Phibbs auto takes great care if cars and does the job right. Ive never had a negative experience and they are genuinely there to help you. They have reasonable prices and I wont take my car anywhere else. I drive semi trucks and if they were diesel mechanics then Id trust them with my truck as well. Definitely take your car here.

Highly recommend this business. Worked with/spoke to Kenny for my repair. He was very tentative and is willing educate you on the cause and solution for problems. Phibbs replaced the fuel pump on my 2003 Ford Expedition and was able to complete the job quickly and for a fair price. Vehicle runs brand new now. This will be my go to shop from now on.

As always, Shaun and the Phibbs team were excellent. Fast friendly service and most of all they offer good advice. When bringing in an older vehicle with lots of miles, they are concerned enough to be sure you want to spend money on an old car instead of just looking for an opportunity to make more money. I trust them and that says a lot about an auto maintenance shop!

Only honest mechanic shop I know of. My father took my car to a different place, we paid $2000 . It stalled on me just driving around the block. Im having to take it in to phibbs, which is ALWAYS honest and good. Im going to ask them if the other mechanic down the street even looked at my car.

I have been bringing all of my vehicles to this location for several years now. The reason why I returned is because Im always greeted at the front desk with great customer service. And then greeted with Sean or one of the other crew members regarding the mechanics and of it that always know what direction to go to correct my problems. Ive taken a couple different vehicles these folk over the last few year and have never been disappointed. When I was sure my starter was toast and was expecting they would replace it, they instead simply tighten the bolt on the hot lead from the battery and charged appropriately. The staff is cheery, polite and always provides superior service.

I was referred here when I stopped in Knoxville and my car broke down on my way to CO. It kept shutting off at every stop. They told me I could bring it in and they’d have a look at it for me, even though they wouldn’t be able to work on it bc they were short staffed and short notice. They wanted to help me to figure out the problem so I wouldn’t get ripped off at some other untrustworthy shop. They even gave me and my friend some Very yummy chocolate cake :)I’m very thankful for what they did to help me and I’d recommend them to anyone in that area!

The Best!After I had spent so much time and money on a repair to an old Volvo, I was beginning to think about a trade in and taking on the burden of a car payment. All for an issue I had been told, wasnt an issue at all by other mechanics. Knowing my car shouldnt thud, when passing over potholes, It was a last resort to try Phibbs Auto Service. After their service was completed, I drove away to again hear the dreaded thud. Turned around, going back to Phibbs, almost ready to cry... out of the cumulative frustration.Thats when Mr.Phibbs came out to meet me, shook my hand and said You brought this car to have the thud fixed and we are going to take care of that, for at no further cost. And they did. So months later I am now writing my review. Also, their mechanic Kenny is my go to guy for old car questions with experienced answers.I am Grateful. Theyve proven to be a blessing to my car and most importantly, my peace of mind!

I live four hours from Knoxville and drove in Friday to see the Saturday football game. When I got to Knoxville, my car started missing and check engine was flashing. It was about 2 pm when I called Phibbs, he told me to bring it in. Within two hours they had replaced a coil and the plug, repairing my car and allowing me to get back home after the game. If they had not provided special attention to my situation, I could have had to ride a bus home, then travel back to pick up my car. I highly recommend Phibbs Auto Repair.

What a great experience! I will not go anywhere else for car service.I have an old 2000 Celica GTS that has 210,000 miles on it. I had stopped driving it around because I had another car service and repair company, Protoy, tell me that my transmission was cracked, whatever that is supposed to mean. No one I asked ever knew. However, I had replaced the transmission once already and knew even with a used transmission, I was looking at a minimum of $2500. Honestly, with a few other minor repairs that car needed at the time, and the age and miles, who knows what else couldve gone wrong. This was my daily driver, however I was able to drive my grandmothers car in the meantime, so I decided not to have it fixed.After looking into selling the car, I thought Im going to get a second opinion. I searched and look at tons of reviews online and came across Phibbs. I decided to take it in, took one small loop around the block with Jim, and he immediately knew that it was not the transmission. Come to find out, my engine mounts were all either loose or missing. I love that little car and was able to get the mounts and several other repairs done at a reasonable cost thanks to Phibbs! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and easy to work with. Thank you to Jim and his team! Highly, highly recommended. P.S. This work was done 7 months ago and no issues whatsoever have risen since.

Really good experience. My family had used them extensively and I am beginning to see why.Jaimie (sp?) looked at a bolt I needed extracted from my engine block, told me how theyd do it, and gave me a quote.I had to reschedule a couple times due to work and the incompetence of my dealerships parts dept (another story) and he was accommodating and friendly each time.Once it was time to do the work, they did a great job, explained what they did, and charged what was quoted.Ill be coming back, theyre great.Edit 7/26/19:Have come back twice since, once for a heater core replacement (monster job requiring disassembly of the dash, very time consuming) and a minor job to fix an annoying buzzing noise underneath the truck. Both were done very professionally and at very reasonably with good communication. During the dash reassembly, they actually routed a Bluetooth microphone I had connected to my stereo through the dash properly as a nice bonus. Highly recommend.
