I had an appointment for Sat 8-28-21 at 9:45am. I arrived to find the business closed. All lights were off. I waited 30 minutes and called but was forwarded to the answering center. They werent aware of this location being closed. The gentlemen with the 10am appointment arrived while I was waiting. There wasnt a sign posted saying they would be closed and neither of us had been notified. I also found the back gate open with the lock hanging. Very unprofessional. I drove 45 minutes to get there and will not be making that trip again unless Maaco can explain why I wasted my Saturday morning and make it right.

Just had my Scion painted and man is it pretty. Its just my daily get around so I didnt go all out, but for what I paid it looks incredible. Staff was super friendly and even though it took an extra day or so (they were short handed) the job wasnt rushed and Im very happy with the product. Thanks guys!

Different people say different things! Paint had bubbles, didn’t paint the bed of the truck, overspray everywhere. They have you sign everything as you pay without doing a walk around the completed vehicle (no way to express concerns until after they take your money). No standards for delivering a vehicle properly! After they gave me my keys I went out to look and noted everything I stated above! I went back in to see what i do if something isn’t right, they went straight to the manager! I expressed my concerns and he stated he’d take care of everything! I called two days later to see if truck was ready and was told it was. Drove 45 minutes to find nothing but the overspray was corrected! Went back in and the manager wasn’t there so I left. Female in front office called me shortly after I left to find out what needed to be done, I told her the manager already knew and that things like this could’ve been avoided if there was some sort of vehicle delivery procedures! She didn’t like me telling them how to do there job so she said you signed everything and technically we don’t have to fix anything! This was a Friday so I called back Monday to talk with the manager who wanted to know what needed to be corrected and admitted he should’ve taken notes. He said he would call me back in a couple hours to let me know when I could pick up my vehicle and now two more days have passed! Ridiculous! Do not use these people! Unprofessional! Unorganized! They could care less what your car looks likes as long as they get your money!

Unorganized Chaos !  my experience. After reading reviews I decided to take my car for  a estimate. I wanted the best service offered base coat clear coat . Estimate approximately 2k .        Fast forward 3 weeks later I called the day before pick up I was told car was complete . When arriving I was told 30 minutes in detail and Id be ready.  4 hours later and lots of over spray I was on my way . Now Ive got hours of detail to do 😔 Edit: But on a positive note the paint job was nice

Paint looks fantastic. Very pleased with the paint and price paid for it. However, I had 3 issues after picking my vehicle up. 1: My driver side door window is not working properly. 2: My interior light no longer comes on when the driver door is open. (Both were fine before) 3: A new windshield was put in the vehicle shortly before having it painted. I now have 3 visible scuffs at the top of my windshield that appear to be from a grinder or sander. In fairness, I have not reported the issues to them. Its hard to find time to deal with these things. Ill probably try to solve the door issues myself. The windshield is what it is and Im not really bothered by it. Stuff happens.

I need a paint job on my truck, I called this location today.BUT after reading the many bad reviews, I am extremely concerned about the possibility of a poorly done paint job.What if the paint job looks bad?What is the WRITTEN warranty?Does this location stand behind the written estimate?What if they miss a spot?

I called and made an appointment for an estimate at 9:30a, which was confirmed available. When I arrived, all the lights were off and the office door was locked. I called the local number and there was no answer, so my call was forwarded to a corporate answering service. The office confirmed this location should be open.

My car really looks great

Had some body work and paint performed. Work was fair and what I expected and overall I am happy. I am disappointed however because when I got my vehicle back, the driver side window didnt roll down anymore and it was working when I dropped it off which is weird. Customer service could have been better as well but the work performed is what I expected versus paying a high end paint shop to quote me probably double what I paid.

Said my car would be ready 3 days max and it took over a week, and not once responded to my phone calls

Manager Dustin did an excellent job. But due to this Maaco 1 week notice shutting down. Maaco was unable to complete all the warranty work. such as: a flaw in the hood scoop paint job.

I paid $400 extra just to have passenger side door fixed before it was painted and they just painted over the dent! Very dissatisfied with that part of the job. It really looks bad on a newly painted vehicle. The door needs to be fixed like I paid for it to be or I should get refunded the money you charged me to make the repair you didn’t fix. You just don’t paint over dents and hope it covers them up!

We had our car repainted with base and clear coat. We are very pleased with the work, the car looks new.

