Great service. Great price. Great people. I couldnt asked for better! My jetta lost power steering after a critter chewed up some wiring. I was able to have it towed to MF, get it repaired, pay over the phone and pick up the vehicle that evening. I highly recommended this shop for all VW needs! They are top notch!

These guys are right on top of everything. They were quick and very helpful when they noticed a coolant leakage. Wes took me through everything to look for and told me to call if/when there are further issues. Also gave me an estimate for future repair (water pump) so I can plan. A great help!

Ive dealt with MF Auto quite a bit and all my experience has been top notch. Now they are quite a busy operation so you be aware of that and have some patience. Theyve struggled to call me back at times, however I again understood that they are busy and they were always available when I would call. One of the cars they got running for me was a VERY problematic CISe fuel system drive 1989 MK2 Jetta. It took forever because it was a project car and needed some special attention. Well what do you know, the 1.8 16v was incredible after it was all done. It was so much fun to drive, however I gave up on the car and sold it to buy another car which I bought from MF Auto. I will even say that I bet they stayed after when their shift was over to work on my mk2 Jetta.Now I recently bought a car from them to replace my mk2 Jetta. I purchased a VW Passat Wagon which I absolutely love. They have not only replaced a good 2000 dollars worth of parts before they sold it to me (maintenance), they offered a warranty, and have been making sure that everything is right on the car. There was an issue with my headlight wiring and they purchased two new headlight harnesses for me and put them in for me. There was also an issue with the axle that was put in before they sold it to me. The axle turned out to be bad from the factory and they immediately bought me a new one and installed it also.Now, car repairs are expensive and Id say MF Auto at times can be expensive just like any other ASE certified mechanical shop / Auto sales shop / Parts dealer and REVO software etc dealers. However, with MF Auto you get whats called ENTHUSIASTS. People who care about nice VW, Audi, and Porsches as well as vehicles in general. Am I biased? Yes I am very biased towards people who know what they are doing and do good work.Matt Ford has tons of knowledge and hires good people. He might own the place but Ive seen him multiple times wrenching on the cars.Awesome people. Weve bought 3 cars from them in the last 5 years.

Our 2013 VW Touareg TDI Developed a terrible oil leak. We were scared to death that it could be an oil pan gasket or even worse a main seal leak. Wes was optimistic from the start and said that the TDI diesel is very reliable and usually does not have oil leaks. We brought it in and within several hours Wes called... it was a drain plug gasket that was over tightened from a previous oil change at an oil change shop. Its only supposed to be 22 ft lbs. They probably cranked it down and flattened the gasket. The MF team cleaned all the oil from the lower engine block, confirmed the drain plug threading was clean and not damages, installed a new plug gasket and its now fixed. THANK GOD! This could have been an easy scam from any shady shop and WES was HONEST and PROFESSIONAL. So glad we finally found MF AUTO... Will use them for now on. Period.

These guys went the extra mile for me. I was not the easiest customer, yet they made me exceptionally happy. Amazing knowledge, stellar customer service and detailed work on my 15 Golf TDI. I settled on MF after calling in and discussing what I wanted, and their staff has been extremely patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of my budget. I drove from Murfreesboro (3.5 hours) to see them and couldnt be happier. MF Auto is the only shop I trust to touch my TDi vehicles. Making a reservation is great. The maintenance they do for my current TDi Passat is quick and gone correctly. I have never had any issues on repairs. I highly recommend MF Auto for automotive repairs and maintenance..

As much as I wanted to give a 5 star rating I simply was unable to do so. I had MF replace the engine in my A4 with one they sold to me. As soon as I got the car back, it was smoking from the block - I brought it to them and they informed me that the engine needed the seals replaced on the cam shaft and that until that was fixed it would continue to leak oil and that oil would drip onto the manifold and smoke like crazy! This fix would cost at least $1500! When I asked why they would sell me an engine that needed so much additional work, without letting me know it needed said work, I got no answer other than to say theyd give me a 10% discount on the additional work. The staff are really nice and the place is cool, but unfortunately, I am not convinced that I didnt get totally screwed on the deal!

Hard to find a wrench you can trust, these guys earn it hands down.

We purchased a used Volkswagen from these guys and we had the most wonderful experience. We came on a Saturday when the service department was closed and since we had traveled from Asheville we really wanted to take the car home the same day even though it had issues that needed fixing. They said we could bring the car back another time after purchasing it. I was worried because there are so many shady car dealers out there but they stuck true to their word and completed everything that was promised weeks after our car purchase. We were very impressed and would highly recommend them. We got a great price on our car and they obviously make honesty and integrity a high priority in their business. Highly recommend.

I only found out about MF Auto this week when a friend recommended them, but when I scheduled a service, it was obvious they were familiar with my car (2004 Audi TT) which is more than I can say for most other shops. When I went to pick it back up, I got a thorough explanation of the problems they found with the car, and what I needed to have done. The bill was also slightly less than the estimate I had gotten over the phone, which is always nice. This is why I give them 5 stars.

One of the things that I think makes M F Auto especially great is their commitment to helping you triage problems with your vehicle and prioritize repairs (rather than insisting that everything amiss needs to be replaced immediately). I have a 2006 Volvo that Im quite attached to, and its always a toss-up as to whether its worth pouring more money into a 14-year-old car with ~180K miles. The gentlemen at MF Auto have helped me keep it running within my budget. Such a relief to find someone so skilled and trustworthy to work on Volvos!

The team at MF has always taken good care of my 86 Vanagon. I just took it in last week because the power steering had gone out. I was preparing myself for the worst. Since buying a VW a few years ago and now an owner of an Audi, MF is really the only place that I feel has a real love and deep knowledge of these cars. I also know they arent going to tell me false information about what repair my car needs, just to make an extra buck. They are car enthusiasts themselves and they give you the advice as if it were their own. Knoxville is lucky to have a place like this!

