An awesome art store located in Westport. Plenty of good deals and tons of options. There are multiple rooms with items for sale. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

I love this place because of the ma and pa type store. This is in original store it has class it also has great deals I bought the remainder of the Montana markers that they have stopped carrying but I got it for a great price. Now there are other art stores around the metro that you can go to and probably get better deals but youre not going to get that service that you get at cold snow so just do the right thing and come on and a cold For any of your art needs!!!!

I used to love it. Now its a struggle to shop. A mask is fine except my glasses fog. I didnt see the line needed to step behind. Very little lighting so extra difficult to see unless I am near a sunlite window. The store is not honoring patron purchase awards, part time hours and need to call.

Used to be a great art store but completely wrapped up in the Covid hysteria. Face masks have been proven time and again to be ineffective placebos, yet Coldsnows requires them to enter the store. And when i do get in they are about 30% stocked!. You know who doesnt have these policies and stays in stock? Amazon and Hobby Lobby - ill just go there next time i need something! Youre putting YOURSELVES out of business! Stop with these asinine policies and stock your store!

Really good prices on top quality art products. Theres another art shop on the other side of midtown that competes very well. But the frequency of their sales wins it for me. Best place to buy canvas.

LOVE going in here when I’ve got the time. They do pretty good sales every so often especially on canvases! I’m pretty sure they’ll even special order things if they don’t have it in stock? Don’t quote me though haha. They’re worth going to and I love supporting them

This locally owned art supply store is my go-to place for both framing and art supplies. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the store itself is like a Cave of Wonders for artists. They don’t have everything...but almost. Highly recommended!

Great place for artists to get supplies. Ive been many times, over the past 25+ years. The variety is great and good service too. It is not, however, a run of the mill craft store. Perhaps some who have left poor reviews were expecting more variety of things more suited to crafts? If you are looking for items for drawing, painting, and other ways to create art, this is the place.

They have extremely friendly staff every time Im in there, and its usually someone different than the previous time I visited (Im only there every few months). They have a enormous selection for all kinds of artists, whether you are a professional or a hobbyist or even just starting, an Illustrator, a sculpter, a painter, a carver, etc. They also have multiple floors, though Ive only been upstairs once and never downstairs yet. They also offer a student discount if you show your college ID card at the register. The only complaint I have is that the parking isnt great... they are on a busy street and i havent been able to find a lot, though they probably is one somewhere. I highly suggest them, regardless!

This is the art store that my grandmother has shopped at for many years and now I shop at. And for good reason! They always have what Im looking for. Creative Coldsnow is a breath of fresh air compared to other big box arts and craft stores. Cant recommend this local store enough.

Coldsnow is the best place to shop reasonably priced supplies in kc, and they give students a 40% discount if you show your student ID. Kcai kids can rejoice!

This local artist supply store has great prices and friendly staff. Best--if you need help framing your work, their competitive prices make it affordable and the experienced framing staff can take that hassle off your plate any time you need help prepping for art shows or gallery openings.

Huge maze of a place, but nothing to buy. All the shelves were barren except for a few stay supplies. Might be because it’s the end of the year and inventory stuff? Idk. Kinda weird. Employees were pleasant, but no public restroom, which was strange for the square footage of the place. I’ll just keep ordering from Blick online.

Used to be one of the best in Kansas City for art supplies. Now it is terrible and really dont know how it stays open. Empty shelves everywhere and prices are extremely high prices.

This store is a little gem! Blink and you might miss it but turn around and go back for a visit! I buy artistic odds and ends from them frequently.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I always come here for art emergencies and I know I can find what I need. The last time it was a pre-cut mat frame and another time clear sealant for a painting.The layout is strange and if its busy it does get crowded but its big so you can spend some times looking around. The basement is really creepy but they always have weird stuff on sale and once I found 30 little mirrors for two bucks.You can always find something here and the prices are a little cheaper than Blicks.

No messages. I had to call and check over week later to find out it was on back-order. I canceled the order and went into the wilderness to find my supplies. Not happy. Neither was their manager. Ill send my students elsewhere too.
