battery out and when I went to walk back in to talk to him, they had locked the doors. I ended up not getting a battery at all and was very unhappy with my experience. Also the guy Earl there was the rude one and talked to me condescendingly.

GREAT SERVICE, NEW MANAGEMENT. Okay, If you appreciate good service, I HIGHLY recommend (LAWRENCEVILLE) Pep Boys... here’s my story. I had an oil change done about 2 weeks ago at a different shop(Goodyear). About a week after doing so, I found out they had installed the INCORRECT oil filter!! Which caused ALL of my engine oil to drain upon ignition. Pep Boys identified the problem in less than 30 min!! They explained what errors the previous shop had commited, and fixed them with fast and professional service. THEY’RE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Please ask for BRANDON. HE KNOWS WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT. Going back there for new COOPER tired soon!

Horrible service. I scheduled an appointment for my 4 tires replacement and was confirmed at specific time at 3PM another day (not same day, so they had ahead of time). When I came, they said the tires had not been received yet. I asked why they did not let me know because I had to drive 30’ to the store and 30’ back. They said sorry! The day after they called me and said tires were available, so I could come. I came and was confirmed I had to wait for 2h30’. After 2h30’, they said they had not started with my car yet and it must be done before they closed. If they opened till end of the next day, I probably had to wait there for 24 more hours???!!! I wanted to cancel the service, at the first time I came, but my wife told me just come back. I wish I did not listen to her.

Was traveling and had major car trouble! Stopped at pep boys as soon as they opened and without any questions they started working on the truck! Susan and James were very clear with us on what the problem was and options to fix it then worked fast to get the parts in! We were traveling with my dog (large dog) and James was very welcoming to her which meant a lot! I brought my car in thinking it had a nail in the tire as my LTP light was coming on.. I went across the street for a few minutes and when I returned they had already determined it was actually the valve stem and replaced it. Its been a few days and no more LTP light so these guys really came through for me (I didnt even have to take a longer lunch break than on a normal day)!

Today was the first time I’d ever been to a pep boys I arrived around mid to late 12pm. I went in to get the lugnuts changed on my car because each tire had a locked lug. I was quoted $15 by Brandon to change the lugs and replace them and was told they could start immediately and it would only be 30 minutes. Well I ended up waiting for 1hr and 30 mins, and got a bill for $58.00 + $2.00/ ea lugnuts. So from the beginning I was apprehensive, but I really needed it done. Like I said I’ve never been here so to Waite an hr for lugnuts and then to see the mechanic Mr. Claremont messing with stuff in my engine was concerning. When I approached him and simply asked what was he doing under the hood of the car ( because I only asked for the lugs to be changed NOT anything under the hood) he responded with “ I’m doing my job, when I asked specially what he responded with an attitude again. If I’m a paying customer and it’s MY CAR I will ask questions concerning it . At the end I told Brandon to let Mr. Claremont know he needs to shut the hood of my car and give me my keys. It was a bad first experience and I will not be back. Also please let customers know the policy with testing the battery and fluids beforehand so there is no confusion.

Took my car for an alignment took about 4 hours and still could not align it payed them 80$. I ended taking my car to another shop charged me 60$ and one hour later had my car perfectly aligned. This pepboys was a let down.

I came in for a wheel alignment was informed it would be 59.99 so I said cool. I let the service manager I drive 200 miles per day at minimum. I had gotten a coupon from retailmenot it was at that time I was informed I was getting a 3 month alignment I had never heard such bs. pissed because I need at least one yr in addition to that my car is still pulling towards the left. I will never go here nor suggest anyone to go there. sorry pep boys you dont get $60 every 3 months from me

Bought a gas cap here recently. Attendant spent a considerable amount of time on the phone but once she got off, she was very helpful.She was courteous, knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed.

There service is usually good but please make an appointment! Yesterday I was told that I would have to wait for an hour to get a tire rotation. I asked if I could get a tire rotation in the morning no wait, the answer was yes. I asked if i needed an appointment, no. Get their early this morning, only one technician working on something else, no tire rotation this morning!

Went around 12ish, bought tires and needed them put on our vehicle. They said they would call when it was finished. So we left & went home. About 5:40, we still hadnt heard anything and drove up before they were closing only to see our truck on the rack and not one tire on it!!! We went in, so of course, now it has to get done but, its quite infuriating since he needs his truck to go to work in the morning. What does that say to perspective consumers??

This location needs a makeover and or cleaning. Gone are the days of sitting in a dirty dusty auto shop. The customer waiting area is super dusty and dirty its no ventilation or air flow in that closed in space. The TV was old dusty and didnt have good reception it was switching channels without anyone touching it. It was a coffee maker but it was to dirty to even think about drinking anything back there. I have been to other pep boys in other states and GA and this one by far is the worst on appearance. I had something minor done to my car so I dont have complains or praises about the work. Oil changes completed there with a different crew and they seem to be okay. Buford is much better.

They have great customer service. However, the wait is very long. There really is no point in setting an appointment, because I set an appointment at 3 oclock for an oil change and its been 45min and they still havent taken my car back. A lot of the car maintenance crew are just walking around talking.

It doesnt seem they have any idea whats going on there. Took my car for brakes and they got the wrong parts over and over and even when they got the right parts the technician argued with the service writer and the service manager that it wasnt right. He measured just to find out it was right he just wasnt putting it on the right side! They have customers keys just laying out on the front desk for anyone to take. As long as they have been around you would think they would have there stuff together, nope!

The guys at this location are all really nice people.However, I have given these guys the benefit of the doubt and took my car there to get the alignment straight 3 times and still they couldnt get the steering wheel centered...Will not use this location in the future again and probably PEP BOYS company in general.