Very unprofessional, called multiple time asking about a distributor i was looking for and finally spoke with the parts manager and was told they would look and call me back asap and that my number was at the top of his list to call. well that was a week ago still no callback. if they say they sell parts and do repairs they should do both not just repairs. I was going to send the car to them to be repaired if i could not get it to run myself but now I believe I will look for another vw shop .

This was my first service completed at MF Auto. They were quick to get my car in and complete the repair. Just purchased an RS4 from them and couldnt be happier. Being that I purchased the car before seeing it since I live in another state, Matt disclosed everything and the car was exactly what I expected. Matt also picked me up from the airport, walked me around the car, and answered all my question. Car had no mechanical issues and made it through my 500 mile drive home without an issue. One of the best car buying experiences I have ever had and I have had many.

Thought I was buying a good car but turns out to be a money pit. Was told it had one owner and never had been wrecked. Since then I have put nearly $5,000 into it. Had to take it to the service department multiple times within the first couple months after I purchased it. At this point, I feel like I have had to replace the whole car. BEWARE... DO NOT GO HERE.

Much cheaper than the dealership and just as high, if not higher, quality of work. I was quoted $1000+ for a service from the dealer and ended up paying almost half that at MF Auto. They were done with my car exactly when they told me and the service was excellent. The only problem I had was convincing Wes that pepperonis are great on spaghetti.

This is a very bad garage. Their charge are very expensive. Service attitude is also very bad. When the customer asks for a price reduction . They immediately charge Parlking for $40 a day or they would auction my car . Use a fake smile when you pay . When you find that they are damaging the instrument inside the car. They are totally irresponsible . And one customers to add money immediately . A tire is locked and repairs cost $1150 . And like them selves hospital charges . If someone is going to repair the car here I advise you to go to the original factory . He’s just a former VW worker

I called in this morning to get my clutch fixed. A piece broke last night and my sisters wedding is this weekend 3 hours away. I talked to two, very polite, gentlemen, Mike and Wes. They took me in immediately, fixed my car at a reasonable price and even made me coffee while I waited. Super friendly, super nice and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend anyone with a German made car to come here. Ive been screwed over by multiple mechanics but Im very happy I called these guys.Also, I have never EVER written a good or bad review EVER. Hopefully that gives you an idea of how great these guys are.

My wife and I were on vacation in the Smokies when the A/C stopped working on my v10 Tourareg. I saw the very positive reviews for MF Automotive and took my vehicle there. They were wonderful - everything and more that others say. They could have ripped me off. I wasnt local and was desperate to get it repaired (we were pulling an RV and it was 94 degrees!). They were up front and honest about what my vehicle needed, and what could wait. And they didnt try to up-sell me anything. They are a tad expensive, however I can stomach paying a little more for quality work from an honest mechanics shop which is exactly what I think I was getting at MF Auto. I will be a return customer for sure!

My first experience with them was great. I had taken my car to Volkswagen for a recall and sputtering issue. Volkswagen fixed the crankshaft sensor, did an oil change, and of course the recalls. Drove my car 280 miles and noticed oil pooring from the bottom. Thinking it was probably the oil plug we returned to Volkswagen and they took us back to show us the rear main seal was leaking. We were livid because they also took pictures of the dip stick showing 3 courts over and “that would not make the seal blow,” so they wouldn’t repair it. Saved the money up and dropped at mf. They called to inform us that it really wasn’t the rear main seal and it was the oil coolant seals to the transmission. Much much cheaper job and the transmission didn’t have to be dropped for this repair. They could’ve got one over on us because we were shown that it was the rear main seal. Because oil was leaking down on the seal so it looked like it was the seal. They were awesome at MF and I will only be taking my Passat, and Audi to MF Auto from here on out. I highly recommend this place, there service was outstanding.

Timing belt service on my 2012 Jetta was affordable and they even provided a loaner vehicle at no extra charge while mine was being fixed. The Guys at MF took great care of me and my car. When another repair shop could not definitively diagnose the isssue I had it towed to MF. With in a few hours they had it diagnosed and the parts ordered. Their prices are fair and service is top notch. They obviously care about their reputation and their customers are valued. They wwill be the only ones to touch my car from now on.

MF has serviced my VWs and Audi since around 1998. They have done it all for me, and never steered me wrong. The advice is spot on, even if they dont do the work. If my wife or daughter are ever out of town with a car problem, I hope they are lucky enough to find Matts long lost brother driving the wrecker.

Sold me a car stating it would only need tires brakes and fluids. Ended up needing all of those things as well as a clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch master slave cylinder, catalytic converter, oil filter housing, rear main seal, has three major leaks from valve covers, bad front axle and destroyed PCV ducting. Completely dishonest. My suggestion to everyone is run. Some people it might work out for but do you really want to roll the dice like I did and lose!? Dont make the same mistake I did.

Took my car in for an alignment and a strange noise that my car was occasionally making. Everyone was super nice while checking in and going over everything that they would be doing while I was there. The waiting area was very comfortable and clean unlike most shops you take your car to. Thru out the process they left me know where they were with everything and once everything was complete they went over everything with me in detail and had no issues answering questions that I had about what they had found. Upon checking out I had asked for a price on an oil change for future maintenance and they gave me a quote with itemized breakdown of everything for that. Never once did I feel like they were taking advantage of the fact that I was a female just to make more money off me as other shops have and will do! My husband has also called a few times to ask questions about things with the car and they have gone above and beyond to answer questions and don’t bs things when you ask. We will definitely be taking our VW here from here on out!!!
