So this for some reason wasnt posted publicly on my other email. Hopefully it gets posted this time or Ill 1 star this place on every email I have on every website that lists reviews :)3 months ago my fiance and I came into this store to check out the purple mattresses. We ended up purchasing the hybrid 3 and it came with a free pillow and sheets which was great. We were moving into a new apartment so we wanted them delivered 2 months out. We were told this was perfect and that everything was in stock. The day of move in I called to see roughly when the mattress would be delivered that day. The lady that picked up looked into it and found that it was never even scheduled to be shipped to out place. She also advised us that the pillows and sheets that were in stock 2 months prior were now out of stock. So not only was I sleeping on the couch on my move in day but I also had no sheets or or pillows for my new mattress that was scheduled to come the next day now. I called and complained and was told they would take the delivery fee off and let me know when the sheets and pillows were ready. Nearly 1 month later I decided to call to see if they were ready yet. The lady informs me that yes, they are infact in stock and have been for a while. Seems like this place has a bunch of incompetent people working for them, they are nice people but very incompetent. The 150 dollar delivery fee that was taken off is not enough.

Update on original review... (change from 1 star to 4 stars) I have been completely refunded. In the end, the buying experience at Mattress Firm was great. Returning the Purple bed was super easy. My only issue is with my salesman that kind of had an attitude with me when I was contacted about returning the bed. Thats when I was threatened with the $99 shipping charge and the 20% restocking fee. Other than that guy, my Mattress Firm experience was great!Bought a Purple mattress there. Purple has a 100 night 100% money back gaurantee. But what Mattress Firm DOES NOT tell you is that if you buy from them, you have to pay $99 for them to come pick it up plus a 20% restocking fee. I would NOT have bought a Purple mattress from Mattress Firm had I known that up front. Why would I do that???? I think what Mattress Firm doesnt realize is that when you do this kind of sneaky BS to people you lose more than you gain. I mean, Ill never go there again... Ill also tell everybody I know about the bad experience I had with them. So in the end, they get a little bit of my money now, but the loss of future sales will cost them so much more.

My husband and I recently went to Mattress Firm planning on purchasing a queen size foam mattress for our son and a king size Purple mattress for ourselves. However, the very convincing sales person showed us a floor model Intellibed mattress that was being clearanced out. In the store the king mattress was fine but after a week and a half of sleepless nights and the mattress not living up to the hype I called the store to see what my options were. It turns out that I have no options, I am stuck with the bed since it was a floor model. We were told that there would be no 120 day sleep trial but were left with the impression that we’d have 30 days. No one ever said this would be a final sale or that no returns or exchanges would be available. We do not buy mattresses often, once every 15 years, but when we spend over $2000 on one we expect it to be comfortable.Also, regarding Mattress Firm’s sleep trial. The fine print says if you decide you don’t like the bed you’ll have to pay a 20% restocking fee plus $99 shipping to send it back to the store.Learn from my mistakes. Don’t buy an Intellibed, they’re far to firm, shake every time your partner rolls over and the mattress is so thick that it severely limits your sheet buying options. Go with an online mattress store. They offer up to 365 days for their sleep trial and not only will refund your money if you don’t like it but help you find a place to donate the mattress you don’t want, they don’t want it back for sanitary reasons!

Rusty was very helpful in helping us pick out a new mattress set after we were experiencing pain with our current one. He had us go through a trial process to figure out which firmness and which type of mattress we liked best. He also asked us our budget and tried to stay within that range. He even gave us different options of packages to get the most bang for our buck. There were many customers that came in after us and he was very diligent about checking with us to see how our testing was going and offered more options while taking care of other customers as well. Rusty helped me and my husband find the perfect mattress this past weekend. From the moment we walked in Rusty asked us questions and made suggestions that fitted our needs. My husband likes firm and I like soft so we we weren’t easy to please. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, a torn rotator cuff, acid reflux and several other problems that make sleep so difficult for me. Rusty had us lay down and changed some settings on the adjustable base they had set up and it was genuinely life changing. The lumbar support feature on the base was incredible. I am so excited to get it set up as I can’t say I’ve ever been truly comfortable laying in bed before I laid on the Purple mattress and adjustable base combo. I had a bit of trouble deciding to make the plunge since I’m a bit stingy with expensive purchases. He took immediate action to investigate what discounts and options were available and got us an awesome deal that we felt really happy with. I also really appreciated his intuition about when to give my husband and I some space to discuss prices and when to ask questions etc... he was the perfect salesman!

