What a cool shop w/ a great selection

I was shocked that I checked out at only about $30 for a new chain, installation, and a basic tuneup. He aligned my brake pads away from scraping the tire, inflated the tires, and obvious stuff like that. He said a complete checkup. would be in the vicinity of $100, depending on what he finds, because he does a thorough teardown and rebuild with grease and whatever, more thoroughly than what other shops offer. Id believe his word because he was the nicest guy ever, one of two operators there, and we talked about all the KC bike lifestyle and e-bike upgrades and car totes and everything.Originally, I had called on the phone and I didnt leave a voicemail, but someone checked their caller ID, called me back that day, and left me a voicemail to apologize for being busy and invite me in. Then they responded to my private messages on Facebook. They post customer photos and stories on social media. Thats some next level responsiveness, and theres no way a typical busy owner/operator shop would do that.The shop is located inside the same door as Fetch, up the stairs on the second floor but they have a freight elevator upon request. Its the classiest bike showroom Ive ever seen, with a thousand models of all types including e-bikes. Checkout is modern with computers, and the service workstation is right next to it so you can watch them work from your couch and coffee table. There is a ton of parking space in a safe and extremely friendly business neighborhood, next to a Vietnamese coffee shop, a gift shop, and around the corner from a few restaurants.West Bottoms is a destination in itself. The building is a super classic restored warehouse with gorgeous old wood floors, so it is a sight to see.I didnt think that a historical district full of warehouses and bridges would be so insanely remodeled and classy and safe. The overall experience is a real gem of KC. Yes, go do sightseeing and photography at a bike shop.

Absolutely amazing service. Every time I’ve been there I get such great advice in addition to the great parts. They keep a ton of stuff in stock too so they’ll get you back on the road/trail right away. Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate your help and the way you run your shop.

I had a great experience purchasing my first gravel bike from World Class Bikes! Before I made the drive, I called and Jay answered all of my questions. I decided to go in and Jay made sure to find the right bike for me. He didn’t try to upsell me and knew what my overall budget/wants were for a bike. Overall, I am so pleased with World Class Bikes and would 1000% come back for my next bike!

The gentlemen running the shop are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. I was only in town for the night and wanted my wheels converted to tubeless... they gave me great conversation all the while getting the job done, and didn’t hesitate to educate me on how to install, maintain, and properly care for my new purchase. Amongst big chain bike shops, this spot is a breath of fresh air.

One of the best bike shops in Kansas City. Mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. Great selection of bikes and accessories. They were also able to get my bike fixed as a walk in after I got turned away from Midwest cycles.

Love this store and the owner. His attention to details and bike maintenance, almost to the point of OCD, is impressive and very welcomed. He has an awesome selection of bikes and at really reasonable prices. I 100% recommend this store to everyone.

The name is self explanatory. EXCELLENT customer service. Brought my bikes in for service and was very pleased with the communication and service received. Will be keeping my business at this bike shop from now on.

The owner Jay is a super nice guy and has a great selection of both mountain and road bikes, supplies, accessories, and much more. Service is great and they know what they’re doing. Highly recommend these guys!