I drove my 1993 Bronco in on 22nd of March for a complete paint job and new vinyl interior. A week later I stopped in to drop off more parts and was told that they were closing but would have my vehicle done. Two days later I was told that my vehicle would not be done and I would have to pick it up Friday. It was in pieces and I had to have it towed to another body shop. They piled everything up inside and I dont even know everything is there. I had to pay $2,600 for this. Corporate customer service was terrible and would not offer anything. After I posted pictures on MAACOs website they blocked me. They do not honor their so called warranty. I do not recommend them for anything.

Repaired minor dents, scrapes, and scratches. Took hood, top, and trunk to bare metal and primed. Painted the same color with base coat and top coat. Over all great job. We’re well pleased. Did leave a dusty mess inside and in the trunk.

I took my 1985 Firebird to be repainted pink and they was able to match the color perfectly. Im overall very satisfied for the price I paid and my car looks beautiful again. We will also be using them in the future to paint other projects.

The Maaco on Western ave. Knoxville Tn is without a doubt the finest paint, collision repair and restoration facility in the state. The job they did on my 94 dodge ram is beyond comparison. The staff and management are as professional and competent as it can get. They will have my work from now on and will be highly recommended to anyone I know needing repair and paint and restoration work done. They are the best of the best.

Got a great price and great paint job at Maaco this spring. This 86 F-150 badly needed new paint, and these guys delivered. The staff was great at listening and providing options or guidance on decisions.

I went there Sept 2017. I paid $3376.94. When I picked up car it was so full of dust it looked brown. (Car is black) I pointed out the bumper piece was hanging and they quick glued it. I was told not to wash car right away, paint needed to cure. I did as they said and after first wash I saw how they had so many places where they painted over large dust. Not to mention the hood edges looked terrible. It was so bumpy you could see it just looking at hood closed. Within 6 mo there was a spider crack on hood, called and they said I could bring it to them and they would see if it was something warranty would cover I opted out. Why would i do that again? Leave it for who knows how long. Its about 100 miles away. Recently the bondo they did was cracking and in turn cracked paint. I took it to Illusions in Bristol tn, amazing work!

I took my first car to Maaco in 2009 and was immediately blown away by the attention to detail I received from this location. I was not just a number to be moved in and out. Instead I felt like they took the time to get to know me and what my specific needs were in my paint job, which helped them to provide me a paint job that was above and beyond what I thought I could get. I have been in to Maaco several more times since then, including just a couple of months ago for a touch up on my current car a Chrysler Crossfire. I absolutely love the consistency in top notch service I receive every single time! The manager Daniel even takes out the time to learn his customer’s names and always recognizes me when I walk in the door. He is always very down to earth and personable and you can tell he takes pride in his work and is very knowledgable. Being a female I have had negative experiences at other shops where I felt like they tried to take advantage of me hoping I would be naive. At Maaco I know I don’t have to worry about that. I have referred friends here before too and I know when I do that I can trust Maaco to give sound advice and service at a great price. As long as they are in Knoxville I will ALWAYS be a loyal customer of MAACO.

I used MAACO to repair the exterior of my dad’s 1984 Chevrolet K10 pickup that had been neglected for years. They did an outstanding job, always asking me before doing any work outside of the original estimate. The truck looks better than I thought was possible, and it was done for the estimated price plus the adjustments that we made together as the work was completed. I will use them for all future body shop needs.

I had my car in for a repair where my husband backed into my car in the back. They were very good and cared about you as a customer and their job well done. I recommend this company very much.

If I was willing to spend the money I would give this business a try but they seem only interested in restoring a vehicle to just off the assembly line condition. Its not worth the cost for an older high mileage vehicle like mine.

These guys are all nice. I have a Tahoe that’s silver and the sun had faded it on the hood and top bad. They painted the entire thing and it looks good! And I’m picky!!! I’m going to take another car they and let them fix where someone else painted a fender and the paint is coming off where the other shop looks like didn’t even prime the fender. I think you get more than your money worth out of them and it didn’t take that long either

I had my white Honda minivan painted after the factory paint was defective, chipping and flaking off. Honda refused to fix it. Maaco did a great job. It looks like new again. Im very pleased.

Everyone cares and really do a good job on my vehicles. I will always bring my vehicles back to them. Did take a little longerdue to unforeseen circumstances but they got it done.Dustin and his team do really good work.

The Western Avenue shop is the best body shop I’ve ever used. They went far above minimum standard of care for my vehicle (99 Porsche Boxster) and treated me with respect. I can’t say enough good about this shop.The last shop that serviced the body on my car after it had been hit from behind left all kinds of visible patterns in the paint. They also didn’t align the trunk lid correctly.This Maaco repainted my entire vehicle with no visible swirls or streaks or drips. They repaired all the dents and dings from years of use and cleaned my headlights. I won’t take a vehicle anywhere else for body work.

