My husband and I come down the Vegas to visit family a few times a year. When we were down for the 4th of July, my sister recommended we check out Record City. Joey greeted us as soon as we stepped in! He was thoughtful enough to ask who we were in relation to my sister. He referred to us as “The Siblings,” which we all had a good laugh at. He asked about our music interests, our experience with vinyl, etc. He spoke to us about every genre and recommended many good artists. Since the store offers such a wide variety of music, it was awesome to have Joey’s take. He gave us a complimentary tote bag, which was a nice surprise! My husband even asked for his expertise on record players, needles, weights, etc. I can’t recommend a better store and Joey is what makes it better than anywhere else.

We love this place. It brings vinyl shopping back to a time of my youth. They are constantly getting in new albums and have plenty of classics.

This business literally stole me away from Zia records. It’s such a sweet shop and the store manager Joey is the kindest person ever with great humor and great conversation throughout your shop! He’s so knowledgeable on music too so any questions and he’s there to help. I found so many great finds today and can’t wait to go back next weekend thank you record city!!

Tons of old cds at low prices. Lots of used DVDs and tons of vinyl records both new and used. They guy who runs the place has all sorts of great stories he loves to tell. Its worth the trip to check this place out.

Oldest record store in Vegas and has a wonderful owner keeping it going. This store has a wonderful selection of reasonably priced records and amazing gems. BEST RECORD STORE IN VEGAS.

Got my first record player, All I wanted was the Hybrid theory Vinyl and ended up walking out with that plus a variety of records. Da brat, daddy yankee and a few dope looking house music records I never heard of and ended up liking alot. The owner Joey is really cool too, super friendly dude. He knew all of his customers that walked in, ive never seen a buisness run like that in vegas. 🤙😎🤙

This is a place to go if you love music and want to lose yourself in a nostalgic rock and roll dreamworld. The front door is a portal back to the time when you visited the record store weekly and endlessly browsed through the bins of LPs. Joey is very knowledgeable, amiable and helpful to his customers. If youre looking for a record you have been wanting to hear for years, Record City is an excellent place to start. They also pay fair prices for used records, if thats what youre looking for. A totally cool store, period.

Fantastic experience. Joey was incredibly friendly and conversational. I went there with my Dad and us and a bunch of others cats in the shop just chatted for a couple hours while I shopped and listened to records. We talked, music, politics, history, and all options were welcome. It was almost like an old school barber shop than a record store. Great inventory too. I probably spent $200 there. Im from out of town but will definitely visit again.

The song,Ive got the music in mecomes into my head when I think of Record City. When the opportunity arises to step into one of their stores, I suggest you grab it. You can get a grip load of music for just a few dollars. When leaving Record City, the song, dance, dance, dance comes into my head. Definitely a real GROOVY place.

Record City is always a great place to shop. Joey is the owner and is extremely friendly and he enjoys talking with his customers about anything and everything. It has now become tradition to stop by and say hello now that I have a son at UNLV. I bought 3 vinyl albums and 7 CDs and paid under $50. Quality stuff at competitive prices. Thank you Joey!

If youre looking for collectibleLP S, vinyl, a large selection of CDs. They also have DVDs and also VHS for some, if youre still that way but, very large selection. Very customer-related they will help you out and do what they can to serve you and if you cant find it there, they can also order things for you the online. Been there for more than 35 yrs.

It was my first time ever going into that store. I heard about it through other people and pass it everyday on the way to and from work. Decided to stop in to check it out. Joey whom works there was very pleasant and helpful. I ended up spending almost 2 hours and came out of there with tons of music. They have EVERYTHING. Best place in town. Everyone who reads this needs to know that and check it out and meet Joey. you wont be unsatisfied. Definitely will be back for more goodies. :-)

Since My 30 years of going to this Record City location, I have always experienced Professional & Courteous service from Joey! If there is an item Im looking for that might not be @ that store,He will call the other store to see if they have it! The store is well maintained and the prices are VERY REASONABLE!

Great selection of Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Jazz and Rock. I picked up some choice titles from the above genres. The store clerk was super friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I visit Las Vegas at least once a year and we always make it a point to explore the various record shops scattered throughout the city. By far, Record City is our hands-down favorite. In November of last year, as we walked through the door, we got a great greeting from Joey and an offer to assist us should we need it. 3 1/2 hours later, with a 12 stack of vinyl, a lengthy philosophical conversation about art and the Almighty (joined in by every customer who came in), my wife and I realized we simply had to get some food (and leave some vinyl for other collectors)!Its one of our fondest memories of Las Vegas and of the folks who live and work there. Plus, I found a ton of Hawkwind and Jeff Beck! (Im old school). Great prices too! We are really looking forward to our next visit this November, 2018

I have bought a lot of Vinyl here in the last year or so. The prices are good and Joey is the greatest example of what Customer Service should be. Amazing place.

There is such a large variety of DVDs LPS vinyl and old and newer records and the staff is very helpful the prices are absolutely great. It is a great place to look for all types of vinyl and collectible items.

Joey is the usual steward of this shop and he has an encyclopedic memory and a knack for finding just the right thing for almost anybody. This isnt a hipster store - this a store for collectors and casual purchasers. Sure, they have new releases by great indie bands, but you wont find a plethora of beards, rolled up jeans, or sidewall haircuts here. This place is honest to goodness music fun. Plus, theres bins and bins of $1 bargains to be crate-dug along with the usual higher priced/better quality fare. Theres something for everyone here and Joey will even engage a great game of name that tune to find just what you need. So, if you are used to being ignored at Zia or hounded at 11th street by novices with no clue as to what you like, hit up Record City. They have two locations, but for my money the one of Charleston is less picked over and offers the best atmosphere.

From the not so old releases to truly hard to find gems.Vintage rock, jazz, soul, this place has it all.Now if you are the type that expects to walk into an uber clean store you can forget it. Its a vintage store from a worn wooden floor to a bicycle that belongs to the owner. However it is clean and extremely well maintained. $20 will get you some true treasures for as I said, the prices are wonderfully affordable. For the hard core vinyl collector, this is your one stop shop. For the couple who loves scavenger hunts...you can hunt here to your hearts content and youll leave Record City with a big ol smile on your faces. From DVDs to CDs to Cassettes, yes Ive seen a few as well as a few 8 Tracks! Record City looks like the place where intellectuals would hang out and in fact the store manager, Joey is such a person. He is a walking database of music info and his warm demeanor and his smile makes you feel so welcome that you cant help but return with a few friends. Let me put it this way, if the politicians had his honesty and his demeanor the country wouldnt be such a bad place to call home. Joey is a people person. Go meet him. Explore his store. Go find that treasure that youve been seeking but could never find.I actually found such a piece and my mind instantly traveled back to that time of my life. It was wonderful. Now I will suggest that you take your own purchase bag for vinyl covers do cut through plastic and do routinely tear.So boogie on down to Record City on Charleston.