My wife and I had been to Nebraska Furniture Mart 3 times looking to get a new bed. Well this was to be the time because I was tired. When we got there i was told by a sales man Not to Forget my VETERANS discount. The sales person said there were none. We decided to leave again.Now we decided to stop and just look at Mattress Firm. The sales person their was great. He explained everything where Nebraska furniture Mart only wanted a sale and leave.We left and after only 1 visit we made that purchase. The salesman did everything and we actually got a Better Complete bed for more then 1500 less then the other place. We got everything she wanted and more then what was not even thought of from the other place.We are so Happy we stopped,I suggest Mattress Firm Kansas City over Nebraska furniture Mart any time. Great service. The young lady who helped me knew hew stuff.

I purchased a bed set on Jul 14, 2020. The delivery was scheduled for a couple of weeks later. I informed the sales agent that because my wife was disabled and in therapy that the delivery time needed to be negotiated. She said she had no control over delivery but would inquire about delivery times. The delivery date came and went and nothing was delivered. I received a call from a manager who said that someone forgot to schedule the delivery and Id have to wait until Sept 11 to receive the beds. Again I advised the company that delivery dates and times had to be coordinated due to my wifes therapy. On Sep 10 I received a notice that the delivery would be Sep 11 between 10AM and 12PM. I called the sales agent at the store to inform her that I would be with my wife in therapy during that timeframe and asked if the delivery time could be adjusted. She said no. With that I cancelled the order. A couple of things upset me: the sales persons refusal to work on my behalf for delivery adjustment; the fact that no manager contacted me upon the cancellation of the order to find out why. Its a shame that a warehouse dispatcher wields so much power. It cost Mattress Firm several thousand dollars in that sale.

Overall great experience! As soon as we went in we were meet at the door with excellent service from rusty! He helped me find the perfect option for me very quickly. I will be returning to this mattress firm down the road!

During this pandemic, I was afraid that i wouldnt be able to find and test mattresses for my comfort. I was welcomed into the store and received excellent service an prices. Thank you Rusty, you were well educated and helpful!

Initially we went in just to look at the purple mattresses, because we wanted to get one, but you cant physically look at them online. We were greeted by Courtney, and her pleasant demeanor made our visit easier. She showed us a few different mattresses, and let us try the purple mattress we were looking at getting. After trying a few, we ended up going with a different purple mattress that we liked better. Our overall experience was exceptional, and it was made better by the customer service provided by Courtney.

I called the Kansas City Kansas location before we went to confirm they had what me and my wife wanted to look at. The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the mattress we wanted to look at.When arriving at the store we were greeted with a warm and bright welcome and he remembered what I wanted to look at and took us right over to try it out. We tried three different beds in our price range and ended up choosing a bed that we didnt even know was on sale and got an amazing price!All and all this experience was wonderful and many other companies could learn from this man and company.Thank you Kelcey!

Only negative thing to say is that most of the merchandise is in a warehouse at another location and some things are on back order so you cant get your goods right away. Other than that it was a great overall experience.

I was actually looking for a purple four but they only had the purple 3. Thats why I went to Kansas City on Sunday because they had a purple four. Rusty was incredibly helpful. I explained that I had a tight budget, and he really worked with me to be able to afford the bed that I really wanted. He gave me plenty of time to try out the bed and make a decision. I learned about the item I was looking for at a Mattress Firm location in a different city where the item I sought was not available to see or purchase. So I went to the 10800 Parallel location to see the item. It was available to see and to test but not to purchase. I may not have gone to the Parallel location if I had realized I could not purchase it there. However in the meantime I purchased a different item available at the Parallel location; it wont arrive for several days. But it seems comparable and with noticeable savings. Time will tell.