They are the worst place to take your car toThey charged me the highest price in Knoxville and promised to do a good work on my car but when I got the car they didn’t fix anything and it’s worst than it was I wish I didn’t go to this place

You get what you pay for.......I understand that. And Im not complaining about the quality because I got what I paid for. What I am complaining about is being misled. The discharged my A/C while fixing the frame. They told me the took to someone else to have it evacuated and filled. After we got the car home, the A/C wasnt working so we took it back to them. They added more freon. It still didnt work. So we took it back and they took to their A/C guy. Their A/C guy said the compressor was bad. I asked him about the evacuation. He said he had never seen the car. Their A/C guy happens to be a very reputable company. So basically, who evacuated and recharged the system? Was improper service was caused it to go out? Plus, the car is now missing parts that they say werent with it. This has not been a good experience.

We just stopped by after finding a new hood for my car. (My old one had hail damage.) The manager there was so kind, helpful, and understanding. He helped immediately. It took them about 10 minutes. They were wonderful!

Maaco gave my 76 Ford F100 and a beautiful new finish patching, hammering out dents, and painting. And they managed great quality, a reasonable price and fairly speedy delivery. What more can you ask for?

Took my blue/brown 1982 k10 chevy truck to the guys at maaco, in September , they did a outstanding job on my rough old truck. Now it is definitely a head turner. They encouraged me to drop in and check on it regularly and completed the job when they said. I definitely would recommend them! Thanks guys for going the extra mile.

Terrible service. Will not return calls in a timely manner and car not ready on date promised. No excuses given just told car not done. Did not even call us to tell us when car was actually done. I would not recommend them to anyone. Avoid at all costs

Maaco replaced and paint matched my front bumper cover about a month ago. The paint job was great, but fast forward 4 weeks and as I was backing out of a parking spot, the bumper cover fell off the passenger side making my car undriveable. Upon inspection, there were two clips that were supposed to hold the bumper cover on that Maaco was supposed to replace that they didnt. They also failed to properly secure another piece leading to this happening. I now have to pay for towing to the shop, and a rental for at least a week. To make matters worse, I have to leave my car there until Monday (this happened on a Saturday) and they dont even have an answering machine for me to leave a message on to tell them what happened! Right now Im so mad and frustrated I would rate lower than 1 star if possible, I will change my review when the situation is corrected.

See edit below.. So i took a bright red large sprinter van in to get a complete change to grey.. Good price/estimate... base/clear coat.. price went up $800 after it was there. On there behalf the windshield channel after being pulled needed some repairs, but that was going to be $150. I will say some of the sprinter van looks good.. unfortunately some of it looks like a diy job. I wasn’t expecting a show car finish by any means, but I paid extra to get dings, old lettering and some old two tone paint lines removed.. the hood looks fantastic.. but they forgot to paint the trim around the grill and headlights? the lower rocker panels are still red in spots? Wth? The sliding door still has a line down the lenth of it and a paint run.. a huge ding in the side that i circled is still there. Windshield wipers were not reinstalled and the nuts that hold them on are gone. Door jambs look good except the pass side has spots where its still red. Again.. Wth? On a good note the hood looks fantastic. I’m hoping these issues will be fixed and i will change my review.... i never leave reviews but feel disappointed ☹️ oh yeah and someone stole my apple car charger.....update.. I took the van back by and showed them the areas i had problems with... they pretty much repainted the giant campervan without complaining or trying to get out of it, they even repaired a spot on the hood that wasn’t anything they did.. that being said the paint they used this time around doesn’t match the first so now its two toned

I took my custom 1976 Corvette Stingray the 27th of last month for all the bodywork and a new paint job.I was updated through every step,with pictures and texts at the end of every process and exactly how each unforseen problem was fixed,and fixed correctly.My Vette was painted Carbon Flash Metallic,which is pretty close to black in the shade(and everybody knows if the body isnt straight it will show up like a sore thumb.Also after the paint has cured about a month or 2,( My choich of when)to bring it back for a good wet sand and 4 more coats of clear.I personally cant say enough about the quality and how professional all the guys were that I worked with during this last month.I just cant say enough good about these guys,and MAACO on Western Ave,Knoxville.If I ever have another car,truck,or even a motorcycle painted again,I will take it over there.I have seen alot less quality for alot more money,I couldnt be happier with my Vette!!!!
