Greeted by friendly gentleman. He called me back within 15 minutes to let me know how long it would take for my estimate.I had a list a mile long that I needed done & I knew it wasnt going to be cheap. I calculated an estimate of my own & when they sent me their estimate to approve, my estimate & the actual quote the shop gave me were within $50 of each other!! He gave me an approximate day he would be done & they were done a couple of days early finishing all the work & it ended being a little bit less $$ than the written estimate! They know their business, are respectful & courteous throughout & keep you informed.Another thing that blew my mind is that they warranty their work: I think 100% the 1st year & then prorated years 2-3!! Who does that!!They exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process!! Thanks Eric & all the guys there!

The blower for A/C was not working.They found problem for me. ran in to problem. parts house sent wrong part. I have only 1 car so had 2 trips to shop. each time everyone was professional and helpful. shop waiting room is clean enen cold water. tech D Munssey did a great job on hard to work on problem. If need more help will return recommend them to all

Just started using this garage and am very pleased so far. Fixed my breaks at a reasonable cost and just took my truck in for an estimate. Friendly and courteous folks.

Mounted and balanced a new set of tires I had purchased online. The price was very good. The work was done well. And car drives great. Took a bit longer than expected but no complaints. Will use them for future repairs.

We went to this shop because of proximity. They charged and did things I did not ask for (totalling about 1k). They charged a diagnostic fee for what I told them was wrong (I needed a bolt changed). They fixed things that were not broken (and without confirmation before doing it). They changed brake fluid (which I did not ask for). They did not use the parts I provided (then charged me for another set of parts). DO NOT go here unless you have extra money laying around that you feel like burning. I feel extreamly taken advantage of. The work was adequate, but only adequate. I would not recommend this shop unless totally desperate and rich.

Couldnt find (ANYONE) to tell me what was wrong with my car..Everyone said somthing diffrent..So i made an appointment with FOUNTAIN CITY AUTO CLINIC.. within 2 hours they called me back and let me know what the problem was...and within 24 hrs had me back on the road..I want to say i appreciate you guys for the professional treatment..and will for now on use your services...Also i appreciate the discount that was given to me when i informed that i didnt have enough money to pay...I was given $100 off out of courtesy ....Thank you guys and i have been letting everyone know what a good job you did for me...

They removed super caroded battery and put in a new one I brought in with me. Fast and reasonable

I just love these guys. My car needed repair and it was under warranty. The insurance company wasnt very responsive. Eric was very efficient, making several calls to the company. They finally gave approval and my van was repaired the next day. Many thanks to all those mechanics who kicked in and took care of my vehicle. Fountain City Auto Clinic use to be a trusted name in the community that my family and friends had used for generations. I am sad to say the same is no longer true. I am saddened to hear the passing of the former owner and I feel much of the decline maybe due to the new management. Roughly a month ago I took my Ford Expedition in to have work performed on the A/C that was now longer blowing cold air. They were quick to fix the issue performing a leak test and replacing the schrader valves on the A/C lines and refilling the Freon. Problem solved, nice cool air! Performance decreased as weeks passed, and this past weekend I noticed the A/C was now blowing warm air again. Classic signs of another leak I thought to myself. So my wife contacted Fountain City Auto Clinic via their Facebook page, and asked if and what was covered, to which they replied it’s covered and when would we like to bring the truck in. So we dropped off the truck this morning, and few hours later we received a quote showing an estimate in excess of over $800. This included another diagnostic fee, which after speaking with them they did remove, but we were basically told the truck was blowing cold air when it left there shop , so this is a new issue. Mind you, I had previously paid over $800 on the first visit , including a diagnostic and leak test. This is a classic case of just throwing parts at the easiest fix, and getting the customer out of the door instead of diagnosing the actual issues. FAC was never ran this way, and I will no longer being using or suggesting them to friends or family. Sad to see the changes to a once trusted shop.

I have been using this place for over 10 years and they have always done an excellent job. Jeff is very helpful and honest about the repairs and cost. The guys working there do a great job. Jeff was so great working with the body shop and my insurance company to get my car fixed. At times I have used other garages -- but not anymore! This is the only place I will be taking my car for repairs.

Before towing my car there, I called and confirmed they had the time to fix my car. Over a day and a half later found out my car wasnt even looked at, then refused to replace a simple part. I towed the car home, ordered the part and fixed it myself. I wouldnt advise putting any faith in this place.

These people will do anything for their customers. I was stranded in the middle of my drive and my nearest contact was 3.5 hours away. They found the fastest and most affordable fix for my car. Unfortunately, it was already afternoon so they couldnt do it day of, but they helped me find a place to stay for the night and took care of it as fast as they could. Good people that are looking out for you.

Fair pricing and trustworthy people. They do good work. I trust them when I will not trust anyone else. The manager, Jeff, is a fair and honest guy. They stand behind their work.

Miss talking with Jerry, have used them for about 20 years, always good service and price....They even work on older cars like my 1972 Camaro which is hard to find now.

I’ve taken all my vehicles here for a number of years for various things and have always had great service at a fair price. It was terrible to hear that Jerry had passed as he was easy going and always had something interesting to chat about while we waited. He will be missed. I wondered how his shop would operate moving forward, and as time has gone by, I’ve continued to get the same fast, quality service at a fair price. They’re doing it right down there carrying on the family legacy. I highly recommend this company and it’s staff.

Misdiagnosed the problem with my car. Replaced a part that may or may not have helped anything. At any rate, the problem persisted and wound up leaving me stranded a few days later. Had it towed to the Firestone in Fountain City and they diagnosed a problem with the fuel pump and put in a new one. Car appears to be back to normal now.

5 stars isn’t enough!!! I was traveling out of state with our family when our truck wouldn’t start. We were stranded with a travel trailer and didn’t have a clue what to do. Upon calling Fountain City Auto Clinic, the employees stepped in right away to help out. Not only were they knowledgeable but went over and above to make sure we were safe. We cannot thank them enough for their help!

Was quoted one price over the phone, told another several hundred over the original quote in person, all without looking at the vehicle. Shady business that doesnt know what parts are needed and quotes the wrong parts for the vehicle.

Best Prices. Great service. They told me it would be about a week to get my truck done. I told them it was a work truck. They told me theyd have it done the next day. They were about 20-25% cheaper than any other shop I spoke with and came highly recommended from Warren, an employee at Auto Zone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Unfortunately I had to take my car here but it was not from anything this shop did. They are honest, friendly and truly seem to appreciate and value their customers. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Had to have the same part fixed 3 times. Twice by them which they told me the warranty expired after less than a year. They also fixed my clutch 5 months ago and now having the same damn issue. Im over it. On top of all that they did not properly reinstall my dash cover and fuel switch. Just glued it all together.

These are honest people who look for a good deal. Highly recommend this place. Since Ive found it, its the only place I take my car!

Took my Jeep here on 9/15/17. I thought my fuel pump went out when it wouldnt start, had it towed to them, $65 for the tow. They said could have it back that evening, but the tow truck had a problem pushing the repair to Monday.I call them Monday near closing to check on the progress. They say its not the fuel pump because the line pressure was good, think its the distributor instead, $189 out the door. I say ok, when can I pick it up, they say Tuesday by 10 am.I call the next day around 12-1 pm, figure give them a few extra hours for potential issues. (Notice, they didnt call me other than when giving a price quote, I had to call every time to check the status of the repair.) They say they swapped out the distributor, but now its running weak pulling up hills and backfiring. I say its never done that before, ask if possible bad part? He reassures me its a new part and thats unlikely.I call again the next day, still not fixed but more costs because they replaced my spark plugs because they were fouled out while trying to start the Jeep, now $250 out the door. I tell them to stop experimenting on my car and I would just come pick it up.Took me a little to get the extra money since I was quoted $189 and it jumped to $250. This whole time I was having to pay for cabs to and from school, $30 * 3 days a week minimum * 3 weeks.I go to pick up the car, some of our belongings that were in the Jeep were laying next to the Jeep on the ground. When confronted with this, the lady in the office says I just checked it 15 minutes ago and it was locked, the guy replies well anybody can jimmy a door. So which was it exactly? Either one or both were lying. I say forget that, they have signs up to allow anyone to steal from customer vehicles, and proceed to chew them out.Eventually, I ask about my car. By now I had asked around and nearly everyone said the timing was off. I ask about checking the time, the guy refuses, says they did that already and would not be doing it again. I warned that if it was the timing, I would be making this post.Guess what? I call a mobile mechanic, 5 minutes and another $80 later (he asked for $50, but we tipped $30), the Jeep is back in time and running smooth as it was before.So, basically, between the tow, the cabs, and their scam job I paid $7-800 for them to not do their job. Those were some expensive plugs and distributor. Thanks for nothing, you will not be getting business from me nor mine again.

The trust we had in their service is gone! We were charged for services that were not performed. Jerry, the previous owner who sadly passed away, would never have allowed this. Very disappointed.

I would not use their services again. This is not to say they dont do quality work. My experience was I took my Toyoto Camry in and they diagnosed I needed a valve job that would be around $1000. It was 1337.00 and no, they did not replace timing belt The one valve that was replaced was $10.22 and $120.00 for grinding the others. It would have been nice if the owner had ask if I wanted all new valves for $30 more

Gave me an unauthorized and unnecessary oil change when I took my Buick Le sabre in to have the starter replaced. Then I realized a day later the didnt replace my plastic engine cover after working on it. Would not recommend this place.

Manager charged me $200 for a part that is $65-75 all day long at any of the three auto part stores near the repair shop. This place is not what it used to be since the former owner died. Took advantage of my nearly blind husband waiting for the car, because he could not read the invoice and that they were ripping us off.

This place has been there forever and all the old Fountain City residents take their cars there, though I think this place is long past its better days. I had to return my car twice and its still not right. I went there because my fuel pump went out and I needed it replaced. Pretty simple operation. It took a couple days and they called and said it was done. When we picked it up I noticed that the fuel gauge wasnt working. This said to me that they hadnt even bothered to check before calling me. So it had to go back and get fixed again. Then after I get it back the second time I noticed my hood is now held down with bungee cords. They broke the latch. Back to the garage. They fixed the latch but now it doesnt work and the bungee cords are still there. SLOPPY HALF-ASSED WORK.

The vehical still has the same problem 800+ dollars later.. this has dragged on for over a year have been doing business with them for 15 years. But sence Jerry has passed .. Never again.. Its not the same business it was without him. Customers satisfaction no more .. warranties were lostSo here I go I have to start all over.
